Abstract

This research aims to analyze the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of the guidance and counseling program at the high school level in the Bireuen Regency. A qualitative research design using a case study approach was conducted at two high schools in Bireuen Regency: SMA Negeri 1 Kuala and SMA Negeri 1 Jeunieb. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation, and the data were processed using analysis techniques to reduce, present, and verify the information. The findings indicate that the planning of the guidance and counseling program has been effectively carried out, with needs assessments conducted and transformed into an annual action plan aimed at enhancing the character profile of Pancasila students. The organization of the program has also been smooth, with school leadership ensuring the necessary resources and delegating the responsibility of counseling guidance to teachers, thus preparing for potential shortages of the dedicated counseling staff. Despite this, the implementation of the program is still ongoing, with gaps in service coverage. The program has four main components: basic services, specialization and individual planning services, responsive services, and system support, all designed to support students' optimal development and alignment with the Pancasila student profile. The evaluation of the program is still in progress but has not yet reached its full potential. Evaluation activities include setting performance standards, assessing outcomes, and implementing corrective actions. In conclusion, while the guidance and counseling program at the high school level in Bireuen Regency is progressing positively, further improvements are needed, particularly in expanding services and fully implementing evaluation measures. The implications of this research highlight the need for further professional development for counseling teachers, better resource allocation, and the expansion of the evaluation process to ensure the program's continued success and alignment with educational goals.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) on elementary students' reading perception at a private school in Cambodia. IBL is a student-centered instructional strategy that fosters active participation, curiosity, and critical thinking through exploration and discovery. This research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data from a questionnaire distributed to 50 students (selected from a population of 150) and qualitative data to provide deeper insights into students' attitudes and engagement with reading activities. Descriptive statistics were analyzed using SPSS 20.0. The findings reveal that the use of IBL positively impacts students' reading perception by enhancing motivation, comprehension, and active involvement in learning tasks. Students reported greater interest in reading when lessons were inquiry-driven, interactive, and connected to real-world contexts. Additionally, the study underscores the important role of teachers and school leaders in implementing effective IBL strategies. By promoting student autonomy and a sense of ownership in the learning process, IBL can improve literacy outcomes and foster lifelong reading habits. These results suggest that incorporating IBL into primary education, especially in language instruction, can significantly enrich the learning experience and contribute to more meaningful and student-centered education.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate educators' and students' planning in the Integrated Education System (SPT) program in the field of tahfizh at the junior high school (SMP) level in Aceh Besar Regency. The evaluation used a quantitative approach involving 12 educators and 361 students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire that had undergone content validation (Aiken's) and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha). The educators' evaluation results at the planning stage averaged 4.44, with a "Very Good" rating, and the students' evaluation results averaged 3.81, with a "Good" rating. Based on the results of this planning evaluation, the recommendations that can be given are that educators can use a variety of methods in tahfizh learning, need to conduct initial diagnostic tests to determine the learning styles and methods that are suitable for students, evaluate student responses to the learning methods used, and collaborate in the preparation of teaching modules that integrate several learning methods in accordance with the characteristics of the students. These findings emphasize the importance of adjusting learning strategies and improving planning quality to better align with student needs, enabling the objectives of the tahfizh program to be achieved optimally.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of the pedagogical Deep Learning (DL) approach, specifically the Meaningful, Mindful, and Joyful (MMJ) framework, within the traditional educational system of Indonesian pesantren. The aim is to analyze the compatibility, challenges, and operationalization of DL to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students for the demands of the digital era. A qualitative case study approach was employed at pesantren Darunnajah in Bogor, involving in-depth interviews with 12 participants (3 teachers, 6 students, and 3 administrators), observations, and document analysis. The findings highlight a strong theoretical alignment between DL and pesantren's core educational values, such as Fahm (deep comprehension), Ijtihad (critical reasoning), and Adab (moral development). Empirically, teachers reported improved student engagement and reflective learning practices, with one educator noting, "The MMJ framework helps students connect religious lessons to their daily lives, making learning more relevant." However, the study identifies key challenges, including infrastructure gaps, diverse levels of digital literacy, and the need to balance digital innovation with the preservation of moral guidance. Strategies such as blended learning models and focused teacher training are recommended. The integration of DL within pesantren represents a strategic pedagogical evolution, empowering students to develop both religious and modern competencies. Future research should focus on the longitudinal impacts of DL on student outcomes.

