Abstract

The murur scheme is a preventive measure in organizing the Hajj in 2024 where this scheme is a form of evaluation of the implementation of the Hajj in the previous year which is intended to maintain the safety and comfort of the elderly, high risk, disabled, and their companions, especially in avoiding the density of Muzdalifah. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the murur scheme using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. This research uses a qualitative approach with. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and analyzed descriptively. The results show that the murur scheme is a policy of field challenges and has a positive impact on the level of congregation satisfaction, safety and efficiency of the Hajj pilgrimage, but still requires strengthening in the aspects of coordination, training of officers and provision of adequate facilities for more optimal implementation in the future. This research is expected to provide empirical and practical contributions to the development of Hajj service policies that are more adaptive, inclusive, and based on the needs of priority pilgrim groups in the future.

Abstract

This study on the ethics of educators from the perspective of Imam Badruddin Ibn Jama’ah in the book Tadzkiratus Sami’ Wal Mutdcakallim FiiAdabil ‘Alim wal Muta’aliman dits relevance to the code of ethics of teachers in Indonesia fills some gaps in previous studies. The purpose of this study is toanalyze the ethics of educators from the perspective of Imam Badruddin Ibn Jama’ah in his bookTadzkiratus Sami’ Wal Mutakallim FiiAdabil ‘Alim wal Muta’alim. This study uses a type of research with a library research approach (Library Research), which is included in the category of qualitative research. The ethics of a teacher according to Imam Badruddin Ibn Jama’ah emphasizes the importance of spiritual, moral, and scientific integrity. Teachers must have muroqobah (a sense of being watched by Allah), maintain the nobility of knowledge, beascetic to wards the world, and cleanse their intentions from world lyambitions. Educator ethics play an important role in the formation of educator character who not only teaches knowledge, butals of ormsthemorals and ethics of students. In Islamic thought, educator ethics have been discussed by many figures, one of whom is Imam Badruddin Ibn Jama’ah (1241-1333 AD). In his work Tazkirat as-Sami’ waal-Mutakallim fi Adab al-‘Alim waal-Muta’allim, Imam Ibn Jama’ah provide sguidance on the behavior and manners that must be possessed by an educator. Educator ethics according to Imam Badruddin Ibn Jama’ah in Tadzkiratus Sami’ wal Mutakallim are very relevant and in line with the Code of Ethics for Teachers in Indonesia. Values ​​such as maintaining dignity, being fair, being humble, having noble morals, professionalism, and spiritual awareness (muroqobah) are the common foundation in forming ideal educators—both morally, intellectually, and spiritually. These ethics not only streng then the quality of teachers personally and professionally, butal so encourage the creation of a civilized, conducive, and transformative learning atmosphere.

Abstract

The implementation of umrah manasik guidance is the most important aspect in preparing the congregation, especially for beginners and the elderly so that they are able to understand the procedures for worship before leaving for the holy land. This study aims to describe the experiences and perceptions of the congregation towards the umrah manasik service provided by the Saibah Mulia Mandiri Semarang Bureau. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews with ten informants who are umrah pilgrims and one bureau staff. In analyzing, the researcher refers to the five dimensions of SERVQUAL, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results of the study indicate that the service is good with several suggestions for improvement in the form of adding animated media and practicing the pillars of tawaf and sa'i worship for the congregation. Apart from that, this study can provide practical contributions in improving the quality of service at the Umrah Pilgrimage Travel Organizer (PPIU).

Abstract

Teachers of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are essential to students' practical contributions because they help them develop moral character by imparting Islamic values. This entails setting a good example, encouraging moral consciousness, and inspiring students to absorb and carry out these principles on a regular basis. In addition to helping students build strong relationships with Allah SWT and others, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers who have a thorough understanding of character education can also help students develop into people who are honest, fair, responsible, empathetic, and honest. Descriptive qualitative methodology was employed, and a literature study was used to gather data. According to the study's analysis, pupils' development of noble character is greatly aided by their perception of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers as role models. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instructors might have a thorough understanding of Islamic religious concepts and moral principles, which are essential for cultivating noble character, thanks to insight into character education. Teachers of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) should keep refining their character education through professional communities, reading, and training.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Mosque Youth Coordination Board (BKRM) in strengthening worship education among youth in Tanjung Morawa. BKRM is an active organization that fosters young generations in understanding and practicing Islamic teachings in daily life through various religious and social activities. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through direct observation of religious activities, in-depth interviews with BKRM leaders, members, and mosque youth groups (KRM), and document analysis of program archives. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and were validated using triangulation techniques to ensure data accuracy. The findings indicate that BKRM plays a strategic role in enhancing worship education through programs such as ta’lim, Turba (community outreach), Hijram (Hijratul Muharram), daurah marhala ula, and solidarity actions for Palestine. These programs not only promote conceptual religious understanding but also instill worship values within a social context. BKRM’s success is supported by a spirit of togetherness, a religious social environment, and active guidance from mentors. However, several obstacles were identified, including personal busyness of the youth, lack of individual motivation, distant activity locations, and limited communication. This study concludes that religious organizations such as BKRM make a tangible contribution to strengthening both the understanding and practice of worship among youth. The findings provide practical insights for similar organizations to adopt or adapt BKRM’s youth development model in a more contextual and effective manner.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy in enhancing students’ understanding of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) material at SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The background of this research lies in the students' low comprehension of IRE subjects, which are often abstract and lack real-life context. The CTL strategy was chosen because it connects learning material with students' real-world experiences, making learning more meaningful and relevant. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design and a phenomenological perspective to explore the experiences of both students and teachers in depth. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data analysis technique followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the CTL strategy was effectively implemented through seven core components: constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment. Each component was integrated by teachers into the learning process, resulting in increased student engagement and a deeper, contextual understanding of IRE material. Supporting factors included the strong commitment of teachers, institutional support from the school, and students' enthusiasm. On the other hand, obstacles encountered in implementation included limited instructional time and insufficient parental involvement in the learning process at home. The study concludes that the CTL strategy significantly enhances students’ understanding of Islamic Religious Education when applied consistently with comprehensive support from educational stakeholders.

