Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the implementation of the role playing method can increase students' concentration in civics learning at SMAN 1 Blega. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with 32 students from class XI as research subjects. Data collection techniques include observation through teaching module implementation sheets and student learning concentration questionnaires. The results indicate that the implementation of the PKn teaching module using the role-playing method is in the "good" category with an 80% percentage. The highest indicator is the teacher's ability to respond to student questions, reaching 100%, while the lowest indicators relate to initial motivation, aperception, and linking material to social life, each achieving 70%. Meanwhile, students' learning concentration reaches 88%, which is in the "very good" category. The five highest concentration aspects achieve 91%, including attention to teacher explanations, resilience against distractions, focus during discussions, attention during role-playing, and seriousness in participation. The relatively lower aspects are the ability to focus attention when the teacher asks questions (83%) and the ability to avoid other thoughts during learning (80%), both of which remain in the "good" category. This research concludes that the role-playing method is effective in improving the quality of lesson implementation while enhancing student concentration, particularly on PKn material about the formulation of Pancasila in the BPUPKI session. Students demonstrated the ability to maintain focus throughout the learning process, follow activities well, and actively participate in role-playing. Thus, the application of the role-playing method in PKn learning provides tangible support for students to be more focused, active, and enthusiastic in engaging in the teaching and learning process, making learning more meaningful, contextual, and enjoyable.

Abstract

Sport not only functions as a physical activity but also plays a vital role in social life. From a sociological perspective, sport serves as a means of social interaction that fosters cooperation, a sense of togetherness, and social solidarity between individuals and groups. This study aims to analyze the role of sport in fostering social solidarity through a literature review approach. The method used is a literature review, compiling various sources, including books and scientific journals, relevant to the sociology of sport and social solidarity. The results indicate that sporting activities can strengthen social relationships, enhance sportsmanship, foster a sense of unity, and foster positive social interactions within the community. Furthermore, both traditional and modern sports play a role in maintaining cultural values and strengthening relationships between social groups. Thus, sport plays a significant role in building social solidarity and creating a more harmonious community life.

Abstract

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a strategic instrument for systematically and sustainably improving teacher professionalism. CPD emphasizes not only pedagogical competence but also professional, social, and personal competencies, enabling teachers to adapt to changes in 21st-century education. The integration of CPD with technology-based learning innovations has been shown to increase the effectiveness of the learning process, teacher creativity, and student motivation. However, the implementation of CPD in Indonesia still faces various obstacles, including high teacher workloads, low digital literacy, lack of institutional support, limited implementation time, and low teacher self-confidence. This study uses a qualitative approach through a literature review to analyze the concept, implementation, challenges, and solutions of CPD integrated with learning innovations. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of systematic strategies including structured CPD planning, optimizing teacher time, strengthening digital literacy, integrating CPD with learning innovations, increasing policy support, enhancing teacher self-confidence, and continuous monitoring and evaluation can overcome obstacles to CPD implementation. Thus, PKB can be implemented effectively, improving teacher professionalism, encouraging creativity, and producing more innovative learning according to student needs.

