Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tuesday Literacy (SERASI) program at SMP Negeri 4 Lembang on the development of critical thinking and strengthening of students' civic skills through a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted using interview techniques, observation, and documentation with teachers and students. The results of the study indicate that the SERASI program is implemented through structured stages of independent reading, presentations, discussions, and reflection. These stages have proven effective in training students' abilities to focus on problems, construct logical arguments, and draw conclusions. The development of civic intellectual skills and civic participation skills is achieved in an integrated manner through the practice of analyzing social issues, deliberation, and the courage to voice opinions democratically. Operational obstacles such as academic anxiety and sanction-based pseudo-compliance were still found during the implementation. The findings of this study confirm the strategic function of the SERASI program as a significant contextual learning medium for shaping a culture of literacy while preparing critical, intelligent, and democratic citizens.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive student worksheets (LKPD) using the Liveworksheet platform for teaching advertisement text analysis to eighth-grade students. The research is grounded in several issues identified in classroom practice, including limited variation in existing worksheets, low student engagement, and the underutilization of digital technology in learning activities. This study employed a research and development (R&D) approach adapted from the Borg and Gall model, simplified into five stages: needs analysis, data collection, product design, validation, and revision. The subjects consisted of 32 students, one Indonesian language teacher, and two expert validators (material and media experts). Data were gathered through questionnaires, interviews, and validation sheets, and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative techniques with a Likert scale. The results indicate that the developed LKPD is categorized as highly feasible, achieving a validation score of 100% from the material expert and 95% from the media expert, with an overall average of 97.5%. The product demonstrates strong potential to enhance students’ motivation, participation, and analytical skills in understanding advertisement texts through interactive and technology-based learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of diagnostic assessments in identifying the learning interests of fourth-grade students in science education at SD 40/I Bajubang Laut. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation and in-depth interviews with the classroom teacher and six students selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate that students’ learning interests generally fall into the moderate category, accounting for 60%, with the dimensions of enjoyment and curiosity being relatively higher compared to the dimensions of attention and active engagement. The interviews revealed significant diversity in learning profiles, including active-enthusiastic students with low self-regulation, independent-inquisitive students with very high interest, and students with moderate interest who require more intensive scaffolding. The implementation of diagnostic assessments by teachers was found to remain informal and predominantly focused on the cognitive dimension, while non-cognitive diagnostic assessments to map interests and learning styles have not yet been formally and standardizedly implemented.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of digital marketing as a managerial strategy in strengthening institutional branding at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Mun’im. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through interviews, observations, and documentation involving public relations teams, teachers, students, and parents. The findings reveal that the utilization of digital platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and WhatsApp has formed a structured, consistent, and participatory communication ecosystem. The “one day, one upload” strategy enhances institutional visibility while shaping a positive public perception. Importantly, digital marketing functions not only as a promotional tool but also as a strategic instrument for constructing institutional identity, enhancing students’ self-awareness, and strengthening social relationships between the school and parents. The role of public relations as strategic communication managers is crucial in maintaining message consistency and institutional values. This study highlights that digital marketing contributes multidimensionally to institutional reputation, credibility, and organizational culture in educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of planting in pots activities on the scientific literacy of children aged 4-5 years in Smart School Kindergarten. The approach used is a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design. Pre-experimental uses a one group pretest-posttest model. The subjects of this study consisted of 17 children in group A. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Based on the results of the data analysis, the Z value was obtained at -3.741b with an Asymp, Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. The significance value is smaller than the specified significance level of 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of planting in pots activities on the scientific literacy of children aged 4-5 years in Smart School Kindergarten.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the contribution of teachers in enhancing students’ learning motivation at the elementary school level. Learning motivation is a crucial element that affects students’ success in achieving learning objectives. In addition to functioning as instructors, teachers also have strategic roles as motivators, facilitators, mentors, and classroom managers in creating an effective and enjoyable learning environment. This study employs a literature review method, which involves examining various sources such as books, academic journals, and previous studies related to this topic. Data collection is carried out through searching, classifying, and analyzing written sources relevant to the role of teachers and student motivation. The findings of this study indicate that the role of teachers has a significant impact on improving students’ learning motivation. Teachers can provide support, use varied teaching methods, and create a positive learning environment, which can enhance students’ interest, participation, and enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, optimizing the role of teachers is essential in improving students’ learning motivation in elementary schools through appropriate and innovative teaching strategies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on students’ learning outcomes and responses in computational thinking material in class VIII-C of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Samarinda. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study consisted of 37 students. Data collection techniques included tests (pretest and posttest) and student response questionnaires, while data analysis was conducted by calculating mean scores, N-Gain, and the percentage of student responses. The results showed an improvement in students’ learning outcomes, indicated by an increase in the average score from 75.95 in the pretest to 93.24 in the posttest. The N-Gain value of 0.58 was categorized as moderate with a fairly effective level. This improvement indicates that the implementation of the TGT model supported by question card media can help students better understand computational thinking material. In addition, the questionnaire results showed that students’ responses to the learning process were categorized as very positive, with a percentage of 89%. This indicates that students demonstrated high levels of interest, motivation, and engagement during the learning process. The use of question card media within the TGT model also contributed to creating a more active, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment. Therefore, the TGT learning model can be an effective alternative in improving students’ learning outcomes and responses in informatics learning, particularly in computational thinking material.

