Abstract

This community service initiative sought to enhance school leadership and bolster teacher proficiency in executing the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) curriculum via Passion-Based Learning at the Laboratory Elementary School of Universitas Negeri Malang, Blitar. The activity utilized a participative methodology comprising many phases: socialization, training, classroom implementation, mentoring, and assessment. Twenty participants, comprising one principal and nineteen instructors, engaged in the program. Quantitative data were gathered using pre-test and post-test instruments and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon test, whereas qualitative insights were derived from reflection sessions and observations. The results indicated a substantial enhancement in participants' comprehension and abilities, with the average score rising from 68.81 (good) to 90.36 (very good). Participants exhibited enhanced confidence, teamwork, and motivation in implementing Passion-Based Learning within the Merdeka Belajar framework. The program effectively improved instructional leadership, cultivated a passion-driven school culture, and established a sustainable framework for executing meaningful, student-centered learning.

Abstract

The tourism industry is currently at a critical juncture due to three major shifts: the rise of digitally driven tourist behavior, increasing demands for sustainable tourism, and the transformation of visitor expectations from merely seeing to experiencing and actively participating. However, the pentahelix collaboration model often remains rhetorical and under-implemented, constrained by sectoral ego, limited applied research, and overlapping policies. Purpose, this community service program aims to build real collaboration among tourism industry actors through digitalization, establish a bottom-up pentahelix trigger, and implement integrated strategies of digital presence, engagement, distribution, and conversion to support sustainable tourism development. Methods, the program employed an action-based collaboration approach through the following stages: (1) socialization on the new era of tourism and Experience Economy 2.0, (2) training on digital tourism strategies, (3) facilitation of concrete collaboration among tourism businesses, (4) assistance in implementing a shared digital platform and bundled products, and (5) evidence-based monitoring for informed decision-making. Results, the program successfully fostered real collaboration among industry actors, producing several key outputs: a shared event calendar, cross-destination bundled packages, an integrated marketing platform, standardized service quality guidelines, and cross-stakeholder human resource training. These initiatives contributed to increased tourist visits, higher occupancy rates, and improved revenue, as supported by measurable data. Conclusion, real collaboration among industry actors serves as an effective trigger for activating the pentahelix ecosystem. When the industry moves with evidence-based actions, other stakeholders—government, academia, community, and media—naturally follow. Digitalization functions not merely as a promotional tool but as a crucial enabler of collaboration. The results indicate that sustainable tourism can be achieved through concrete synergy and collective action rather than conceptual slogans

Abstract

This study examines the enhancement of high school teachers’ competencies in developing Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK)-based teaching modules integrated with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through a structured mentoring program at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang, Indonesia. The program involved 25 science teachers (biology, chemistry, and physics) who participated in workshops, mentoring sessions, and reflective activities aimed at strengthening pedagogical and technological integration for sustainability-oriented learning. The results demonstrate substantial improvement across all TPACK dimensions: Objective (1.8 to 2.6), Concept (1.9 to 2.8), Pedagogy (1.7 to 2.7), Technology (1.5 to 2.4), and Evaluation (1.6 to 2.9), with percentage increases ranging from 44% to 60%. These gains indicate a shift from Pre TPACK and Growing TPACK toward Maturing TPACK, particularly in pedagogical and evaluative competencies. Overall, teachers’ TPACK-based ESD competence increased from 2.02 (pre-test) to 2.80 (post-test) on a 4-point scale. The findings suggest that sustained, context-sensitive mentoring supported by digital practice and collaborative reflection effectively promotes teachers’ professional growth in integrating TPACK and ESD, aligning with the Merdeka Curriculum and SDG 4 and SDG 13

Abstract

This community service program aims to foster pragmatic competence and linguistic ethics by training senior high school students in English politeness strategies. Preliminary observations at SMA Rancaekek revealed that students frequently encountered communication barriers, relying on overly direct linguistic forms due to a lack of situational awareness and explicit pragmatic instruction. To address this issue, the program implemented a participatory and applicative approach through the three-tiered Identify, Illuminate, and Integrate (3I) framework, combining the Genre-Based Approach (GBA) and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL). The training actively engaged 50 eleventh-grade students in interactive lecturing, case analysis, and contextual role-playing simulations, while collaborating with local English teachers to ensure instructional sustainability. The empirical results demonstrated a significant increase in the students’ communicative competence, evidenced by the mean score rising from 54.20 in the pre-test to 81.50 in the post-test. Qualitatively, students exhibited heightened pragmatic flexibility and reduced communication anxiety, successfully transitioning from blunt, face-threatening expressions to sophisticated positive and negative politeness strategies. Ultimately, this initiative establishes a sustainable learning ecology that enhances students' real-world socio-pragmatic preparedness for future academic and professional interactions.

Abstract

This community service initiative, conducted on May 30, 2026, at the Aula SDIT Ummul Quro, Depok, aimed to enhance the capacity of the Sehat Bugar Baitussalam Community (KSBB) members in developing sustainable healthy food businesses.Aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1 (No Poverty) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), the program equipped 31 participating housewives with essential skills through participatory training. Implemented in three systematic stages, the training covered healthy food processing based on raw food concepts and fundamental MSME accounting. Quantitative evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in participants' understanding, with average scores increasing from 85.95 to 86.87. Furthermore, 32.26% of participants exhibited marked score increases, while 41.94% maintained high stable scores. The outcomes indicate that integrating practical culinary education with foundational financial literacy is highly effective in fostering entrepreneurial independence and enabling the adoption of sustainable business models among grassroots communities.
