Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to develop Lembayung learning media for writing formal letter text skills in Phase D at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang for the academic year 2025/2026. The type of research and development used is the Hannafin & Peck model which involves the stages of needs assessment, design, and development and implementation. Data collection techniques include interviews, validation questionnaire sheets, and practicality questionnaire sheets. Data analysis techniques were carried out using qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive methods. The validation results by media experts obtained a score of 98% with very valid qualifications and the validation results by material experts obtained a score of 98% with very valid qualifications. Then, the practicality trial results for small group students obtained a score of 93.33% with very practical criteria and the practicality trial results for large group students obtained a score of 94.9% with very practical criteria.

School leadership plays a strategic role in shaping organizational culture that supports the effectiveness and sustainability of educational institutions. In the context of increasing demands for school quality and accountability, organizational culture has become a crucial factor influencing teachers’ behavior, collaboration, and commitment. This study aims to examine the role of school leadership in fostering an effective organizational culture through a systematic literature-based approach. The study analyzes recent scholarly publications discussing the relationship between school leadership, organizational culture, and organizational behavior in educational settings. The findings indicate that effective school leadership, characterized by participative, value-based, and supportive practices, significantly contributes to the development of a positive organizational culture. Such a culture encourages collaboration, trust, professional commitment, and continuous improvement within schools. This study highlights the importance of leadership capacity development as a key strategy for strengthening organizational culture and improving overall school effectiveness. Educational leadership in the 21st century faces increasingly complex challenges driven by rapid technological advancement, social change, and moral issues in educational practices. These conditions require educational leaders to not only possess managerial competence but also strong value-based leadership. This study aims to examine value-based educational leadership in addressing the challenges of 21st-century education in the Indonesian context. The study employs a systematic literature-based approach by analyzing national scholarly publications published between 2021 and 2025 that discuss educational leadership, values, and contemporary educational challenges. The findings indicate that value-based educational leadership plays a strategic role in shaping positive organizational behavior, strengthening school culture, enhancing teachers’ professional commitment, and supporting ethical and humanistic educational transformation. Value-based leadership serves as a moral compass that guides educational leaders in managing change while maintaining the core purpose of education. This study highlights the importance of integrating values into educational leadership as a sustainable strategy to improve school quality and educational outcomes in the 21st century. Educational leadership plays a crucial role in shaping group dynamics and team performance within educational organizations. Schools as professional organizations rely heavily on collective work among teachers, educational staff, and leaders to achieve institutional goals. This study aims to systematically review empirical and conceptual studies examining the implications of educational leadership on group dynamics and team performance. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study analyzes peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2021 and 2025 obtained from reputable academic databases. The findings reveal that educational leadership significantly influences team performance through its impact on group dynamics, including trust, psychological safety, collective efficacy, communication, and conflict management. Effective educational leadership fosters collaborative and adaptive team environments, enabling teams to respond constructively to organizational challenges and educational changes. This study highlights that leadership implications on team performance are mediated by social and psychological processes within groups, emphasizing the importance of leadership practices that support collaboration, empowerment, and shared responsibility in educational settings. This study aims to describe the role of the principal as an instructional leader in improving the quality of deeper learning in schools. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews and document analysis. The informants included the principal as the key informant, as well as teachers and the vice principal for curriculum affairs as supporting informants. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the principal enhances the quality of deeper learning through: establishing and strengthening a deeper-learning vision and mission that emphasizes student-centered learning and the development of critical, creative, collaborative, and reflective thinking; aligning instructional programs to ensure coherence among learning objectives, learning activities, and assessment so as to promote conceptual understanding and the application of knowledge; implementing improvement-oriented academic supervision followed by specific feedback on instructional processes; supporting teachers’ professional development and a culture of collaboration through professional learning forums and instructional reflection; and using learning data as a basis for improvement and follow-up actions. These findings suggest that deeper learning is more effectively developed when positioned as a school-wide quality agenda supported by consistent instructional leadership.

