Abstract

Peer interaction plays an important role in shaping students' learning interest. This study was motivated by differences in students' learning interest between morning and afternoon sessions, particularly concerning the Tahfidz Al-Qur’an extracurricular activity, which is not mandatory. In Grade IV SDN 14 Koto Baru, some students participate while others do not, leading to a decline in learning interest among those whose friends are absent from the classroom.This research aims to analyze the relationship between peer interaction and students' learning interest using a quantitative correlational method. The population and sample consist of 30 students using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documents, tested for validity with 16 items per variable, and reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha (0.760 for peer interaction and 0.691 for learning interest). Normality tests using Shapiro-Wilk show normal distribution (0.632 and 0.078). Linearity testing resulted in 0.237, indicating a linear relationship. Hypothesis testing using simple linear regression shows a significance value of 0.006 (<0.05), confirming that peer interaction influences students' learning interest. The effective contribution of peer interaction is 23.7%, while 76.3% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Spatial ability, which is included in one of the multiple intelligences, is an ability that is considered as important as linguistic intelligence in most literature. Spatial ability, which is closely related to geometry, is also connected to navigational ability. Map or plan reading lessons through Orienteering support experiential learning which is considered more effective because learning is centered on students. The quasi-experimental research method used in this study was carried out at Grade 3 SD Negeri 2 Tambak Baya on 55 students consisting of 27 students in the control group and the remaining 28 in the experimental group. The study took place in 3 meetings. The research data were taken based on the Spatial Thinking Skill Test (STST) aspect indicators whose instruments were modified and developed into action tests that were delivered verbally but contained definite answers like answer keys. The results of the study revealed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes through the application of orienteering as seen from the average comparison test of the pre-test of 35.48 with the post-test learning outcomes of 78.81. From the results of the N-gain statistical test, it was found that orienteering was quite effective in improving spatial thinking skills which were useful for students' navigation skills with an N-gain score of 70.03%. Different results were also found between male and female students in the application of orienteering in the experimental class based on a comparison of the average post-test learning outcomes. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of orienteering is quite effective in developing students' thinking skills. Orienteering can be recommended as a teaching method in Social Natural Sciences lessons because it is a fun activity because learning is centered on students which is done through experience so that the application of spatial thinking skills can be applied in everyday life. This is also relevant to the current independent curriculum which uses a deep learning approach.

Abstract

The background of this study was that teachers' suboptimal use and implementation of learning strategies led to a learning environment that left students feeling bored and tired during the lesson, resulting in below-average science learning outcomes. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of implementing the Scramble learning strategy in improving science learning outcomes in fourth-grade students. The method used was an experimental one-group pretest-posttest. The sample consisted of 33 fourth-grade students at SD Inpres Antang I. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation. The results showed that the learning process using the Scramble learning strategy had an impact on students' science learning outcomes, as evidenced by the increase in pretest and posttest scores. In the experimental class studied, the average posttest was higher than the pretest. The average posttest was 83.03, while the average pretest was 37.57. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Scramble learning strategy significantly influences students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Cakalele dance is a traditional war dance originating from Maluku Province. In the inauguration ceremony of the village head, the Cakalele dance is performed as the fourth sequence in the traditional ritual procession. In the Buru tribal language, the village head is called “Kepala Soa.” This study aims to explain the process of the Kepala Soa’s inauguration and to describe the presentation form of the Buru Tribe’s Cakalele dance during this event in Maluku Province. The Cakalele performed at the inauguration ceremony is classified as a ritual dance. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and direct observation of the presentation form of the Cakalele dance during the Kepala Soa’s inauguration, which was documented through photographs and video recordings. The analysis results show that the Cakalele dance is performed by two male dancers who must meet specific requirements: they must be members of the Buru tribe, married, have previously performed the Cakalele dance, and be physically and mentally healthy. The costume worn consists of a “lenso” (scarf), a plain black shirt and pants, and a red cloth (merat). The Cakalele dance comprises three primary movement motifs and is accompanied by the traditional Tifa drum. The main property in the dance is the Pattimura sword. The performance takes place in the front yard of the Oki Baru Village Office.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are the ability to generate new, original, and beneficial ideas. This ability is very important for students to face the challenges of the 21st century. However, based on initial observations and classroom experience, it was found that fourth-grade bilingual students at SD Laboratorium Kota Malang still demonstrate a level of creative thinking skills that needs improvement. The main problems lie in students' lack of mastery in the thinking process, students often rush to give answers without conducting in-depth exploration of ideas, a lack of ability to ask challenging (probing) questions, and difficulty in building upon each other's ideas. The material used is plane figures, specifically quadrilaterals. This research is quantitative with the type of research being Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this research are fourth-grade bilingual students in the 2024/2025 academic year, even semester. The research instruments include essay tests on creative thinking skills, with an average score of 77.8% obtained in cycle I and 87.5% in cycle II, with a gain score category of 0.44, falling into the medium category. It is concluded that STEAMID media with a STEAM approach can improve the creative thinking skills of SD Laboratorium UM Kota Malang students, which was obtained from observations of students' artwork in building their dream traditional houses to develop creative skills through the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration.

