Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in responding to the multicultural reality of Indonesian society, which is characterized by religious, cultural, and social diversity. The challenges faced by Islamic education extend beyond strengthening religious identity to include its capacity to foster inclusive, tolerant, and just attitudes within a pluralistic society. This study examines the transformation of Islamic education in promoting multiculturalism in Indonesia through a library-based research approach. The analysis focuses on three main aspects: paradigms of Islamic education within a multicultural context, multicultural values embedded in Islamic education, and forms of transformation in Islamic education that address social diversity. The study employs a library research method by analyzing academic books and scholarly articles related to Islamic education and multiculturalism. Data are examined using content analysis to identify key concepts, patterns of thought, and prevailing approaches in Islamic education’s response to multiculturalism. The findings indicate that Islamic education is normatively grounded in values that align with the principles of multiculturalism, including justice, tolerance, and human solidarity. The transformation of Islamic education therefore requires a paradigm shift toward more inclusive approaches, the development of curricula that are responsive to diversity, and the implementation of dialogical and reflective pedagogical practices. This study underscores that a systemic and integrated transformation of Islamic education is a crucial prerequisite for strengthening its role in fostering a multicultural Indonesian society.

Abstract

Pendidikan tidak hanya berorientasi pada penyampaian materi akademik, tetapi juga pada upaya sistematis untuk menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan bermakna bagi peserta didik. Salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi keberhasilan akademik peserta didik adalah strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru di kelas. Strategi pembelajaran yang tepat mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar, pemahaman konsep, serta capaian hasil belajar peserta didik secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep, implementasi, tantangan, dan solusi strategi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan akademik peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan terhadap berbagai jurnal nasional dan internasional yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran berfungsi sebagai kerangka pedagogis yang mengarahkan proses belajar mengajar agar lebih terstruktur, interaktif, dan berpusat pada peserta didik. Implementasi strategi pembelajaran aktif, seperti pembelajaran kolaboratif, problem based learning, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital, terbukti mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar serta prestasi akademik peserta didik. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi strategi pembelajaran aktif dengan tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21 serta analisis tantangan kontekstual dalam praktik pembelajaran di Indonesia. Rekomendasi penelitian menekankan pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru, dukungan institusional, dan pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan akademik peserta didik.

Abstract

Integrasi pesantren ke dalam sistem pendidikan Islam formal di Indonesia membawa implikasi signifikan terhadap pengelolaan kurikulum pendidikan. Penerapan standar kurikulum nasional yang menekankan standardisasi kompetensi dan akuntabilitas pendidikan berinteraksi secara kompleks dengan tradisi pesantren yang berakar pada transmisi keilmuan Islam, pembentukan adab, dan otoritas kiai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara kritis bentuk ketegangan antara standar kurikulum nasional dan tradisi pesantren, faktor konseptual serta kebijakan yang melatarbelakanginya, dan dampak ketegangan tersebut terhadap praktik pendidikan pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi pustaka melalui analisis sistematis terhadap literatur ilmiah, dokumen kebijakan pendidikan, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi dan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola ketegangan kurikulum dan implikasinya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ketegangan kurikulum bersifat multidimensional, mencakup struktur dan muatan kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, sistem evaluasi, serta tata kelola kelembagaan pesantren. Ketegangan tersebut berdampak pada pergeseran orientasi pembelajaran, marginalisasi peran kitab kuning, perubahan relasi pedagogis, dan meningkatnya beban institusional pesantren. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa ketegangan kurikulum merupakan konsekuensi dari perbedaan paradigma pendidikan dan relasi kuasa antara negara dan pesantren. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penguatan kajian pendidikan Islam dengan menempatkan pesantren sebagai aktor aktif dalam negosiasi kebijakan kurikulum, serta menekankan pentingnya pendekatan kurikulum yang fleksibel dan kontekstual untuk menjaga keberlanjutan tradisi keilmuan pesantren dalam pendidikan Islam formal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of an Augmented Reality workshop using Assemblr Edu in improving teachers’ technological pedagogical competence. Teachers at Yos Sudarso School experienced limitations in accessing technology-based training, resulting in low integration of digital media in learning. This study employed a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving seven teachers. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire measuring four competence dimensions: cognitive, technical skills, affective, and pedagogical-technological competence. Data analysis was conducted using paired sample t-test and descriptive statistics. The results showed a significant improvement in the cognitive dimension (p = 0.040) with an increase of 30.2%. Technical skills increased by 27.6% but were not statistically significant. The affective dimension remained high and stable, while pedagogical-technological competence showed minimal change. These findings indicate that short-duration workshops are effective in strengthening teachers’ conceptual understanding of Augmented Reality; however, the development of pedagogical-technological competence requires sustained training and implementation mentoring

