Abstract

This traditional game of gobak sodor was played as an effort to improve the gross motor skills of Group B children at Cempaka Glantangan Kindergarten in Tempurejo District, Jember Regency, as well as to introduce traditional games that are rarely played by children nowadays. This study was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The subjects of this study were the students of Group B at TK Cempaka Glantangan in Tempurejo District, Jember Regency, consisting of 15 children, including 4 boys and 11 girls. The initial research results conducted in the pre-cycle stage showed a lack of gross motor skills in children, with a percentage of 33.33% or falling into the “Beginning to Develop” (MB) category. The research results conducted in Cycle I obtained a percentage of 53.33% and were still in the “Beginning to Develop” (MB) category. Meanwhile, the results of the research in Cycle II showed an improvement in the children's gross motor skills by 86.66%, which falls into the “Developing as Expected” (DE) category. From these research results, it can be concluded that playing the traditional game of gobak sodor can improve the gross motor skills of Group B children at TK Cempaka Glantangan in Tempurejo District, Jember Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the gross motor skills of early childhood children through the traditional game activity Dengklek. The researcher used classroom action research (PTK) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at TK J – A RUMMI Jatisari, Jenggawah, Jember, involving 28 students in group B.Data collection techniques used were observation results and documentation. The results of the study showed that in the pre-cycle, 8 children (28.5%) achieved the expected level of development. In cycle 1, 13 students (46.4%) reached the target, and in cycle 2, there was an increase to 23 students (82.1%).It can thus be concluded that the Dengklek traditional game activity can improve the gross motor skills of early childhood children, as evidenced by the results of the research conducted at TK J – A RUMMI Jatisari, Jenggawah, Jember.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength, leg muscle strength, and hand-eye coordination to the smash ability in volleyball players of the Barengko Salutubu Team. The research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The population consisted of all 15 male volleyball players of the Barengko Salutubu Team, who were also selected as the sample using a total sampling technique. The instruments used included physical tests to measure arm muscle strength (push-up), leg muscle strength (standing broad jump), hand-eye coordination (ball throw and catch), and smash ability. Descriptive analysis results indicated that the players’ average physical abilities and smash performance were in the good category. Pearson correlation tests showed that all three independent variables had a significant relationship with smash ability: arm muscle strength (r = 0.868; p < 0.001), leg muscle strength (r = 0.651; p = 0.009), and hand-eye coordination (r = 0.744; p = 0.001). Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that all variables contributed significantly, with arm muscle strength being the dominant factor. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.899 indicates that 89.9% of the variability in smash ability can be explained by the three variables. Therefore, it can be concluded that arm muscle strength, leg muscle strength, and hand-eye coordination all contribute significantly, both individually and collectively, to volleyball smash ability. The study recommends that coaches focus on developing these physical components in athletes’ training programs.

Abstract

The purpose of this development research was to determine the need for developing an integrated Islamic science module in the science lesson on the water cycle to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes. The subjects were fifth-grade students at MI NU Tsamrotul Wathon. This research was a Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and tests. A limited-scale test was conducted in class VB with 10 students, and a large-scale test was conducted in class VA with 30 students. Data analysis techniques used normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, and gain tests. The results showed that: (1) The need for development of this module includes the need for feasibility in writing, teaching materials, and module benefits, as well as feasibility in aspects of content, construction, and language. (2) The development of this module was valid based on validation by media experts, material experts, and practitioner experts. The feasibility criteria for writing appearance were 62.5% (fairly adequate), teaching materials 72.5% (fairly adequate), function 91.6% (very adequate), and benefits 87.5% (very adequate). The feasibility criteria for the content aspect are 83.92% (very feasible), the construction aspect is 68.75% (feasible), and the language aspect is 60% (quite feasible). (3) The results of the development of this module are very effective in influencing student learning outcomes as indicated by the increase in cognitive learning outcomes with a Pvalue < α, namely Pvalue = 0.00 < 0.005. The gain test is 0.467 (moderate category).

Abstract

This study is entitled "The Impact of Using Information Technology in the Implementation of Guidance and Counseling Services by Guidance and Counseling Teachers at SMKN 1 Sumbar". The background of this study is based on the increasingly rapid development of information technology and its influence on the world of education, including in the implementation of guidance and counseling (BK) services. The use of information technology is expected to improve the quality of BK services, but on the other hand it also has the potential to cause various obstacles both in terms of facilities, understanding, and ethics of use. The purpose of this study is to determine the positive and negative impacts of the use of information technology in the implementation of guidance and counseling services by BK teachers at SMKN 1 Sumbar. This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative descriptive research type. The study population was 170 students, with a sample of 113 people selected using a sampling technique of 25–30% of the population. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the study indicate that the use of information technology in BK services has a positive impact in the form of increased communication and information exchange, ease of access to information, and encouraging collaboration and exchange of ideas. However, negative impacts were also identified, such as students' lack of understanding of information technology media and a tendency to misuse social media in the learning process.Thus, the use of information technology in guidance and counseling services at SMKN 1 Sumbar has been proven to increase service effectiveness, although additional support facilities, improved digital literacy, and supervision are still needed to minimize negative impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an environmentally contextualized reading corner as a solution to improve reading literacy among elementary school students in Dabin Wahidin Sudirohusodo, Lebaksiu District. Initial observations indicated low reading interest and comprehension skills among students, as well as underutilized reading corners in classrooms. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the development process included needs identification, design, expert validation, limited trials, and broad implementation. The results showed that reading corners designed with local environmental context and active teacher involvement significantly enhanced students' reading interest, text comprehension, and helped build a stronger culture of literacy. This program proved effective and can serve as an applicable instructional strategy that supports the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in a more targeted and contextual manner. In addition to improving cognitive skills, this literacy activity also strengthened students' social interaction through discussion and book sharing. Teachers played a strategic role in creating an engaging reading corner atmosphere and guiding structured reading activities. This research offers practical contributions to literacy development in primary education settings, particularly in areas with limited resources.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the level of use of technology that still needs to be improved and the use of technology is more demanding than necessary. This study aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership of school principals on the use of information technology as a learning resource at UPT SMAN 9 Wajo. This type of research is a quantitative research, where data is collected through a questionnaire distributed to teachers at UPT SMAN 9 Wajo. The data analysis used was normality test, descriptive analysis, simple linear regression analysis and simple regression coefficient test. The results of the study showed that there was a positive influence between the transformational leadership of the principal and the increase in the use of information technology by teachers as a learning resource by 55% and the level of information technology use at UPT SMAN 9 Wajo was in the good category with a percentage of 45%.

