Abstract

This study examines the associations of Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) with stock returns, with Firm Size as moderator, among coal-subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2020–2024. Purposive sampling yielded nine firms and 45 firm-year observations. Model-selection tests supported the Common Effect Model, and inference used White Period robust standard errors. ROA is positively and significantly associated with stock returns, DER is insignificant, and TATO is negatively and significantly associated. No Firm Size interaction is significant. Profitability is the most consistent fundamental signal in this sample. Keywords: Return on Assets; Debt to Equity Ratio; Total Asset Turnover; Firm Size; Stock Return; Panel Data; Moderated Regression Analysis

Abstract

As competition on various digital platforms intensifies due to the rapid growth of e-commerce, purchasing intention now depend on factors such as consumer trust in a brand, their shopping experience, and their assessment of the value they receive. This study examines the effect of brand trust on purchase intention, with online shopping experience and perceived value as mediating variables among e-commerce consumers in Indonesia. The authors of this study employed an explanatory research design and quantitative methodology. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the data collected from 128 respondents via an online questionnaire. The findings show that online shopping experiences and perceived value are positively and significantly influenced by brand trust. Both factors significantly and positively influence a consumer’s likelihood of forming a purchase intention. However, brand trust does not significantly influence purchase intention. Furthermore, both variables significantly mediate the relationship between brand trust and purchase intention. These findings indicate that brand trust alone is insufficient to directly encourage purchase intention but operates through consumers’ shopping experiences and perceived value. This study contributes to the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework and highlights the importance of improving online shopping experiences and perceived value to strengthen consumers’ purchase intention.

Abstract

This study examines whether employee engagement mediates the training–performance relationship among 170 active administrative staff at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. PLS-SEM with a two-stage higher-order construct approach and 5,000 bootstrap subsamples showed positive associations between training and engagement (β = .295), training and performance (β = .343), and engagement and performance (β = .288). The indirect association was significant (β = .085; p = .005), indicating complementary mediation, while the direct path remained stronger. The model explained 8.7% of engagement and 25.9% of performance variance. Cross-sectional self-report data limit causal interpretation. Keywords: administrative staff; complementary mediation; employee engagement; employee performance; employee training; PLS-SEM

Abstract

This study examines customer satisfaction as a mediator linking service quality and customer intimacy to loyalty at Bank Jatim Gresik Branch. A cross-sectional survey of 204 customers was analysed using confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis with 5,000 bootstrap resamples. Customer intimacy was positively associated with loyalty, whereas service quality showed no significant direct association. Reported indirect effects through satisfaction were 0.614 and 0.175 for service quality and customer intimacy, respectively. However, inadequate discriminant validity, severe multicollinearity, poor model fit, and unavailable indirect-effect confidence intervals render the findings provisional. Measurement refinement is necessary before drawing firm conclusions about mediation. Abstract

This study examines psychological capital, supportive work environment, and work autonomy in relation to employee performance, with resilience as a mediator. A cross-sectional survey of 190 employees at the Environmental and Forestry Agency of the Special Region of Yogyakarta was analyzed using PLS-SEM. Psychological capital and work autonomy were positively associated with performance, whereas supportive work environment showed a significant negative association. All three predictors were positively associated with resilience; however, resilience neither significantly predicted performance nor mediated these relationships. The findings highlight the importance of psychological resources and appropriate work autonomy while suggesting further examination of workplace support mechanisms.

Abstract

This qualitative case study examines ATM cash-discrepancy complaint handling at Bank Jatim Bojonegoro Branch. Interviews with four employees and ten customers, supplemented by observation and documentation, were analysed using an interactive model. Findings reveal structured but predominantly reactive procedures, constrained by transaction verification, cross-unit and interbank coordination, and absent integrated early warnings. The proposed dynamic capability-based model combines early detection, coordinated response, customer communication, and operational learning. Proactivity concerns responding before customers complain. Without resolution-time records or comparative outcome data, the model remains a case-based proposition requiring validation rather than evidence of faster resolution or improved satisfaction. Abstract

This study examines customer satisfaction as a mediator linking service quality and service availability to loyalty at Bank Jatim Tuban Branch. A cross-sectional survey of 260 purposively selected customers was analysed using PLS-SEM. Service quality and availability were positively and significantly associated with satisfaction and loyalty. Satisfaction had the largest direct coefficient for loyalty. Significant indirect effects through satisfaction were 0.205 for service quality and 0.173 for availability, consistent with complementary partial mediation. However, unavailable bootstrap confidence intervals warrant cautious interpretation. The findings support coordinated improvements in service delivery and access, while the design precludes causal conclusions. Keywords: Service Quality; Service Availability; Customer Satisfaction; Customer Loyalty; PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling)

Abstract

This study examines associations of work motivation and work discipline with self-reported employee performance in an Indonesian local-government legislative secretariat. Census data from 50 employees were analyzed using multiple regression. Work motivation (B = .450, β = .520, p = .006) and work discipline (B = .380, β = .410, p = .018) were positively associated with performance. The joint model was significant (F = 18.500, p < .001), with R² = .440 and adjusted R² = .417. Motivation showed the stronger standardized association. Findings support integrated managerial practices combining meaningful goals, fair recognition, clear work standards, and consistent feedback

Abstract

This study examines dividend policy’s moderating role in the relationships of leverage and profitability with firm value among property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2020–2024. Purposive sampling yielded six companies and 30 firm-year observations. Data were analysed using random-effects panel regression and moderated regression analysis. Leverage and profitability were positively and significantly associated with firm value. Dividend policy did not significantly moderate the leverage–firm value relationship but significantly strengthened the profitability–firm value relationship. These findings highlight dividend policy’s role in reinforcing the association between profitability and firm value.
