Abstract

The low level of students’ imaginative creativity in learning is often caused by the limited use of interactive learning media, especially in learning human anatomy which tends to be abstract. This study aims to develop MediVerse Anatomy learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) and gamification to improve students’ imaginative creativity. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects were fourth-grade students at SDN Inpres Rabakodo, involving 39 students in the implementation stage. Data were collected through observation, validation sheets, questionnaires, and pretest-posttest instruments. The results showed that the developed media was highly feasible with an average validation score of 88,75%. The effectiveness test indicated a moderate improvement with an N-Gain value of 0.62 and a significant difference between pretest and posttest results (p < 0.05). In addition, the practicality level reached 92.56% in the very practical category. These findings indicate that the integration of AR and gamification in MediVerse Anatomy can enhance students’ engagement, understanding, and imaginative creativity.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural nation whose cultural diversity constitutes both a national identity and an important foundation for character education. Nevertheless, cultural learning in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is still predominantly delivered through conventional approaches that have not fully facilitated the internalization of the philosophical values embedded in local cultures. This study aimed to describe the process of internalizing the cultural philosophy of North Sumatra through mural artwork to foster children's appreciation of Indonesia's cultural diversity. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed at PAUD Balqis. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and documentation of mural-based learning activities. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data credibility was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the murals represent North Sumatran cultural philosophy through illustrations of traditional houses, traditional costumes, children's figures, and cultural landscapes that embody the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, tolerance, respect, and social harmony. The internalization process occurred through observation, guided interpretation, and the contextualization of cultural values into children's daily experiences. Observation, interview, and documentation data further indicate that mural-based learning encouraged children's appreciation of Indonesia's cultural diversity, reflected in their increased curiosity about cultural differences, improved ability to recognize diverse cultural identities, and growing attitudes of respect toward diversity. These findings demonstrate that mural artwork grounded in local cultural philosophy can serve as an effective contextual learning medium for strengthening multicultural character education in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the impact of using dakon media on the mathematical reasoning abilities of class X students of MA Al Maliki Sukodono. In addition to testing the significance of the influence, the researcher also measured the extent of improvement in students' abilities after using this concrete manipulative media. The main problem in this study is the difficulty of students in understanding the arithmetic operations of arithmetic sequences, especially in determining the formula for the nth term and drawing logical mathematical conclusions. Methodologically, the researcher used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The research design applied the Posttest-Pretest Non-Equivalent Control Group model. The researcher determined the sample using a purposive sampling technique consisting of two classes. Class X-A with 19 students became the control class who learned with the conventional lecture method. Class X-B with 19 students became the experimental class who learned using dakon media. The researcher collected data through mathematical reasoning essay tests and student response questionnaires which were proven to be valid and reliable. The data analysis of this research used the nonparametric Mann-Whitney test and N-Gain index analysis. The results of the data analysis showed two important findings that complement each other. The Mann-Whitney test yielded a significance value of 0.755. This value is greater than the 0.05 significance level (0.755 > 0.05), so the researchers accepted the null hypothesis (H0) and rejected the alternative hypothesis (H1). This statistical finding proves that there is no significant difference in final scores directly between the control and experimental classes. Meanwhile, the N-Gain index test showed a significant difference in learning ability growth descriptively. The control class only recorded an average N-Gain of 0.03, which is considered low. The experimental class using dakon media achieved an average N-Gain of 0.41, which is considered moderate. Questionnaire response data supported these results by showing that students became more active and understood the material on arithmetic sequences more easily through dakon visualization. The researchers concluded that learning with dakon media was far more effective in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities than conventional lecture methods.

Abstract

The low level of entrepreneurial interest among vocational high school students has become a significant issue, as it contributes to the high unemployment rate among vocational school graduates. Meanwhile, entrepreneurship education in schools is still predominantly delivered through lecture-based methods that provide limited opportunities for active student engagement. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the entrepreneurial interest of eleventh-grade students at Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational High School Pekanbaru. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The participants consisted of 25 students in the experimental group and 23 students in the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, an independent samples t-test, N-Gain analysis, and the coefficient of determination. The findings revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a t-value of 5.568. The experimental group achieved a higher mean entrepreneurial interest score (79.52) than the control group (68.65). Furthermore, the experimental group obtained an N-Gain score of 40.53% (moderate category), which was substantially higher than that of the control group (1.47%, low category). The coefficient of determination indicated that the PjBL model contributed 65.9% to students' entrepreneurial interest. These findings suggest that the Project-Based Learning model has a positive and significant effect on students' entrepreneurial interest and is therefore recommended as an effective instructional strategy for fostering entrepreneurial interest among vocational high school students.
