Abstract

This study aims to develop flashcard media to improve the writing skills of sixth-grade students at SDN 271 Gresik through the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). In the Define stage, it was found that students experienced difficulties in generating ideas, selecting vocabulary, and composing descriptive paragraphs due to teacher-centered instruction and the lack of visual stimuli during writing lessons. The Design stage produced 40 colored flashcards equipped with keywords, along with learning devices aligned with the curriculum competencies. Validation by material and media experts indicated very high feasibility, scoring 91.6% and 93.3% respectively. A small-group trial showed that 90% of students understood the instructions well and were able to compose paragraphs more quickly using the flashcards. Field testing in the experimental class demonstrated a significant improvement in writing performance, with students’ average score increasing from 56.80 on the pretest to 87.25 on the posttest, achieving an N-Gain value of 0.70 (high category), while the control class only reached 0.31. Additionally, 94% of students gave positive responses, stating that the media was engaging, easy to use, and helped stimulate writing ideas. Teachers also viewed flashcards as practical and flexible for various types of texts. These findings indicate that flashcard media is effective in enhancing students’ writing skills and can serve as an alternative instructional tool for teaching writing in elementary schools.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to introduce and instill Sundanese culture through the KARASAMAN (Kaulinan Rakyat Sunda Sareng Pasar Amanah) program, implemented by all students of SDN 6 Nagrikaler and P3K students from UPI Purwakarta. This activity is carried out through a series of activities, including traditional Sundanese games, an introduction to traditional culinary arts, and traditional market practices, due to the fading of Sundanese culture among the younger generation. Furthermore, this activity supports the strengthening of local cultural education, namely the 7 Poè Atikan, a regional education program in Purwakarta. Thus, KARASAMAN is able to provide a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience and strengthen efforts to preserve Sundanese culture in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research examines the educational philosophy of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan and its role as a foundational reference for innovation in modern Islamic education. The study is motivated by contemporary issues in Islamic schooling, particularly the weakening of students’ character and the urgent need to harmonize religious teachings with modern scientific knowledge. The objective of this work is to explore Dahlan’s key educational principles, his instructional approaches, and their relevance in addressing present educational challenges. Employing a qualitative library research design, this study analyzes credible academic sources, including journal articles, books, and historical documentation. The results show that Dahlan highlighted the inseparability of religious and general sciences, promoted contextual interpretation of Qur’anic teachings, and emphasized character formation through exemplary conduct and real-life application of knowledge. His pedagogical strategies—such as contextual instruction, demonstration, and experiential learning—proved effective in developing students’ intellectual, ethical, and social competencies. The study concludes that Dahlan’s educational vision remains profoundly significant today, offering a holistic and adaptive framework that integrates cognitive growth, moral development, and social engagement. His ideas continue to provide a transformative model for Islamic education in responding to global changes while upholding essential moral and spiritual values.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Educandy learning media on student learning interest in Science and Natural Sciences (IPAS) subjects for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 42 Pekanbaru. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent control group design. The study population consisted of 89 fifth-grade students, with a sample of 42 students divided into two groups: 22 students in class V A as the control group and 20 students in class V D as the experimental group. Data collection techniques included observation sheets and questionnaires using a four-point Likert scale covering indicators of feelings of pleasure, acceptance, interest, and student involvement. The instrument validity test used product moment correlation, while reliability testing employed Cronbach's Alpha. Data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, Pearson correlation tests, and N-Gain tests. The results showed that the experimental class experienced an average increase of 10.20 points from 62.55 to 72.75, while the control class only increased by 4.95 points from 61.68 to 66.63. The independent sample t-test produced a significance value of 0.001, smaller than 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The N-Gain test showed a score of 0.513 in the moderate category for the experimental class and 0.191 in the low category for the control class. These findings prove that Educandy learning media has a significant influence on increasing student learning interest in IPAS learning at SD Negeri 42 Pekanbaru through interactive and engaging learning experiences.