Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of the principal's managerial system on the external quality assurance system (accreditation) at SDN Tembulun 2. Education quality assurance is a systematic and sustainable process that aims to improve the quality of education through the evaluation of various aspects of the school, such as curriculum, teaching, and student learning outcomes. The principal has an important role in the implementation of the managerial system which involves planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating. This study uses a correlational survey method to identify the relationship between the managerial system and accreditation results. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and document studies from principals and related staff. The results show that a good managerial system significantly affects the aspects of school input, process, and output. Effective management helps schools in meeting the set accreditation standards, including in the management of human resources, teaching, and infrastructure. These findings emphasize the importance of the role of the principal as a manager in ensuring that the school can meet the external quality assurance criteria. In conclusion, the managerial ability of school principals directly contributes to the achievement of good accreditation, so it is necessary to increase the managerial competence of school principals in an effort to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Curiosity plays a crucial role in children’s cognitive development, supporting exploration, creativity, and learning. However, low curiosity can hinder academic performance and reduce learning motivation. This research aims to develop a Project-Based Learning (PBL) textbook on the theme of clothing civilization to enhance curiosity in children aged 10 to 12. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, ten certified elementary school teachers from different regions participated in the needs analysis, and ten validators served as expert reviewers. A group of students also participated in a limited trial of the textbook on clothing civilization. The study’s findings reveal that: 1) The ADDIE model effectively guided the creation of a textbook aimed at fostering curiosity; 2) The textbook’s quality was rated “Very Good,” scoring an average of 3.57 out of 4, with no revisions needed; and 3) The textbook significantly impacted curiosity development (p < 0.05) with a large effect size (r = 0.91), equating to an 85% effectiveness rate. The effectiveness level is categorized as high, with an N gain score of 97.437%.   Keywords: clothing civilization, project based learning, curiosity

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN Panimbangjaya 5, Pandeglang Regency for data collection, findings and results. In an effort to face the challenges of the 21st century, the existence of religious character education is needed to overcome the moral crisis and rampant forms of misappropriation. The implementation of religious character education is a foundation in filtering values that tend to be morally opposite. This study aims to discuss the urgency of implementing religious character education for elementary school-age children in facing the challenges of the 21st century. The results showed that the implementation of religious character was carried out by religious habituation of students through religious activities. Religious activities carried out at SDN Panimbangajaya 5 are the recitation of the short letter Juz'amma before learning, Friday Takwa with the habituation of Dhuha Prayers in congregation, Shalawat together, recitation of Asmaul Husna, and Islamic Spirituality by Da'i/Da'iyah from students in rotation every week. In the implementation of religious character education, of course, there are supporting and inhibiting factors encountered. The supporting factors; (1) full support from the school (2) student enthusiasm (3) parental support. The inhibiting factors; (1) the diversity of student backgrounds (2) limited time and resources (3) inadequate facilities and infrastructure (4) adaptation to the times. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals in improving teachers' skills in preparing Learning Plans (LP) at SDN Tembulun 2. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that school principals have a strategic role in providing supervision, guidance, and training to teachers, which has a positive impact on improving their skills in developing Learning Plans. Obstacles faced by teachers in the preparation of Learning Plans, such as time constraints and lack of formal training, can be overcome through collaborative strategies and the use of technology facilitated by school principals. Improving teachers' skills in designing Learning Plans has been proven to be able to increase the effectiveness of the learning process, so that the quality of education at SDN Tembulun 2 has improved. This research emphasizes the importance of the role of school principals in developing teacher competencies and improving the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving human resources. Through education, it can create a superior and competitive generation that is qualified to face challenges in the future. This study aims to determine the effect of: 1) principal supervision on the quality of learning; 2) school culture on the quality of learning; 3) teacher work motivation on the quality of learning; and 4) principal supervision, school culture, and teacher work motivation together on the quality of learning in Public Junior High Schools in Sub Rayon 01 Pekalongan Regency. The type of research is quantitative research with a survey method. The population consists of 288 teachers of Public Junior High Schools in Sub Rayon 01 Pekalongan Regency. The sample in this study was 165 teachers selected using the proportional random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using the questionnaire technique. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that: 1) there is a positive and significant effect of principal supervision on the quality of learning. This is indicated by the results of the statistical t test of 9,800 which is significant at α = 0.05; 2) there is a positive and significant influence of school culture on the quality of learning. This is indicated by the results of the statistical t test of 11,512 which is significant at α = 0.05; 3) there is a positive and significant influence of teacher work motivation on the quality of learning. This is indicated by the results of the statistical t test of 5,478 which is significant at α = 0.05; and 4) there is a positive and significant influence of principal supervision, school culture, and teacher work motivation together on the quality of learning at Public Junior High Schools in Sub Rayon 01 Pekalongan Regency. This is indicated by the results of the statistical F test of 1359,529 which is significant at α = 0.05. The magnitude of the influence of the variables of principal supervision, school culture, and teacher work motivation together on the quality of learning is determined by the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) produced, which is 0.961. The regression equation produced in this study is Y = -6.558 + 0.365X1 + 0.490X2 + 0.198X3 + e.

