Abstract

Pembentukan warga negara yang baik dibentuk dengan pemahaman dan karakter percaya diri melalui penggunaan metode pembelajaran role playing dengan teknik storytelling. Pemilihan metode dan teknik tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh pemanfaatan jalur memori berganda, yaitu memori implisit dan eksplisit; pemrosesan informasi; serta imajinasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen murni dengan membandingkan hasil tes awal dan akhir pemahaman dan karakter percaya diri. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t (Independent Sampels t-test) diperoleh diperoleh P-Value (1-tailed) sebesar 0,3885 yang berindikasi bahwa tidak terdapat peningkatan pemahaman yang lebih baik di kelas eksperimen dibanding di kelas kontrol. Hasil uji tersebut diperkuat dengan persentase koefisien determinasi di kelas eksperimen sebesar 21,0681% dan nilai kontribusi determinasi di kelas kontrol, sebesar 67,7329%. Hal berbeda terjadi pada karakter percaya diri. Melalui uji  Mann-Whitney diperoleh P-Value (1-tailed) sebesar 0,011. Nilai tersebut berindikasi bahwa karakter percaya diri lebih meningkat di kelas eksperimen dibanding di kelas kontrol.Kata Kunci: Metode Role Playing, Teknik Storytelling, Karakter Percaya Diri.

Abstract

The Lack of students 'understanding of the benefits and usefulness of mathematics for their life has become one of the factors causing the low ability of students' mathematical connections. Alternative solutions for this problem is to use a contextual approach with talk think write strategy (TTW) in mathematics. The method used was the method of quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of  5th grader in SDN Kecamatan Pasirjambu with  sample 5th grader A-class students of SDN  Cisondari I as a control class and 5th grader B-class as  experiment class. Based on the research that has been done, there was a conclusion that : 1) contextual approach to the strategy think talk write (TTW) and conventional learning can improve the ability to connect mathematical students on material ratio, 2) contextual approach to the strategy think talk write (TTW) is better than conventional learning to improve students' mathematical connection to the material ratio, 3) most of the students in the experimental class gave a positive response to the study by using  contextual approach with talk think write strategy (TTW).

Abstract

Banyaknya konsep IPA yang harus dipahami oleh siswa dengan proses pembelajarannya yang berpusat pada guru selama ini berdampak pada hasil pembelajaran siswa yang tidak sesuai dengan yang diharapakan oleh guru. Maka diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep dalam IPA, salahsatunya adalah dengan menggunakan Learning Cycle. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran konvensional dan model Learning Cycle terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle memiliki perbedaan rata-rata dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu kelompok kontrol prates-pasca tes beracak. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu instrumen data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle maupun konvensional dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gaya magnet. Dari hasil uji perbedaan dua rata-rata nilai disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle maupun pembelajaran konvensional tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada materi gaya magnet.

Abstract

The researched was purposed to find out whether there was any significant increasing who have been taught of social science and self-regulated learning from student by using social inquiries strategy and conventional strategy, to knowing correlation between understanding of the social science and self-regulated learning of students. This type of the research  is quasi experimental with using non equivalent control group  design. The population is all of student of 5th grade of elementary school in Pamulihan District. The results of data analysis showed that no significant a difference between experimental class or control, value of P-value (2-tailed) for amount 0,096 ≥ 0,05 impact on  H0  for received and H1 for rejected. And there is no difference between learning using social inquiries strategy and conventional strategy to improving self regulated learning of the students to show 0,079 ≥ 0,05 impact on  H0  for received and H1 for rejected. There is no related to understanding between a social science with self regulated learning students is value of P-value (2-tailed) for amount 0,580 ≥ 0,05, so that the value H0 for received and  H1 for rejected.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Sampel penelitian adalah SDN Palasah sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Mandalaherang I sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0.05. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Terdapat hubungan positif antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan kepercayaan diri siswa. Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran CTL. Aktivitas siswa dan kinerja guru yang optimal menjadi faktor pendukung dalam penelitian. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Kepercayaan Diri.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning to Improve Science Literacy on Food Relation with Health. Science literacy is ability to review a problem or phenomenon on the point of science view. Science literacy can be enhanced trough the problem-solving process in science learning. Teacher roles as the information center, transforms into facilitator, motivator and creator to help construct student knowledge. Problem based learning process allows students to be actively involved because  given the opportunity to solve a problem related to an event.. Problem-based learning affects both the science literacy students of class V on the relationship of food to health. This is evidenced by the research using pre-experiment method with pretest-postest one group design which shows that problem-based learning can significantly increase students literacy ability in high, medium and low group. Based on the results of the study problem-based learning can be used as a solution to improve literacy skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

Berdasarkan paparan data awal yang diperoleh kelas IV-A SDN Pasanggrahan I mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan sesuatu berdasarkan petunjuk pemakaian masih sedikit siswa yang mencapai KKM. Penelitian mengacu pada desain Spiral Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Dalam penelitian iniuntuk kinerja guru siklus I mencapai 83% dari semua aspek yang dinilai, siklus II mencapai 94,4%, siklus III mencapai 100%. Untuk aktivitas siswa dari 31 siswa yang mendapat kriteria baik sekali 7 siswa (23%), siklus II 15 siswa (49%0), siklus III 27 siswa (87%). Untuk hasil belajar siswa data awal dari 31 siswa hanya 8 siswa ( 27%) yang mencapai KKM 73, siklus I ada 17 siswa ( 49%), siklus II ada 22 siswa (71%), dan siklus III ada 29 siswa (94%) melebihi target penelitian. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan metode Explicit Instruction dan media buku bergambar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar.Kata kunci: Metode Explicit Instruction dan Media Buku Bergambar MeningkatkanMembaca Petunjuk  Pemakaian

Abstract

This research aims to compare problem-based learning approach and guided inquiry approach that has a greater influence on mathematics communication ability and students’ learning motivation. This research used quasi experimental research method with the nonequivqlent control group design. The population of this research is all fourth grade students in the elementary school of Lelea subdistrict who use school based curriculum (KTSP). The sample in this research is taken fourth grade students of SDN Tugu II and fourth grade students of SDN Pengauban I.  The instrument used in this research is test of mathematics communication ability and attitude scale test of learning motivation,  teacher performance observation and students’ activity and interview. Based on the value of significance and the mean of final value, it is concluded that the PBL has a better effect than the guided inquiry approach to students' mathematics communication ability. However the students of PBL class, guided inquiry students have equal learning motivation in mathematics.Therefore, there is no positive and significant correlation between mathematics communication ability with students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improved understanding and connection mathematical ability by applying problem-based learning approached and conventional learning, the differents of improved about both of them, the connection between understanding ability and connection ability also students response after given the treatment used  problem-based learning approached. Quasi-experiments method with control teams design wasn’t equivalent to used. The instrumen which used pretest and posttest questions, observation paper both teacher performance and students activity, also interview students guided. Based on the purpose of the research, the result student’s understanding and connection mathematical ability was improved, both at class experiment and control class. But, the result not refered that learning used by problem-based learning approached was better than conventional learning.  A lot of factor which can make it happen. But, students responed was good after the class meeting used problem-based learning approached. Based on signification degree 0,05, the result showed that understanding and connection mathematical ability, both of them has positive connection.
