Abstract

The study aims to investigate the types of questioning strategies that the English teacher used during the classroom interaction at Junior High School 18 Mataram and to discover how students respond to the teachers’ questions. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative and the participants were an extensive-experienced English teacher and 18 students of grade eigth. The result of this study showed that the types of questions used by the English teacher were 7 procedural questions, 9 convergent questions, and 2 divergent questions, and the result of the students’ responses were the lower-order thinking students' responses in the Understanding section (C2) and the higher-order thinking students' responses in the Analysis section (C4). In conclusion, while the teacher at SMPN 18 Mataram effectively employed questioning to manage the classroom and check comprehension, the limited use of higher-order questions constrained the potential for deeper cognitive and linguistic engagement. Future instructional practices should aim to diversify questioning strategies to better support the development of both language proficiency and critical thinking in junior high school English learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Komite Madrasah dalam pengembangan penyelenggaraan kegiatan pendidikan di MTs Al Muhajirin Ahua Watu. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Komite Madrasah memiliki empat peran strategis, yaitu sebagai pemberi pertimbangan (advisory agency), pendukung (supporting agency), pengontrol (controlling agency), dan penghubung (mediator agency) antara pihak madrasah dengan masyarakat. Keempat peran tersebut diwujudkan melalui keterlibatan aktif dalam perencanaan program, mobilisasi sumber daya, pengawasan pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta fasilitasi komunikasi yang efektif. Adapun implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi peran Komite Madrasah mampu memperkuat sinergi antara sekolah dan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, sekaligus menjadi model kolaborasi berbasis partisipasi yang dapat direplikasi pada madrasah lain. Dari sisi kebaruan (novelty), penelitian ini tidak hanya memotret fungsi Komite Madrasah secara normatif, tetapi juga mengungkap dimensi implementatif peran komite sebagai agen kolaborasi sosial yang berkontribusi langsung pada peningkatan kualitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis terhadap kajian manajemen pendidikan berbasis masyarakat, sekaligus kontribusi praktis bagi penguatan tata kelola madrasah yang lebih partisipatif, transparan, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu.

Abstract

This article discusses the learning design for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in Elementary Schools using the ADDIE model as a conceptual framework. The ADDIE model, which consists of five stages—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—offers a systematic and comprehensive approach to designing effective and relevant learning to students' needs. This study uses a qualitative approach by conducting a literature study, namely reviewing various literature related to the ADDIE learning model and PAI learning in Elementary Schools. The results of the study indicate that the application of the ADDIE model in PAI learning design can improve the effectiveness of teaching in a more structured, adaptive, and in accordance with curriculum objectives. This article also identifies challenges and best practices in implementing the ADDIE model in Elementary School environments, providing recommendations for educators to improve the quality of PAI learning. Abstract

The discovery learning model has been widely applied in the learning process at all levels of education. However, it is not known how effective the discovery learning model is on creative thinking abilities, especially science subjects at the senior high school level. The aim of this research is to describe how meta-analysis of the discovery learning model affects students' creative thinking abilities in science subject matter (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). The research method used is descriptive in the form of survey research using a meta-analysis design, namely by re-analyzing the results of scientific publications in the form of research articles, theses and theses. The data analysis technique used is effect size analysis using the Glass formula. The results of data analysis show that the average effect size of all publication results is 0.79 in the high category with an average effect of 78.81%. Based on the relationships between the variables obtained, learning using the discovery learning model to improve creative thinking skills is best applied to Biology subjects, the effect size is 0.95 in the high category and has an influence of 83%. Based on the subject group, the influence of discovery learning to improve students' creative thinking abilities in Biology subjects is 83%, while in Chemistry subjects it is 73.2%, and in Physics subjects it is 71.4%. Abstract

This article written to review and analyse about funding managemen in the Islamic Middle School (Madrasa) level. This research was conducted in a non-profit Islamic Secondary School, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Wates (MTs Muh Wates) by qualitative approach and descriptively explained. Data acquisition was carried out by interviews, observations, and documentation. At the research site, educational funds are obtained from at least two sources, there are School Operational Assistance / Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) obtained from National Revenue and Expenditure Budget / Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara (APBN) funds and committee donations from student’s parents. All these funds are accumulated and allocated on costs needed for the necessary expenses to facilitate teaching and learning activities in the school. Abstract

