Abstract

Child sexual violence is an increasingly disturbing crime issue and a social emergency in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the legal assistance process for child victims of sexual violence in Palangka Raya City. Using normative legal research methods with a statutory and conceptual approach, this study examines the legal framework for child protection and compares it with field practices. Data was collected through a literature review of various documents, laws, and relevant literature. The results indicate that the legal assistance mechanism for child victims of sexual violence in Palangka Raya City, through Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2021, has demonstrated structured and comprehensive progress, ranging from assessment and cross-agency coordination to trial assistance and post-trial rehabilitation. However, its effectiveness still faces challenges, including limited human resources, suboptimal coordination, and social stigma. Then, according to the perspective of Islamic law, it is necessary to strengthen the maqashid al-syari'ah (hifz an-nafs and hifz al-'irdh) because child sexual violence is a serious crime that must be dealt with firmly and rehabilitated, so that this regulation is in line with the principles of Islamic justice in protecting children as a mandate from Allah SWT.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the understanding of Islamic law regarding polygamy from a gender perspective, focusing on the comparison between classical jurisprudence (fiqh) teachings and contemporary interpretations. Polygamy is a complex issue in Islamic law, often sparking debates about gender justice, women's rights, and its relevance in modern social contexts. The research employs a qualitative approach with a critical analysis of classical fiqh texts and contemporary scholars' views. The findings reveal that classical fiqh teachings tend to position women in subordinate roles, emphasizing obedience to husbands. However, contemporary perspectives influenced by gender equality principles and maqasid al-shariah offer new insights that prioritize justice and the protection of women's rights. The study concludes that a gender-based approach can provide more relevant and equitable interpretations of Islamic law on polygamy for modern societies. It also identifies challenges in integrating gender equality principles into Islamic legal understanding, particularly amidst cultural resistance and conservative interpretations.

Abstract

Motivation is a strong desire that arises within a person. In Herzberg's motivation theory, there are two factors: motivational factors and maintenance factors (hygiene factors). Motivation factors consist of job satisfaction, appreciation, responsibility, achievement, and job satisfaction. Meanwhile, maintenance factors include policies and administration, supervision, relationships with coworkers, working conditions, and salary or benefits. Motivation factors play a role in fostering work enthusiasm among educators. In addition, good relationships with coworkers and good working conditions also affect work performance. This study aims to identify the extent to which motivation can influence the work performance of educators at MIN 2 Bandung City when reviewed using Herzberg's motivation theory. The method used in this study was qualitative, with observations at the target madrasah or school, interviews with educators, and documentation in the form of images as additional data. The results revealed that the educators' motivation was built from within each individual. While some of Herzberg's maintenance factors are considered influential, many educators at MIN 2 Bandung City have their own unique motivations to become educators for the younger generation.

Abstract

This article is focused on describing the concept of competency-based Islamic religious education curriculum planning in schools and madrasas. This competency curriculum planning discussion aims to direct students towards the expected behavioral changes. The planning process involves determining goals and making decisions that will be realized in the form of activities or actions that focus on the future. This study uses a literature study design with a philosophical approach. The data analysis technique used is analytical technique, namely drawing conclusions about objects, both from thoughts, systematic images and factual in nature. The results of this study indicate that competency-based curriculum planning for Islamic Education (PAI) focuses on achieving students' competencies comprehensively, encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This curriculum not only emphasizes mastery of subject matter but also fosters tangible behavioral changes and the development of relevant life skills. The expected competencies include critical thinking skills, social abilities, and the internalization of spiritual and moral values. Moreover, competency-based curriculum planning is characterized by clear concepts, a holistic approach, and a systematic framework. Learning objectives are formulated as observable and measurable behaviors, enabling accurate evaluation of educational outcomes. This study also highlights the importance of involving all components of the learning process, including educators, students, materials, methods, evaluations, institutional managers, and other educational resources. Therefore, competency-based curriculum design provides clear direction for PAI learning, ensuring the achievement of educational goals that support the development of students’ character as individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and morally upright.

Abstract

Arabic language learning at various levels of education plays a strategic role in developing students' competencies, both as a formal subject and as a medium to understand religious literature and Arab culture. However, Arabic language teaching still faces significant challenges, particularly in the development of relevant, flexible, and student-centered teaching materials. Ideal teaching materials should be systematically designed, engaging, and oriented toward achieving the desired competencies. This study aims to analyze the concepts and principles of effective Arabic teaching material development.  The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach, referring to theories of education, language, and teaching material development. The analysis results show that the development of teaching materials must consider principles of relevance to the curriculum, effectiveness, efficiency, and adaptability to student needs. Additionally, theoretical approaches such as behaviorism, constructivism, and communicative methods provide a solid foundation for creating teaching materials that support active and participatory learning processes.  The integration of technology in teaching materials, such as the use of interactive and audiovisual media, is also an essential element for increasing students' interest and motivation. With innovative and contextual teaching materials, Arabic language learning is expected to enhance students' competence in active and functional communication while supporting the achievement of learning objectives efficiently and effectively
