Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model to improve student learning outcomes in fourth-grade Pancasila Education at SDN 81 Singkawang. The background of this study is based on low student learning outcomes caused by conventional learning methods and a lack of active student involvement in the learning process. This study used a classroom action research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, testing, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the STAD model can increase student activeness, cooperation, and understanding of Pancasila Education material. This is evident in the improvement in student learning outcomes in each cycle, both individually and in groups. Thus, the STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes, particularly in subjects that require an understanding of moral and national values such as Pancasila Education.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low utilization of technology-based learning media in IPAS learning, particularly the Water Cycle topic in grade V at SDN 1 Limbangan, where teachers predominantly used printed books, resulting in low student comprehension. To address this challenge and foster 21st-century skills, the Aquabumi learning media was developed using Articulate Storyline, Design ed to be interactive, engaging, and relevant to educational technology. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analyze , Design , Development , Implement, Evaluate). Data were collected through observations, needs questionnaires, interviews, expert validation (media and material), and teacher and student response questionnaires, involving 16 grade V students and the class teacher. Results showed Aquabumi was highly valid and practical, with media expert validation scoring 92% and material expert validation 90.6% (“Highly Valid” category). Teacher responses reached 90.6% and student responses 88.17%, both in the “Very Good” category. The media was considered attractive, easy to use, and significantly improved students’ motivation and understanding of the Water Cycle material. It is recommended that students use Aquabumi for independent learning, while teachers adopt it as an alternative IPAS teaching tool. Future Development s should expand content coverage, add interactive features such as simulations and educational games, and apply it to other subjects or levels to broaden and adapt its benefits.

Abstract

This text addresses the challenge of preserving Indonesia's regional languages, specifically the Sundanese language, which is losing its appeal among younger generations. This lack of interest is primarily due to monotonous, conventional teaching methods, as observed at SDN Pangandaran, where teachers only use textbooks. To combat this disengagement and reignite student enthusiasm, the text proposes integrating technology into education. Interactive learning media, such as Wordwall, are identified as a potential solution to help educators deliver material in a more engaging way that is relevant to the current digital era. Therefore, this research aims to examine how the use of Wordwall-based interactive media can increase student interest and understanding of the Sundanese language, especially concerning undak usuk basa Sunda (levels of language in Sundanese).

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, particularly in the topic of standard units of length. The main objective of this study was to analyze the effect of the STAD learning model on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of third-grade elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group. The research population consisted of all third-grade students in Paseh District, while the sample included 30 third-grade students from SDN Paseh I as the experimental class and 33 third-grade students from SDN Cileuksa as the control class. Data were collected through mathematical problem-solving ability tests. The findings revealed that the implementation of the STAD model had a positive effect on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, as indicated by an average N-Gain score of 0.48 in the experimental class. Meanwhile, conventional learning also produced a positive effect, but with a lower average N-Gain score of 0.20 in the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that the STAD learning model exerted a more significant effect, as reflected in the higher improvement of mathematical problem-solving abilities in the experimental class compared to conventional learning in the control class.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are one of the most important competencies in facing the challenges of the 21st century. However, the reality on the ground shows that many students still struggle to develop new ideas, lack the courage to express their ideas, and are unable to solve problems innovatively. This is due to conventional learning approaches and the lack of use of interactive media. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model based on Augmented Reality (AR) media in enhancing students' creative thinking skills. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and the dokumentation. The research subjects were seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Kota Cirebon. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify patterns in the learning process and outcomes. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the AR-based PBL model can create an active and enjoyable learning environment, increase student participation, and encourage the emergence of creative ideas. Students appeared more enthusiastic, were more willing to express their opinions, and were able to solve problems collaboratively. Teachers also stated that the use of AR helps clarify the material and stimulates students' curiosity. Thus, the AR-based PBL model has proven effective in enhancing creative thinking skills and can be an innovative solution in science education.

Abstract

Writing skills are a crucial aspect of Indonesian language learning, requiring students to express ideas logically, structurally, and in accordance with social contexts. However, in practice, writing instruction in schools still faces various challenges, including unsystematic approaches and a lack of understanding of the text types being taught. This article aims to provide a theoretical review of the genre-based pedagogy model as a strategy for developing writing skills in Indonesian language learning. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing academic books, scholarly journals, and relevant curriculum documents. The findings indicate that the genre pedagogy model, rooted in systemic functional linguistics theory, offers a structured writing instruction approach through explicit stages such as building context, modeling text, joint construction, and independent writing. This model not only enhances students’ technical writing abilities but also fosters their awareness of the social functions and structures of various genres. Nonetheless, the effective implementation of this model requires teacher readiness, sufficient training, and curricular support. This study recommends the application of genre pedagogy as an effective alternative strategy in writing instruction and encourages further research to empirically examine its impact in classroom settings.
