Abstract

This study reveals and analyzes in more depth and reveals various problems of teacher pedagogical competence in elementary schools in implementing learning and solving existing problems and alternative solutions that can be done to overcome the problems of teacher pedagogical competence, especially in elementary schools. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This research is aqualitative (naturalistic) research with a field research type. Based on the previous description, it can be concluded that 1) Problems of teacher pedagogical competence in learning include; a) media to be used in the learning process, b) minimal emotional stability and c) lack of teacher interest in research (sense academic research). 2) Implementation of the application of elementary school teacher pedagogical competence in implementing learning assessments that meet the criteria a) application of student characteristic assessments; (b) application of pedagogy based on mastery of learning theory and learning principles; (c) application of curriculum-based pedagogy; (d) application of pedagogy based on the implementation of learning; (e) application of pedagogy based on utilizing information and communication technology; (f) application of pedagogy based on effective, empathetic, and polite communication; (g) application of pedagogy based on assessment and evaluation of learning processes and outcomes; and (h) application of pedagogy based on utilization of assessment and evaluation results. 3) The impact of elementary school teachers' pedagogical competence in implementing learning assessment in elementary schools is that it can provide an overview of pedagogical competence, especially learning assessment, which must be possessed by teachers in order to achieve success in learning.

Abstract

This research investigates the Dick and Carey model and its application in science using a literature review methodology. The Dick and Carey model is a systematic framework comprising ten steps for designing, developing, and evaluating educational programs. This literature review gathers and examines a range of sources from relevant journals, books, and articles. The findings indicate that this model effectively enhances student engagement, understanding of concepts, and learning outcomes in science. Implementing the Dick and Carey model assists educators in designing structured lessons that prioritize educational objectives. Moreover, this model facilitates the creation of teaching materials tailored to student needs and curricular requirements. The research concludes that the Dick and Carey model can be effectively implemented in science education, positively impacting the quality of learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to parse and understand the construct of student involvement in the learning process in the classroom so that it can improve the quality of education. Definitions, dimensions, measurements, and factors that can support engagement are discussed in this study. Involvement is an important issue that cannot be ignored because of the large influence it has on increasing student achievement and self-development. Engaged students have a certain level of participation and persistence in the learning process, exert effort in class assignments, and show varying levels of interest, motivation, and enjoyment for learning (Fredricks et al., 2004). On the other hand, a disengaged learner is a learner who is bored and anxious or sometimes annoyed to participate in class and performs poorly in various subjects. The method used is qualitative research with descriptive analysis of social phenomena and literature review as reference material for this writing. The results of this research are that student involvement is the time, energy and all action efforts devoted by students in the learning process in class for the purpose of self-development and mastery of knowledge. Engagement has 3 dimensions, namely behavioral, emotional and cognitive. Factors that influence student engagement in class such as teacher support, motivation, and school climate have been widely researched and are recognized as having a significant influence on student engagement in class. The measurement of the student engagement scale is presented for further research material in quantitative form.

Abstract

The problem often faced by final semester students is about uncertain employment, so they experience anxiety when they become alumni. National Statistics Agency (BPS) data on open unemployment states that in 2023 there will be around 787,973 graduates from universities who are not working. In addition to the lack of jobs for new graduates. Most of the alumni have not prepared themselves well for a career. This is the basis for the need to conduct research on the influence of locus of control on the career readiness of final semester undergraduate students at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. The purpose is to find out the psychological condition of students before graduating from college. The research participants totalled 222 final semester students who were and had been working on their thesis. The results obtained show that there is an influence of internal locus of control on career readiness with a significant value of 0.000. While the external locus of control has no effect because the significant value obtained is 0.321. The conclusion is that the psychological condition of internal locus of control affects the career preparation of final semester students

Abstract

This research aims to find out how learning motivation and discipline influence student learning achievement in science learning content at SD Negeri 1 Tigawasa. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The design used in this research is a survey research design. The population of this research is all students at SD Negeri 1 Tigawasa, totaling 156 students. The sampling method used in this research was purposive sampling. The subjects of this research were students in grades IV, V and VI at SD Negeri 1 Tigawasa, totaling 76 students. This research was conducted by distributing linker-sized questionnaires. This research uses causal quantitative data, namely data that can be calculated or data in the form of numbers. The analysis technique in this research is multiple linear regression analysis with data processing using SPSS. The results of the coefficient of determination test with an R2 value of 0.705, this proves that learning motivation and discipline influence student learning achievement by 70.5% and 29.5% are influenced by other variables. Based on the t-test, the results of the first hypothesis have a probability value of 0.000 < 0.05, proving that learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement, while the second hypothesis has a probability value of 0.004 < 0.05 so that discipline has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement, and for The third hypothesis has a probability value of 0.000 > 0.05, this proves that learning motivation and discipline have a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. Future researchers are advised to develop the research model by adding intervening or moderating variables to create a more complex research model and provide more comprehensive results.

