Abstract

The Qur'an is a holy book revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW. In addition to being a guide, the Qur'an can also be memorized in detail by humans, both in terms of letters, words, and punctuation. The Qur'an is a book whose language is preserved and guaranteed by Allah SWT. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the muroja'ah method in improving the quality of Qur'an memorization among students at Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where data is collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of muroja'ah activities. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the muroja'ah method is carried out through several systematic stages, namely daily muroja'ah, monthly muroja'ah, and monthly muroja'ah with memorization targets adjusted to the abilities of the students. The findings indicate that the muroja'ah method has a significant impact on improving the quality of students' memorization, as seen in terms of the strength of memorization, accuracy of recitation (tajwid), and fluency in repeating memorization. Factors supporting the success of this method include student discipline, instructor competence, a structured schedule, and a conducive boarding school environment. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors found include time constraints and varying levels of concentration among students. This study concludes that the muroja'ah method is an effective strategy in maintaining and improving the quality of Al-Qur'an memorization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas latihan circuit training dalam meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani atlet sepak bola. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen one group pretest–posttest dengan melibatkan 20 atlet yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Program circuit training dilaksanakan selama enam minggu dengan frekuensi tiga kali latihan per minggu, mencakup rangkaian latihan kekuatan, daya tahan, kecepatan, dan kelincahan. Pengukuran kebugaran jasmani meliputi tes VO₂max, sprint 30 meter, sit-up, push-up, dan agility test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada seluruh komponen kebugaran jasmani setelah mengikuti program latihan, terutama pada daya tahan kardiovaskular yang tercermin dari peningkatan nilai VO₂max. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa circuit training merupakan metode latihan yang efektif dan komprehensif dalam meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani atlet sepak bola, sehingga direkomendasikan sebagai bagian dari program latihan rutin

Abstract

Language learning is a crucial phase in human cognitive development, as described in the revelations of the Qur'an. Verse QS. Al-Baqarah/ 2:31 illustrates how Allah SWT gave Prophet Adam As knowledge of the names (of objects) as a form of scientific initiation, which provides deep inspiration regarding a holistic and direct approach to language learning. This study aims to compare the inspirational approach of this verse with the Direct Method (DM) in modern language teaching, which prioritizes the direct use of the target language without translation, through verbal, visual, and real-life context interactions. The research methodology is qualitative with a hermeneutic approach, which involves the interpretation of the Qur'an (based on sources such as Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Tafsir al-Mishbah) and pedagogical literature analysis. The comparison focuses on key learning elements, such as the rejection of rigid and traditional grammatical methods, and an emphasis on direct experience and natural repetition to build language competence. The results of the study reveal similarities and differences between the two approaches: both emphasize direct experience and authentic interaction, but inspiration from the Qur'an enriches the Direct Method (DM) with a spiritual dimension, in which the learning process is seen as a divine mandate that triggers intrinsic motivation. The practical implications include the integration of Qur’an values.