Abstract

This scientific article discusses madrasah management's responsiveness to globalisation through the implementation of digital-based learning at MTsN 1 Tulungagung. The purpose of this study is to analyse the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes in improving the quality of learning, especially digital-based learning. This study employs a qualitative approach, using data collection methods including interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analysed through condensation, presentation, and verification. Data validity was ensured through tests of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study show that planning includes alignment with the madrasah's vision, mission, and objectives, supported by coordination meetings, the preparation of facilities and infrastructure, improvements in teacher competence, and socialisation with parents and prospective students. The implementation of digital learning was successful due to the synergy between available facilities and infrastructure and the presence of competent, well-qualified human resources. Evaluations were conducted incidentally and periodically at the end of the semester through reflection and Computer-Assisted Test (CAT)-based examinations. There were obstacles to implementing digital-based learning, namely, limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as misconceptions about it. The study concluded that strategic management can enhance the quality of digital learning, offering essential implications for educational institutions as they adapt to technological advances.

Abstract

In the modern digital world, TikTok has proved to be a formidable medium that not just entertains but also influences culture, perceptions of love, and romantic relationships. One of the main trends is the rise of standardized partners, in which ideas of companionship are increasingly built and judged through repetitive visual conventions, aesthetic criteria, and performance displays circulating on the site. This trend tends to simplify the meaning of love into surface-level terms that emphasize physical appearance, consumer symbols, and viral trends at the expense of the deeper aspects of affection, ethical commitment, and religious compatibility. This reductionism has profound consequences for youth, as it may create unattainable expectations, promote instability, and legitimize a culture of comparison that invalidates the authenticity of emotions. From the perspective of Islamic legal commentary, such developments call for serious thought. Islamic legal classics, such as the Qur'an and Prophetic traditions, prioritize moral excellence, religious piety, compatibility, and mutual respect as the core pillars for choosing a partner and marital stability. Prioritizing the aims of online aesthetics over such timeless values constitutes a marked shift away from Islamic values that aim to conserve human dignity and to advocate for a healthy family life that lasts. Through a qualitative and normative legal analysis, this paper explores the discord between TikTok-driven criteria for partner selection and the Islamic legal framework's principles of morality, religiousness, compatibility, and mutual respect. This study employs a normative qualitative (library) research approach under Islamic law and analyzes descriptively. The study finds that although TikTok facilitates a remaking of how people imagine love, it paradoxically renders the institution of marriage a trivial matter by turning the chosen ones into image commodities for consumption. Thus, this study highlights the need to shift the criteria for selecting a partner towards values that incorporate religion, morality, and deeper emotional realities, to augment the equilibrium between the trends of online culture on the one hand and the lofty goals of Islamic legal thought on the other.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender equality in child custody rights (?a??nah) through Fazlur Rahman’s double movement hermeneutic framework. The research focuses on the relevance of Qur’anic and Prophetic texts regulating parental responsibilities, particularly QS Al-Baqarah: 233, QS At-Tahrim: 6, and several hadiths addressing custody arrangements. This study employs a qualitative library research design with a historical–contextual analytical approach. Through Rahman's hermeneutics, the research re-evaluates classical Islamic legal formulations that often prioritize mothers in custody decisions without considering contemporary social transformations. The findings reveal that sociocultural contexts and patriarchal structures of early Muslim societies significantly influenced classical custody rulings. Therefore, modern custody decisions should emphasize child welfare, parental capability, psychological stability, and shared responsibility rather than gender-based assumptions. The study concludes that Islam fundamentally offers equal opportunities for both parents to assume childcare responsibilities. Accordingly, custody arrangements must prioritize the child's best interests and align with the moral principles of justice, compassion, and cooperation embedded in Islamic teachings. This hermeneutic reinterpretation highlights the necessity of contextual legal reasoning to ensure gender-balanced and child-centered custody practices.
