Abstract

This study aims to analyze the post-acquisition integration of PT Arrahmah Muhammadiyah using the Structure–Conduct–Performance (SCP) approach. The acquisition represents an internal affiliation within the Muhammadiyah organization, marked by the transfer of authority and assets from the Kendal Regional Board of Muhammadiyah (PDM) to the Central Java Regional Board (PWM) as a strategic effort to expand market reach and strengthen umrah service operations. This research adopts a qualitative approach through a case study of PT Arrahmah. Data were analyzed thematically to understand the integration process after the acquisition. The findings show an increase in the number of umrah departure groups from one to 3–5 groups per month. However, this achievement does not yet align with the company's 29-branch network. These results indicate that, despite the growth in departures, the branch network has not been fully optimized. The continued use of conventional promotional strategies targeted primarily at the Muhammadiyah community is a limiting factor. Nevertheless, the acquisition succeeded in forming a broader market structure, supported by Muhammadiyah’s strong branding as one of Indonesia’s largest Islamic organizations. This study contributes to management practice, particularly in managing the integration of community-based organizations to better leverage network potential and brand strength.

Abstract

Cases of rental vehicle embezzlement are becoming increasingly prevalent, yet there are no specific legal regulations governing such cases, leading to uncertainty in the enforcement of the law. The purpose of this study is to examine the application of Article 372 and which regulations are appropriate to apply in Case No. 1517/Pid.B/2023/PN Mdn, whether they are appropriate or not in the sentencing of the suspect for the misuse of a four-wheeled vehicle. The type of research used by the researcher is normative legal research. The approach in this study applies the Statute Approach, the Regulatory Approach, and the Conceptual Approach, which provides a perspective in analyzing solutions to problems. The strategy for collecting legal materials in this research uses the method of legal data mining through library research, which is conducted using interpretation of legal materials. The research findings show that in decision No. 1517/Pid.B/2023/PN Mdn, there were problems with the judge's decision in case No. 1517/Pid.B/2023/PN Mdn, including the judge's consideration of one of the elements in the act. The judge applied Article 372, but in the chronology of events, there was an element of Article 378 in the sequence of events. The possession of property obtained through fraudulent means or deceit, which benefits one party and harms another, should have led the court to apply the provisions of Article 378 on fraud, as the sequence of events contained elements of Article 378. The research conclusion indicates that there are no clear legal provisions as a basis for cases of embezzlement of four-wheeled vehicles in the car rental sector, resulting in many individuals engaging in misconduct in such rental activities.

Abstract

Religious Moderation that provides a comprehensive perspective on moderation in the Indonesian context. M. Quraish Shihab’s activeness in writing tafsir works and his moderate attitude in responding to differences among Muslims are added values. This study aims to understand his views on religious moderation and how these values ​​can be applied in education to create harmony amidst diversity. This study uses the library research method, where researchers collect various relevant literature.Religious moderation education is a systematic and holistic process in instilling balanced, inclusive, and contextual Islamic values, which aims to form a tolerant, critical, and humanity-oriented Muslim personality through the integration of prophetic values, rational and spiritual balance, and peaceful national commitment in a pluralistic society. The application of prophetic education in religious moderation, which includes three main values: humanization, liberation, and transcendence. These values ​​are very important in Islamic education because they are able to create individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have high social and spiritual awareness. Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi defines justice as the peak of moderation, which must be realized in the social and educational systems. Meanwhile, M. Quraish Shihab emphasized that Islam recognizes the needs of humanity and spirituality in a balanced manner. Then the definition of religious moderation education was found which was formulated from several indicators above through the analysis of the two books Kalimat fi al-Wasathiyyah wa Ma’alimuha and Wasathiyah: Islamic insight into religious moderation, namely, “Religious moderation education is a systematic and holistic process in instilling balanced, inclusive, and contextual Islamic values, which aims to form a Muslim personality that is tolerant, critical, and oriented towards humanity.

