Abstract

This study aims to compile teaching materials for Folklore Texts in Senior High Schools/Vocational High Schools. Researchers studied folklore texts in Indramayu Regency based on structure, linguistic elements and values, to be used as Indonesian language teaching materials. This study uses a mixed method research method, namely a research method that combines or combines quantitative and qualitative methods to be used together in a research activity so that more comprehensive, valid, reliable and objective data are obtained. In this study, the first stage collects and analyzes qualitative data in answering the first and second problem formulations, namely how folklore exists in Indramayu society and its development as teaching materials for folklore texts. Then the second stage, collects and analyzes quantitative data to answer the third problem formulation, namely, how effective is the application of teaching materials for folklore texts. The data collected through this study were qualitative, describing the structure, elements, and values ​​of folklore texts in Indramayu Regency. A comprehensive review of the assessment results by two validators indicated that the five aspects fell within the range of X > 81 (validator 1) and X > 87.04 (validator 2). Therefore, the textbook "Folklore Texts" was categorized as appropriate based on validation by textbook experts.

Abstract

This study was conducted using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental technique. Data were obtained through several procedures, including tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the documentation in this study were fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Larangan 09, Tangerang City. The results of the study revealed that the use of serial picture media in the fourth-grade class at SD Negeri Larangan 09, Tangerang City, could enhance students’ learning engagement. Students appeared more enthusiastic, showed a high interest in composing essays, and actively participated in narrative writing activities. Moreover, the use of serial picture media proved effective in improving narrative writing skills while fostering positive collaborative writing during the learning process. For teachers, the utilization of this media supports their performance and simultaneously enhances professionalism in teaching activities. Therefore, serial picture media can be used as an effective learning tool to develop students’ cognitive (thinking), affective (attitude), and psychomotor (narrative writing skills) aspects. This study recommends that serial picture media be utilized by teachers, students, schools, and future researchers in learning activities, especially in Indonesian language lessons.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low collaboration skills and mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Kelayan Timur 12 Banjarmasin. The study aims to describe teacher activities, analyze student activities, collaboration skills, and mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the BARAMEAN learning model, which combines Problem-Based Learning, Make a Match, and Game-Based Learning. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each with two meetings. The subjects were 27 fifth-grade students (14 male and 13 female) in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The findings showed significant improvements in every observed aspect. Teacher activities increased from a score of 27 (good) in the first meeting to 36 (very good) in the fourth meeting. Student activities improved from 44% (quite active) in the first meeting to 93% (very active) in the fourth meeting. Collaboration skills rose from 56% (quite skilled) to 93% (very skilled). Meanwhile, student learning outcomes increased from 37% mastery in the first meeting to 93% in the fourth meeting, exceeding the classical completeness criteria. These results indicate that implementing the BARAMEAN model fosters active participation, enhances collaboration, and significantly improves mathematics learning outcomes. Thus, the BARAMEAN model can be an innovative and effective alternative for mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Web-based information systems are rapidly expanding across sectors, yet development methodologies and security practices remain inconsistent. This study aims to map trends in methodologies, security technologies, and implementation domains through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The review followed five stages: defining criteria, selecting sources, screening literature, collecting, and classifying data. Analysis of selected articles from 2021–2025 shows that the most common methodologies are Research and Development (R&D), Waterfall, and Rapid Application Development (RAD), while the adoption of Agile remains limited. In terms of security, most studies emphasize authentication and authorization, some apply encryption and data protection, and very few address web application security aligned with international standards. Regarding implementation, studies are concentrated in education, public service, and e-commerce, while finance and healthcare remain underexplored. These findings highlight research gaps in methodology adoption, security practices, and domain coverage, indicating the need for future studies to integrate modern approaches, apply international standards, and focus on critical sectors.