Abstract

The growing social, cultural, and religious diversity of Indonesian society demands a paradigm of Islamic education that is capable of managing differences in a constructive and ethical manner. Amid increasing identity polarization and the challenges of strengthening religious moderation, Islamic education is required to move beyond a doctrinal–transmissive approach toward a more inclusive and dialogical orientation. This study aims to reconstruct Multicultural Islamic Education as a new paradigm of Islamic education and to address the question of how its core concepts, values, and principles are formulated and what implications they hold for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design, in which data are collected through systematic and critical analysis of scholarly books and journal articles indexed in Google Scholar published between 2014 and 2025. Data analysis is conducted using content analysis and thematic analysis to synthesize key concepts, core values, and the theological, sociological, and pedagogical dimensions of multicultural Islamic education. The findings indicate that multicultural Islamic education constitutes an integrative paradigm grounded in the values of justice, compassion, ta‘āruf, tolerance, and dialogue, and serves as a strategic framework for strengthening religious moderation. This paradigm contributes theoretically to the enrichment of Islamic education scholarship and practically to the development of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and institutional culture in Islamic educational settings. The study concludes that multicultural Islamic education is highly relevant for addressing contemporary pluralistic challenges, while further empirical research is recommended to examine its contextual implementation in educational practice

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged the integration of interactive learning media to improve the quality of learning in elementary education. However, Indonesian language instruction, particularly poetry (pantun) learning, is still dominated by conventional media that provide limited student engagement, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Educaplay as an interactive learning medium in improving fifth-grade students’ learning outcomes on pantun material compared to PowerPoint. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with random sampling. The sample consisted of two fifth-grade classes at SDN 152 Cigagak, involving a total of 50 students assigned to an experimental group and a control group. Learning outcome data were collected through a validated achievement test and analyzed using N-Gain analysis and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results indicated a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups (p = 0.007). The experimental group achieved a higher post-test mean score than the control group, with a moderate N-Gain improvement, while the control group showed a low N-Gain category. These findings confirm that Educaplay, as a game-based and interactive learning medium, is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in pantun learning. The results also imply the need for future studies to focus on strengthening higher-order thinking skills, particularly the C4 (analyzing) indicator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penggunaan gadget terhadap perilaku sopan santun siswa kelas IV di SDN Turus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan siswa, guru, dan orang tua sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa menggunakan gadget untuk hiburan seperti menonton YouTube dan TikTok, dengan pemanfaatan yang sangat sedikit untuk kegiatan edukatif. Minimnya pengawasan orang tua dan kurang optimalnya peran guru dalam bimbingan berkontribusi terhadap menurunnya sopan santun verbal dan nonverbal siswa, seperti berkurangnya rasa hormat kepada guru, kebiasaan berbicara kasar, serta meniru perilaku dari media sosial yang tidak sesuai dengan norma kesopanan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan gadget memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku sopan santun dan pengendalian emosi siswa. Diperlukan kolaborasi yang kuat antara guru dan orang tua untuk memperkuat literasi digital dan pendidikan karakter secara seimbang. Temuan ini mendukung teori Piaget dan Vygotsky yang menekankan pentingnya interaksi sosial langsung serta bimbingan orang dewasa dalam pembentukan moral anak di era digital.