Abstract

Many teachers find it difficult to create science learning media and do not have enough time to develop them. Many complain about the difficulty in understanding material involving formulas and unfamiliar terms. These abstract concepts in science are what make students tend to stay away from learning. The purpose of this study is to explain Can Augmented reality support science learning in the era of education 5.0?; Review. This review was conducted based on the review method. The results of this study explain about science literacy in society (learning in schools and universities) 5.0, namely the society 5.0 era is present as an answer to the problem of justice and equality of shared prosperity; advantages and disadvantages of augmented reality in science learning: the advantages of AR are: More interactive; Effective in use; Can be widely distributed on various media; Simple object modeling because it only displays a few objects; Manufacturers do not spend too much money;. Easy-to-use AR media also has disadvantages, namely: Sensitive to changes in perspective. There are not many manufacturers; Requires a lot of memory on the installed device; Requires AR-enabled hardware.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the condition of road pavement mechanically which requires large, time-consuming, impractical, and can only identify one type of road damage. The development of digital technology, then identifying the type of damage can be done with an algorithm or method to detect and analyze the type of road damage quickly and accurately. The purpose of the study is to identify the value of road damage with the visual method of Dirgolaksono and Mochtar, create a model of a road damage assessment algorithm based on digital imagery, and apply the digital image method to the road section being reviewed. The research method with the initial step of the algorithm process is taking pictures using a type of digital camera, so that a digital image is produced which is then processed using Matlab R2016a. The results obtained are the classification of road damage and the damage value of the road section obtained by visual road damage and digital imagery accurately. Validation is carried out with a strong correlation between visual and digital damage, which means that there is no difference between the visual damage value and the digital image damage value

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) within a problem-based learning (PBL) approach to enhance students' creativity and learning outcomes in science subjects at SD Inpres Tanamodindi. The research was conducted in Grade V of SD Inpres 1 Tanamodindi Palu, where students exhibit diverse academic abilities. Following the research design proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart (2013) and Zhong, Y. (2024), the study was carried out in two cycles. Data collection methods included observations, interviews, field notes, and learning outcome assessments. The findings reveal that integrating the STEAM approach into the PBL model at SD Inpres Tanamodindi led to an improvement in learning outcomes, rising from 64.65 in the first cycle to 71.77 in the second cycle. Additionally, students' creativity in solving science-related problems improved, progressing from the "sufficient" category in cycle 1 to the "very good" category in cycle 2.

Abstract

Pregnancy represents a profound physiological and psychological transition, often accompanied by significant discomfort, particularly during the third trimester. This discomfort, in turn, frequently triggers heightened levels of anxiety among expectant mothers. Pregnancy-related anxiety is a pervasive psychological condition, as highlighted by data from the WHO in 2015, which indicated that approximately 10% of pregnant women and 13% of postpartum women worldwide experience mental health disorders, including trauma and depression. Elevated anxiety during pregnancy poses considerable risks to both maternal and fetal health. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of self-hypnosis in reducing anxiety levels among third-trimester pregnant women. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach was applied, involving 40 pregnant women experiencing anxiety. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed a significant reduction in anxiety levels following the self-hypnosis intervention (p = 0.000; p < 0.05). These findings highlight self-hypnosis as an effective, non-invasive, and accessible therapeutic approach for improving maternal psychological well-being, with potential benefits for both maternal and fetal health.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effect of Google Sites Web-based learning media on student learning outcomes in science subjects of class X of SMK Negeri 1 Tana Tidung. This study is a quasi-experimental study targeting class X of SMK Negeri 1 Tana Tidung. The research respondents consisted of two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group with the same number of students, namely 11 students determined by the cluster random sampling technique. The data collection instrument was a test. The research data were obtained from the test results before and after learning. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Mann Whitney nonparametric test in the SPSS.16 program to see the differences between the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that there was a difference between the experimental group and the control group with a significance of 0.001 <0.05. These results conclude that there is an effect of Google Sites Web-based learning media on student learning outcomes in science subjects of class X of SMK Negeri 1 Tana Tidung.

Abstract

Batang Bayang River is one of the rivers that crosses densely populated settlements in Nagari Ujunggading, Lembah Melintang District. Domestic waste from the community, both liquid and solid, is often dumped directly into the river. This causes the condition of the river water quality to worsen due to minimal efforts to manage domestic waste and the habit of people who throw organic and inorganic waste into the river carelessly. The purpose of this study was to analyze river quality against community behavior and then recommend strategies for handling it. The research method used was to analyze test data from the laboratory and determine the level of river pollution using the Pollution Index (IP). To determine community knowledge, attitudes and actions using a questionnaire. The results of the correlation test showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and action with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, between attitudes towards actions with a significance value of 0.002 <0.05, and between knowledge and attitudes with a significance value of 0.011 <0.05. The handling strategy that can be done by the community is to process waste at home and create a waste bank. The strategy for the government is to provide outreach to the community, create village regulations, create TPS, build domestic IPAL, implement prokasih, cross-sector cooperation and budget priorities in the West Pasaman Regency APBD.

Abstract

Interest in learning and science literacy needs to be developed early on through learning media that is interesting, interactive, contextual, and environmentally friendly to form student awareness in protecting the environment. This study is a research and development (R&D) of Eco-Friendly Big Book Media for grade 1 elementary school students, which aims to increase students' interest and science literacy. This media is prepared with an interactive and varied approach, in order to increase the involvement of students in the learning process. This research uses the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, this research was only carried out up to the validation stage for product feasibility testing, which involved qualitative and quantitative data analysis, focusing on validation by material experts and media experts as an evaluation step. The validation results show that the Eco-Friendly Big Book Media is very feasible to use, with a feasibility score of 96% from material experts and 95% from media experts. This media is expected to be an effective solution in supporting teachers to increase students' interest and science literacy, especially in grade 1 elementary school.

Abstract

This study evaluates the management of school libraries in three vocational schools in Malinau—SMK Negeri 1, SMK Negeri 2, and SMK-SPP Negeri Malinau—based on the National Standards for Libraries in Senior High and Vocational Schools (Peraturan Kepala Perpustakaan No. 12 Tahun 2017). Using an evaluation research design, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving school principals, library heads, teachers, and students. The findings indicate several challenges, including insufficient technology, outdated resources, limited space, and inadequate staff support, which hinder library effectiveness. To address these issues, improvements in technological infrastructure, space optimization, resource enhancement, and staff development are necessary. Strengthening school library management is expected to improve the learning environment, academic achievement, and information literacy among students. These findings provide valuable insights for school administrators and policymakers to align library management with national standards and enhance their role in supporting education.
