Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by symptoms of inattention, and distractibility, with or without hyperactivity. According to the CDC, it was the most common mental health disorder among children aged 3-17 years, with a prevalence of 9.8% from 2016 to 2019. Over time, various therapeutic methods have been developed to treat ADHD patients, one of which is neurofeedback therapy. Neurofeedback (NFB) therapy, also known as Neurotherapy, is a type of biofeedback therapy that utilizes feedback from brain activity to optimize brain function in children with ADHD potentially. This study aims to determine the effects of short-session neurofeedback therapy on brainwaves in children with ADHD using the quasi-experimental method. Samples were obtained from medical records of SMR and Theta brainwave activity from the first and fifth sessions of neurofeedback therapy through simple random sampling. A sample size of 30 was calculated and analyzed using a paired sample T-test. The researcher decided to measure changes after 5 sessions because childhood is a very active period, and children have numerous activities, limiting their availability for therapy. It was found that after undergoing neurofeedback therapy for 5 sessions, there was a significant improvement in the patient's SMR wave activity compared to before therapy (p=0.004). However, there was no substantial change in the patient's Theta wave activity before and after the 5 neurofeedback therapy sessions (p = 0.178). The considerable increase in SMR waves indicates an improvement in the patient's ability to concentrate on specific tasks without being easily distracted.

Abstract

Students’ understanding of Natural and Social Science (IPAS) concepts at the elementary school level remains relatively low due to learning processes that do not actively engage students and the limited use of varied instructional media. Learning activities that are dominated by the lecture method tend to make students passive and struggle to connect the material with real-life experiences. This condition results in low learning outcomes in the IPAS subject at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Pringsewu. This study was designed to address the issue of how significantly the Team Quiz learning method assisted by puzzle media influences the improvement of students’ conceptual understanding of IPAS.The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Team Quiz method assisted by puzzle media in enhancing students’ ability to understand IPAS concepts through cooperative, competitive, and enjoyable learning activities. The research employed a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The subjects of the study involved two classes, namely class VA as the experimental group and class VB as the control group, with a total sample of 65 students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using the t-test with SPSS 29 software.The results showed that there was a significant influence of the Team Quiz method assisted by puzzle media on students’ conceptual understanding of IPAS. Based on the t-test results using SPSS 29, the significance value obtained was 0.000 < 0.05, with the average posttest score of the experimental class (84.32) being higher than that of the control class (73.14). This finding proves that the Team Quiz method assisted by puzzle media is effective in improving the conceptual understanding of IPAS among fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Pringsewu.

Abstract

The project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students and rahmatan lil alamin students (P5PPRA) is a new thing in the implementation of an independent curriculum. One of the madrasahs that has implemented P5PPRA is MI Walisongo Kranji 01 Kedungwuni Pekalongan. This madrasah became a piloting madrasah and has implemented P5PPRA at all levels, from grade 1 to 6. This study aims to explore the implementation of P5PPRA in this MI along with its supporting and inhibiting factors. This type of research is a field research. The approach taken in this research uses a qualitative approach. The data sources in this study are the madrasah head, teachers and students. The data were collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The result of this study is that the implementation of P5PPRA in MI Walisongo Kranji 01 Kedungwuni Pekalongan is carried out through the planning stage, implementation and evaluation. Supporting factors in the implementation of P5PPRA are the relatively young age of teachers, high motivation from students and good cooperation between teachers and students. While the inhibiting factors for the implementation of P5PPRA are the teaching mindset of teachers, inadequate facilities and infrastructure and teachers' low understanding of the concept of P5PPRA. This research contributes to P5PPRA activities that can be carried out by other schools at the primary level.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges faced by teachers in implementing digital technology-based learning within the Merdeka Curriculum at UPT SDN 023 Pandau Jaya. The research employed a qualitative case study approach with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of homeroom teachers of classes VA and VB, as well as students from the same classes. The findings indicate four main challenges in implementing digital technology-based learning. In terms of teacher competence, differences were found in teachers’ abilities to operate digital devices and apply TPACK, resulting in uneven utilization of technology. Regarding infrastructure, ICT facilities are available but not optimally used due to limited devices and technical issues. In the aspect of school support, regular training and guidance from the principal have been provided, yet some teachers still require additional assistance. From a cultural perspective, varying levels of adaptability between younger and senior teachers influence the smooth integration of technology, although all teachers demonstrate positive attitudes and willingness to learn. This study emphasizes that teacher competence, facilities, institutional support, and school culture play crucial roles in the successful implementation of digital technology-based learning in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in grade III of UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai. The failure to achieve critical thinking indicators can be seen from the tendency of students to be passive, difficulty in expressing opinions, and inability to analyze and solve problems logically. This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of grade III students of UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audio-visual media. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach which is carried out in two cycles, with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 25 students. Data collection instruments include observation sheets, critical thinking ability tests, and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills have increased in each cycle, as indicated by an increase in the percentage of students in cycle I meeting I reaching (44%), meeting II increasing to (52%), while in cycle II meeting I (76%) and meeting II increasing to (84%). Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model assisted by audio-visual media can improve students' critical thinking skills on the material of my school rules in class II of UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai.

