Abstract

This study analyzes the habituation and role modeling strategies employed by teachers to instill character values at SD Budi Murni 1 Medan. The habituation strategies encompass reinforcing religious values, discipline, responsibility, environmental care, and honesty through structured and consistent daily routines and activities. Teachers not only teach character values theoretically but also exemplify them as living models for students to observe and emulate. Teacher role modeling, both in daily behavior and consistency between words and actions, plays a crucial role in shaping students' character. The results show that the combination of habituation strategies and teacher role modeling effectively cultivates religious, disciplined, responsible, environmentally conscious, and honest character traits among students. This approach educates not only through instruction but also holistically internalizes character values into students’ everyday lives.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the significance of Pancasila principles to students who are in third grade at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bangkalan by using Genially, an interactive web-based learning platform. The background of this study is the persistent problem that students have with understanding of Pancasila values, mostly memorizing them rather than internalizing them in their daily lives. A quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, data were collected through tests, documentation, and observation. Purposive sampling was used to choose class III A students for the sample. Student’s scores before and after the intervention were compared statistically using the. With rising and result showing a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, the results demonstrated a significant increase in the learning outcomes of the pupils. This demonstrates that students' comprehension of Pancasila was positively and statistically significantly impacted by the use of Genially. study's findings, Genially is a successful teaching tool that improves motivation, engagement, and conceptual learning. As a result, it supports the use of digital technology in primary-level civic education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Powtoon animated video media on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of local cultural diversity in Grade IV at SDN 165 Palembang. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 49 students divided into an experimental class and a control class, selected using total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using an essay test consisting of five validated questions. The data collection techniques included administering pretests and posttests, as well as documentation of learning activities. Data analysis techniques included the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, variance homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant difference between the posttest scores of the experimental class and the control class. The average posttest score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Powtoon animated video media has a positive effect on students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa dalam kondisi keaktifan belajar siswa SDN 230 Palembang sekarang mengalami peningkatan terutama pada proses pembelajaran yang diterapkan dalam metode berdeferensiasi, membuat anak – anak lebih banyak berinovasi dan berkreasi saat melakukan proses pembelajaran dikelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa saat melakukan proses pembelajaran dikelas melalui metode berdefrensiasi ini pada siswa kelas 1B SD Negeri 230 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan Teknik pengambilan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini bahwa dengan menggunakan metode berdeferensiasi dapat melihat hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas dengan kategori baik.

Abstract

Fourth-grade students aged 7–11 are in the concrete operational stage, making it easier for them to understand mathematical concepts through real-life experiences. However, the teaching methods applied have not sufficiently incorporated hands-on activities, resulting in low interest and poor learning outcomes. This study aimed to implement the experiential learning model using illustrated dice media to improve cognitive learning outcomes at SDN Pulutan 02. This Classroom Action Research adopted the Initial Reflection model by Rustiyarso and Tri Wijaya, involving 11 students as subjects. Data were collected through tests and interviews. The results showed an increase in the average score from 69 in Cycle I to 79 in Cycle II, and classical mastery from 65% to 82%. Improvements were observed in the aspects of understanding, application, analysis, and creation, although evaluation still required guidance. The process also enhanced students’ engagement, curiosity, and collaboration, and helped them understand data presentation in real-life contexts. This model is recommended for use in other learning contexts, accompanied by reflection activities to strengthen evaluative skills and connect material to students’ everyday experiences.

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce interactive learning media based on local wisdom of Palembang city on cultural wealth material that is valid, practical, and effective for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 6 Palembang. The methodology used in this study is the type of Research and Development (RnD) research, using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The population in this study were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Palembang. The sample in this study was 25 students of class IV.B. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. This study produced interactive multimedia learning media based on the local wisdom of Palembang city. Data analysis techniques were carried out by analyzing validity, practicality and effectiveness. Based on the results of the study, data analysis can be proven through the results of the validity assessment on the media validation aspect which obtained a percentage of 93.7%, on the material validation aspect obtained a percentage of 93.7%, and on the language validation aspect obtained a percentage of 94%, with the category "Very Valid" for use. Furthermore, the results of the practicality assessment of the teacher response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 95%, and the final results of the student response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 97% with the category "Very Practical" to use. Then the results of the effectiveness assessment with the N-gain score obtained a value of 0.7648 with the criteria of "High" and the results of the N-gain percent obtained a value of 76.4783 with the criteria of "Effective" so that this product is worthy of use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Make A Match learning model assisted by Wordwall media on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in mathematics at SD Negeri 104217 Sidomulyo for the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research approach. To collect data, the instruments used were 5 essay test questions and a 30-item questionnaire. The sample consisted of 32 students, selected using total sampling technique. To assess students’ initial abilities, a pretest was conducted with an average score of 28, which falls into the "poor" category. The results showed an improvement in the posttest scores, with an average score of 83, classified as "very good." It can be concluded that the students’ learning outcomes improved significantly with the implementation of the Make A Match learning model assisted by Wordwall media. This was supported by the correlation coefficient test result of 0.764 ≥ 0.349, indicating a strong correlation. Furthermore, the hypothesis test yielded a t-count value of 6.492, while the t-table value was 1.694. Since 6.492 ≥ 1.694, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Based on the t-test, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive effect of the Make A Match learning model assisted by Wordwall media (X) on students’ critical thinking skills (Y).

Abstract

Engagement from students was low, with many students still selective in choosing friends in social settings and showing little interest in making new friends. The low academic achievement of the students, largely due to their lack of focus in class and their perception of math as an uneasy and boring subject, provided additional context for the research. In view of this, a two-cycle phased classroom action research project with two meetings was conducted. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Grade IV students of SD Negeri Mertasinga 07 became the subject of this study, which aimed to improve their math learning and gotong royong attitude. Data was collected using questionnaires, assessment sheets, and observation sheets. The results showed that gotong royong improved in both cycles. During cycle II, the mean score of cooperative attitude increased from 2.18 in cycle I to 2.84. Students' math learning achievement increased in each cycle. The learning achievement level in the first cycle was 55.17% (or an average of 69.13 points), while in the second cycle it reached 94.82% (or an average of 84.65 points). The increase in academic achievement was 39.65 percent.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) yang dikombinasikan dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V SDN Bondongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design dan melibatkan dua kelas, yaitu Kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas VC sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan rata-rata nilai posttest dari 45,19 menjadi 70,00 dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 45,54% (kategori sedang), sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya mengalami peningkatan dari 47,31 menjadi 56,15 dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 18,31% (kategori rendah). Uji hipotesis menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,008 (< 0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL berbasis TaRL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, integrasi pendekatan TaRL dan model PBL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Self harm is a behavior of intentionally hurting oneself without the intention of ending one's life, which is often found among adolescents. This study aims to describe the forms of negative interactions towards oneself and explore the relationship between these interactions and the emergence of self harm behavior in adolescents. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method. The subjects of the study were two people, namely Vely (19 years old) who had a history of self harm by hitting her own head, and Anna (22 years old) who committed self harm by scratching her hands using sharp objects. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically. The results of the study showed that the forms of negative interactions towards oneself in both subjects included excessive self-blame, feeling useless, and having a need to punish oneself. The initial trigger for the emergence of self harm urges is emotional stress that is not channeled healthily, such as feelings of failure, loneliness, social conflict, and lack of emotional support from the environment. Self harm behavior appears as a form of maladaptive emotional coping mechanism. This finding is supported by Carl Rogers' self theory and the concept of self-discrepancy which explains the importance of unconditional acceptance in forming a positive self-concept. This study recommends the importance of psychosocial support and an empathetic approach in preventing and dealing with self harm behavior in adolescents.