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This descriptive qualitative study investigates the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model in teaching length and weight measurement in a third-grade classroom at SDN H. Agus Salim, Bandung Regency. The study focuses on: (1) the design and enactment of STAD based lesson plans and learning tasks; (2) students’ social interaction and individual accountability within heterogeneous teams; and (3) trends in learning outcomes after the model is applied. STAD was implemented over three meetings through whole-class instruction, team work supported by concrete measuring tools and student worksheets, individual quizzes, improvement scores, and team rewards. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with the teacher and six students, and document analysis of lesson plans, worksheets, and quiz records. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing with source triangulation. The findings show that STAD encourages more active participation, supportive peer communication, and clearer division of roles among team members. Average quiz scores and team improvement scores tended to increase, and most students achieved the minimum mastery criterion on measurement tasks. The study concludes that STAD is a promising model for strengthening meaningful social interaction while supporting conceptual understanding of length and weight measurement in lower primary mathematics. Keywords: STAD, Cooperative Learning, Social Interaction, Mathematics Achievement, Elementary Measurement ABSTRAK Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini mengkaji penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) pada materi pengukuran panjang dan berat di kelas III SDN H. Agus Salim, Kabupaten Bandung. Fokus penelitian meliputi: (1) perancangan dan pelaksanaan modul ajar berbasis STAD; (2) interaksi sosial dan akuntabilitas individu dalam tim heterogen; dan (3) kecenderungan hasil belajar setelah model diterapkan. STAD dilaksanakan dalam tiga pertemuan melalui presentasi kelas, kerja tim dengan dukungan alat ukur konkret dan LKPD, kuis individu, perhitungan skor perkembangan, dan penghargaan tim. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semiterstruktur dengan guru dan enam siswa, serta telaah dokumen berupa modul ajar, LKPD, dan rekap nilai kuis. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif yang mencakup kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa STAD mendorong partisipasi yang lebih aktif, komunikasi sebaya yang suportif, dan pembagian peran yang lebih jelas di dalam tim. Rata-rata nilai kuis dan skor perkembangan tim cenderung meningkat, dan sebagian besar siswa mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal pada tugas pengukuran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa STAD merupakan model yang menjanjikan untuk memperkuat interaksi sosial bermakna sekaligus mendukung pemahaman konsep pengukuran panjang dan berat di kelas rendah sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership of the Student Council (OSIS) President as the driving force behind the collaborative culture among students at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi for the 2024/2025 period. The research focuses on: (1) the transformational leadership characteristics demonstrated by the OSIS President; (2) charismatic leadership attributes that motivate members; and (3) the synergy between the supervisor, president, and OSIS members in building a collaborative organizational culture. A qualitative case study approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that the OSIS President, Muhammad Faturrahman, consistently and effectively implements the four dimensions of transformational leadership idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Additionally, the president demonstrates charismatic leadership traits, including strong self-confidence, persuasive communication, personal magnetism, and empathetic behavior, which strengthen emotional ties among members. The close synergy between the OSIS supervisors, president, and members fosters a strong collaborative culture characterized by open communication, participatory meetings, clear division of tasks, and a high sense of ownership toward organizational programs. The study concludes that the OSIS President’s leadership plays a central and significant role in shaping a collaborative culture and serves as a relevant model of student leadership aligned with 21st-century educational demands.

