Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of boarding school management in improving student achievement at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Kinanah Jambi City. The research focuses on the management functions applied in the boarding school program, the outcomes achieved in improving students’ academic and non-academic achievements, as well as the obstacles and solutions encountered in its implementation. This study employed a qualitative research approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings revealed that the management of the boarding school at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Kinanah Jambi City has been implemented effectively through proper planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision. The planning process is reflected in the preparation of academic calendars, dormitory schedules, and standard operating procedures for students’ daily activities. The organizational structure is clearly arranged with well-defined duties and responsibilities. The implementation of the boarding school program runs according to schedule and supports the development of students’ discipline, religious character, and learning motivation. The results indicate that the boarding school program contributes significantly to improving student achievement both academically and non-academically. However, several obstacles were identified, including limited facilities, shortage of teaching staff, and constraints in extracurricular program development. Therefore, continuous improvement in management and infrastructure is necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the boarding school program.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of civic responsibility in Civic Education (PKn) through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The purpose of this study is to analyze how Civic Education contributes to the development of students’ civic responsibility, encompassing cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The study examined 15 national and international journal articles published between 2020 and 2025, sourced from Google Scholar and the SINTA-indexed database. The results indicate that PKn instruction employing active, contextual, and collaborative methods significantly strengthens students’ civic responsibility. The development of civic responsibility is most effective when Civic Education integrates values education with the development of practical citizenship competencies. This article provides implications for the development of more meaningful Civic Education learning strategies in schools.

Abstract

The formation of religious character in early childhood is the main foundation for building a generation of faith and piety. This study aims to describe: (1) the form of religious activity habituation programs, (2) program implementation mechanisms, and (3) the results of program implementation on the formation of children's religious character at RA Al Fatih Kuripan Sugihan, Cilacap Regency. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with field research. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with teachers and students. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the religious habituation program includes: daily manners assessment (including: reciting prayers before and after learning, before and after eating, saying greetings, shaking hands with teachers and peers), practical worship (including: wudhu practice, prayer practice, memorizing short surahs, and reading Iqra), and introduction to Arabic letters and exemplary stories (about prophets, figures, and kyai). The program is implemented routinely and consistently every day through habituation, exemplary, advice, and reward methods. The implementation is proven to be able to shape children's religious character as reflected in behavioral changes, increased discipline, and the formation of religious habits in daily life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of parental role models on the formation of students' religious character at Hasyim Asy'ari Vocational High School, Pucuk District, Lamongan Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression method. The study population was 83 students, while the sample was 69 students determined using the Slovin formula. Data collection methods were carried out through questionnaires, observation, and participation. The research instrument has undergone validity and reliability tests using IBM SPSS operations. The results of the validity test show that all specific statements have a significance value of 0.05. Simple linear regression analysis produces the equation Y = 20.770 + 0.698 X which indicates a positive influence between parental role models on students' religious character. The t-test results reached a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, therefore H1 is accepted. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.547 indicates that parental role models contribute 54.7% to the formation of students' religious character, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of parental role models in shaping students' religious character through the application of religious values ​​in everyday life.