This study aims to determine the level of basic pencak silat skills of athletes from Tapak Suci Muhammadiyah Pancur Batu Martial Arts School. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method. The sample consisted of 15 athletes from Tapak Suci Muhammadiyah Pancur Batu. The instrument used was a basic pencak silat skills test covering straight kicks, sidekicks, crescent kicks, and punches. Data were collected through direct skill performance tests and analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The results showed that 2 athletes (13.33%) were categorized as very good, 2 athletes (13.33%) as good, 3 athletes (20%) as moderate, 1 athlete (6.66%) as poor, and 7 athletes (46.66%) as very poor. Overall, the basic pencak silat skill level of Tapak Suci Muhammadiyah Pancur Batu athletes falls into the very poor category, with the highest frequency found in this category. These findings indicate the need for improved and more structured training programs focusing on basic pencak silat techniques. Coaches are encouraged to emphasize fundamental skill development to enhance athletes’ performance levels. Future studies may involve larger samples and experimental designs to evaluate the effectiveness of specific training interventions.

This study aims to develop valid environmental context-based mathematics numeracy problems on fraction topics for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a qualitative approach using Research and Development (R&D) design based on the Tessmer model, consisting of preliminary and formative evaluation stages (self-evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group, and field test). Research subjects were fifth-grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 1 Samalanga, involving 3 students in the one-to-one stage, 6 students in the small group stage, and 30 students in the field test stage. Research instruments included interview guidelines, questionnaires, validation sheets, and test item sheets. Data analysis techniques included document analysis, Likert scale analysis for theoretical validity, as well as empirical validity analysis, item discrimination index, and item difficulty level analysis. Results indicated that the development process using the Tessmer model was carried out systematically and resulted in 35 numeracy items with 7 environmental context-based story texts. All items met theoretical validity criteria with 100% feasibility percentage based on expert validator assessments. Based on empirical validity testing, 29 items (82.86%) were declared valid. The developed environmental context-based mathematics numeracy problems on fraction topics are appropriate for use as assessment instruments for fifth-grade elementary students' numeracy skills.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of expository learning strategies in improving the ability of maharah al-istima' (Arabic listening skills) of grade VII.10 students at MTsN 2 Makassar and identify supporting and inhibiting factors for its implementation. The research used the Kemmis and McTaggart model Class Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles with 36 students. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' listening skills. The average value increased from 42.80% in the pre-cycle to 65.75% in the first cycle and reached 84.25% in the second cycle. The percentage of learning completeness also increased from 22.22% to 86.11%. Qualitatively, students show more active participation, increased confidence, and better understanding of oral texts. The application of expository strategies is considered to be able to create an interactive learning atmosphere and facilitate the understanding of vocabulary and sentence structure. Based on these results, expository learning strategies have proven to be effective in improving students' maharah al-istima' and can be used as an alternative method of learning Arabic at the madrasah level.

Psychological safety menjadi isu penting dalam lingkungan akademik seiring dengan meningkatnya tuntutan kinerja, produktivitas, dan kualitas akademik di institusi pendidikan tinggi. Lingkungan akademik yang sehat dan produktif tidak hanya ditentukan oleh aspek struktural dan manajerial, tetapi juga oleh kondisi psikologis yang mendukung interaksi terbuka dan kolaboratif antar sivitas akademika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran psychological safety dalam menciptakan lingkungan akademik yang sehat dan produktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis publikasi ilmiah nasional yang diterbitkan pada rentang tahun 2021–2025 dan membahas psychological safety, iklim akademik, kesejahteraan psikologis, serta produktivitas akademik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa psychological safety berperan fundamental dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis, memperbaiki kualitas relasi interpersonal, memperkuat budaya akademik kolaboratif, serta meningkatkan produktivitas akademik. Psychological safety memungkinkan sivitas akademika untuk menyampaikan gagasan secara terbuka, terlibat dalam dialog konstruktif, dan beradaptasi terhadap tantangan akademik tanpa rasa takut terhadap konsekuensi negatif. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa psychological safety merupakan fondasi penting dalam membangun lingkungan akademik yang berkelanjutan, inklusif, dan produktif. Organizational effectiveness in public elementary schools is strongly influenced by teachers’ willingness to perform extra-role behaviors that support school goals. Organizational culture is considered a key factor in shaping such behaviors, particularly through teachers’ affective commitment. This study aims to analyze the relationship between organizational culture and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) by examining the mediating role of teachers’ affective commitment in public elementary schools. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to public elementary school teachers and analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis, including mediation testing. The results indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on affective commitment and OCB. Furthermore, affective commitment significantly influences OCB and partially mediates the relationship between organizational culture and OCB. These findings suggest that a positive organizational culture strengthens teachers’ emotional attachment to the school, which in turn encourages voluntary behaviors that contribute to school effectiveness. The study highlights the importance of strengthening organizational culture and affective commitment to enhance teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior in public elementary schools.