Abstract

The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) continues to shape primary education in many parts of the world. In practice, however, schools do not experience these changes in the same way. In Indonesia, for instance, teachers often struggle with very basic issues such as unstable internet access, limited devices availabilities, and uneven digital skills among both teachers and students. Meanwhile, countries like Germany, Finland, and Ireland deal with a different set of concerns. Their discussions tend to focus on how confident teachers feel when using technology, how well students develop computational thinking skills, and whether online training programs actually help teachers in their everyday classroom work. These differences made our reseachers team-mates curious about what current research really says about the role of ICT in improving learning at the primary level. This study, therefore, brings together findings from 13 journal articles published between 2021 and 2025, covering several countries including Indonesia, Taiwan, Germany, Finland, China, and Ireland. Using a thematic meta-synthesis approach, the articles were reviewed through four steps: selecting the studies, extracting key points, grouping similar ideas, and interpreting the overall themes that emerged.The review is expected to offer a clearer and more grounded picture of how ICT is being used, what benefits it brings, and what barriers still remain in different educational settings. Hopefully, these insights can help teachers, schools, and policymakers think more realistically about how technology can support primary education.

Abstract

This article discusses the philosophical foundations of Personalized Learning or Differentiated Instruction in the context of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. Differentiated learning is an essential approach aligned with the ideals of national education that centers on the learner, particularly as inherited from Ki Hajar Dewantara, who emphasized the natural potential of children and the freedom to learn. This study employs a literature review method to analyze the interrelation between the philosophies of Humanism, Constructivism, and Progressivism with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum and the practice of differentiated learning. The results indicate that Differentiated Instruction is not merely a pedagogical strategy but a manifestation of a philosophical belief that every learner is a unique individual with diverse readiness levels, interests, and learning profiles. The Merdeka Curriculum, through its focus on developing the Profil Pelajar Pancasila (Pancasila Student Profile) and promoting teacher autonomy, provides adequate space for the implementation of differentiation in content, process, and product. Philosophically, this approach aims to realize learning freedom (student autonomy) and educational equity (equal opportunities for all students to achieve their maximum potential), which are the core pillars of the Merdeka Belajar policy. Despite challenges in implementation—such as teacher readiness and resource availability—a strong understanding of these philosophical foundations is crucial to ensure that differentiation practices are applied holistically rather than merely administratively. Artikel ini membahas landasan filosofis dari Pembelajaran Personalisasi atau Pembelajaran Diferensiasi (Differentiated Instruction) dalam konteks implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di Indonesia. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi merupakan pendekatan esensial yang sejalan dengan cita-cita pendidikan nasional yang berpusat pada peserta didik, khususnya yang diwariskan oleh Ki Hajar Dewantara, yang menekankan pada kodrat anak dan kemerdekaan belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur untuk menganalisis keterkaitan filosofi pendidikan Humanisme, konstruktivisme dan progresivisme dengan prinsip-prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka dan praktik pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Pembelajaran Diferensiasi tidak hanya sekadar strategi pedagogis, tetapi merupakan manifestasi dari keyakinan filosofis bahwa setiap peserta didik adalah individu unik dengan kesiapan, minat, dan profil belajar yang beragam. Kurikulum Merdeka, melalui penekanan pada pengembangan Profil Pelajar Pancasila dan otonomi guru, memberikan ruang yang memadai bagi implementasi diferensiasi konten, proses, dan produk. Secara filosofis, penerapan pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk mewujudkan kemerdekaan belajar (otonomi siswa) dan keadilan pendidikan (kesempatan yang setara bagi semua siswa untuk mencapai potensi maksimal mereka), yang merupakan pilar utama dari kebijakan Merdeka Belajar. Meskipun terdapat tantangan implementasi yang meliputi kesiapan guru dan sumber daya, pemahaman yang kuat terhadap fondasi filosofis ini krusial untuk memastikan praktik diferensiasi dilakukan secara holistik, bukan sekedar administratif.

Abstract

This study stemmed from the low science and literacy skills of early childhood students at TK Muslimat NU 45 Malang, attributed to the prevalence of conventional learning methods and the lack of concrete visual media. This research aims to develop "SALIRA Interactive Video" learning media based on the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) approach and to assess its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. The method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this research were all 39 students at TK Muslimat NU 45 Malang. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, practicality response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Validation results indicated that the product falls into the "Very Feasible" category with an average score of 90.75%. The practicality test yielded a score of 94.0%, categorized as "Very Practical." The effectiveness test results demonstrated a significant increase in the average science ability score from 54.5 to 86.0, and literacy ability from 56.0 to 88.5. It is concluded that the STEAM-based SALIRA Interactive Video is feasible and effective for enhancing early childhood science and literacy skills.

Abstract

Learning assessment does not solely focus on the cognitive domain but also includes the affective domain, which relates to students’ attitudes, values, and character development. This article aims to explore the concept of affective learning outcomes, the various affective domains according to Krathwohl’s Taxonomy, relevant operational verbs, and several assessment instruments such as Likert, Thurstone, Guttman, semantic differential, and rating scales. This study employs a descriptive approach using library research by analyzing various academic references. The results indicate that affective assessment plays a crucial role in shaping students’ personality and character. The appropriate use of assessment instruments enables educators to evaluate students’ attitudes and behaviors more objectively, systematically, and comprehensively. Therefore, affective assessment functions not only as an evaluation tool but also as a means of character formation based on moral and spiritual values.