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the dominance of students' fixed mindsets in Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) learning, which are dogmatic and focused solely on numerical values. The aim of the research is to explore the implementation of descriptive feedback to develop students' growth mindsets in the Hudud (Islamic Law) material. Using a qualitative case study method, data was collected through participant observation, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews in class XI IPAS 3 of MAN 2 Kota Bima. The results show that providing narratives to improve students' thought processes significantly reduces cognitive anxiety and increases students' confidence in expressing their opinions. In conclusion, descriptive feedback effectively shifts the learning paradigm from merely memorizing legal status to understanding logical-analytical reasoning. This research recommends a shift from absolute numerical assessment to constructive narrative guidance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines the integration of science and Islam through a comparative analysis of the perspectives of Seyyed Hossein Nasr and Mulyadhi Kartanegara and explores their relevance for the renewal of Islamic education in the modern era. The problem addressed in this research is the persistent dichotomy between religious knowledge and modern science within Islamic educational institutions, which has resulted in intellectual fragmentation and a decline in spiritual and ethical orientation. The objective of this study is to analyze and compare the epistemological, ontological, and axiological foundations of both thinkers regarding the integration of science and Islam, as well as to identify their implications for the reform of Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative library research method, utilizing primary sources from the works of Nasr and Kartanegara, supported by relevant books, journal articles, and academic studies. Data were analyzed through descriptive, interpretative, and comparative approaches. The findings reveal that Seyyed Hossein Nasr emphasizes the concept of scientia sacra, advocating the resacralization of knowledge and the reintegration of spiritual and ethical dimensions into modern science. Meanwhile, Mulyadhi Kartanegara focuses on epistemological reconstruction by integrating sensory perception, rational intellect, and spiritual intuition within a unified Islamic worldview. The study concludes that the synthesis of both perspectives offers a comprehensive framework for the renewal of Islamic education, combining spiritual depth with epistemological rigor to address contemporary educational challenges. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi sains dan Islam melalui analisis komparatif pemikiran Seyyed Hossein Nasr dan Mulyadhi Kartanegara serta relevansinya bagi pembaharuan pendidikan Islam di era modern. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji adalah masih kuatnya dikotomi antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum dalam sistem pendidikan Islam, yang berdampak pada fragmentasi keilmuan serta melemahnya dimensi spiritual dan etika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan landasan epistemologis, ontologis, dan aksiologis kedua tokoh dalam memahami relasi sains dan Islam, serta merumuskan implikasinya bagi reformasi pendidikan Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif, menggunakan karya-karya Seyyed Hossein Nasr dan Mulyadhi Kartanegara sebagai sumber primer yang didukung oleh literatur sekunder berupa buku dan artikel ilmiah relevan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif, interpretatif, dan komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Seyyed Hossein Nasr menekankan pentingnya scientia sacra, yaitu pengembalian dimensi kesakralan ilmu dan integrasi nilai spiritual dalam sains modern. Sementara itu, Mulyadhi Kartanegara menekankan rekonstruksi epistemologi Islam melalui integrasi indra, akal, dan intuisi (qalb) dalam kerangka tauhid. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sintesis pemikiran kedua tokoh tersebut memberikan landasan konseptual yang kuat bagi pembaharuan pendidikan Islam yang holistik, integratif, dan berkeadaban.

Abstract

Digital technology development requires the education sector to adapt through innovative learning media to enhance effectiveness and student engagement. This community service activity aims to improve teacher competence in utilizing digital teaching media and enhance students' literacy and numeracy skills at SDN Banyukambang, Madiun Regency. The primary issue identified was the underutilization of available digital facilities, such as Smart TVs and LCDs, where teachers still predominantly used conventional lecture methods, resulting in low student learning motivation. The implementation method consisted of three main stages: (1) Observation to identify learning needs and obstacles; (2) Training and Mentoring in creating teaching media using the Canva application and the Wordwall interactive platform ; and (3) Media Implementation directly within the teaching and learning process for grades II and III. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teachers' pedagogical competence in developing varied and interactive learning media. For students, the application of Wordwall had a positive impact by increasing enthusiasm, motivation, and active participation, which led to improved literacy and numeracy learning outcomes. This activity successfully created synergy between the university and the school in supporting digital-based educational transformation relevant to 21st-century demands.