Abstract

This research describes the science learning outcomes of elementary school students who have high self-effecacy learning using the guided inquiry method assisted by books. The research was conducted on grade elementary school students in four public elementary schools in Tambora District,West Jakarta. Data collection was crried out using self-efficacy instruments (questionnaires) and science learning outcomes instruments (tests). The research results show that students with high self-efficacy learn using the guided inquiry method with the help of videos, and student with low self-efficacy learn with the help of books. Students with high self-efficacy get higher results ompared to students with low self-efficacy.The conclusion is that learning science using the video-assisted guided inquiry method for students with high self-efficcy get higher science learning outcomes compared to student with low efficacy.

Abstract

Mathematical spatial ability is one of the important cognitive aspects in developingmathematical understanding, especially in the concepts of geometry, algebra, andmeasurement. This systematic literature review aims to evaluate the role andinfluence of spatial ability in mathematics learning in elementary schools. A total of10 studies from various scientific journals published between 2016 and 2024 wereanalyzed to identify the relationship between spatial ability and mathematicsachievement, spatial ability development strategies, and learning media factorsthat greatly determine the success of students' mathematical spatial abilities thataffect this skill. The results of the review indicate that spatial ability is positivelyrelated to mathematics achievement and can be improved through visual andmanipulative-based interventions. In addition, the study also found a relationshipbetween various approaches in implementing learning. This review emphasizesthe importance of integrating spatial activities in mathematics learning inelementary schools to improve students' understanding of complex mathematicalconcepts

Abstract

The lack of references for HOTS questions is considered an obstacle for teachers in developing HOTS-based questions. This study aims to produce test instrument development products to measure students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education subjects. This type of research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE method which consists of five stages namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments were a validation questionnaire and a critical thinking skills test. The types of data generated are quantitative data and qualitative data. The quantitative data in the form of the results of the validity of the test instrument products by experts reached an average score of 0.94 with very high validity criteria. While the qualitative data in this study are in the form of suggestions and input from experts, namely (1) Paying attention to the connection of question items with the real life of students and (2) Correcting the word “exclusion” so that it can be better understood by students. Then the empirical validity test was carried out by testing the test instrument on 3 fourth grade students of SDN Madulegi II to produce quantitative data in the form of an average score on each aspect of critical thinking ability based on the FRISCO framework. The results showed that the focus, inference, and situation aspects achieved an average score of 2.5 and the clarity aspect of 2.75 which was in the high category. Meanwhile, the other aspects, namely reason and overview, only reached the medium category with an average score of 2.25. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the test instrument developed is able to measure students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education subjects.

Abstract

Kyai are not only required to maintain Islamic boarding school traditions, but also must be able to innovate so that Islamic boarding schools remain relevant with current developments. Teacher professionalism is also a crucial factor in improving the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools. Teachers who are competent and have high dedication will be able to produce graduates who not only master religious knowledge, but also have the skills needed in the world of work. Apart from that, an increase in the number of students is an indicator of the success of an Islamic boarding school. The approach in this research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The aim of this research is will analyze the influence of the kyai's transformational leadership style on increasing the number of santri through teacher professionalism at the Ihyaul Qur'an Nururrahman Wagir Malang Islamic boarding school. Result research is The transformational leadership of kyai directly has a significant influence on increasing the number of santri, with the direct influence value being 0.370 while the indirect influence value is 0.283.

Abstract

The world continues to experience very rapid development, especially in the digital world, but in addition to experiencing positive developments it is also a sharp knife in the negative direction, especially for children and adolescents, they become more preoccupied with things that are not useful than having to do useful things such as learning and reciting the Koran. This study aims to see what are the causes of the decline in children's interest in understanding Islamic religious education, and how efforts to increase understanding of Islam through afternoon recitation activities. This research uses a qualitative approach, with primary and secondary data sources, data collection methods are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the decline in children's interest in understanding Islamic religious education was caused by several things: the first is that children have been influenced by gadgets, causing them to be lazy to recite the Koran because they are too cool with social media which makes them forget about time and obligations. The second is the wrong association. They make friends with children who do not recite the Koran which causes them to also be lazy to recite the Koran because they are influenced by their friends. then the third is the lack of supervision from parents. Parents are the most important part in the growth and development of children, parents need to supervise children so that children do not get the wrong association and are not addicted to gadgets. Parents must be role models and must be able to manage and control children. Then the last is, the weak Islamic norms set in the family. The family becomes a madrasa, the first educational institution for children, if the family lacks an understanding of the importance of Islamic Religious Education, children will not be interested in learning religion.
