Abstract

Sejak adanya pandemi COVID-19 di Indonesia, seluruh aktivitas baik perekonomian maupun pendidikan ditutup sementara dan diganti dengan metode daring atau online. Pada sektor pendidikan dikenal dengan istilah learning from home (LFH) yang mana mengharuskan interaksi antara murid dengan guru melalui media online dengan perantara orang tua untuk siswa kelas rendah seperti TK (Taman Kanak-kanak) dan SD (Sekolah Dasar). Pada penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai permasalahan, kesulitan, dan dampak yang dirasakan oleh orang tua siswa TK dan SD serta guru SD selama LFH dan cara orang tua untuk menyesuaikan metode pembelajaran di rumah selama masa pandemi COVID-19 ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif dan dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah orang tua siswa TK dan SD kelas rendah yang bekerja kantor dan guru SD serta pendamping pengajar siswa SD selain orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak dari adanya LFH nya ini ialah berkaitan dengan masalah dan kesulitan yang dihadapi yaitu pada waktu untuk mendampingi anak dan membuat video pembelajaran serta biaya tambahan untuk membeli kuota atau pemasangan wifi demi mendukung pembelajaran anak.

Abstract

Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) merupakan framework yang digunakan secara global sebagai acuan bagaimana pendidikan berkualitas harus disiapkan salah satunya melalui kurikulum. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh SDGs terhadap Kurikulum Tematik 2013 pada level pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan keperpustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menelaah berbagai sumber tertulis seperti buku, jurnal, dan dokumen yang berisi informasi lainnya. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan cara melihat kesesuaian antara kurikulum SDGs dengan Kurikulum Tematik 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ranah kognitif pada kurikulum 2013 bertansformasi sehingga memiliki kesesuaian dengan aspek pengetahuan dan pemahaman pada kurikulum SDGs. Sementara itu, ranah psikomotor juga memiliki kesesuaian dengan aspek keteramplan serta aplikasi dan ranah afektif memiliki kesesuaian dengan aspek nilai dan sikap. Secara detail aspek-aspek dalam kurikulum SDGs lebih mengembangkan keterampilan futuristic abad 21. Kurikulum sekolah dasar berbasis tematik yang bersesuaian dengan SDGs diharapkan dapat mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

This research aims to determine feasibility for the natural disaster and its mitigation based on Islamic Values for elementary school students. This study uses the research and development (RD) method, the model used in the research is the ADDIE model. This stage of development is analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of the research trials is 36 students of grade IV and V SD Muhammadiyah Pakel Program Plus Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and the teacher and student response assessment sheets are then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative data. Media Feasibility Assessment results by media experts acquiring a score of 4, material expert 3.9, learning expert 3.88, and linguist 3.50. Besides, a small-scale student response with a score of 97.5 and a large-scale student response with a score of 97.8. Based on some assessments, the average value of 95.1 was achieved with the "excellent" category. Based on this assessment, the category "Very Feasible" was obtained. The response from the teacher obtained from an extensive questionnaire obtained good results starting from the presentation of the material, the layout, the colors used, as well as the pictures/illustrations presented. From these results, it can be concluded that the natural disaster and its mitigation based on the Islamic values encyclopedia are appropriate for learning.

Abstract

Changes in education sector due to the Covid-19 pandemic resulting in changes to teaching and learning activities making teachers have to adapt to online learning implementation. Optimism is an internal factor that is relevant to predict the teachers’ readiness to face the future, given the meaning namely positive belief that individuals have in viewing their future. A qualitative method was carried out on seven elementary school teachers to find the overview of their optimism on teaching during Covid-19 pandemic. It was found that teachers did not feel optimistic at the beginning of the pandemic situation but begin to show optimism after one semester of teaching online. After conducting thematic analysis, we found that teachers show optimism in the form of three dimension of optimism with the most dominant behavior appeared in the form of personalization dimension. It is concluded that elementary school teachers have better chances to be optimist during teaching in the Covid-19 pandemic time, which implies that they will be motivated to try to overcome the difficulties they encounter.

