The research is qualitative research. The research was conducted at Inpres Tombolo Elementary School in Tombolopao Gowa. There were 12 informants in this research, which consist of the principal, 5 classroom teachers, 1 librarian, and 5 student trustees as representatives of each grade level. Data were collected through direct observation in the Education Unit, in-depth interviews with informants and documentation, and administrative completeness of the implementation of the School Literacy Program. The results indicate that the School Literacy Program at Inpres Tombolo Elementary School had been implemented well starting from the stages of adaptation, development, and learning by utilizing the classroom reading corner. In general, two reading strategies are applied in this research, namely silent and loud. The implementation of the School Literacy Program runs consistently in several classes during the learning from home because of the Covid-19 pandemic by utilizing digital platforms. Sources of reading materials only use the classroom reading corner and school library in the implementation of the School Literacy Program. Supporting factor of School Literacy Program implementation is frequently seen in the supporting facilities and infrastructure and variative reading materials. Conversely, the inhibiting factor can be overcome by various tricks as seen in the Principal’s Policy.

Abstract

This paper discusses in detail the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the application of the guided inquiry method for undergraduate nursing students at the Universitas Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto. The lecturer solely serves as a facilitator through the guided inquiry method, which enables students to actively participate in learning activities. Learning materials for making proposals for community services, implementing community services, and writing articles about community services are the implementation of the guided inquiry method. The research design used is qualitative, which obtains descriptive information through interviews, observations of people's behavior, or written or spoken statements from participants. Observation, interviews, and documentation are data collection. Data analysis is summarized as (1) data compression in this activity, data are chosen based on the level of relevance and the relationship to data groupings. In addition, data are collected into one unit, and codes are created, (2) presenting by assembling related data, and (3) making conclusions to understand the significance of the sporadic symptoms. The use of the guided inquiry method in language acquisition can be divided into three categories based on the findings and discussion; planning, implementing and evaluating the application of the guided inquiry method. The guided inquiry approach is put into the students’ learning experience of the lecturer planning section. Students use the guided inquiry approach in the application, starting with problem-solving, hypothesis-making, evidence-gathering, hypothesis-testing, and conclusion-drawing. Subsequently, the researcher made an evaluation criterion to test students' proficiency through the guided inquiry method. When the guided inquiry approach is used, students get learning opportunities, especially ones that help them develop their speaking and writing skills, which are two forms of productive language. The students' capacity to conduct teaching at school and produce articles for community service serves as evidence regarding this.

Abstract

The implementation of project-based learning in social sciences learning subjects contains learning material regarding the types of social institutions, religion, economics, and politics. The purpose of this paper is to describe the evaluation of project-based learning in social science learning subjects in elementary schools. The method used is a literature review with a meta-analysis of ten national-indexed journal review results based on the evaluation of project-based learning on learning subjects in elementary schools. The research results were grouped and analyzed based on the evaluation of project-based learning in social sciences learning subjects in elementary schools. The analysis results of a number of research indicate that there are (a) inadequacies of teacher skills in the use of learning models that encourage students in the learning process, (b) inadequate learning media used in social sciences learning subjects, (c) still using conventional teaching method in teaching and learning process so that students do not achieve the results from learning, and (d) insufficient teacher’s competence in the implementation of project-based learning in social sciences learning subjects in elementary schools. Through the four results of the evaluation of social sciences learning subjects in elementary schools, Students’ independence and discipline can increase so that they can communicate and achieve learning objectives.

Abstract

This paper describes the evaluation program approach in education. This approach is carried out to evaluate the student’s achievement level in learning. This activity needs to be conducted to help teachers thoroughly so that inputs and processes in learning can be contained in the learning process. The use of method is applied based on a literature review through meta-analysis derived from the results of reviewing journals regarding the implementation of the evaluation program approach in learning that has the same topic in this paper, analyzed, and compared to the review results, which are described in good language. The research result indicates eight approach models in the evaluation of educational programs, which are the CIPP model, Provus model, Stake model, Kirkpatrick model, Brinkerhoff model, Congruence model, Illuminative model, and Logical model. The CIPP model is an approach that teachers often use because it includes context, input, process, and outcome evaluation. The results of applying this approach model can be carried out thoroughly so that it can be applied to every learning subject.

Abstract

The current development makes children no longer unfamiliar with gadgets. Gadget sophistication causes children to prefer to use it frequently, hence it inflicts an addiction effect. The covid-19 pandemic makes children tend to spend their time only using gadgets. This paper describes the effect of the intensity of applying gadgets during the covid-19 pandemic on the emotional intelligence of early childhood. This paper is a quantitative correlation research with a statistical test using Chi Schi-Square. The results indicate that the intensity of gadget use at TK Tembilahan is in the high category with a high percentage of 41%, medium percentage of 36%, and low percentage of 23%, and children's emotional intelligence is in the medium category with an empirical score of 19.10. It implies that there is a significant correlation between the significant intensity of gadget use during the covid-19 pandemic and the emotional intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten in Tembilahan.

Abstract

The learning process should be an activity for students to build their understanding. Even so, there are still many students who look bored and lack enthusiasm. An attempt that needs to do by the teacher is to give rewards and icebreakers. This paper discusses the influence of giving rewards and icebreakers on the learning process at SDN 04 Karangtengah in Cibadak Sukabumi. This paper used qualitative research with teachers and fourth-grade students as the research subjects. Data collection was carried out through observation and interview techniques with research instruments in the form of observation and interview sheets. The results indicate that giving rewards and icebreakers had a significant influence on the learning process for four-grade students at SDN 04 Karangtengah. Thus, giving rewards and icebreakers are able to arouse students’ learning motivation and it also has an impact on students’ cognitive learning outcomes. Giving rewards and icebreakers can produce students’ enthusiasm for learning.
