Abstract

High school students face various challenges in adapting to an increasingly complex social environment. Problems identified at SMA Negeri 11 Tangerang Selatan include a lack of self-confidence, difficulty in building positive interpersonal relationships, and vulnerability to negative peer influence among some students. This has the potential to hinder their personal and academic development. The objective of this activity is to improve the social adaptability of students at SMA Negeri 11 Tangerang Selatan through a series of structured interventions. The implementation method includes an educational and interactive approach. The activity will begin with a psychoeducational session on the importance of social adaptation, effective communication, and conflict management. This will then be followed by social skills training, including role-playing simulations to practice interacting in various social situations. Focus group discussions will also be held to share experiences and strategies for dealing with social challenges. Outdoor activities or collaborative games will also be integrated to strengthen relationships among students and increase their confidence in interactions. Evaluation of the activity will be conducted through student participant observation, pre- and post-intervention self-assessment questionnaires, and short interviews with student representatives. It is hoped that this activity will equip students with the skills needed to adapt positively to their social environment and achieve their full potential.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui tingkat penguasaan materi peta oleh murid setelah penerapan asesmen digital berbasis Zep Quiz di SMA Negeri 1 Bukittinggi, (2) mengetahui pengaruh penerapan asesmen digital berbasis Zep Quiz terhadap penguasaan materi peta pada kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Ekperiment). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Random Sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah murid kelas X E4 sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dan murid kelas X E2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media Zep Quiz. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrument pre-test dan post-test yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa uji validitas, reliabilitas, homogenitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, normalitas, T-Test, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan asesmen digital berbasis Zep Quiz pada pembelajaran Geografi memberikan pengaruh positif pada penguasaan materi peta dilihat dari empat ranah kognitif yaitu mengetahui, memahami, menerapkan, dan menganalisis, dan (2) penggunaan asesmen digital berbasis Zep Quiz berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan penguasan materi peta dalam pembelajaran Geografi. Temuan ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata murid dari hasil pretest sebelum pembelajaran sebesar 65,73 hingga nilai posttest setelah proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan sebesar 84,43. Dari uji hipotesis (Uji-T) diperoleh nilai Sig sebesar 0,001<0,005, rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen 0,57 (kategori sedang) dapat disimpulkan bahwa variable independent (X) yaitu penggunaan asesmen digital berbasis Zep Quiz pada materi peta memiliki pengaruh secara simultan terhadap variable dependen (Y) yaitu penguasaan materi murid kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

This research stemmed from the low early reading skills of Group B children at Al Hidayah 02 Kindergarten, Kademangan, particularly in letter recognition, understanding sound-letter relationships, and reading simple words. The goal was to improve these skills through the interactive media "Happy Letters." The study used a two-cycle action method encompassing planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, involving 25 children aged 5–6 years. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed an increase in reading skills from the underdeveloped to highly developed category. Furthermore, this media also increased children's motivation, self-confidence, and participation in learning. Thus, "Happy Letters" is effective in supporting the early literacy development of preschool children.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The context underlying this research is that Early Childhood Education plays a crucial role in developing language skills, particularly vocabulary mastery as a foundation for communication. However, observations at SPS Sanggar 21 in Majalangu Village indicate that the vocabulary skills of children aged 5–6 are still low, necessitating more effective stimulation. The use of papercraft puppets is an alternative solution because it creates interactive, enjoyable learning experiences and helps children understand and use vocabulary more optimally. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) model using the Kemmis and McTaggart models. It was conducted at SPS Sanggar 21 in Majalangu Village, Watukumpul District, Pemalang Regency. The subjects were 15 children in Group B at SPS Sanggar 21 in Majalangu Village, aged 5–6. Data collection was conducted using observation and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The research results show that the use of papercraft puppets significantly improved children's vocabulary skills from the pre-cycle to the second cycle. This improvement occurred because learning became more concrete, engaging, and actively engaged children through a combination of visuals, stories, and games. Furthermore, the play-based learning approach and social interaction through role-playing activities helped children more easily understand and use vocabulary in everyday communication. Thus, papercraft puppets have proven effective in creating enjoyable learning while supporting the language development of children aged 5–6 years. Keywords: Vocabulary Skills, Puppetry, Children Aged 5–6 Years ABSTRAK Konteks penelitian ini yang melatar belakangi kajian ini yakni, Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa, khususnya penguasaan kosa kata sebagai dasar komunikasi. Namun, hasil observasi di SPS Sanggar 21 Desa Majalangu menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kosa kata anak usia 5–6 tahun masih rendah, sehingga diperlukan stimulasi yang lebih efektif. Penggunaan media wayang papercraft menjadi alternatif solusi karena mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif, menyenangkan, serta membantu anak memahami dan menggunakan kosa kata secara lebih optimal. Kajian ini berjenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model yang digunakan yakni Kemmis dan McTaggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SPS Sanggar 21 Desa Majalangu, Kecamatan Watukumpul, Kabupaten Pemalang. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B di SPS Sanggar 21 Desa Majalangu dengan rentang usia 5-6 tahun. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 15 anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media wayang papercraft mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kosa kata anak secara signifikan dari pra siklus hingga siklus II. Peningkatan ini terjadi karena pembelajaran menjadi lebih konkret, menarik, dan melibatkan anak secara aktif melalui perpaduan visual, cerita, dan permainan. Selain itu, pendekatan belajar sambil bermain dan interaksi sosial melalui kegiatan bermain peran membantu anak lebih mudah memahami serta menggunakan kosa kata dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Dengan demikian, media wayang papercraft terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan sekaligus mendukung perkembangan bahasa anak usia 5–6 tahun. Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality and potential of students. Learning outcomes are systematic efforts made to improve the abilities, knowledge, skills, and attitudes of students in order to achieve learning objectives optimally. Therefore, the discovery learning model is used as an alternative to improve understanding and learning outcomes in mathematics. Based on the background, the formulation of the problem in this study is: Can the application of the discovery learning model improve student learning outcomes in multiplication material in grade III of Lamteungoh State Elementary School? This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in multiplication material in grade III of Lamteungoh State Elementary School. The method used is a quantitative method involving 16 students as research samples. Data were collected through observation, tests (pretest and posttest) and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the n-gain test, and the paired sample t-test. With the help of the SPSS version 27 and excel applications. If the sig α value <0.05, then reject H₀ → meaning there is an increase in understanding of the concept of multiplication. If the sig α value > 0.05, then accept H₀ → meaning there is no significant increase. The results of the study showed an increase in the average value from the pretest of 25.56 to the posttest of 33.81, with an N-Gain value of 0.52 in the moderate category. Hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test showed a significant difference (sig α < 0.05), so the discovery learning model has a positive effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