Abstract

Bullying remains a prevalent social problem in school environments, including at SMAN 09 Bombana, particularly affecting students with disabilities as a vulnerable group. Based on field observations and direct interactions, bullying occurs predominantly in verbal and social forms, often perceived as normal behavior among students. This study aims to identify the forms, impacts, and prevention efforts of bullying toward students with disabilities through socialization activities. The method used is a participatory counseling approach involving socialization, interactive discussions, case simulations, integration into classroom learning, and collaboration with the school and the Bombana Police Department. The results indicate that bullying still occurs in the form of mocking, negative labeling, excessive joking, and social exclusion. However, after the implementation of the program, there was a significant decrease in bullying cases and positive behavioral changes among students. Students demonstrated increased awareness, the ability to distinguish between jokes and bullying, improved empathy, and more inclusive social interactions. The involvement of teachers, parents, and the police contributed to strengthening both preventive and educational aspects, including legal awareness. Therefore, the socialization program is effective as an initial step in reducing bullying and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment. However, continuous and collaborative efforts are required to ensure sustainable prevention

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in fiqh learning for eleventh-grade students at MAN 1 Makassar City, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and analyze strategies used by teachers to overcome learning obstacles. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving fiqh teachers, students, and school administrators. The results showed that teachers played multiple roles, including educators, instructors, motivators, facilitators, and role models. Supporting factors include structured curriculum, teacher competence, and religious school activities, while inhibiting factors involve limited learning facilities and diverse student abilities. Teachers addressed these challenges through adaptive teaching strategies, optimizing learning media, and improving classroom management. This study highlights the importance of maximizing teacher roles to improve students’ understanding and practice of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Speaking is considered one of the most important language skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning because it enables students to express ideas and communicate effectively. However, many junior high school students still experience difficulties in developing speaking skills due to limited opportunities to use English in their learning environment. One important factor that supports language development is exposure to the target language. Therefore, this study aims to identify the types of English exposure used in speaking learning and examine how English exposure contributes to the development of junior high school students’ speaking skills. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze relevant previous studies related to English exposure and speaking skills. A total of 10 studies published between 2017 and 2026 were selected and analyzed based on specific inclusion criteria. The findings reveal that English exposure in speaking learning occurs through several instructional approaches, including role-play activities, technology-based learning media, and interactive classroom activities such as picture-based tasks and problem-based learning. These forms of exposure provide students with meaningful opportunities to practice speaking, increase their confidence, and improve their communication performance. Overall, the results indicate that English exposure plays a significant role in supporting the development of junior high school students’ speaking skills. Providing varied and meaningful exposure to English can help students develop greater confidence, fluency, and communicative competence in speaking.