Abstract

The role of the kiai in developing santri’s religious emotional intelligence and resilience is a significant research context, considering that the kiai is a central figure in pesantren life with strong influence on santri’s character formation. Through role modeling, habituation of worship practices, guidance, and daily mentoring, the kiai directs santri’s to manage emotions in a healthy and religiously grounded manner while building mental resilience against the pressures of pesantren life. This study aims to: (1) describe the kiai’s role at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hikmah Seblak Jombang; (2) analyze the kiai’s role in developing santri’s religious emotional intelligence and resilience; and (3) identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing that role. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Findings indicate that: first, the kiai performs multidimensional roles as educator, caregiver, role model, participative leader, and community unifier; second, the development of religious emotional intelligence and resilience is facilitated through muhasabah habituation, worship discipline, reinforcement of patience and tawakkal values, and sustained personal mentoring; third, the religiously conducive pesantren environment and kiai-administrator synergy are key enabling factors, while disparate student backgrounds, digital technology influences, and limited personal mentoring time constitute the main inhibiting factors. The kiai’s role is thus affirmed as a determining factor in shaping santri’s who are emotionally mature, mentally resilient, and religiously principled.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy and financial attitude on financial management behavior among Accounting Education students of Universitas Negeri Semarang class of 2022, with financial technology (fintech) as an intervening variable. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis through SmartPLS software. The population of this study consisted of 169 Accounting Education students, with 119 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to active students. The results showed that financial literacy and financial attitude had a positive and significant effect on students’ financial management. In addition, financial literacy and financial attitude also had a positive and significant effect on the use of fintech. Fintech was proven to have a positive and significant effect on financial management and was also able to mediate the relationship between financial literacy and financial attitude toward financial management behavior. These findings indicate that improving financial literacy and financial attitude, supported by the utilization of fintech, can strengthen students’ ability to manage their finances effectively in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile through multidisciplinary synergy based on digital transformation in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMAN 2 Bone. The Pancasila Student Profile serves as an important foundation in shaping students who are characterized, creative, independent, critical thinkers, and capable of adapting to the development of digital technology. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school stakeholders participating in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The results of the study indicate that multidisciplinary synergy through the integration of various subjects and the utilization of digital technology can enhance students’ engagement in the learning process. The implementation of digital transformation was carried out through the use of interactive learning media, digital platforms, and collaborative projects that support the strengthening of the values of the Pancasila Student Profile. In addition, the application of project-based learning in the Merdeka Curriculum encourages students to become more active, innovative, and capable of critical thinking in solving problems. Therefore, strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile through multidisciplinary synergy based on digital transformation can be an effective strategy to improve the quality of education and to shape students’ character in accordance with the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between internal locus of control and career maturity through the mediating variable of self-efficacy. The low level of students’ career maturity in the aspects of career planning, exploration, and decision-making served as the background for this study. The research approach was quantitative correlation, with a sample of 11th-grade students from two private vocational high schools in the Central and East Semarang selected through cluster random sampling. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was then performed using the SPSS PROCCES HAYES. The results of the analysis indicate that internal locus of control has a positive and significant influence on self-efficacy and career maturity (β = 0.6372; t = 5.350; p = 0.000 < 0.01), (β = 1.5535; t = 8.0597; p = 0.000 < 0.01). Testing the mediating effect via the self-efficacy variable also yielded non-significant results (LLCI = -0.0085; ULCI = 0.3477). Keywords: Internal Locus of Control, Self-efficacy, Career Maturity ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis hubungan internal locus of control dengan kematangan karier melalui variabel mediasi self-efficacy. Rendahnya tingkat kematangan karier siswa dalam aspek perencanaan, eksplorasi, dan pengambilan keputusan karier menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Pendekatan penelitian adalah kuantitatif korelasi, dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI dari dua SMK swasta di kecamatan Semarang Tengah dan Timur melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner yang sudah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Lalu, analisis data menggunakan regresi dan uji mediasi dengan bantuan SPSS PROCCES Hayes. Hasil analisis menunjukkan internal locus of control memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan dengan self-efficacy dan kematangan karier, secara berturut-turut dapat dilihat dari nilai (β = 0,6372; t = 5,350; p = 0,000 < 0,01), (β = 1,5535; t = 8,0597; p = 0,000 < 0,01). Sedangkan, self-efficacy dengan kematangan karier menunjukkan hasil tidak signifikan (β = 0,2206; t = 1,62338; p = 0,1065 > 0,01). Kemudian, pengujian efek jalur mediasi melalui variabel self-efficacy juga menunjukkan hasil yang tidak signifikan (LLCI = -0,0085; ULCI = 0,3477). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of extracurricular programs in improving the non-academic achievements of students at SMP Negeri 3 Pelepat Ilir. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation with research subjects including the principal, vice principal for student affairs, extracurricular mentor teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the management of the extracurricular program has been implemented through the stages of planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring. Extracurricular activities implemented include sports, arts, and scouting as a forum for developing student interests and talents. However, the implementation of the extracurricular program has not been fully optimal so that the non-academic achievements of students still fluctuate from year to year. Supporting factors include school support, competent mentors, and student participation, while inhibiting factors include limited facilities and infrastructure, lack of training intensity, and declining student motivation. Therefore, a more structured and sustainable management of the extracurricular program is needed to be able to optimally improve the non-academic achievements of students

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Arabic language teaching program at Ma'had Hidayatullah Batu based on the CIPP evaluation model. The CIPP evaluation model focuses on four aspects; 1) context evaluation 2) input evaluation 3) process evaluation 4) outcome evaluation. The type of approach used is qualitative descriptive evaluative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the data analysis technique according to Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results of this study indicate that, based on; 1) context evaluation, running according to the vision and mission of the school in creating a safe, comfortable, and ideal atmosphere and environment for Arabic language teaching. 2) input evaluation, Arabic language teaching at Ma'had Hidayatullah Batu is supported by adequate input, both from human resources and supporting facilities. 3) process evaluation, there are challenges in practice, such as students who tend to be passive and lack confidence. 4) Evaluation of Arabic language teaching outcomes at Ma'had Hidayatullah Batu shows that students have achieved the highest level of teaching. By the end of the teaching period, some students' language skills, particularly speaking and writing, still needed improvement. This is due to the teaching method, which requires a continuous process and time to develop creativity, communication skills, and thinking abilities.
