Abstract

Choosing a major is an important decision in higher education because it influences students’ learning motivation and academic achievement. A mismatch between a student’s major and their interests, talents, and abilities may lead to academic demotivation. This study aims to examine the effect of major mismatch on academic demotivation among students at Jakarta State University. A quantitative survey method was employed involving 31 active students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that major mismatch has a positive and significant effect on academic demotivation (p < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.765. These findings suggest that major mismatch substantially contributes to academic demotivation among university students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the concept of knowledge, the classification of knowledge, and the integration of religious knowledge in the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali, as well as to examine their relevance for the development of contemporary Islamic education. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach, using Al-Ghazali’s works and scholarly literature on his thought as the main data sources. Data were collected through literature review, critical reading, and note-taking on texts related to the concept of knowledge, the classification of knowledge, and the relationship between religious and other forms of knowledge, and were then analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques. The findings indicate that Al-Ghazali views knowledge as a light that God casts into the human heart and as a path to ultimate truth, so that the nobility of knowledge is measured by the extent to which it leads a person to ma‘rifatullah, purification of the soul, and righteous deeds. Knowledge is classified into fard ‘ayn and fard kifayah, and is also differentiated based on its sources (al-‘ulum al-shar‘iyyah and al-‘ulum al-‘aqliyyah) and its ethical value (virtuous, permissible, and blameworthy knowledge). Within an integrative framework, Al-Ghazali asserts that all true knowledge ultimately originates from God and returns to Him; theological knowledge (tauhid) occupies the highest position as an orienting framework, while other disciplines—including the natural and social sciences—are regarded as part of fard kifayah that must not be neglected as long as they are directed toward public benefit and the strengthening of faith. These findings are relevant for formulating models of Islamic education that no longer dichotomize between religious and secular sciences, but instead unify them under a single value orientation grounded in tauhid and moral formation.

Abstract

This research's objective is to look into how consumers' social media marketing activities affect consumer-based brand equity by using brand experience as a mediating factor and co-creation activity as a moderator variable. The Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) theory, which holds that The internal state of a person is impacted by outside stimuli prior to conduct, serves as the foundation for this study. In this study, consumer-based brand equity is the reaction, brand experience is the organism, and social media marketing activities are the stimulus. A quantitative approach was implemented by surveying 100 active TikTok users who had seen and utilized Scarlett products. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze the data using path analysis, the Sobel mediation test, and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) To assess the measurement model and structural model concurrently, including mediation and moderation tests. The results of the study demonstrate that consumer-based brand equity and brand experience are impacted by perceived social media marketing efforts. Additionally, The correlation between consumer-based brand equity and social media marketing actions was found to be mediated by brand experience. Additionally, co-creation behavior increases the impact of social media marketing on the brand experience. The results show that interactive marketing strategies that promote user involvement on TikTok can improve user-based brand equity and improve the brand experience. In the context of digital marketing, this work contributes theoretically to the development of the SOR model. Additionally, it provides useful guidance for businesses as they create consumer-focused social media strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to test the significance of the influence of the implementation of Pancasila Education learning based on the Independent Curriculum on student discipline in obeying the rules at Tri Jaya Medan Middle School. Using a quantitative correlational approach with an Ex-Post Facto explanatory design, this study included the entire active population through a total sampling technique of 98 students. Primary data collection was executed through a Likert-scale questionnaire instrument (28 valid and reliable items; α> 0.800), supported by triangulation of field observation methods and documentation extraction. The results of the statistical prerequisite test confirmed that the distribution of residual data was normally distributed (Asymp. Sig. Kolmogorov-Smirnov 0.897> 0.05) and had a linear line projection (Sig. Deviation from Linearity 0.362> 0.05). Simple linear regression analysis produced a deterministic formulation Y = 10.245 + 0.784X. Partial hypothesis testing (t-test) convincingly rejects and accepts , as evidenced by the calculated t_ratio (8.790) exceeding the t_table (1.984) at an absolute significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The recorded coefficient of determination () value of 0.446 indicates that the pedagogical quality intervention provides a causal contribution of 44.6% to fluctuations in student discipline compliance, while the residual margin of 55.4% is explained by external sociological determinants beyond the model's scope. This study concludes that the adoption of participatory methods such as Project Citizen and the optimization of educators' role models have successfully reconstructed the student paradigm; changing obedience based on coercive fear into an autonomous constitutional awareness that values the protection of Human Rights (HAM).This study aims to test the significance of the influence of the implementation of Pancasila Education learning based on the Independent Curriculum on student discipline in obeying the rules at Tri Jaya Medan Middle School. Abstract

Changes in Generation Z’s digital media consumption patterns have created a growing demand for information that is concise, accessible, and easy to understand. This trend presents a challenge for the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), which primarily disseminates scientific information through long-form YouTube content such as webinars, talk shows, documentaries, and podcasts. This study aims to identify Generation Z’s digital content consumption patterns, design an educational clip format that aligns with their media preferences, and describe the content development process implemented on BRIN’s YouTube channel. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, active participation, and discussions conducted during an internship program at BRIN TV. The findings indicate that many long-form videos on BRIN’s YouTube channel contain valuable segments that can be repackaged into concise and engaging educational clips. These educational clips serve as a communication adaptation strategy by presenting scientific information in a format that better suits Generation Z’s media consumption habits while maintaining the integrity and substance of the original content.
