Abstract

Learning style is a vital component in improving the quality of learning in physics classes. This study identified the learning styles of pharmacy students in learning physics based on Felder Silverman's Learning Style Index (ILS) through a survey of first-year students. ILS Felder Silverman determines the 4 dimensions of learning style preferences, namely processing (active-reflective), perception (sensing-intuitive), input (visual-verbal), and understanding (sequential-global). Questionnaires were distributed using Google Forms in more than three weeks. The collected data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively through the ILS scoring sheet. The results showed that the preference for Active, Sensing, Visual, and Sequential (ASViS) learning styles was owned by pharmacy students in learning physics. ASViS is dominant at a balanced level, successively: Active (39.27%), Sensing (31.94%), Visual (35.08%) and Sequential (44.50%). The implications of this study illustrate the learning of lecturers in physics classes who should apply various methods by actively involving students through experiments, project-based learning and discussions and occasionally reflect in explaining material. Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of sound wave material through the application of guided context- and problem-based learning (GC-PBL) models. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was class XI MIPA, which consisted of two classes, namely class XI MIPA 3 as the GC-PBL class and class XI MIPA 2 as class C-PBL. The instrument used is a comprehension ability test. The results obtained showed that students in the GC-PBL class experienced an increase in the high category, while students in the C-PBL class experienced an increase in the medium category. Differences in the increase in understanding ability were then tested statistically and showed that there were significant differences. The implications and recommendations in this study are discussed.

Abstract

This study aims to visualize the temperature distribution on metal plates by solving elliptic differential equations using the help of the Microsoft Excel program. Many physics problems have limited analytic solutions so a numerical solution is needed. One of them is about the temperature distribution on a homogeneous metal plate in a steady-state conditionThe equation of heat flow in steady-state conditions is an elliptic partial differential equation (PDE). By solving this equation, we will have a numerical model of the plate that can be a mesh with a certain temperature point. Each point has been known to calculate the temperature value. The temperature value influenced. The Temperature value influenced borders on the plate and the presence of heat generation. The edge of the plate can be a constant temperature, a convection zone with the outside air, or an isolated edge. This model is then processed using Microsoft Excel with the iteration calculation until the temperature distribution value is obtained. The results obtained a graphical visualization of temperature distribution on the plate.

Abstract

The use of digital-based science learning media in elementary schools is currently not maximized and is still monotonous which makes students less interested and quickly feel bored in participating in learning. The application of interactive learning media accompanied by games (educational games) is an alternative learning that needs attention. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and effectiveness of implementing a GDevelop-based educational game in science learning on the theme of light and sound waves for grade IV in elementary schools. The research sample was 20 fourth grade students of SD Negeri Lariang Bangi. The validity of educational games is determined based on the average percentage of each aspect that contains several criteria. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of educational games can be seen from the increase in learning outcomes obtained after trials. This study uses a pre-experimental research method that uses quantitative data analysis techniques. The data collection technique uses tests, namely pretest and posttest. The results for the validity of educational game programs and materials obtained an average percentage of 86.4 and 88.36 respectively. Meanwhile, the test results showed that the average pretest and posttest scores were 37.5 and 82.5, respectively. Thus it can be concluded that the use of GDevelop-based educational game media on the science learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Lariang Bangi 1 is proven to be valid and effective. This educational game can be used as an alternative learning media to create an active, fun and interesting learning atmosphere

Abstract

Mengembangkan bahan ajar yang menarik serta interaktif sangat membantu dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa e-modul interaktif untuk materi fluida statis terhadap siswa SMA kelas XI yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efek potensial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Rowntree yang memiliki beberapa tahapan yaitu : self evaluation, expert review, one to one, small group dan field test. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunaka angket respon untuk menguji kevalidan dan kepraktisan produk. Hasil rata-rata yang diperoleh dari evaluasi ahli materi dan media (90%dan 90,55%) dan hasil pada tahap uji coba one to one dan small group (95% dan 88,5%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan e-modul yang dikembangkan sangat valid dan praktis. Untuk nilai N-Gain diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 0,64 dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

The aims of the study were: 1) to find out the description of the management of school laboratories after the application of student laboratory work (AKLAM) for the Physics Education study program at UIN Alauddin Makassar in the Gowa and Jeneponto regions; 2) To find out an overview of the use of school laboratories after the student laboratory work application (AKLAM) of the Physics Education study program at UIN Alauddin Makassar in the Gowa and Jeneponto regions; 3) To find out what contribution the school has obtained after implementing the Student Laboratory Work Application (AKLAM) for the physics education study program at UIN Alauddin Makassar in the Gowa and Jeneponto regions. This research method is Mixed Methods by combining qualitative and quantitative research. The results of the analysis obtained are: 1) post-AKLAM governance is still quite in accordance with school laboratory standards; 2) for the use of post-AKLAM laboratories, namely the use of the laboratory as a practicum place is still maintained; 3) the contributions obtained by each post-AKLAM school are almost the same including laboratory improvements and student guidance.