Abstract

Problem solving plays a very important role in the learning and solving process, because later students will gain experience using the knowledge and skills they already have to apply in the process of problem solving activities that are not routine in nature. However, in reality students found difficulties in problem solving abilities in natural appearance material. Thus, the ability to solve problems with natural appearance material in the learning process in the classroom requires interactive media. This research aims to find the effect of using interactive media based on augmented reality on problem solving abilities in natural appearance material in class IV elementary schools. The method used in this research is quantitative with a Quasi Experimental type of research with the aim that the experimental group and control group are not chosen randomly. The samples used were students in class IV of elementary school Neglasari 01 and class IV of elementary school Cinunuk 03. The results of the research showed that there was an influence of the use of interactive media based on augmented reality on problem solving abilities in natural appearance material in class IV of elementary schools. Based on the results of data processing, the average pretest result in the experimental class was (18,20), while the posttest result in the experimental class was (21,88). There was a significant increase in the average pretest and posttest scores. The average pretest score for the control class was (15,88), while the posttest result for the control class was (19,96). The intervention or treatment given in the experimental class has a more significant impact on increasing students' grades.

Abstract

Strategic transformation usually involves comprehensive changes in the way an organization operates, with a focus on larger long-term goals. Therefore, it requires in-depth research and studies to determine whether the transformation effectively contributes to the development of students' academic quality. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The method in data analysis is carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The objectives to be achieved in this research include: (1) To understand and analyze how the transformation of strategies implemented by the Mudir (Dormitory Head) in fostering the academic quality of KIP-Kuliah students living in the dormitory; (2) To understand and analyze the impact of the strategy transformation on the academic quality development of KIP-Kuliah students in the dormitory. From this research, it was found that: (1) The transformation of strategies implemented by the Mudir in academic quality development includes: a) Improvement of learning quality by utilizing technological advancements, halaqah ta’lim, and the use of learning applications, b) Improvement of community service quality, c) Improvement of teacher quality, d) Improvement of services and facilities. (2) The transformation of these strategies has a positive impact on students' academic achievements, as evidenced by the numerous awards won in various competitions and an average GPA above 3. 25

Abstract

Esensialisme adalah aliran filsafat. Para tokoh Esensialisme berpendapat bahwa pandangan-pandangan yang mudah berubah, tidak mempunyai arah dan ketidakpastian, mudah goyah muncul karena pendidikan bertumpu pada landasan pandangan-pandangan yang fleksibel dalam segala bentuknya. Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian pendekatan kepustakaan yakni penelitian yang menggunakan analisis data berdasarkan dokumen teks, bahan Pustaka berupa catatan terbitan, buku, jurnal, surat kabar, dan artikel.Pandangan Esensialisme mengenai pembelajaran adalah bahwa Pembelajaran dimulai dari jiwa manusia, kemudian jiwa menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungannya kemudian ditambah dan dikurangi pada generasi berikutnya. Keuntungan dari Esensialisme adalah membantu memulihkan pokok bahasan dan mengakuui perubahan dalam masyarakat. Sedangkan kelemahan aliran esensialisme adalah orientasinya yang terikat pada tradisi, tidak adanya kesatuan pemikiran diantara para tokoh aliran ini, dan terhambatnya kreativitas dikalangan siswa.

Abstract

A learning process that is monotonous and always centered on the teacher can cause students' low understanding of concepts. This can be proven by the reality found at SD 4 Honggosoco. Based on the initial concept understanding test carried out by 20 class V students, it was found that all students' scores were still below the KKTP with an average class score of 20.05. The aim of this research is to find out whether the Discovery Learning model assisted by Mibolokus media has an effect on the results of students' understanding of concepts at SD 4 Honggosoco in science material. This research uses a quantitative type of research. The research design used was a pre-experiment design with one group pretest posttest type. The subjects of this research were all fifth-grade students at SD 4 Honggosoco with a sampling technique using nonprobability sampling, purposive sampling type. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation, tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are Normality Test, Paired Sample T-Test and N-Gain Test. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test show a significance of 0.000, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meanwhile, the N-Gain Test results were 75.4%, which means that increasing students' understanding of concepts can be categorized as quite effective. The conclusions from this research are: (1) There is a significant difference in the average score in the results of students' conceptual understanding before and after being treated in the form of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Mibolokus media. (2) there is an increase in the results of students' understanding of concepts using the Discovery Learning model assisted by Mibolokus media in the Class V Social Sciences Subject Chapter 1 Properties of Light and Sound.

Abstract

The study seeks to assess the impact of project-based learning on the ability of Pre-Service Elementary School Teachers (PGSD) at Muhammadiyah University of Sorong to design simple learning media. A pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, and the results showed a significant improvement in students' cognitive abilities after participating in project-based learning. Additionally, psychomotor assessments demonstrated highly commendable outcomes, with average scores surpassing the good criteria. Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test confirmed a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). These findings imply that project-based learning is an effective pedagogical approach for developing students' competencies in designing simple learning media, especially in regions with limited educational resources like Papua.