Abstract

There are still many students in the madrasah who do not possess the ability to read the Al-Qur’an well and correctly. Therefore, appropriate teaching strategies from Al-Qur’an Hadith teachers are needed to develop this skill. This study aims to describe the strategies used by Al-Qur’an Hadith teachers in improving the reading skills of the Al-Qur’an among seventh-grade students at MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers apply the Iqra’ method with a direct, individual, modular, CBSA (Active Student Learning) approach, and peer assistance. This strategy has proven effective in enhancing students' reading fluency. However, there are obstacles such as a lack of motivation, minimal parental support, and limited learning time. To address these challenges, teachers implement personal and collaborative approaches. In conclusion, the learning strategy using the Iqra’ method contributes positively and gradually to the improvement of students' Al-Qur’an reading abilities. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of more effective Al-Qur’an teaching methods in madrasahs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Zainab al-Ghazali’s interpretation of the concept of qiwāmah in the Qur’an, particularly as articulated in her exegetical work Nazharat fi Kitabillah. Employing a qualitative approach and library research methodology, the study integrates thematic interpretation (tafsir maudhu’i) and character-based interpretation methods. It focuses on how Zainab understands male leadership over women through key verses such as Q.S. an-Nisā’ [4]:34 and Q.S. at-Taubah [9]:71–72, situating qiwāmah within a framework of justice, moral responsibility, and spiritual equality. The findings reveal that Zainab rejects patriarchal readings that legitimize male dominance and instead conceptualizes qiwāmah as a moral trust that demands justice, compassion, and shared responsibility. She emphasizes the Qur'anic notion that believing men and women are guardians of one another, thus affirming moral and spiritual parity despite role distinctions. Her approach, which blends textual fidelity with contextual awareness, provides a bridge between classical interpretations and contemporary Islamic feminist discourse. This study concludes that Zainab al-Ghazali offers a significant contribution to the discourse on women’s tafsir by affirming a Quranic gender model rooted in ethical leadership and communal harmony. Her exegesis demonstrates that gender justice in Islam can be pursued within the bounds of Qur’anic orthodoxy.

Abstract

Ethics today face significant challenges along with the advancement of time. This moral crisis is exacerbated by the declining role of families and the environment in providing strong moral education examples. The ethics of society is decreasing day by day, manners have disappeared in the eyes of the public, politeness is neglected, there is no longer a sense of respect between children and parents, the relationship between teachers and students has cracked, student brawls occur everywhere, all of this is caused by the decline in moral values. One effective method of shaping students' ethics is by using the living Qur'an approach. This concept emphasizes that the Qur'an is not only to be read but also must be practiced in daily life. To address this issue, an approach is needed that can be used to shape students' ethics through the living Qur'an. This research discusses the formation of students' ethics through the implementation of the living Qur'an at MTs IRA Medan. This research aims to analyze how the living Quran contributes to the formation of students' character. This study employs qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the application of the living Quran at MTs IRA Medan has been integrated into learning activities and the school culture. The character development process is carried out through habituation activities such as reading the Quran before and after studying, Islamic social activities, reading Yasin/Al-Kahfi every Friday, muhadarah activities, and congregational Dhuha prayers. This program is highly effective in shaping students' character, especially supported by the role model of teachers, parental involvement, and consistency in its implementation.

Abstract

From the initial observation on 11-10-2024 at SMPS Al-Wasliyah I Medan, the current learning process in the subject of Akidah Akhlak has been going well, because the teacher’s accuracy in choosing the model and learning media in approaching, methods, choosing teaching materials, providing media such as textbooks, interaction patterns with students and classroom management that can create a pleasant learning atmosphere. However, the learning method used by the teacher of the subject of akidah akhlak at SMPS is a method that is less varied or like in general, namely the lecture method, discussion, demonstration and memorization. The purpose of this study is to increase the effectiveness of the use of Tiktok-based Akidah Akhlak learning media in order to improve learning outcomes and student creativity at Al-Washliyah Medan School. This research method uses the Research and Development/R&D research method which is translated into Indonesian as design and development research. The results of the study stated that the TikTok application is feasible, effective and practical as a learning medium because students cannot be separated from technology and social media. It is the educator’s job to guide students to display positive things on social media and guide them to think critically when they see bad things such as videos containing negative content. Learning carried out through TikTok is able to provide good learning and is able to improve students’ critical thinking skills because it is able to attract students’ interest in carrying out learning with the conclusion of implementing Akidah Akhlak learning using a curriculum adjusted by the government. Based on data obtained from the results of extensive trials, it was found that the development of TikTok-based Akidah Akhlak learning media in addition to students being able to carry out individual and independent learning activities.