Abstract

Instilling discipline in schools is a strategic effort to reduce juvenile delinquency. Discipline as a character value needs to be instilled through various aspects, including punctuality, adherence to rules, accuracy in submitting assignments, and the use of good written language. However, in practice, students are still found to lack discipline, indicating that the school's role is not yet fully optimized. This study aims to describe the school's role in instilling discipline in students and identify the inhibiting factors faced at SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. Informants consisted of the Vice Principal for Curriculum and the Pancasila Education teacher as the main informants, as well as several students selected according to the research needs. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the school's role in instilling discipline to reduce juvenile delinquency at SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir has been implemented, but not optimally. The school has made various efforts through socialization of discipline, teacher supervision, sanctions, and integration of discipline values ​​in learning.  In conclusion, the role of schools in instilling discipline is not yet fully optimal, as the values ​​instilled through regulations, teacher role models, and supervision are not fully reflected in student behavior. Therefore, discipline still needs to be strengthened to foster an orderly school culture and contribute to reducing juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

Student engagement is a crucial component of meaningful learning, particularly in basic mathematics subjects that require active participation and conceptual understanding. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using arithmetic operation cards in enhancing elementary students’ engagement in learning multiplication factors. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach over two cycles, conducted at SD Negeri Inpres Skouw Mabo, Papua, involving 21 students from grades IV and V. Data were collected through observation, field notes, and teacher journals, and analyzed both quantitatively (Wilcoxon test) and qualitatively (thematic analysis). The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement, with average scores increasing from 56.05 (baseline) to 62.17 (cycle 1), and 69.05 (cycle 2) (p < 0.001). Qualitative data support these results by showing positive changes in students’ participation, enthusiasm, and thinking strategies. This study confirms that simple manipulative media such as arithmetic operation cards can serve as an effective alternative to enhance student engagement, particularly in areas with limited educational resources.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools still faces various challenges, particularly the low interest and motivation of students in understanding whole number operations, as well as the lack of learning media in the process. This condition demands innovation in instructional media that can create an active, enjoyable, and effective learning atmosphere. This research developed an interactive learning medium called Koputang (Smart Snakes and Ladders Box) to examine the development process, feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the medium in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Khasanah Samarinda. This study draws on the theory of game-based learning and the concept of interactive media, which supports students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor engagement. The development model used was ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires (media, material, and language),teacher, and student response questionnaires. The validation results showed that the Koputang medium received an average score of 89% (highly feasible) from experts, covering content, appearance, and language aspects. The practicality of the medium was demonstrated through teacher responses of 84% and student responses of 92.6%, both categorized as highly practical. These findings prove that the Koputang medium not only enhances students’ understanding of whole number operations but also creates a more enjoyable, interactive, and meaningful learning experience.

Abstract

This research and development focuses on the problems faced by students in understanding the material, particularly the perimeter of flat shapes. This problem arises due to the limited use of diverse and engaging learning resources, as well as the low use of technology. This study aims to determine the development process of an e-module, the feasibility of the e-module according to media, material, and language experts, and the practicality of the TPACK-based e-module for fifth-grade students. This research applies the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, and involves evaluation from media, material, and language experts. The results show that the e-module meets the very feasible category with an assessment of 92.86% from media experts, 84.44% from material experts, and 86.67% from language experts. Meanwhile, for practicality testing, it was conducted in two phases: the first was a small group test involving six students, which obtained a score of 98.63% with a very practical category, while the large group test involving 24 students obtained a score of 94.31% with a very practical category.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Teaching Practice (Microteaching) and Teaching Motivation on Teaching Readiness among students of the Economics Education Study Program at Universitas Riau. The background of this research is the low level of teaching readiness among students when they are required to engage in direct teaching practice in schools. This research employed a quantitative approach with a total of 70 respondents from the 2021 and 2022 cohorts, selected using random sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, and F-tests. The findings reveal that teaching practice (microteaching) has a partial effect on teaching readiness with a significance value of 0.003, while teaching motivation also has a partial effect with a significance value of 0.002. Simultaneously, teaching practice and teaching motivation significantly affect teaching readiness. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.441, indicating that 44.1% of teaching readiness is explained by these two variables. These results suggest that effective teaching practice (microteaching) and strong teaching motivation can enhance the readiness of Economics Education students at Universitas Riau in preparing for their future role as teachers.

Abstract

Effective crisis communication plays a crucial role in reputation recovery and rebuilding public trust. Emotional approaches in crisis communication focus not only on facts but also on addressing the emotions of the public, accelerating the recovery process and reducing uncertainty. This article focuses on the crisis faced by Boeing following the fatal crashes of the 737 MAX aircraft, involving the company’s use of emotional responses in crisis communication. By integrating crisis communication theories such as Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) and Affective Intelligence Theory, this article analyzes how Boeing managed the crisis through emotional communication strategies and the impact on the company’s reputation. The article highlights the importance of authentic emotional responses in regaining public trust and repairing organizational reputation after a crisis.
