Abstract

The rapid development of residential and industrial areas in urban regions has reduced water infiltration areas and increased surface runoff due to the use of impermeable pavements. One of the effective solutions to minimize runoff is the application of permeable pavement, such as paving blocks, which can enhance water infiltration into the soil. This study aims to determine the effect of rainfall intensity, paving block geometry, and pavement slope on infiltration capacity, as well as to compare the infiltration performance between Palu sand and Samboja sand as base aggregate materials. The research was conducted by performing infiltration tests on two types of paving block geometries and two sand variations (Palu and Samboja) under different rainfall intensities and surface slopes. The infiltrated water volume was observed in each condition to analyze the influence of these parameters on the infiltration rate and capacity. The results indicate that infiltration capacity is significantly affected by rainfall intensity and paving block shape, where the surface perimeter of the paving plays an important role in enhancing infiltration. Moreover, greater pavement slopes result in higher infiltration volumes. The comparison between sand types shows that Palu sand provides higher infiltration capacity than Samboja sand, due to its larger particle size and lower clay content, allowing easier water percolation. Overall, the use of paving blocks with appropriate geometry and base materials can be an effective strategy to reduce surface runoff in urban environments.

Abstract

Several clinical characteristics are associated with a high frequency of aktivasi mutasi EGFR. The prevalence of EGFR mutation in different clinical characteristic subgroups can affect the success of EGFR-TKI therapy. This study aims to determine the relationship between risk factors and mutation EGFR in Pulmonary adenocarcinoma patients. This was a cross-sectional study. Secondary data were collected from medical records of pasien adenokarsinoma paru treated between 2020–2022. Patients were subjected to EGFR mutation testing, with total sampling and inclusion criteria based on known mutation results and complete medical records. Risk factors studied include gender, age, ethnicity, smoking status, history of chronic lung diseases, family cancer history, and carcinogenic exposure. Data analysis was carried out through tabulation, while tests for normality, chi-square, Fisher exact, T-test, or Mann-Whitney were applied, with significance set at p<0.05. The results showed that 64 patients with Pulmonary adenocarcinoma were subjected to Mutation testing of EGFR, with an age distribution ranging 20–80 years, a male dominance (64.1%), and age <60 years (65.6%). Smoking status had a significant association with mutation occurrence of EGFR. Non-smokers had a higher probability of having mutasi EGFR, while smokers tended to be in the wild type of group, with a significant difference (p=0.046). Other risk factors such as gender, age, ethnicity, COPD, TB, family history of malignancy, and carcinogenic exposure did not affect EGFR mutation. The clinical characteristics of Pulmonary adenocarcinoma patients at RSUD Ulin between 2020–2022 showed a significantly high level of EGFR mutation in smokers (OR=0.703).

Abstract

The teachings of Jesus serve as an example for the church to nurture and prepare for the future of the Church as heirs of the Kingdom of God (James 2:5). However, in reality, many parents, elders, and church members neglect the educational patterns and faith-building processes for children and youth. This study aims to assess the level of teaching of the Word of God for the TYF "Youth Light" children, their understanding of the Bible, and the relationship between the two at Bethel Tabernacle Alfa Omega Church in Sampit, Central Kalimantan. Teaching is a process of learning and teaching, where the teacher's role is to manage teaching effectively and dynamically, while the students actively engage in self-transformation. Understanding the Bible for youth is crucial to protect them from false teachings, enhance their wisdom, and enable them towards salvation. This research uses a quantitative method with descriptive and correlational approaches. The results indicate that the level of teaching the Word of God and the understanding of the Bible among youth in this church is very good, with a score of 91%. The third hypothesis test shows a strong correlation between the teaching of the Word of God by the instructor and the understanding of the Bible, with a correlation coefficient of 74.6%. Thus, the teaching of the Word of God by the instructor affects the understanding of the Bible among youth at the church.

Abstract

This research focuses on the comparative aspects between Indonesia and the Netherlands in facing the challenges of illegal acts committed by foreign nationals. A nominee agreement is an agreement that illegally sells or lends the identity of a local citizen, which can benefit both parties, especially foreign nationals who can purchase assets in the form of land in a country. Nominee agreements or borrowing names in property or land ownership in Indonesia are included as Unlawful Acts (PMH) under Article 1365 of the Civil Code. This is because such actions are considered legal smuggling that has the aim of avoiding or violating the Basic Agrarian Law, particularly the Principle of Nationality. If nominee agreements continue to be normalized, the economy and land in a country could be threatened by illegal ownership owned by foreign nationals. Using normative legal research methods, this research uses cross-country comparisons of regulations, rules, and how governments respond to the process of illegal identity lending.