Abstract

Currently, Buddhist Vocational High Schools (SMK) have emerged in Indonesia. These schools are vocational high schools based on Buddhist teachings in their learning approach. However, 35%–40% of the students are non-Buddhists. This study aims to: 1) Analyze the underlying factors behind the decision-making of non- Buddhist parents in choosing Buddhist Vocational High Schools in Tangerang Regency, 2) Analyze the role of Buddhist values in the decision-making process of parents when selecting Buddhist Vocational High Schools in Tangerang Regency. This is a qualitative case study conducted at a Buddhist Vocational High School in Tangerang Regency, namely SMK Atisa Dipamkara. The subjects of this study are parents of non-Buddhist students enrolled in the Buddhist school. Data were collected using interview techniques. A total of eight (8) non-Buddhist parents were interviewed, consisting of one Muslim, four Christians, two Catholics, and one Hindu. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles, Huberman, and Sadana method. The results of the study are as follows: 1) The decision-making process of parents in choosing a Buddhist Vocational High School in Tangerang Regency is influenced by several factors, including the student’s interests and talents, school quality, distance, positive public perception, tolerance, school culture, Buddhist teachings, character education, positive values observed in Buddhist communities, and the desire to introduce diversity, 2) The Buddhist values that play a role in the parents’ decision-making in choosing a Buddhist Vocational High School in Tangerang Regency include inner peace, tolerance, meditation practices, loving- kindness, generosity (dāna), self-restraint, the law of karma, and respect for parents

Abstract

The right of individuals to enter or leave a territory is a fundamental human right that is inherently attached to every person. However, the exercise of this right must be balanced with corresponding obligations to ensure the protection of others' rights—one of which involves the rights and responsibilities associated with obtaining travel documents. This study focuses on one such travel document issued by the Republic of Indonesia: the Indonesian Passport (Paspor RI). The falsification of civil registry data by a Singaporean national in the process of acquiring an Indonesian passport constitutes a misuse of the state administrative system, which poses a threat to the legitimacy of immigration documents. The weak integration of verification systems between the Directorate General of Immigration and the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) creates legal loopholes that may be exploited by foreign nationals to unlawfully obtain citizenship or immigration documents. This research aims to analyze the urgency of reforming immigration law, both substantively and administratively, in order to evaluate legal gaps that have not yet addressed these issues and to propose legal reforms that can resolve the problems in the Indonesian passport issuance process. The method used is normative, employing statutory and comparative legal approaches. The findings indicate that Law No. 6 of 2011 does not yet specifically regulate effective cross-sectoral verification mechanisms or impose specific sanctions on foreign nationals who falsify civil data. Therefore, legal reform is needed in the form of additional provisions concerning system integration and the strengthening of administrative criminal sanctions as a systemic preventive measure.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine whether the application of the make a match model in learning to write procedural texts for class VII students of MTs Darul Falah Bongas in the 2024/2025 academic year is effective and 2) to determine how the learning activity of writing procedural texts by applying the make a match model is for class VII students of MTs Darul Falah Bongas in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses an quasi experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was all class VII students of MTs Darul Falah Bongas in the 2024/2025 academic year. By using a purposive sampling technique, class VII C was determined as the experimental class with 36 students and class VII D as the control class with 36 students. Research data was collected through tests (pretest and posttest) and observations. Based on the pretest and posttest results for the experimental and control classes, the average pretest score for the experimental class was 71.53, increasing to 82.92 in the posttest. Meanwhile, the average pretest score for the control class was 67.50, increasing to 76.94 in the posttest. Based on the results of statistical calculations using the two independent t-test (independent sample t-test), the t-count was 3.221 and the t-table was 1.994. So, thitung (3.221) > ttabel (1.994), this shows that HI is accepted and HO is rejected. Thus, it can be stated that the make a match model is effectively applied in learning to write procedural texts for class VII students of MTs Darul Falah Bongas in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Based on the analysis of observation data, observations of teacher and student activities on average obtained a grade of B (good) proven that the application of the make a match model can increase student activity in the learning process of writing procedural texts for class VII students of MTs Darul Falah Bongas in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
