Abstract

Educational digitalization demands the precise integration of digital technology, yet its application in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) within vocational schools frequently encounters infrastructural challenges and teacher pedagogical readiness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of e-learning-based digital technology in IRE learning at SMK Muhammadiyah Sumowono, its implications for the instruction, and the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its execution. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving two IRE teachers and one Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teacher. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that e-learning implementation utilized Google Classroom, WhatsApp, YouTube, Quranku, and Muslim Pro to support material delivery, communication, evaluation, and practical religious learning. This integration enhanced material accessibility and supported the visualization of abstract concepts in alignment with digital constructivism and the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. However, its effectiveness remained largely limited to a passive administrative function in classroom management. Supporting factors included the availability of students' devices, supportive school policies, and teacher adaptability. Conversely, inhibiting factors comprised unstable internet bandwidth, variations in teachers' digital literacy, as well as digital distractions and pseudo-engagement among students. In conclusion, while e-learning implementation is adaptive enough to optimize learning, its sustainability requires continuous strengthening of teachers' digital competence, infrastructure upgrades, and the consistent application of blended learning methods.

Abstract

Dresta is a living customary norm used to resolve social problems in Tengkulung Customary Village. However, its application in handling pregnancies outside marriage has not been documented, particularly regarding its basis, institutional procedures, and implications for affected parties. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forms and validity of dresta, its implementation process, and its implications for individuals, families, and the community’s socio-religious life. This study employed a descriptive-interpretive qualitative method. Fourteen informants were purposively selected from customary officials, Kertha Desa, youth, government, security personnel, religious figures, women and men previously involved, and their families. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically and validated through source and method triangulation. The results show that the 2018 Awig-Awig of Tengkulung Customary Village does not explicitly regulate obligations for pregnancies outside marriage. Submitting one kilogram of rice and performing mecaru are recognized as dresta determined after clarification and a paruman decision. Termination of customary village membership is not automatic, but constitutes a final measure following repeated refusal to comply with a valid decision. The process includes confidential reporting, verification, examination, family mediation, paruman, determination of obligations, implementation, monitoring, and social reintegration. These findings confirm that dresta’s legitimacy depends on collective acceptance, institutional decisions, proportional obligations, and protection of affected parties. In conclusion, dresta clarifies responsibility and supports socio-religious recovery, but may produce stigma, gender-based pressure, and uncertainty when procedures are undocumented. Therefore, written guidelines, confidentiality, balanced responsibility, and protection for women and children are required.

Abstract

Geguritan Jayaprana is a classical Balinese literary work that embodies the philosophical, religious, and sociocultural values of Balinese Hindu society. However, studies that integratively examine this work from an axiological perspective by connecting its ethical, aesthetic, religious, and sociocultural dimensions remain limited. This study aims to analyze the existence of Geguritan Jayaprana as a representation of axiological, religious, and sociocultural values that shape the worldview of Balinese Hindu society. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design based on library research. The primary data were derived from Ketut Ginarsa’s 1978 text of Geguritan Jayaprana and analyzed using content analysis, a hermeneutic approach, and an axiological perspective. The findings reveal that the ethical dimension is manifested through the values of satya, bhakti, loyalty, responsibility, and sacrifice, as reflected in Jayaprana’s character. The aesthetic dimension is evident in the portrayal of tragedy, narrative structure, symbolism, and the use of Pupuh Ginada, which intensifies the emotional atmosphere. The religious dimension is represented through the teachings of Karma Phala, Punarbhawa, Dharma, and the harmony between Bhuana Agung and Bhuana Alit. Meanwhile, the sociocultural dimension reflects feudal social structures, collectivist culture, etiquette, loyalty, and criticism of the abuse of power. The interconnection among these dimensions demonstrates that individual, spiritual, and social values are integrated as guidelines for establishing harmonious relationships among human beings, society, nature, and God in contemporary Balinese Hindu life. The findings indicate that Geguritan Jayaprana functions not merely as entertainment but also as a medium for moral education, character development, religious teaching transmission, and cultural identity preservation. This study concludes that Geguritan Jayaprana is a relevant source of cultural literacy for revitalizing local values, strengthening ethical and religious awareness, and responding to social changes and the challenges of globalization.
