Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

<![CDATA[Students' inability to think creatively in scientific classes is the impetus for this study. An appropriate Discovery Learning-based Science Supplement Textbook is the goal of this research, as is a description of its ability to boost students' creative thinking on Heat and Transfer Themes. Borg Gall's theory is the basis for research and development. The study's target audience was fifth-graders in Metro Timur District elementary schools. Using the purposive sampling method, 28 students from class V were selected for the study. Mixed quantitative and qualitative methods were used in the data analysis process. The Discovery Learning-Based Science Supplement Textbook was found to be practicable and useful in enhancing students' creative thinking abilities. The validation results of material experts, media experts, and linguists may conclude that the project is feasible. According to the experimental class's pre-and post-test scores of creative thinking, the category "Effective Enough" achieved an N-gain of 61%. In general, the students' responses indicated that the Discovery Learning-based Science Supplementary Textbook could help students think more creatively, according to the findings.]]>

<![CDATA[The research objective was to obtain a partnership concept in the supervision activities at SDIT Anak Sholeh Mataram in order to improve the quality of education. Basically, supervision activities are not only routine evaluations of educational activities. The research method used qualitative with case studies. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that a partnertralistic form of supervision at SDIT Anak Sholeh Mataram was evident from the involvement of parents, teachers, school principals, school committees, and class forums in various educational activities. This has implications for developing intense communication with all parties in increasing educational activities in schools.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to investigate the teachers’ perception and supervision experience using the google-form application during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected by using observation, questionnaires and interviews. There were 10 participants (male 5 and female 5). They were teachers (8 teachers), vice-principal of the curriculum and principal. The process of data analysis is through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and triangulation. The study results concluded that the google-form provides convenience in examining teachers' teaching and learning files. It was easy for school principals to assess the results of teacher teaching with a longer period before the implementation of online supervision, as an advanced form of using the google-form. The study results also had implications for teachers and school principals' understanding of the use of technology applications to improve teaching and learning or provide higher quality education.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to explore the teacher’s belief about TPACK in teaching writing during the Covid-19 pandemic era. It is in regards to content, technology, and pedagogy that in-service EFL teachers reflect appropriate technology integration and proper teaching strategy that support teaching writing during the Covid-19 pandemic era. This case study used semi-structured interviews and artefact analysis. Three in-service EFL teachers participated in this study. Although there were significant differences in their practical views, this study found how teachers elaborate their belief about in teaching writing, i.e. utilizing familiar smartphones apps, engaging content-based curriculum, and applying student-oriented teaching method. Moreover, the study confirms previous findings of the importance of TPACK in the EFL context. The study highlights the need for the acknowledgement of practical ways in classroom practice of the TPACK framework in teaching writing. Finally, this study might have implications for educational institutions to provide a better improvement in the future.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to determine the pattern of principals' leadership in implementing fair and tolerant leadership towards teachers and students who have different ethnicities, races, and religions. This study uses qualitative research methods, with the type of descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 6 teachers and 4 Vocational High School students. This study uses primary data and secondary data as data sources. At the same time, the data collection tools are through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The test of data validity is done by extending the period of observation, triangulation, and careful observation, and conducting member and checks so that the information obtained can be used in research in accordance with what was meant by the informant. Based on the findings, it is obtained that the principal's ethics of justice can be seen through the implementation of policies in his daily life, such as determining rewards and punishments based on fairness and tolerance regardless of race, ethnicity, and religion.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aimed to discover the students' perception of Powtoon animation video in Introduction to literature class. Technology had a significant impact on education. During covid-19, mostly online learning system was applied. Introduction to literature was one of the online class subjects done last semester at odd semester academic year 2020/2021 by using an online system. Sixteen meetings had been done for one semester, and the last project was creating powtoon to tell fiction stories. Thirty-five students involved in this research, and the project of powtoon was created by students as one project accomplishment in this class. The researchers set the qualitative research design by using interview. The interview result revealed that the students were enjoying creating powtoon in this class. They were motivated to use technology in the online class system and found more online media soon.]]>

<![CDATA[The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the hardiness profile of students in Islamic boarding schools and determine whether or not hardiness has a practical impact on students through Islamic boarding schools, with the top indicators being challenge, control, and commitment. Every shift brings with it a new set of challenges, which can be challenging to adjust to. This research employs quantitative methods to demonstrate this. For the 2020/2021 academic year, student boarding school students in Jakarta served as the study's subject population. As a result, 76 participants were chosen at random using a purposive selection method. It is possible to get data using the santri hardiness instrument as the method of gathering information. The hypothetical mean approach is utilized in this study to determine the optimal score, the minimal score, the standard deviation, and the theoretical mean. The score range is obtained in order to determine the category, which will be as follows: X 129.3 indicates a high category, 103.7 129.3 indicates a medium category, and X 103.7 indicates a low category. It is possible to conclude from these estimates that the hardiness profile of boarding school kids falls into the middle category. The result is that most students have attitudes and skills that are not yet optimal for coping with life difficulties in Islamic boarding schools.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to analyze the role model of achievement-based Islamic education management. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative conducted at Islamic Secondary School at Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The results of the research show that achievement-based management conducted by Islamic Secondary School at Kendari is divided into four stages. First, the planning stage by determining achievement targets, namely planning the activities to be carried out, looking at the race event, determining the coaching strategy and grouping students. Second, the stage of achievement-based student recruitment is the restriction of student quotas every year, special achievement pathways, academic tests, personality/ psychological tests and health tests. The stage of implementation of performance-based development through the construction of academic and non-academic fields as well as religious construction. The last stage is an achievement-based evaluation conducted via online, live review, parenting and PESONA (Week of Arts, Olympics and Sports) at the end of the year. <![CDATA[This study aims to know learners’ interest with blended learning at new normal period at the second, fourth, and sixth semesters of English Department, Islamic Religion Department, Islamic Banking Department, Islamic community Development Department of STAI Hubbulwathan Duri. This research used quantitative approach. The design of the research was a survey research. Total population was 260 respondents. The undergraduate students have the same qualification and academic background before doing survey. They had ever learned by using blended learning in a new normal situation. Sample of this research was 155 respondents. The total rating percentage of learners’ interest in involving in the blended learning was 69.98 %. it was in “agree category”. This category showed the respondents’ interest in blended learning process. Based on overall mean is 2.82 and standard deviation is 0.54. The respondents agree used to have the blended learning activities in their learning process. It means that the learners’ had good interest in their blended learning activities.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research was to investigate the digital competence of madrasah teachers during the covid-19 pandemic. The research used the qualitative method. It explored the phenomenon of madrasah teachers’ digital competence. The data were collected through observation and interviews. The study participants involved 1 principal and 9 teachers from grades 1 to 6. Data analysis consisted of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and triangulation. The study results conclude that the digital competence of madrasa teachers is still low, so that teaching and learning have not used multimedia technology. Therefore, the results of this study recommend the concept of training related to increasing the digital competence of madrasa teachers regularly because it had an important role in supporting the school's educational process.]]>
