Abstract

Plant cell differentiation is a fundamental developmental process that determines cellular identity, specialization, and the formation of functional tissues and organs. This process is regulated through a coordinated interplay of plant hormones, transcription factors, and epigenetic mechanisms. Auxin and cytokinin serve as key hormonal signals that guide vascular patterning, particularly the differentiation of xylem and phloem. Transcription factors such as the VASCULAR-RELATED NAC-DOMAIN (VND) family, NAC, and HD-ZIP III play essential roles in directing cell fate and activating secondary cell wall formation. In addition, epigenetic mechanisms including DNA methylation and chromatin remodeling maintain long-term stability of differentiated states. This literature review aims to synthesize current scientific findings on major patterns and regulatory mechanisms of plant cell differentiation. A deeper understanding of these mechanisms provides valuable insights for plant physiology, biotechnology, and crop improvement, especially in enhancing growth, adaptation, and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the philosophy of Human Capital and empowerment as strategic foundations for developing human resources (HR) in education. Using a systematic literature review of 42 recent scholarly sources, the study identifies that Human Capital strengthens educational personnel capacity through the development of knowledge, skills, and professional competence, while empowerment activates this capacity through autonomy, participation, intrinsic motivation, and organizational support. The findings reveal that integrating both approaches enhances educator performance, creativity, and innovation, while also strengthening educational organizational culture. The integrative Human Capital–Empowerment model developed in this study highlights that the quality of education is significantly influenced by the synergy between capacity building and empowerment mechanisms. This research offers theoretical contributions to educational management and practical recommendations for designing effective and sustainable HR development strategies in educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the condition of national and regional leadership in Indonesia through a SWOT approach to map the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that influence the effectiveness of policy formulation and implementation. Using a descriptive qualitative method and document analysis, this study draws on various secondary sources, including national and international policy reports, scholarly articles, academic books, and governance data such as the World Governance Indicators and the Corruption Perceptions Index. The analysis was carried out through data reduction, categorization, synthesis, and source triangulation to ensure information validity. The findings reveal that Indonesian leadership possesses several internal strengths, such as democratic legitimacy through direct elections, a wide and potentially powerful bureaucratic structure, progress in government digitalization, and strong social capital. However, structural weaknesses remain dominant, including political fragmentation, overlapping bureaucratic authorities, disparities in regional capacity, limited use of data in policymaking, and a tendency toward personalized leadership. Externally, Indonesia faces significant opportunities such as the demographic bonus, digital transformation acceleration, increased civil society participation, and international cooperation. Nonetheless, leadership also confronts threats such as global economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions in the Indo-Pacific, political polarization and digital disinformation, widening social inequality, and the risks of natural disasters and environmental crises. The implications of this study emphasize the need for more adaptive, data-driven, and long-term-oriented leadership strategies through strengthened bureaucratic meritocracy, political consolidation, integrated digital governance, and strategic diplomacy in responding to global pressures. The novelty of this research lies in integrating leadership analysis with the SWOT framework into a systematic evaluative model, along with the use of contemporary empirical cases in the post-bureaucratic reform and digital governance era as the basis for strategic mapping. This approach provides a deeper understanding of the strategic position of Indonesian leadership amid increasingly complex global socio-political dynamics and offers relevant policy recommendations for strengthening governance in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated learning on student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education in grade VII at SMP Negeri 26 Medan. This study was conducted based on the low learning outcomes of students, as indicated by the large number of students who did not meet the minimum passing grade (KKM), as well as the learning process that was still dominated by conventional methods without considering differences in learning styles, interests, and readiness of students. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Pre-test-Post-test Control Group Design, involving 64 students consisting of class VII-E as the experimental class and class VII-H as the control class. The experimental class was given treatment in the form of differentiated learning that accommodated the readiness, interests, and learning profiles of students, while the control class was taught using conventional learning. The research instrument was a learning outcome test administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, Paired Sample T-Test, and Independent Sample T-Test tests with the help of the SPSS 25 program. The results showed a significant increase in the learning outcomes of the experimental class, with the average score increasing from 70.72 to 84.91 after the implementation of differentiated learning. Meanwhile, the control class only experienced a small increase from 69.38 to 70.03, or 0.65 points. The Paired Sample T-Test results showed Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class. The Independent Sample T-Test also produced a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05, with a posttest average difference of 14.88 points between the two classes, proving that differentiated learning has a significant effect on student learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the application of differentiated learning is ffective in improving Pancasila Education learning outcomes while creating an adaptive and student-centered learning process.