Abstract

This research is a Mixed Methods research with a concurrent triangulation research design, The objectives of this study are: 1) To find out the picture of the arrangement of school laboratory governance after the application of student laboratory work (AKLAM) of the Physics Education study program UIN Alauddin Makassar in the Takalar and Bulukumba areas ”; 2) To find out the description of the use of school laboratories after the application of student laboratory work (AKLAM) of the Physics Education study program UIN Alauddin Makassar in the Takalar and Bulukumba areas"; 3) To find out what contributions have been obtained by the school after the implementation of the Student Laboratory Work Application (AKLAM) of the physics education study program of UIN Alauddin Makassar in the Takalar and Bulukumba areas". Thefocus of this research is one Madrasah Aliyah and one junior high school usingquestionnaires in the form of checklist sheets and interview sheets, the results of the analysis obtained are: 1) for post-AKLAM governance there are two schools that are still sufficient in accordance with school laboratory standards and there is one school that is no longer in accordance with school laboratory standards; 2) for utilization post-AKLAM laboratory, namely the use of the laboratory as a practicum place is still maintained; 3) for the contribution obtained by each post-AKLAM school is very positive

Abstract

This article describes one of the tools to apply the laws of thermodynamics in daily life in the form of a refrigerator. This article aims to explore, understand, and understand the concept of thermodynamics in refrigerators. Thermodynamics is the field of physics that studies the relationship between heat and mechanical work, temperature and heat, and the kinematics theory of gases. Applying the basic concepts of thermodynamics to machines can support and facilitate human work. Refrigerators that operate according to the Clausius statement of fact (second law of thermodynamics). Coolers use electrical energy to transfer heat from the object being cooled to the hot outside air.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui area rawan longsor menggunakan metode resistivitas di Desa Samangki Kecamatan Simbang Kabupaten Maros. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Samangki Kecamatan Simbang Kabupaten Maros pada 5 titik di lereng jalur Maros – Bone. Pengukuran dilakukan untuk mendeteksi potensi tanah longsor menggunakan metode resistivitas konfigurasi wenner alpha. Data yang diperoleh berupa besar tegangan dan arus kemudian dianalisis melalui Software Microsoft Excel dan Res2DInv untuk mendapatkan penampang model 2-Dimensi. Hasil penampang 2-D digunakan untuk memperoleh struktur batuan di bawah permukaan bumi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya lapisan napal pasiran, gamping pasiran, dan gamping koral pada wilayah pengukuran yang merupakan bagian dari formasi tonasa batugamping. Adapun area yang rawan terjadi tanah longsor yaitu pada lintasan 2, lintasan 3, lintasan 4, dan lintasan 5, kecuali lintasan 1 yang masih didominasi oleh batuan yang memiliki nilai resistivitas tinggi dan mampu menahan area yang beresistivitas rendah di bagian atas lereng. Sedangkan ke 4 lintasan lainnya berada di area yang curam dan terindikasi adanya rekahan yang tersaturasi air, sehingga berpotensi terjadi tanah longsor pada jarak yang sama yakni 110 meter.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe the interests and learning outcomes of students who were taught using the snowball throwing learning model assisted by Newton's law physics song, to find out the differences in interest and learning outcomes taught using the snowball throwing learning model and those taught using the conventional model. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a posttest only control group design. The research population is class X students of SMAN 1 Jeneponto. The research instrument was a response questionnaire and a test of learning outcomes. Descriptive analysis of the very high category of the experimental class and the high category of the control class. Inferential analysis using the t test obtained tcount 4.68 < ttable 2.04 This shows that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted or there are differences in student learning outcomes. The implications of this study are considerations for educators in using the snowball throwing learning model assisted by physics songs, educators can use different learning models, for other researchers it can be used as a reference for further research.
