Abstract

Modern Islamic educational institutions face complex challenges in the era of globalization and digitalization that demand professional and value-based institutional management. This study aims to examine the strategic position of school principals in developing student management and human resource management (HRM) in modern Islamic educational institutions through a library research approach. The findings reveal three main conclusions: first, school principals possess a multidimensional EMASLIM role grounded in Islamic values such as amanah, adalah, and syura; second, effective student management encompasses a holistic student affairs cycle integrating tarbiyah and ta'lim values at every stage; third, optimal HRM requires a comprehensive management cycle encompassing recruitment, competency development, academic supervision, and value-based performance evaluation. This study concludes that the integration of strategic principal leadership, structured student management, and value-based HRM constitutes an inseparable unified system in realizing modern Islamic educational institutions that are excellent and globally competitive.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the concept of parental affection in classical Islamic texts, despite its important role in shaping character within modern education. This study aims to examine the concept and forms of parental affection in the book Wasaya Al-Aba’ li Al-Abna’ and analyze its relevance to the Love-Based Curriculum. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research, with the primary data source derived from the work of Syaikh Muhammad Syakir and supported by relevant literature. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using thematic content analysis. The findings reveal that parental affection in the book is presented comprehensively, encompassing spiritual guidance, moral and character development, social ethics, and discipline through daily habituation. These values are not merely emotional expressions but are implemented through structured educational guidance. Furthermore, the findings indicate that these values are aligned with the principles of the Love-Based Curriculum, particularly in fostering empathy, emotional connection, and a humanistic learning environment. This study concludes that parental affection constitutes a fundamental and holistic approach to character formation. The implications of this research include theoretical contributions to the development of affection-based Islamic education and practical recommendations for educators to integrate empathy and compassion values into the learning process. Future research is suggested to explore the empirical implementation of these values in educational settings.

Abstract

Civic literacy is a valuable asset in facing the ever-changing advancements and changes of the times. Literacy refers to a process of personal and social transformation (Mohammad Ridwan Saidi, Supriyono, 2022). Civic literacy aligns with the actualization of the values of Pancasila. Pancasila must be implemented in every generation of the nation's behavior and must be actively involved in every aspect of national and state life (Anisa et al., 2021)). Furthermore, the current era of digital globalization has accelerated the transformation of information, which can lead to clashes between religions and cultures within a rapidly developing society. This issue can be addressed by developing cultural and civic literacy in the younger generation. This study used a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using statistical tests. The results showed that the civic literacy of students at SMA Negeri 1 Belawang was quite good, with an average score of 76.59 and a standard deviation of 7.67, indicating a relatively uniform level of student understanding. The implementation of students' rights and obligations also fell into the fairly good category, with an average score of 47.76 and a standard deviation of 5.54, indicating that most students are able to apply their rights and obligations in their daily lives. Furthermore, there was a significant and positive effect between civic literacy and the implementation of students' rights and obligations. This was evidenced by the t-test results, which showed a calculated t-value greater than the t-table (12.878 > 1.985) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Civic literacy contributed 63.6% to the implementation of students' rights and obligations, while the remaining 36.4% was influenced by factors outside the study. This study emphasizes the importance of improving civic literacy to encourage students to more optimally exercise their rights and obligations as citizens.

Abstract

Indonesia sits on the equator and receives some of the most abundant solar irradiation in the world, making Solar Power Plant (SPP) technology a natural fit for the country’s long-term energy strategy. Despite this geographic advantage, one persistent challenge remains: the shortage of technically skilled workers who can install, operate, and maintain SPP systems to industry standards. Vocational education institutions are expected to fill that gap, yet many still operate with laboratory facilities that are outdated, incomplete, and far removed from real working conditions. This study was conducted to address that issue by producing a Detail Engineering Design (DED) for a Teaching Factory-based SPP Laboratory at Politeknik Negeri Manado. The work was carried out using a descriptive engineering design approach, combining literature review, field observation at the campus Renewable Energy Laboratory, and regular supervisory consultations. The design covers load requirement analysis, component sizing for solar modules, Solar Charge Controller, lithium battery and hybrid inverter, electrical installation layout, protection system, Single-Line Diagram, and wiring diagram. The final product is a complete DED package comprising detailed engineering drawings, component specifications, Bill of Quantity, and construction cost estimates. A hybrid system configuration was chosen to ensure a stable power supply throughout laboratory sessions, using solar energy as the primary source with automatic switchover to battery storage or the PLN grid as backup.