Abstract

The declining internalization of Hindu spiritual values, such as sradha (faith) and bhakti (devotion), among Hindu students has raised concerns in the field of education, particularly in Hindu Religious Education. This study aims to explore the implementation of differentiated instruction as a strategy to strengthen sradha and bhakti values at SMAN 1 Abiansemal. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study method, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that differentiated instruction through content, process, and product differentiation effectively accommodates students’ diverse readiness levels, interests, and learning styles. This strategy fosters active engagement in spiritual practices such as daily prayer, participation in religious activities, mutual cooperation, and acts of compassion. The approach also strengthens students’ religious behavior, ethical conduct, and social awareness, while enhancing their moral resilience against the negative influences of modernity. In conclusion, differentiated instruction proves to be a transformative pedagogical approach that not only conveys religious teachings cognitively but also instills them in concrete behavior, making it a relevant strategy for character building based on Hindu values in the contemporary era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the condition of students' Qur'an literacy, identify inhibiting factors, and formulate solution efforts at SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman models. The results of the study show that students' Qur'an literacy skills are at a low to moderate level, where most students still have difficulty reading with correct tajweed and writing Arabic letters correctly. The main inhibiting factors are divided into internal and external. Internally, the cause is low student motivation and lack of basic knowledge due to diverse religious educational backgrounds. Externally, the main obstacles come from the lack of parental support and supervision as well as limited time and facilities at school. To overcome this problem, comprehensive efforts are needed. Based on the findings, the proposed solutions include the addition of special lesson hours for reading and writing the Qur'an, the use of digital media for interactive learning, and the application of more practical learning methods. Although various proposals have been submitted by teachers, their implementation has not yet been fully realized. This study concludes that collaboration between schools, teachers, and families is crucial to improve students' Qur'an literacy effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the implementation of the Learning Starts with a Question strategy in improving the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP IT Nurul Ilmi. The background of this research is the low active participation of students and the understanding of the material that is not optimal. This strategy was chosen because it emphasizes questions as a starting point for learning, which has the potential to encourage critical and active student engagement. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consisted of one PAI teacher and three grade VIII students at Nurul Ilmi IT Junior High School. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed with stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the Learning Start with a Question strategy is effective in improving student learning outcomes, both cognitively and affectively. Cognitively, this strategy has been proven to facilitate a deeper understanding of the material, which is reflected in the average grade point average that reaches above the KKM. Affectively, this strategy successfully fosters active participation, courage to ask questions, and a positive attitude towards learning. Teachers act as facilitators who manage discussions, while students become more independent and motivated. However, there are challenges related to students' readiness to read the material and the lack of parental support. Overall, this study concludes that the Learning Starts with a Question strategy is an effective method to create interactive, participatory, and holistic PAI learning.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a major impact on the dissemination of information, including in the entertainment and film industries. One prominent phenomenon is the increasing ease of access to film content containing intimate scenes through digital streaming applications. This study aims to examine how Islamic criminal law views such actions, as well as their relevance to the principles of ḥisbah and ta‘zīr in enforcing public morality. The method used is a normative qualitative study with a legal-theological approach. The data sources used include the Qur'an, Hadith, and the opinions of classical and contemporary scholars on pornography. The results of the study indicate that the distribution of film content containing intimate scenes is prohibited (ḥarām) because it contradicts the maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, particularly in the aspect of hifẓ al-‘irḍ (preserving honor). In the context of Islamic criminal law, perpetrators may be subject to ta‘zīr sanctions in accordance with the policies of the authorities (ulil amri) in order to protect the interests of the community and prevent further moral decay. This study recommends strengthening Sharia-based regulations in the supervision of digital content, as well as the active role of authoritative Islamic institutions in media ethics education and advocacy.