Abstract

Self-esteem is an important aspect of adolescent psychological development that can influence various aspects of life, including academic achievement, social relationships, and mental health. This study aims to describe the self-esteem of students from single-parent families. This study uses a descriptive approach with quantitative methods. The subjects of this study were junior high school students from single-parent families, selected using total sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was the self-esteem scale based on Coopersmith's theory. The results of the study showed that the self-esteem of students from single-parent families was in the moderate category. To enhance students' self-esteem, counseling services that can be provided include information services, individual counseling services, and group counseling services.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran flash card berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) menggunakan aplikasi Assemblr Edu pada materi macam-macam lengan busana untuk siswa kelas X Tata Busana SMK Negeri 4 Sijunjung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa flash card berukuran 12 x 16 cm dengan desain menarik, dilengkapi kode QR yang dapat memunculkan objek 3D, audio deskripsi, kuis interaktif, dan fitur rotasi 360°. Uji validitas dilakukan oleh ahli media dan ahli materi, sedangkan uji praktikalitas melibatkan guru dan siswa. Efektivitas media diukur melalui perbandingan hasil pre-test dan post-test serta perhitungan N-Gain Score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran flashcard berbasis assemblr edu pada materi macam-macam lengan busana memiliki tingkat kevalidan yang tinggi, dengan 91% kategori sangat valid dari aspek materi, dan 96% katogori sangat valid dari aspek media. Evaluasi dari respon guru dan peserta didik di sekolah uji coba menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran dinilai sangat praktis, dengan presentase kepraktisan respon guru mencapai 94%, serta respon peserta didik mencapai 93% Efektivitas media juga terbukti tinggi, dengan peningkatan hasil rata-rata 46,% serta hasil N gain score pada kategori tinngi. Dengan demikian, flash card berbasis Assemblr Edu dinilai layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi macam-macam lengan busana.

Abstract

Dalam perkembangan remaja, hal yang penting untuk dilakukan adalah membentuk identitas diri yang diperoleh melalui pemahaman tentang konsep diri yang dimilikinya. Konsep diri merupakan hal yang penting dalam kehidupan remaja karena konsep diri menentukan bagaimana seseorang berperilaku. Salah satu faktor yang melatarbelakangi konsep diri adalah teman sebaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1)mendeskripsikan dukungan sosial teman sebaya siswa MTsN 2 Kota Padang, (2) mendeskripsikan konsep diri siswa MTsN 2 Kota Padang, (3) menguji apakah terdapat hubungan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan konsep diri. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 275 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan Skala model Likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan Pearson Product Moment untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan konsep diri siswa. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) dukungan sosial teman sebaya siswa MTsN 2 Kota Padang berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) konsep diri siswa MTsN 2 Kota Padang berada pada kategori sedang, (3) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan konsep diri siswa dengan indeks 0,356.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are a collaborative skill aimed at solving a problem through combining many ideas. Collaboration skills are very important to learn, but in fact, the facts in the field state that there are still problems in this skill, some students are still unable to carry out discussion or collaboration activities well, therefore a media is needed that can be a card game called question and act cards based on the CRT approach or cultural responsiveness. Through the application of question and action cards, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' collaboration skills which is carried out for 2 cycles

Abstract

who want to teach mathematics to students need to understand and know the material to be delivered. Understanding the meaning of mathematics itself is a fundamental key to achieving success in learning mathematics. Learning is a process carried out by individuals to obtain new behavioral changes as a whole as a result of experience in interacting with the environment. The need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach. This learning is further developed, including Problem-Based Learning which has recently become famous in the world of education. Problem based learningcan provide skills in managing life for students to be able to overcome obstacles in their environment. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach on flat shape material carried out on grade IV teachers in Kawalu District. The results of this study indicate that teachers are active in implementing Problem Based Learning, but there are still obstacles in learning mathematics. In learning flat shapes, the teacher stated that one of the main objectives in learning mathematics based on the Independent Curriculum is to help students understand and develop mathematical material that includes facts, concepts, principles, operations, and mathematical relations. The process elements in learning mathematics also emphasize the importance of implementing and adapting effective strategies in solving everyday problems, which also serve as a means to reconstruct mathematical understanding. As part of the direction of the Independent Curriculum policy, the preparation of the Learning Implementation Plan has undergone significant changes compared to the previous curriculum in increasing learning motivation about the area of ​​flat shapes. Efforts to increase learning motivation through Problem based learningthe area of ​​flat shapes are carried out according to the steps based on the implementation cycle with the following steps: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Learning using the Problem based learningmodul can increase learning motivation about the circumference and area of ​​flat shapes in grade IV students.