Abstract

The transition of the teaching system from face-to-face to virtual learning teaching caused problems such as reducing student learning motivation. Since the learning activity is online, students. This study aims to explain the application of ice- breaking through virtual learning in thematic learning can foster student learning motivation. The research method used is a qualitative approach. Assalam Islamic Elementary School of Batu Malang City is the location of the research. Data was collected from informal interview techniques and documentation. The results showed that the application of ice-breaking and its implementation in thematic material through virtual learning in Assalam Islamic Elementary School foster student learning motivation. After giving the ice-breaking, the teacher could build students’ concentration, and the class is conducive. Virtual thematic learning in Assalam Islamic Elementary School using ice-breaking can create positive vibes on student learning motivation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low listening ability of elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of listening skills of fifth-grade elementary school students by using augmented reality-based learning media. This study uses an experimental model with a pretest-posttest control group design with a sample of 60 students. The instrument used in this study is to use a listening ability test, besides that the test results are analyzed by looking at the differences in students' listening abilities between students who learn by using augmented reality-based learning media and students who learn by using conventional learning media. The results showed that (1) there was a very significant difference in listening ability between the experimental class and the control class, and (2) the listening ability of students who studied using augmented reality-based learning media was higher than students who studied using conventional learning media. Through the use of augmented reality media, learning activities can be more fun and meaningful so that students do not feel bored studying learning materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self -efficacy and student achievement in mathematics class II at MI PGM Cirebon City. The approach used for research is quantitative and the research design uses a correlational research design. The population of this study were class II students of MI PGM Cirebon City. The sampling technique used a saturated sample with 48 students as respondents. The data collection instruments used were questionnaires and documentation. The research data were analyzed through normality tests, unilinearity tests, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 16.0 for windows. The results showed that the self-efficacy of class II students at MI PGM Cirebon City was in the moderate category. It is known that as many as 48 respondents with a percentage of 60.4% have self-efficacy and as many as 1 respondent with a presentation of 2.1% have self- efficacy. Learning achievement in class II mathematics at MI PGM Cirebon City, it can be concluded that having good learning achievement in mathematics subjects, shows a presentation of 79.2%. relationship between self-efficacy and student achievement in class II mathematics at MI PGM Cirebon City.

Abstract

Learning motivation is the key to success in teaching and learning assessment activities in elementary schools. However, learning assessment instruments so far tend to be monotonous and boring for students. The purpose of this research is to describe how the application of the Quizizz application which is a medium for conducting assessments in online learning, and to describe the increase in students' learning motivation through this Quizizz application. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, the results of interviews and observations are a data collection technique in this study. The research was carried out at Al-Azhar Islamic Elementary School, Cairo, Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra. The results of research in the field prove that the application of the Quizizz application, which is a medium in the assessment of the teaching and learning process, can foster interest and motivation to learn. This can be seen from the activeness and enthusiasm of student learning, competing to get high scores, and so on. Through the Quizizz application, students can learn while playing.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop digital-based thematic learning media, namely e-comics media for elementary school students. E-comics will be developed with the VARK (Visual, Auditory, Reading, Kinesthetic) learning model which displays illustrated stories with sound reflections and is related to students' reading and kinesthetic activities in using the media. The e-comics media will discuss ethnic diversity material for fourth grade elementary school students. The results of the validity test above, conclude that the average e-comics media based on the vark model is 96%, which means that the media is valid. The application of media at SD Muhamammadiyah Lamongan resulted in an increase in cycles 1 and 2, so e-comic learning media could increase students' understanding. The response results of using e-comics media based on the vark model were easy to apply by teachers and students at partner schools of PGSD UM Lamongan.

Abstract

The study adopted a quasi-experimental design of pre-test, post-test and control group involving (two treatment groups and one control group), with problem-solving oriented group counselling approach which involves social skills training and modelling counselling technique adopted for reducing various concerns associated with transition to tertiary institutions among secondary school students in Ilorin metropolis, Kwara State, Nigeria. Paired sample t-test and Analysis of Co-Variance (ANCOVA) were used to test the five null hypotheses formulated for the study. All the hypotheses were tested at .05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that a problem-solving oriented group approach of social skills training, t = 9.45; p .05) and modelling intervention, 13.32; p .05) were effective in reducing concerns associated with transition to tertiary institutions among the secondary school students in Ilorin metropolis. It was also found that differential effect existed between the two counselling techniques used in the study (t = 2.84; p .05) and there was no gender difference in the participants post-test results of the two counselling groups (F = .663 and 1.227; p .05).
