Abstract

The problem in this research is the low level of cooperation and critical thinking abilities of students. The reason is that learning is one-way and the use of inappropriate learning models to stimulate critical thinking. An effort to overcome this is by using the "BE SMART" model. The purpose of this research is to analyze the increase in students' cooperation and critical thinking abilities. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in four meetings. The research subjects were 22 class V students at SDN Mawar 7 Banjarmasin. The type of research used is qualitative and quantitative data. The results of the research showed that student cooperation in meeting I was 45%, increasing in meeting IV by 95% in the category "All Students Work Together". Students' critical thinking abilities at meeting I were 41%, increasing at meeting IV at 95% in the category "All Students are Critical". It is recommended to teachers that the results of this " BE SMART " model research can be used as a reference in using innovative learning models.

Abstract

The quality of education is one of the main issues that continues to be discussed in the world of education due to the complexity of the problem. Efforts to improve the quality of education in schools require concrete actions supported by effective principal leadership. This study aims to explore the role of principal leadership in building a culture of quality in the educational environment. The research approach uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that principals who apply a leadership style based on ethical values ​​and organizational culture are able to create behavior, culture, and symbols in schools that support the achievement of superior education quality. In conclusion, good principal leadership is the main key to improving accountability and quality of education in schools.

Abstract

Education is an important element that aims to educate and develop individual potential. Through education, a person can build creativity, broaden their horizons, and develop a good personality. The quality of education in schools varies, which is largely influenced by the school's accreditation. Accreditation can be defined as formal recognition given by an authorized body to a school as an educational institution, indicating the suitability and quality of the school. High accreditation is usually associated with good quality education, reflects the quality of the institution and increases public trust in the school. However, in practice, accreditation is often viewed as a formal status without understanding its substantive meaning as a guarantee of educational quality. This research aims to analyze the relationship between school accreditation and the quality of education in SLB-C Negeri Pembina, South Kalimantan Province. Guaranteeing the quality of education through accreditation aims to ensure that students receive educational services and results that meet the promised standards. This research also aims to identify the extent to which accreditation at SLB reflects the actual quality of education, as well as its role in providing quality assurance to the community and education stakeholders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan gerakan literasi sekolah dalam membangun karakter kreatif dan inovatif di lingkungan warga sekolah SDN Kuin Utara 6. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu metode penelitian yang mengumpulkan informasi melalui observasi, wawancara dengan informan yang dipilih secara selektif, serta dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah SDN Kuin Utara 6. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan gerakan literasi di sekolah tersebut cukup efektif dalam mengembangkan karakter kreatif dan inovatif siswa, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh hasil-hasil nyata yang telah dicapai melalui program literasi sekolah.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting dalam menentukan perkembangan dan perwujudan diri individu, dan bagi kehidupan suatu bangsa. Menyadari akan pentingnya peranan pendidikan sebagai pendorong kemajuan suatu bangsa, maka pemerintah senantiasa berupaya untuk mengadakan pembaruan-pembaruan bidang pendidikan terutama yang berkaitan dengan tenaga pendidikan, pembiayaan, sistem, kurikulum, dan lain sebagainya adalah peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi peran kepala sekolah dan guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa di SD serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas kolaborasi antara keduanya, metode pengumpulan data ini dilakukan dengan observasi langsung dan juga wawancara kepada kepala sekolah dan guru, kami menggunakan model penelitian kualitatif adalah pendekatan penelitian yang fokus pada pemahaman mendalam terhadap fenomena sosial, perilaku, dan pengalaman individu atau kelompok. Penelitian kualitatif menggunakan data deskriptif, baik lisan maupun tulisan, untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis konteks serta makna dari fenomena yang diteliti.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan media dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar melalui kajian literatur terhadap beberapa jurnal. Literasi numerasi didefinisikan sebagai kemampuan menggunakan angka dan simbol matematika untuk memecahkan masalah sehari-hari dan menganalisis informasi. Kajian ini mencakup tiga jurnal utama: (1) Penerapan program calistung dengan media seperti kartu huruf, kartu angka, dan buku cerita untuk melatih membaca, menulis, dan berhitung siswa secara menyenangkan; (2) Penggunaan pojok baca dengan media visual interaktif seperti tabel angka dan gambar 3D untuk meningkatkan minat literasi numerasi siswa; (3) Pengembangan buku matematika bergambar dengan model ASSURE yang menyajikan konten matematika dalam bentuk cerita visual menarik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang relevan dan menarik secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa, mendukung proses belajar, serta relevan dengan kebutuhan kurikulum.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran strategi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru sebagai bagian dari upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia. Melalui studi pustaka terhadap berbagai literatur dan hasil penelitian terdahulu, ditemukan bahwa kompetensi guru, khususnya dalam aspek profesionalisme dan pedagogik, masih belum memenuhi standar yang diharapkan. Kepemimpinan transformasional, yang ditandai oleh empat dimensi utama—pengaruh ideal, motivasi inspirasional, stimulasi intelektual, dan perhatian individual—terbukti mampu mendorong pengembangan profesional guru secara berkelanjutan serta menciptakan iklim kerja yang kolaboratif dan inovatif di lingkungan sekolah. Temuan studi ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan performa dan kualitas pembelajaran, terutama melalui pemberdayaan guru, peningkatan partisipasi dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta penumbuhan budaya belajar yang positif. Artikel ini merekomendasikan pentingnya integrasi prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan transformasional dalam kebijakan pendidikan, program pelatihan, dan sistem sertifikasi kepala sekolah agar lebih adaptif terhadap tuntutan perubahan dan mampu memfasilitasi transformasi pendidikan yang berkelanjutan

