Abstract

Numeracy competence is one of the fundamental skills that elementary school students must develop to support problem solving in everyday life. However, numeracy instruction on whole number concepts in Grade V continues to face several challenges, including low student participation in learning activities, limited peer interaction, and the suboptimal use of instructional media. These conditions have resulted in numeracy activities that have not yet reached the expected level. This study aimed to improve students' whole number numeracy activities through the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model assisted by the Smart Number Board. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles involving 17 Grade V students of SD Negeri Gadang 2 Malang during the 2025/2026 academic year. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observations of students' numeracy activities and documentation. The findings revealed that the average numeracy activity increased from 56.43% in the pre-cycle to 73.21% in Cycle I and further improved to 88.57% n Cycle II. These results indicate that the implementation of the STAD learning model assisted by the Smart Number Board effectively enhanced students' engagement in whole number numeracy learning. Therefore, the STAD model integrated with the Smart Number Board can serve as an effective instructional alternative for improving numeracy activities among elementary school students.

Abstract

Wayang Potehi is a traditional Chinese puppet performance art that has developed in East Java and undergone various social, cultural, and political dynamics, resulting in the formation of a new identity. This study aims to analyze the process of cultural acculturation between Chinese and Javanese cultures, as well as the forms of cultural politics that have shaped the performative hybrid identity of Wayang Potehi performances in East Java. This research employed a qualitative approach using a socio-anthropological literary perspective. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with sehu (puppet masters), performing artists, community leaders, and document and performance script analysis. Data were analyzed inductively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while source triangulation was employed to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that the acculturation process occurs through cultural hybridity and adaptive dynamics, as reflected in the involvement of Javanese sehu, the use of multilingual languages, changes in performance contexts, and the incorporation of local legends into the performances. The cultural politics of Wayang Potehi are represented through cultural dominance, hidden transcript practices, identity negotiation, and social acceptance, which collectively give rise to a new performative hybrid identity.

Abstract

This study offers a novelty in the form of the Pancasila Digital Ethics (PDE) conceptual framework, formulated from the synergy of three Merdeka Curriculum instruments: the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), the Student Centered Learning (SCL) approach, and the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile as an integrated moral defense system for students in the digital era. Unlike previous studies that examined these aspects separately, this research integrates them into a cohesive model operationalizable as a curriculum implementation evaluation instrument. The qualitative library research method employs descriptive-analytical analysis in three stages: data reduction, conceptual synthesis, and framework construction. Three main findings emerge: (1) P5 flexibility operates as a value contextualization mechanism that actively translates Pancasila principles into concrete responses to real digital challenges; (2) SCL builds critical reasoning not merely as a cognitive competency but as an intrinsic digital filter working autonomously without external oversight a new conceptualization surpassing previous studies; and (3) the six Pancasila Student Profile dimensions operate as an integrated moral compass system with layered functions foundation, moderation, actualization, regulation, filter, and transformation producing ethically resilient digital agents. These findings are synthesized into the PDE Framework offering dual contributions: theoretically enriching character education discourse grounded in national cultural values, and practically providing an operationalized instrument for evaluating Merdeka Curriculum implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize students’ kinesthetic intelligence through the Pos-to-Pos method to increase student activeness in Social Studies (IPS) learning, focusing on financial literacy and community empowerment. The gap between the dominantly kinesthetic learning style of junior high school students and the theoretical demands of IPS content, combined with the reliance on conventional lecturing, has resulted in low physical, verbal, mental, and emotional activeness. The Pos-to-Pos method adapts the tactical procedure of Scout activities into four learning posts: Pasar Transaksi (financial institution role play), Sandi Prioritas (budget and priority-scale management), Aksi Pemberdayaan (community problem-solving project), and Juru Hitung and Refleksi (concept puzzle and self-reflection). This research used a Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design involving 32 seventh-grade students with a dominant kinesthetic learning profile. Data were collected through a multiple-choice cognitive test and an observation rubric of student activeness. The average learning activity score increased significantly from 52.34 (quite active) to 78.56 (active), with a t-value of 15.23 (p < 0.01). Posttest results showed that 60% of students successfully achieved the high activity category. The highest increase occurred in the physical dimension (N-gain = 0.72) and the emotional dimension (N-gain = 0.68). Observation data also indicated a marked increase in physical, verbal, mental, and emotional engagement across the four posts. It is concluded that the Pos-to-Pos method is effective in optimizing kinesthetic intelligence and increasing student activeness in IPS learning.