AbstractFaith education is an important aspect in the life of a Muslim. The concept of faith education, according to Shaykh Taqiyuddin an-Nabhani, offers an in-depth view of the importance of correct understanding of religious beliefs in the lives of individuals and society. The main emphasis in this concept is to build a strong foundation in religious beliefs as a foundation for Muslim individuals. According to Shaikh Taqiyuddin an-Nabhani, faith education starts from an early age and includes learning about the Koran, hadith, the pillars of faith, the concept of monotheism, the characteristics of Allah, as well as the social and political context in Islam. This concept also emphasizes the harmonious relationship between religion and science. Good religious education can help individuals develop strong beliefs, a deep understanding of religious teachings, and awareness of their role in realizing a political system based on Islamic values. The aim of this research is to examine the concept of aqidah education according to Syaikh Taqiyuddin an-Nabhani in the book Nidzamul Islam. This research is library research with the research object being the book Nizham al-Islam. The research approach used is a content analysis approach. The results of the research show that the aqidah education contained in the book Nizham al-Islam is: to obtain true faith, humans must make their faith emerge from the thought process, always research and pay attention and always refer to their reason and believe in the existence of Allah SWT. Aqidah explains that behind the universe, humans and life there is a creator (al-Khaliq) who has created all three, and who has created everything else. He is Allah SWT. Abstract

Educational success cannot be separated from the efforts of the school principal as a leader in directing and motivating teachers. This research aims to reveal the leadership strategies of school principals in increasing teacher professionalism. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources include teachers and school principals, while data collection uses interview techniques, documentation and observation. The analysis uses continuous participatory techniques, through the stages of data collection, presentation reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are: This research shows that the role of school principals in increasing teacher professionalism is supervision of teachers, involving teachers in workshop activities, and implementation of the independent curriculum. The principal's strategy for increasing teacher professionalism is giving rewards to teachers who have good performance, providing recommendations related to competency development to take the principal candidate test to teachers who have good performance. Obstacles for school principals in increasing teacher professionalism are the lack of facilities and infrastructure, low teacher incentives, poor behavior of some students towards teachers who teach in class.Keywords: Principal Strategy, Increasing Teacher Professionalism

Abstract

This article aims to systematically describe force majeure in Islamic boarding school management, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aspects studied are Islamic boarding school policies in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic phenomenon and the technological readiness of Islamic boarding schools. This research is qualitative research with a narrative approach, where various information is presented systematically as a series of events that have meaning. The research results show that: First, the Annur Azzubaidi Islamic boarding school issued a social restriction policy, not sending students home, so that educational activities were still ongoing. Second, technological readiness is very low, due to the boarding school's perspective which places more emphasis on providing traditional education. Accommodation and adaptation of technology is done slowly and very carefully. Socialization of Islamic boarding schools, especially during the season for accepting new students, is still carried out using traditional methods, without utilizing the latest technological products, for example the use of social media (in its various variants). This condition is an emanation of the attitude and consistency of the boarding school leaders towards the basic values that they believe in. The Annur Azzubaidi Islamic boarding school was founded to seek blessings from God, build the Qur'an generation, so as far as possible to prevent worldly competition.Keywords:     Force Majeure, Islamic Boarding School Traditions, Covid-19

Abstract

This article aims to describe the determination of student learning motivation, an analysis of PAI teacher creativity at SMA Negeri 1 Maligano. The research was conducted qualitatively with a narrative approach, where data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is carried out from data collection, data reduction, data display and data verification. Checking the validity of the data is carried out through a triangulation process, extending observations and increasing persistence. The results of the research show that the forms of creativity carried out by Islamic Religious Education subject teachers are opening and closing learning skillfully, explaining learning material, using varied learning models and methods, using appropriate learning media, providing variations, providing reinforcement, and using self-involvement techniques. This research is expected to provide information to Islamic Religious Education subject teachers and other subject teachers about the creativity of Islamic Religious Education teachers.Keywords:     Learning Motivation, Islamic Education Teacher Creativity

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of professional competence on teacher performance in Konawe Islands Regency. This research is quantitative research with correlational techniques, the sample size is 69 people. The data analysis used is simple regression analysis. The research results show that there is a significant influence between professional competence and the performance of high school teachers in Konawe Islands Regency. This means that the professional competence and performance of high school teachers in the Konawe Islands Regency are getting better. These results are also strengthened by the correlation test which shows that there is a significant relationship between professional competence and the performance of high school teachers in Konawe Islands Regency. The professional competence of high school teachers in Konawe Islands Regency is included in the good category. This means that high school teachers have high teaching quality and carry out their duties with full responsibility. The performance of high school teachers based on research results is also classified as good, which means that the performance of high school teachers in planning, implementing and assessing and evaluating learning activities has been carried out well.Keywords:     Professional Competence, High School, Teacher Performance