Abstract

This literature review article aims to describe the role of educational technology in the development of competency-based curricula within the Indonesian “Kurikulum Merdeka” framework. The review synthesizes national and international studies on digital technology integration, teacher competency, and competency-based curriculum design, focusing on planning, implementation, and assessment processes. The findings indicate that educational technology supports data-based curriculum planning, student-centered and differentiated learning, as well as authentic and continuous assessment of competencies; however, challenges remain in terms of teachers’ digital skills, infrastructure gaps, and uneven access among schools. The article concludes that well-managed educational technology can become a key driver for realizing the goals of Kurikulum Merdeka to produce competent, character-based, and digitally literate graduates.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how cultivating environmentally conscious behavior can support the development of naturalistic intelligence in children aged 4–6 years through direct experiences in daily activities. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that simple activities such as caring for plants, utilizing used materials, maintaining the cleanliness of play areas, and observing the surrounding environment help children understand the relationship between human actions and natural conditions. These habits make children more sensitive to environmental changes, foster a sense of responsibility, and strengthen their ability to recognize natural patterns. These findings confirm that direct involvement in environmentally friendly activities significantly contributes to the growth of naturalistic intelligence in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of game-based learning models in improving the physical fitness of elementary school students through a literature review of ten national journals published between 2021 and 2025. The research employed a literature study approach by analyzing empirical findings from previous studies. The results indicate that game-based learning consistently enhances various components of physical fitness, including endurance, speed, agility, and muscular strength. In addition to improving physical fitness, this model also increases students’ motivation, participation, and social interaction during physical education learning activities. Another strength of this model lies in its flexibility, allowing it to be adapted to different school environments and available facilities. Overall, game-based learning is an effective and recommended strategy for optimizing elementary students’ physical fitness within the context of physical education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the cultural heritage of the Malay people, encompassing their work ethic, taboos, traditional attire, cultural values, and various forms of traditional crafts. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research examines literature sources, cultural observations, and the values still preserved within Malay society today. The Malay work ethic is rooted in religious teachings and social values emphasizing honesty, diligence, and responsibility. Taboos function as a system of norms that maintain harmony between humans, society, and nature. Traditional clothing and crafts—such as songket, weaving, and rattan work—reflect the creativity and distinct cultural identity of the Malay people. The findings reveal that Malay cultural heritage serves not only as a historical legacy but also as a source of moral values and inspiration for shaping the character of younger generations. Therefore, the preservation of Malay culture should be continuously strengthened through education and cultural activities.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has facilitated students in completing academic tasks; however, it has also increased the risk of dependency that may affect their critical thinking skills. This study aims to examine the influence of AI dependency on critical thinking skills among university students in Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was employed, involving 408 students aged 18–23 years selected using purposive sampling. AI dependency was measured using the Dependence on Artificial Intelligence (DAI) Scale, while critical thinking skills were assessed using the Critical Thinking Questionnaire (CThQ). The Spearman correlation test indicated a strong and significant positive relationship between AI dependency and critical thinking skills (r = 0.759, p = 0.000). Furthermore, a simple linear regression analysis revealed that the regression model was significant (F = 585.152, p = 0.000), and that AI dependency contributed 59% (R² = 0.590) to the variance in critical thinking skills. The regression coefficient also demonstrated a significant positive effect (B = 0.371; β = 0.768; t = 24.190; p = 0.000). These findings suggest that the higher the students’ dependency on AI, the higher their critical thinking skills. Therefore, digital literacy and proper education regarding the use of AI are needed to ensure that the technology supports the development of students’ cognitive quality.

Abstract

This literature review aims to analyze the effectiveness of cooperative learning models in improving students’ fundamental movement skills. Data were obtained from ten national journals published between 2021 and 2025 related to cooperative learning in physical education. The findings indicate that cooperative learning models such as Jigsaw, STAD, TGT, Think-Pair-Share, Numbered Heads Together, and game-based cooperative learning significantly enhance fundamental movement skills, including locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative abilities. Group interaction, active participation, and collaborative learning environments are key factors contributing to this improvement. The study concludes that cooperative learning is an effective instructional approach and can be broadly implemented in physical education classes at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to qualitatively analyze the transformation of learning in primary schools through the implementation of Digital Media Essemblr Edu. The background of this research is based on a paradigm shift in education in the digital era that demands innovation in the teaching and learning process. With a case study approach, this study explores how the use of Essemblr Edu affects teachers ' pedagogical practices, student engagement, and the learning atmosphere in the primary school environment. Data was collected through classroom observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of curriculum documents and lesson plans. The results showed that the implementation of Essemblr Edu triggered significant transformations that include: increased motivation and active participation of students, personalization of learning experiences through interactive features, and adaptation of teachers ' teaching strategies towards a more facilitative approach. Nevertheless, challenges related to infrastructure and technological adaptation capacity of teachers were also identified. The implications of this study affirm Essemblr Edu's potential as a catalyst for positive change in learning in primary schools, while stressing the importance of comprehensive support for the sustainability of digital innovation.
