Educan: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is a journal published by Islamic Education Departement Faculty of Education University of Darussalam Gontor. ISSN : 2597-9043. It publishes only original papers on Islamic education. Educan is a scientific media to develop the quality of academicians in Islamic universities in Indonesia, especially in the University of Darussalam Gontor. The aim of Educan journal is to publish high-quality articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Islamic education. The scope of this journal is about Islamic Education, Moral Education, Education of Pesantren (Pondok), Education Technology, Learning Methods, Curriculum Design and Development. It was first published in 2017 in press version and published by an online system in 2018.

Abstract

The implementation of the Kulliyatul Mu'alimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) curriculum in Islamic boarding schools is crucial for the development of quality education in Indonesia. This study focuses on the implementation of the KMI curriculum at Darusy Syahadah Islamic Boarding School Boyolali and Ta’mirul Islam Islamic Boarding School Sragen. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal the comprehensive planning, execution, and evaluation of the curriculum. Despite facing challenges such as integration with graduation competency standards, excessive subject load, limited resources, and teacher constraints, the schools employ various strategies including curriculum adjustments, teacher training, and student support mechanisms to enhance implementation. The leadership role of school administrators, effective curriculum coordination, and continuous evaluation mechanisms play pivotal roles in addressing challenges and improving curriculum implementation. This study underscores the importance of adaptive strategies and collaborative efforts in ensuring the effectiveness of the KMI curriculum in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The world of education today confronts challenges associated with individuals of noble character. There are problems along with the development of the times, including juvenile delinquency, promiscuity, brawls between students, and moral degradation. Related to this phenomenon, nowadays there are rampant formal institutions (formal schools), which also have boarding schools and Islamic boarding schools. The institution was established in an effort to improve Islamic education, which also contains morals. The focus of this research problem has been directed to the study of (1) Islamic education in boarding school-based formal schools (MAN 1 Malang City), (2) Islamic education in islamic boarding school-based formal schools (MA An Nur Bululawang-Malang), and (3) characteristics of Islamic education in boarding school-based formal schools (MAN 1 Malang City) and islamic boarding schools (MA An Nur Bululawang-Malang). The method used in this study is a qualitative approach (comparative study). The data analysis used involves analyzing all existing data, reducing data, compiling data into units, and categorizing data. The last stage carried out is to check the validity of the data. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded. (1) Islamic education in boarding school-based formal schools (MAN 1 Malang City) has a level of effectiveness of Islamic education both in terms of quality and quantity. (2) Islamic education in formal boarding school-based schools (MA An Nur Bululawang-Malang) has become a tradition/culture, formal schools adopt Islamic education values sourced from Islamic boarding schools, (3) The characteristics of Islamic education in boarding school-based formal schools occur The balance between religious and general knowledge, the margin between the two, is not too large. Meanwhile, Islamic education in formal boarding school-based schools adopts boarding values in every activity at school

Abstract

One of the subject matter contained in Islamic education is Tarikh Islam lessons. Tarikh Islam are one of the required lessons for students to be taught at Darussalam Modern Islamic Boarding School, which is lesson learns about Islamic history including the story of Rasulullah, Khulafaur Rashidin, Companions of Rasulullah and others. In teaching and learning activities, media is one of the important factors in learning. In view of the scores obtained by grade 3 H students in Islamic date lessons, there are 20 out of 37 students or 53% of students who get scores below the passing score standard, it is due to the lack of teachers in providing innovation in learning activities so that students become bored and do not pay attention to the lessons taught. And one of the innovations that can be used is with (Tree Chart) media learning. This study aims to, improve student activeness and learning outcomes in Islamic date subjects Class 3 H at at Darussalam Modern Islamic Boarding School by using Tree Chart learning media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. In this study, researchers as teaching teachers and assisted by an Observer who supervises the condition of students. This research consists of the first cycle and the second cycle which consists of: Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. Data collection techniques and tools in this study are using descriptive analysis techniques on data in the form of documentation of student learning outcomes, observation sheets and test results The results of this study show that (1) the application of tree chart learning media can increase student activity. With the presentation value of student activeness in the first cycle which reached 61.37% and increased in the second cycle which reached 84.12% with the presntase there was a difference between the first and second cycles which reached 22.75%. (2) The application of tree chart learning media can improve student learning outcomes. The percentage in the first cycle of students who completed learning was 22 students out of 37 students or reached 59.45% with an average score of 5.91 and in the second cycle as many as 37 students or reached 100% with an average score of 7.78. With the explanation above, it can be concluded that tree chart learning media can increase student activeness and learning outcomes. Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of the Integration of Direct Instruction Methods and Independent Learning Curriculum in the Teacher Training and Development Program (TTDP) at Darussalam Gontor University. The study employs a case study method to delve into the understanding of the execution, strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities within this integration. Findings reveal that TTDP at Darussalam Gontor University follows a three-step process: planning, execution, and evaluation. The execution involves the delivery of basic TTDP content, practical activities, and evaluation through tests and learning observations. The strengths of this integration lie in the enhancement of teaching quality, enabling trainee teachers to design more engaging learning experiences. However, challenges surface in the form of initial resistance to a shift in teaching paradigms and the need for institutional support. Opportunities exist in developing the professionalism of aspiring teachers and creating dynamic teaching materials. This research provides in-depth insights into the TTDP implementation, highlighting both positive changes and obstacles that need to be addressed. It contributes to understanding how the integration of direct instruction methods and independent learning curriculum can improve teacher training within this university context

Abstract

Indonesia is rich in culture, the importance of re-understanding the oral traditions of society. Instilling religious values ​​through tembang dolanan to build children's moral character is now a very urgent and unavoidable challenge and problem. Children's dolanan songs are local cultural wisdom as a medium for forming children's character. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the religious values ​​contained in tembang dolanan as a form of children's character. The research design uses a descriptive-qualitative method, while the data collection technique uses a literature study. In this study, it was found first; that there are religious values ​​in children's tembang dolanan, these values ​​are in accordance with Javanese cultural norms. Religious values ​​in tembang dolanan have an influence on religious teachings, especially Islam. Second; using and instilling religious values ​​through tembang dolanan can help students get to know themselves, their own culture, and the culture of others, express language, find and use analytical and imaginative abilities that exist within themselves.

