Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes) Lintang Songo is a business-based boarding school with 27 business units. Those business units include agriculture, plantations, fisheries, and animal husbandry. Alas, the most common problems in business management are irregular fish feeding, unchecked water quality leading to many fish growing slowly or dying, and the high use of PLN electricity for business unit operations. The aim of the Community Service Program (PKM) was to design automatic tools supported by New Renewable Energy (EBT) technology based on the Internet of Things (IoT) in the form of a Solar Home System. Automatic feeding devices and pond water quality sensors were targeted to overcome the aforementioned issues. The method used in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) was research and development (RD) through the design of the Solar Home System, automatic feeding devices, and pond water quality sensors. After testing the fish feed tools, the condition of the fish improved, and no fish died. Monitoring the pH of pond water shows a pH value of 6.5 – 7 so that it can be categorized as normal with a stable water circulation system. Testing of the solar home system showed the effectiveness of using solar panels at position 120 WP in sunny conditions, which indicates that the utilization of supporting equipment for smart farming at the Lintang Songo Islamic Boarding School had been successful.

Thalassemia is a disorder of hemoglobin synthesis with clinical manifestations of severe anemia. With a total of 35 sufferers in North Lampung, thalassemia causes complex health problems, especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic, including 1. The limited blood supply for transfusions due to decreased donors; 2. The problem of malnutrition leading to reduced immunity; 3. Psychological and school problems; 4. Not all thalassemia children in North Lampung had Hb-analysis as a diagnostic procedure; and 5. Low consumption of iron chelation drugs to prevent hemosiderosis. The community service aims to improve the quality of life for thalassemia children in North Lampung during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Community service activities used a process approach (preparation, implementation, evaluation) involving several professions and related stakeholders (interprofessional collaboration). The target of the activities was thalassemia children and families who are members of the Association of Parents with Thalassemia (POPTI) North Lampung, with a total of 35 people. Data were analyzed with proportional descriptive analysis. The community service activities were 1. Formation of a Thalassemia Care Community consisting of 75 permanent blood donor volunteers; 2. Health education about the nutritional needs of thalassemia children and provision of nutrition packages to 33 people (94.28%); 3. Counseling on psychosocial problems and learning disorders in schools; 4. Facilitating story books in the treatment room of HM Mayjend Ryacudu Hospital; 5. Laboratory examination of Hb analysis and ferritin levels and socialization of the management of iron chelation treatment to 23 people (65.71%) of thalassemia children and their families. This Community Service activity involved farmer groups and the Family Welfare Development Organization (PKK) in Sungai Rasau Village. There is plenty of potential for the production of coconut plantations in the village, but the business of differentiating coconut into cooking oil is of little interest to the community. Low interest is due to relatively limited knowledge and understanding of the economic potential of cooking oil products, especially market uptake. Efforts can be made to increase the added value of cooking oil products. This program aimed to increase the added value of cooking oil products to improve market uptake. Accordingly, the direct learning method was used in this service program, and its activities included training and mentoring. The results of the service program showed that the program that had been implemented generated new enthusiasm for Farmer Groups and PKK. Also, the trademark “MIKOM” was used as branding for coconut cooking oil products from Sungai Rasau Village, accompanied by an attractive offer sentence as a form of online promotion of traditional coconut cooking oil products. Differences in methods and production costs incurred as well as adjustments to the latest costs due to the increase in fuel, became an obstacle for training participants to calculate product selling prices. The participants poorly understood the information technology training because the village lacked sufficient Internet access. Farmer groups carried out the marketing simulation for coconut cooking oil as producers of coconut cooking oil, while the PKK acted as marketing field coordinator.

SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Turi in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, received photovoltaic system assistance from a government grant. Photovoltaic is a technology that converts solar energy into electrical energy. This equipment is used as a backup when the power is off. However, the partners did not understand how to maintain the photovoltaic system. The proposed solution was to conduct training on photovoltaic system maintenance. This activity aimed to provide knowledge for those in charge of operations on photovoltaic system maintenance methods. The applied method was tutorial/training and practice. The presented materials were photovoltaic technology, installation, and maintenance. The evaluation was to compare test results before and after training. The evaluation showed that this training increased participants' knowledge about photovoltaic systems by 25.29%. This training can be further developed in a community environment by adding photovoltaic installations in the vicinity. Communities should be able to carry out maintenance independently so that the performance of the photovoltaic system and the durability of its components are optimal.

Despite the limited number of students, several teaching and learning activities have been conducted online and face-to-face during the pandemic. Accordingly, it becomes a challenge for elementary school teachers in their English teaching practice as students are more focused on mastering vocabulary. Therefore, teachers should create a pleasant and joyful classroom to ensure students learn English effectively. According to that background, English teaching community service programs should benefit elementary schools. This program was to help create a fun classroom and make the learning process more effective by using songs as the vocabulary teaching method. Muhammadiyah Senggotan Elementary School was involved since it claimed English as its concerned subject to attract prospective students. Therefore, there was a great challenge to provide a variety of teaching methods while doing online and face-to-face learning. This program was conducted by teaching third-grade students during the pandemic using face-to-face meetings. Four stages were applied in this program: need analysis, planning, monitoring, and evaluation. The pre-test and post-test results showed a significant difference in students' vocabulary level mastery before and after applying songs in the English teaching and learning process. Hence, this program's sustainability is maintained by increasing the variety of teaching methods through different activities.

The Covid-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) pandemic has had some effect on the development of children's education because they have to learn independently online. Online learning is a big challenge for schools, teachers, and parents because they are required to be able to manage and design learning media to achieve learning goals and prevent student boredom during online learning. This article describes one of the learning media for elementary school students by making animated videos that can be easily understood. The goal was to provide learning methods to attract students' interest in online learning during the pandemic. This learning model emphasized visualization and summary explanation of the material. Community service partners, in this case, are teachers at SD Sumberwindu I, Tanjung Anom District, Nganjuk Regency, and 5th-grade students. Activities are carried out by identifying school problems and training in making animated videos. While using the animated video, the learning purpose will be easy to achieve. This also increases the motivation of the students to be more active in learning by their shelf and seeking new knowledge related to the video. In this community service, we introduced learning materials in the form of animated videos and uploaded them to a YouTube channel. Those videos can be accessed either by teachers or students. This learning model was well-received and well-appreciated by the teachers and students.

The demand for traditional medicine increased during the pandemic, including instant herbal medicine for children. Children who consume herbal medicine are more interested in colorful products according to the advertised taste, while adult consumers are more interested in herbal compositions that are slightly sweeter (less sugar). This service aims to provide alternative natural dyes and non-sugar fillers for instant herbal products. Accordingly, the service was carried out in two stages. The service program was carried out using the tutorial method and focus group discussions (FGD). Tutorials were carried out online with natural materials as a source of alternative natural dyes and innovations in the use of non-sugar fillers. Group discussions focused on innovations in using non-sugar fillers with low production costs. The results showed that Rosella flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) are recommended as natural dyes for instant herbal medicine for children for red, yellow, and purple colors, while Suji leaves (Dracaena Angustifolia) for green colors. Additionally, Maltodextrin Fluidized Bed Dryer (FBD) ) is recommended as a non-sugar filler.
