Retention is the key to the success of a learning program. Several studies have shown that retention can be influenced by metacognitive skills, critical thinking, cognitive learning outcomes, and applied learning models. Meanwhile, testing the relationship between the three factors mentioned above and retention is only done using simple and multiple regression with two factors. This correlational study was conducted to determine the relationship between three factors, namely metacognitive skills, critical thinking, and cognitive learning outcomes on retention in students taught by RQA and QASEE learning models, as well as conventional learning. A total of 107 pre-service teachers of Biology Education students in South Sumatra, Indonesia, were involved in this study. The results showed a relationship between metacognitive skills, critical thinking, and cognitive learning outcomes with retention in students who were taught the RQA learning model. However, in the QASEE learning model and conventional learning, this relationship was not found. Thus, it can be concluded that more than two factors affect retention. Then, applying the appropriate learning model also influences the success of a learning program. Finally, conventional learning that only emphasizes efforts to get students to pass the exam must be abandoned immediately.

To support the Government's program to produce entrepreneurs, FTI UAD implements entrepreneurship education. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of entrepreneurial knowledge obtained from entrepreneurship education, either directly or through the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) component, in the form of attitudes and perceived behavioural control. The study was also to determine the effectiveness of TPB in describing the entrepreneurial intentions of FTI UAD students. The sample used was 205 undergraduate students who had taken entrepreneurship courses. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis used linear regression and path analysis. The results showed an indirect effect of entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial intentions through attitudes and perceived behavioural control. However, knowledge does not have a direct impact on entrepreneurial intentions. The study results prove that the TPB model to describe entrepreneurial intentions is quite good, with the magnitude of the coefficient of determination reaching 58.1%.

The development of students' scientific thinking in the field of akidah akhlak (moral theology) is very urgent, and for that process, a science-based project learning method is needed. This study uses a phenomenological approach to explore the involvement of faith and identity processes of madrasah aliyah teachers in developing science-based project learning methods, involving twenty moral theology teachers, conducted in-depth interviews to reveal the narrative of teachers' practice in using science-based project learning methods. Thematic analysis of two-group interviews with 20 teachers showed that teachers' personal beliefs provided a religiously-motivated narrative framework that facilitated the interpretation of one's experiences. The involvement of personal faith and religiosity, identity processes when teaching, plays a role in the development of science-based project learning methods on moral theology. The application of Islamic principles and faith is the main bond in the development of science-based project learning methods and attribution of identity from God-given personality to learning in moral theology. Identity processes, faith, and scientific thinking of students develop when following the learning of moral theology. In conclusion, this exploratory study shows that faith and identity processes in personal can improve science-based project learning methods. In the future, large-scale research could provide further evidence to reconsider the role of religious education in teacher training as an important factor in developing science-based project learning methods for teachers of moral theology.

The independence policy is a hot topic in the world of education. The premise that learning exists is carried out in the preparation of university graduates, both public and private, to meet the modern-day and rapid change challenges. Independent learning is a notion that aspires to excel from graduates as future leaders with an increasing number of personalities. Independent programs provide students with independence and flexibility to develop their potential through their hobbies and talents. This study will first examine the format of the eight Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs (MBKM) featured in the Merdeka Independent Campus Free Book released by the Ministry of Education and Culture's Directorate General Higher Education (Published in 2020). Second, a variant of MBKM that was adopted in the Odd and Even semesters of the 2020/2021 Academic Year at a university in Aceh's Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The findings indicated that there were eight Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs, including the following: 1) student exchange, 2) internship/work experience, 3) teaching in educational institutions, 4) village projects, 5) research, 6) entrepreneurial activities, 7) independent studies, and 8) humanitarian projects. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education has run a student exchange program with another university, a teaching assistant program in educational institutions, and a program to build villages/thematic lectures for students and lecturers who passed the selection process for a grant program called "Kampus Mengajar."

Data of their perception were collected by administering a 10-item questionnaire in an online version which requires them to respond on a scale of 1-10, ranging from not important to important, encompassing cognitive, affective, and practice dimensions. The main findings of this study revealed that school counsellors have similar perceptions on the importance of multicultural guidance and counselling either in cognitive, affective, or practice dimensions, according to demographic data categories of gender, age, and years of experience. The significant difference is only found as they are categorized into middle and high school counsellors.

Crimes committed by children are currently experiencing a very significant increase. In Indonesia, the settlement of criminal cases against children is included in vulnerable children who need more attention in fulfilling their rights. However, there are still many violations of children's rights during their status as perpetrators of crimes and afterwards. This study aims to analyze the fulfilment of the formal education of criminal children by Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Justice System. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study. The results of the study explain that Indonesia as a country that has ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child through Presidential Decree Number 36 of 1990 dated August 25, 1990, has further integrated children's rights into national law, namely into Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. Protection of children was created as an effort to educate and build quality and affluent children in education. These forms of protection include providing comfort, security, health, and adequate education. The existence of The Child Special Guidance Institute plays a vital role in fulfilling the educational needs of formal and non-formal children.