Abstract

Tradisi bekarang ikan di Desa Pasar Terusan, Muara Bulian, merupakan salah satu warisan kearifan lokal yang diwariskan lintas generasi dan masih dilestarikan hingga kini. Prosesi ini dilaksanakan pada musim kemarau saat air surut di lubuk larangan, yaitu kawasan perairan yang dijaga bersama masyarakat sepanjang tahun untuk memastikan keberlangsungan ekosistem ikan. Bekarang tidak hanya dipahami sebagai aktivitas menangkap ikan, tetapi juga wujud rasa syukur kepada Tuhan, sarana memperkuat solidaritas sosial, serta bentuk kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Rangkaian doa bersama, kerja sama saat proses penangkapan ikan, hingga makan basamo setelah kegiatan memperlihatkan integrasi nilai religius, sosial, dan ekologis yang menyatu dalam satu perayaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bekarang berfungsi sebagai media pendidikan budaya, penguatan identitas kolektif, serta pelestarian lingkungan berbasis adat yang tetap relevan di tengah tantangan modernisasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan inovasi dan strategi guru dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif pada siswa kelas 1 SD Cahaya Bangsa Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah menerapkan berbagai strategi inovatif, seperti penggunaan media visual, video pembelajaran, cerita bergambar, role play, serta model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Project Based Learning (PjBL) yang terintegrasi dalam kurikulum IPC. Inovasi tersebut mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, meskipun tantangan seperti menurunnya fokus belajar pada siang hari masih ditemukan. Dukungan sarana prasarana sekolah serta peran guru sebagai fasilitator menjadi faktor penting dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, menyenangkan, dan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan siswa kelas awal.

Abstract

Child education in Islamic perspective is an integrated process aimed at developing individuals with strong faith, noble character, and social responsibility. The rapid growth of digital technology presents both opportunities and critical challenges for children’s character development, particularly due to the increasing prevalence of deviant behaviors, online violence, and moral degradation. Recent data from UNICEF, KPAI, and the Ministry of Women and Children’s Empowerment of Indonesia reveal a significant rise in cyberbullying, digital-based sexual exploitation, and gadget addiction over the past five years, which negatively affect mental health, social empathy, and religious commitment. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through library research and tarbawi interpretation of Qur’anic verses, specifically Surah Luqman 13-19, to identify educational values relevant to the digital era. The findings show that these verses contain comprehensive educational principles including monotheism, spiritual consciousness (muraqabah), habitual worship, enjoining good and forbidding evil, emotional regulation, and ethical communication. These values play a crucial role in strengthening internal self-control as a moral shield against the destructive impact of technology. The integration of family and school-based Islamic education through the Islamic Digital Tarbiyah Model offers an applicable approach for educating digitally literate, morally upright, and spiritually grounded generations. The study concludes that Islamic education holds a strategic position in balancing technological development with spiritual and moral formation.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at SDN Karang Anyar I, Ciasem District, through the implementation of a combined inquiry and Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The study addressed the issue of low learning outcomes resulting from conventional teaching methods that provided minimal active student engagement. The research was conducted over three cycles following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, involving 25 students comprising 9 males and 16 females. Data were collected through multiple-choice achievement tests consisting of 10 items focused on prefix me-, procedural text and personal letter materials. Results demonstrated significant improvement in learning outcomes, with the class average increasing from 65.2 in the pre-cycle to 83.6 in cycle III, and classical completeness reaching 92%. The combined model effectively facilitated guided investigation activities, authentic problem-solving through local cultural contexts such as dodol Subang production, collaborative group work based on learning styles, and reflective evaluation. The study confirmed that integrating inquiry and PBL models creates synergistic effects in developing critical thinking skills, student independence, and meaningful learning experiences. These findings recommend the model as an innovative strategy for elementary school Indonesian language instruction aligned with independent curriculum principles emphasizing contextual and student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study investigates the internalization of tawazun (balance) values and environmental awareness in character education at a state junior high school in Semarang Regency, Indonesia. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving teachers, administrators, and students. The data were analyzed through Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the cultivation of tawazun is achieved through daily religious practices, classroom integration of ethical and balanced values, and teacher role-modeling, which collectively enhance students’ spiritual, social, and academic equilibrium. Environmental awareness is promoted through structured school programs, including greening projects, waste management, and collective cleaning initiatives, fostering responsibility, cooperation, and ecological sensitivity. Supporting factors include a strong school culture and consistent teacher guidance, while inhibiting factors comprise students’ consumerist tendencies, limited supervision, and insufficient program monitoring. This study highlights a holistic model of character education that unites spiritual and ecological dimensions, demonstrating how balance (tawazun) can serve as a guiding principle for ethical and sustainable behavior. The findings provide practical insights for schools seeking to develop morally responsible and environmentally conscious students, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and continuous reinforcement of values.

Abstract

The strategy of teaching arabic with a contextual approach is a learning method that connects the arabic with the daily life context of the students, making the learning process more meaningful and enjoyable. This study aims to analyze the application of the teaching strategy of arabic using a contextual approach in the second grade at STTD Al Birru Majenang. The method used is qualitative, employing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The results show that the use of a contextual approach in teaching arabic can improve students' interest and skills in the language. Students become more active participants because the material taught is directly related to their experiences and surroundings. This approach also helps students understand the vocabulary and sentences of arabic that are relevant to daily life, facilitating easier memorization and practical use of the language. The learning activities, which are active, creative, and collaborative, create an enjoyable and engaging learning atmosphere. In conclusion, the teaching strategy of arabic with a contextual approach is effective to increase motivation and competence in arabic for second-grade students at STTD Al Birru Majenang.