Abstract

The moral reconstruction of students in Islamic education is to emphasize the necessity and importance of Islamic education in Indonesia. This arrangement and rearrangement is intended so that Islamic education both institutions and learning materials. Even education in the era of society 5.0, allows students in learning activities side by side with technology. Disruption in the world of education, especially in Islamic education, is inevitable. Thus, activists and education stakeholders get an overview of the urgency of the presence of technology in the era of society 5.0 in the world of Islamic education in particular. The research approach is qualitative and this research method used is a literature review the method used is descriptive analysis by collecting data through written literature in the form of books, scientific journals as the main source which is used to describe the reconstruction of Islamic education in the era of society 5.0.

Abstract

Abstract Various function of Masjid as a centre of education since the begining of islamic age pulled the society to embrace a program and event in it. As the aging population going to touch it’s peak and the needs of carrying the Lansia is inevetible, Pesantren Husnul Khatimah bring a bunch of method and programs that fix the problems. The method of research is Qualitative based on literature and phenomena description. It leads to show that Masjid take a huge part of elderly education. Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become an important element in supporting educational transformation in the era of society 5.0. This research aims to identify AI-based curriculum adaptation strategies that are relevant to the educational needs of the 21st century. The method used is literature by analyzing various literature, implementation practices, and case studies related to AI in education. This research focuses on three main aspects: planning, implementation, and evaluation of an AI-based curriculum. The research results show that AI can help curriculum planning through in-depth data analysis to produce adaptive learning materials that suit student preferences. In implementation, AI supports personalized learning through the use of virtual tutors, chatbots, and recommendation systems that adapt to individual learning styles. AI-based evaluation enables real-time data analysis to discover strengths and weaknesses in the learning process, thereby improving the overall quality of teaching. This research concludes that an AI-based curriculum can create education that is more inclusive, adaptive, and relevant to future needs. However, successful implementation requires technological infrastructure support, adequate digital literacy, and ethical guidelines for using AI in education

Abstract

Korupsi di Indonesia diyakini telah menjadi bagian dari struktur sosial yang mengakar. ICW melaporkan bahwa angka kasus korupsi sepanjang 2023 mencapai angka tertinggi dalam lima tahun terakhir, dengan potensi kerugian negara mencapai Rp28,4 triliun. Korupsi merusak nilai-nilai integritas dan identitas suatu bangsa yang berujung pada penurunan kualitas perilaku manusia secara sistemik jika tidak diberantas. Upaya dalam bidang pendidikan Islam telah dilakukan melalui pendidikan karakter untuk membentuk individu yang menolak korupsi. Namun, upaya berbasis individu belum cukup untuk memberantas korupsi yang sistemik. Penelitian ini mengembangkan pendekatan pendidikan anti-korupsi yang tidak hanya membentuk moralitas individu, tetapi juga gerakan kolektif untuk melawan korupsi melalui integrasi teori Critical Pedagogy Paulo Freire dengan pendidikan Islam.   Pendekatan ini melibatkan tiga tahap; 1) Kesadaran Tauhid bahwa Allah Maha Adil, Maha Bijaksana. Allah menciptakan sistem kehidupan alam semesta berdasar sunatullah yang bergerak menuju keseimbangan. Korupsi merusak sistem keseimbangan yang harus dinetralisir berdasar kaidah hukum 2) Muhasabah sebagai sarana dialogis reflektif untuk memahami konsekuensi atas setiap tindakan dan hubungan antara korupsi dengan individu serta menegaskan bahwa perubahan dimulai dari setiap individu 3) Islam mengajarkan individu untuk memberi kontribusi positif kepada masyarakat melalui amar makruf nahi mungkar. Pendidikan tidak berhenti pada moralitas individu, tetapi berlanjut pada ikhtiar kolektif untuk memberantas korupsi sistemik.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a verse of Allah which literally means "perfect reading. The implementation of the concept of Living Qur'an in learning at MA Matholi'ul Huda Bugel is an important focus in the study of Islamic education This research underlines the importance of teachers' creativity in delivering material, which can be adapted in the implementation of learning at MA Matholi'ul Huda Bugel to improve students' ability to read the Qur'an. "Teaching Material Development Practical Guidelines For Reading Al-Qur'an in Learning Al-Qur'an at Griya Al-Qur'an of Surabaya" by Khoirul Huda and Mahsun Jayadi.  highlights the challenges in the development of teaching materials effective. The education taught is an education that is considered to be able to provide the best provisions for students. There are many ways done by educational institutions to improve the quality of students' morals. The methodology of this study uses a qualitative approach to gain a deep understanding of the implementation of the concept of Living Qur'an in learning at MA Matholi'ul Huda Bugel.