School libraries play a crucial role as a key supporting element in the learning process, particularly in building and developing reading interest and literacy habits among students. Optimally, these facilities go beyond mere book storage; they transform into integrated learning centers operated with a professional managerial approach. This approach encompasses essential stages such as strategic planning, effective resource management, structured daily activities, and continuous control and evaluation mechanisms to ensure high service quality. This study focuses on an in-depth analysis of the planning, implementation, and assessment stages of library management effectiveness in encouraging an increase in student literacy culture at SMA Miftahul Ulum Jatiurip, a pesantren-based educational institution. A qualitative approach with a case study design was chosen because of its ability to reveal the real picture and contextual nuances of library management practices in the school environment, which is unique due to the integration of religious values. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct field observations, and document studies, involving various key sources such as the principal, library management staff, supervising teachers, and students as the primary users. The data analysis process follows an interactive model that includes reducing raw information to essential patterns, presenting findings in a coherent narrative and visual form, and drawing inferences supported by strong evidence. This study aims to achieve a holistic understanding of the dynamics of library management at Miftahul Ulum Jatiurip High School, including a detailed understanding of key constraints such as budget or infrastructure limitations, as well as positive encouragement such as support from the Islamic boarding school community. This study is expected to summarize practical and theoretical values ​​in the development of library management in schools, especially in Islamic boarding school-based educational institutions. The findings obtained can be used as a primary reference for developing creative strategies to motivate students' interest in reading, for example through the integration of digital technology tools such as interactive e-book applications, strengthening literacy initiatives that collaboratively involve the Islamic boarding school community, and improving skills and training for library staff. As a result, the library is no longer just a supporting facility for the teaching and learning process, but is transformed into an effective center of change in building a sustainable literacy ecosystem, which is in line with the dynamics of the digital era and Islamic values ​​in the Islamic boarding school environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in speaking skills in grade V of SDN 14 Koto Lalang, Padang City. This study aims to describe the improvement of speaking skills in Indonesian language learning using the Paired Storytelling cooperative learning model. The type of research used is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the research were 28 grade V students of SDN 14 Koto Lalang, Padang City. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed an increase in each cycle. In terms of learning planning, there was an increase from the good category to very good. The implementation of learning also experienced an increase until it reached the very good category. Meanwhile, the results of students' speaking skills experienced an increase from an average score of 74.1 in the first meeting of cycle I to 80.2 in the second meeting, and increased again to 85.2 in cycle II with a level of completeness that has met the success indicators. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the Paired Storytelling type of cooperative learning model can improve the speaking skills of students in class V of SDN 14 Koto Lalang, Padang City.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the presence of elementary school students who still exhibit low social skills, such as difficulties in interacting, lack of empathy, and inability to cooperate effectively within the school environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of students’ social skills at SDN 1 Situsari. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method, with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire developed based on social skill indicators, including empathy, communication, cooperation, responsibility, participation, and problem-solving. The sample consisted of 30 students selected randomly. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics by calculating the mean and standard deviation. The results showed that students’ social skills were generally in the good category, with an average score of 71.17. A total of 33% of students were in the good category, 30% in the fairly good category, 30% in the not good category, and 3% each in the very good and very poor categories. These findings indicate that most students have relatively adequate social skills; however, there are still students with low social skills who require further attention. Therefore, efforts from teachers and schools are needed to improve students’ social skills through appropriate learning strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan supervisi dan manajemen sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualita pembelajaran di TK IT El-Buana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan guru, terutama melalui kegiatan pemantauan, pembinaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Selain itu, manajemen sekolah yang baik terlihat dari pengelolaan kurikulum, fasilitas, serta dukungan terhadap pengembangan profesional guru. Supervisi yang dilakukan secara terus-menerus dan manajemen yang teratur mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan sesuai dengan perkembangan anak usia dini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the speaking difficulties of English faced by staff at Bank NTB Syariah Branch Sriwijaya. Speaking is a crucial skill in professional settings, particularly in banking services, where effective communication with customers is essential. This research employs a quantitative and qualitative analysis to explore the speaking difficulties faced by staff and how they overcome these difficulties. Data were collected through a questionnaire and an interview. The respondents in this study are 10 customer service staff members at the Bank NTB Syariah branch in Sriwijaya. The findings reveal that the main difficulties in speaking English faced by staff at the Bank NTB Syariah Sriwijaya branch include a lack of confidence, limited vocabulary, limited knowledge of grammar, and poor pronunciation. Furthermore, staff at the Bank NTB Syariah Sriwijayabranch overcome their difficulties with English by practicing independently, watching videos and listening to English songs, and writing down new vocabulary.The results of this research are expected to provide insights into improving speaking skills in professional settings, especially in the banking sector, and to serve as a reference for future research in similar contexts.