Abstract

A professional leader of an educational institution is someone who is able to provide direction, set goals to be achieved, provide solutions to every problem, make various decisions, planning and strategies. He is a great person in implementing concepts. He actively communicates, coordinates, supervises and conducts evaluations. The most important thing is that he motivates teachers and education personnel to become professional teachers and education personnel. He builds morale and a spirit of togetherness in the madrasah educational institution, teaches, trains, and gives advice. All of these hopes will be realized if a leader has the integrity to lead the madrasah educational institution to become an excellent and quality institution. Leader, which means "to lead" or "leader," is the root of the word "leadership," which indicates the act of taking control. "Leadership as the ability to influence a group towards achieving goals" is what Stephen P. Robbins said when asked about leadership. One definition of leadership is the capacity to inspire others to work together to achieve common goals. The development of school culture in order to achieve commitment in achieving the expected standards needs to be continuously carried out in a culture of quality. Therefore, the principal's leadership plays a key role in realizing a culture of quality in educational units.

Abstract

As a digital native generation, Generation Z needs flexible and relevant leadership. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the concept of leadership that is relevant to Generation Z. The methodology used in this study is called literature review. Literature review is the process of finding and reading various books, journals, and publications related to the research topic to write about it. The results of the literature study indicate that Generation Z is most suited to the transformational leadership paradigm because it emphasizes inspiration, individual growth, and collaborative vision. They need the meaning, values, and engagement that Generation Z has. Effective Gen Z leaders are those who can successfully apply the three approaches mentioned above. They can then adjust their leadership style to suit the changing situation, individual needs, and organizational dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to address the challenges of various changes in the world of education and develop the unique potential possessed by schools. This study uses a case study method to understand in depth how inclusive leadership practices are implemented and how change management is managed in a multicultural school environment. Data were obtained from direct observations of researchers and supported by documentary evidence, and analyzed to understand the best practices faced in the context of multicultural schools. The results of the study showed 5 important findings, namely inclusive leadership, change management, teacher involvement, student participation, community support, and academic and social outcomes. The role of the principal and stakeholders is very important in creating an inclusive and supportive environment in preserving culture at SMPN 11 Muara Teweh so that it becomes an important aspect in supporting change management.