Abstract

Picture series media is suitable for use at Pasir Awi Public Elementary School in Tangerang Regency because teachers still use the lecture method in teaching. As a result, students are less actively engaged and less interested in participating in Indonesian language lessons. Furthermore, student learning outcomes show that less than 50% have not achieved mastery based on the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This research method is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four meetings. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of narrative writing skills through the use of picture series media. The research procedure includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 34 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, testing, and documentation. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed that in cycle I, the average value of student learning outcomes was 61.18. In cycle II, the value increased significantly to 75.82, which is classified as high category from the ideal value of 100. Learning completeness also increased, from only 3 students (8.82%) in cycle I to 30 students (88.24%) in cycle II. Classical learning completeness was achieved because more than 80% of students had met the KKM. Thus, learning using serial picture media was proven effective in improving narrative writing skills and the implementation of the action was stopped in cycle II because it had achieved the learning target. Evaluation of the results of this study indicates that image series media can increase student participation, stimulate writing interest, and help them express ideas coherently. However, for optimal results, teachers need to adjust the image selection to suit the theme and engage students in discussions before writing.

Abstract

The Disaster Safe Education Unit Program is a national policy aimed at building school community preparedness in facing potential disasters through three main components: safe school facilities, disaster management in schools, and disaster risk reduction education. The southern coastal area of Bantul, particularly Parangtritis Village, has a high level of vulnerability to threats such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and coastal abrasion, making the implementation of Disaster Safe Education Unit Program in this region highly crucial. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Disaster Safe Education Unit Program in elementary education units located in the coastal area of Parangtritis using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and a review of Disaster Safe Education Unit Program documents. The research informants include school principals, teachers, students, members of the Parangtritis Disaster-Resilient Village, and representatives from the Regional Disaster Management Agency and the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing based on the four dimensions of the CIPP model. The findings indicate that, in the context aspect, there is awareness of the importance of SPAB, but it is not yet supported by strong internal policies. In the input aspect, human resources and facilities remain limited. The process aspect shows that disaster drills and training activities are still incidental and have not been disseminated to all members of the school community. Meanwhile, in the product aspect, there has been an increase in students’ basic preparedness knowledge, but it has not yet resulted in comprehensive disaster-resilient behavioral change. In conclusion, the implementation of Disaster Safe Education Unit Program in elementary schools in the Parangtritis Village area is categorized as adequate, but requires strengthening of school policies, enhancement of teacher capacity, and cross-sector collaboration among schools, government agencies, and the community to realize safe and resilient schools. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the shooting-under-the-ring ability of students participating in the basketball extracurricular program at SMA NU Kaplongan. The research employed a descriptive design using a test-based method. The population consisted of students enrolled in the basketball extracurricular activity, with a total of 11 participants serving as the research subjects. The instrument used was a performance test developed based on predetermined indicators. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The findings indicate that the majority of participants demonstrated a moderate level of shooting-under-the-ring ability. Specifically, 4 students (45%) were classified in the moderate category, 2 students (10%) in the good category, 3 students (35%) in the poor category, and 2 students (10%) demonstrated a very good level of performance.

Abstract

Pesantren, as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia, plays a strategic role in shaping character-driven generations in the era of Society 5.0. Therefore, it requires adaptive and visionary leadership to remain relevant amidst the demands of digitalization. This study aims to describe the transformational leadership model of the caregivers/kiai at the IMBOS Islamic Boarding School in Pringsewu, focusing on role modeling, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a single case study, data were collected thru in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. Informants were selected purposively, while data validity was strengthened thru source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings indicate that the caregivers/kiai at the IMBOS Islamic boarding school practiced transformational leadership integrated with Islamic spiritual values and digital innovation. Exemplary behavior is reflected in discipline, integrity, and moral consistency; inspirational motivation is realized thru the delivery of an educational vision that is considered an act of worship; intellectual stimulation is evident in the digitalization of pesantren management, such as cashless systems, computer-based learning, digital attendance, online student admissions, and digital libraries; while individual attention is seen in character development, empathetic support, and the development of teacher and staff competencies. This research yielded a novel finding: Transformational Digital Leadership of Kyai in Islamic Boarding School 5.0, a boarding school leadership model that adaptively and visionarily integrates Islamic values, humanism, and digital transformation.

Abstract

Transformasi digital saat ini menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara penggunaan teknologi digital untuk tujuan sosial dan akademik di kalangan mahasiswa di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan merumuskan strategi penguatan literasi digital mahasiswa dalam upaya mewujudkan program studi unggul . Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi penguatan literasi digital pada perguruan tinggi, dalam hal ini dilakukan di Program studi pendidikan biologi universitas Ahmad Dahlan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa program studi pendidikan biologi UAD telah mengintegrasikan e-learninng dan google classroom dalam kegiatan perkuliahan. Penguatan literasi digital dilakukan dengan strategi perencanaan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Seluruh kegiatan perkuliahan berbeasis digital direncanakan dengan matang bersama seluruh dosen dan tenaga kependidikan. Implementasi kegiatan perkuliahan dengan menggunakan basis digital dilakukan secara komprehensif, mulai dari perkuliahan teoritis bersama dosen sampai dengan praktik berbasis digital seperti praktikum inovasi pembelajaran, praktikum teknologi pembelajaran. Adapun seluruh penliaian dan administrasi telah terintegrasi dalam sistem digital melalui sistem outcome based education(OBE). Evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis digital dilakukan melalui sistem berbasis daring. Kendala utama dari penguatan literasi digital ini adalah perbedaan kemampuan beradaptasi mahasiswa terhadap teknologi yang menciptakan kesenjangan digital. Strategi dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut diantaranya pendampingan intensif, pembelajaran sebaya, dan dukungan kerja dari mahasiswa lainnya. Program studi pendidikan biologi belum diselenggaran kurikulum literasi digital namun telah mengintegrasikan literasi digital dalam perkuliahan dan praktikumnya. Sebagai solusi, program studi merumuskan rencana pengembangan sistem pembelajaran berbasis digital.