Abstract

The implementation of yellow books in the education curriculum can be problematic when an institution does not prioritize the quality of learning from the book. Research on the problem of yellow books is important to do considering its relevance to learning methods that emphasize mastery of foreign languages ​​and in-depth study of material directly from primary sources. Based on field observations, several significant obstacles were found: low active participation of students in the process of learning yellow books which has an impact on decreasing their motivation to study fiqh through this medium, minimal understanding of students on the basic sciences for studying yellow books, namely nahwu and shorof, the dominance of traditional learning approaches such as memorization and lecture methods that do not accommodate contemporary learning styles. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of fiqh learning using yellow books at MAS Al-Washliyah 1 Medan Area and Madrasah Aliyah Muallimin Univa.This study uses a qualitative-analytical method. This method aims to examine in depth various phenomena experienced by the research object as a whole, such as behavioral patterns, perspectives, motivation to act, and other aspects. The study was conducted through analysis using systematic and structured language, paying attention to certain natural contexts and using various natural methods. The implementation of fiqh learning with yellow books at MAS Al-Washliyah 1 Medan Area and MA Muallimin UNIVA Medan is guided by the Al-Jamiatul Al-Washliyah curriculum. This curriculum was prepared by the Al-Jamiatul Al-Washliyah Executive Board and stipulates ten religious subjects using yellow books, including fiqh lessons. For fiqh subjects, both madrasas use the book “Minhajjul Thalibin” written by Imam An-Nawawi. This book is used for all levels from class X to class XII with a systematic division of material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of exchanging Rupiah money ahead of Lebaran in Medan City and its impact from the perspective of Islamic law and economics. The phenomenon of non-official money changers that is rampant in various locations such as Medan Tembung, Medan Helvet, and Merdeka Square raises questions related to the status of sharia law and the socio-economic effects for the community. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field research method and descriptive analysis. The results show that the practice of money changers is generally carried out with various schemes, including the addition of administrative fees of up to 20%, a reduction in the exchange rate, or online transactions. From the perspective of muamalah fiqh, this kind of transaction has the potential to contain riba fadhl due to the additional measure of similar objects, so it is classified as haram. However, if the contract used is ijarah - with a clear and transparent fee - then the transaction can be justified under Islamic law. On the other hand, this practice provides economic benefits to consumers who need money quickly, although it comes with the risk of spreading counterfeit money, disturbing public order, and unwittingly violating sharia norms. This research contributes to understanding the application of Islamic law to contemporary economic phenomena and recommends the need for stricter regulations from relevant authorities and Islamic law education for the community.

Abstract

This study tries to find out how using Quizizz as a way to check learning affects students' results in the subject World and Hereafter Balance at MTsN 1 Kota Palangka Raya. The study uses an experimental approach with a design that only includes a post-test for comparison. Two classes were involved: class VIII-5 as the control group and class VIII-7 as the experimental group, making a total of 60 students. The method used to select the students was purposive sampling. The data was analyzed with SPSS version 26, using an Independent Samples t-test and also a quantitative descriptive analysis through percentages. The findings showed that students in the experimental group had better learning results than those in the control group. Most students from both groups gave positive comments about using Quizizz, which was considered “good. ” The t-test results also showed a big difference between the two groups, meaning that using Quizizz had a significant effect. So, it is hoped that teachers can use interactive tools like Quizizz in their lessons to help students learn better and stay more engaged. The study suggests that using digital tools like Quizizz can be a good way to evaluate learning, and teachers should consider using this technology to improve learning results, engagement, and interest in learning. The implications of this study indicate that the use of interactive digital media such as Quizizz can be an effective alternative in the learning evaluation process. It is hoped that teachers can integrate this technology to improve student learning outcomes, engagement, and motivation in learning.