Abstract

In order to understand student centered learning, this study looks at the significance of curriculum organization and its parts. The issue found is that learning in Indonesia is still teacher centered, which leads to poor student engagement. The goal of this study is to examine how the curriculum structure and its components, such as goals, content, methods, and assessment, promote student centered learning. Using a literature review technique, this study takes a qualitative approach by examining journals, books, and prior research. The results show that curriculum organizations such as separated curriculum, correlated curriculum, broadfields curriculum, and integrated curriculum support active learning. Curriculum components also play important roles in increasing student activeness. Clear objectives develop critical thinking skills, relevant content improves learning motivation, and student centered methods such as project based learning encourage active knowledge construction. Process oriented evaluation also provides comprehensive feedback on student learning development. However, student centered learning still faces obstacles such as dense curricula, limited teacher understanding, inadequate facilities, and changing educational policies. Therefore, well designed curriculum organization and integrated curriculum components are essential in creating effective, innovative, and student centered learning.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media has transformed digital journalism practices, especially regarding the use of viral content as an initial source of information. Popmama.com as a parenting media platform requires a selective editorial strategy to ensure viral issues remain relevant to the needs of Millennial and Gen Z mothers. This study aims to analyze the use of viral social media news as news material at Popmama.com. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method was employed to understand the editorial process carried out by the newsroom. Data collection used in-depth interviews, article observation, documentation, and literature study. Research informants consisted of Senior Editors, Editors, Senior Creative Writers, and Creative Writers at Popmama.com. Findings show that the newsroom utilizes TikTok, Instagram, Google Trends, and other analytical tools to monitor viral issues. News processing includes issue selection, fact verification, contextual information enrichment, educational article writing, and editing based on journalistic principles to maintain information quality and the characteristics of digital parenting media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of slang language in educational content on TikTok through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data were collected from various relevant scholarly articles published within the last five years and processed using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that slang in educational content appears in several forms such as abbreviations, acronyms, and loanwords from foreign languages, which are employed to enhance the appeal and effectiveness of material delivery. The use of slang has been shown to increase learning interest, facilitate comprehension, and create closeness between content creators and audiences. Nevertheless, negative impacts were also identified, including a decline in formal language proficiency and the mixing of language registers. Therefore, slang usage must be managed wisely in educational contexts to ensure it continues to support the quality of the Indonesian language. The role of educators is crucial in guiding students to balance informal and formal language use.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of positive and negative criticism and analyze the politeness strategies used by the audience in responding to the film "Merah Putih: One for All" on TikTok social media. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a pragmatic approach. The research data consisted of netizens' comments collected through observation and note-taking techniques, then analyzed using Brown and Levinson's politeness theory. The results showed a polarization of audience responses. Positive criticism tends to focus on ideological aspects, nationalism, and moral messages with a dominance of positive politeness strategies to build solidarity. Conversely, negative criticism dominates discussions on visual technical aspects, asset originality, and marketing, which are often conveyed using bald on record strategies and off-record strategies in the form of sarcasm and humor. This phenomenon indicates that the context of TikTok social media encourages the use of direct and entertaining language styles in conveying film criticism.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of the Team Pair Solo strategy in cooperative learning on light refraction material. This research used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 28 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri in Surabaya. Data were collected through tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed that the data were normally distributed based on the Shapiro-Wilk test. The N-Gain analysis showed an increase in students’ learning outcomes in the medium to high category. In addition, the implementation of learning was categorized as very good, and students gave positive responses to the learning process. Therefore, the Team Pair Solo strategy effectively improves students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the imla’ method in improving the Arabic writing skills of students at Pondok Pesantren Tahfizhul Qur’an An-Nahl Grabag Magelang. The background of this study is the limited ability of students to write Arabic accurately. The study aims to describe the implementation process of the imla’ method and to analyze its effectiveness in enhancing students’ Arabic writing skills. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the imla’ method, which consists of listening, writing, and evaluation stages, has a positive impact on improving students’ ability to write Arabic accurately. However, several challenges were identified during its implementation, including limited instructional time and differences in students’ educational backgrounds. The implications of this study suggest that the imla’ method can serve as an effective alternative for improving Arabic writing skills when implemented in accordance with students’ learning needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of web-based learning models (e-learning) in elementary schools and examine their effectiveness in improving student engagement and learning quality. The study was motivated by the increasing need for digital transformation in elementary education. This research employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data sources consisted of national and international journal articles related to e-learning implementation in elementary schools published between 2020–2026. Data collection techniques were conducted through documentation and literature review, while data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that web-based learning contributes positively to students’ learning engagement, independence, participation, and digital literacy skills. Interactive content and multimedia-based platforms provide more meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, web-based learning can serve as an effective alternative in supporting learning activities in elementary schools.
