Abstract

This study aims to describe curriculum development during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP IT Mutiara, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. A qualitative approach is used in this study with the case study method. In an effort to reveal the facts and phenomena surrounding the curriculum development, the researchers collected data through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study concluded that the development of the IT Mutiara Middle School learning curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic was managed effectively, also taking into account the principles of safety and security for school residents according to applicable regulations. This is marked by 5 aspects, namely (1) the planning aspect, including meetings with the management and teachers of SMP IT Mutiara, consultation with the school's managerial supervisor, and approval of the plan from the Deli Serdang education office, (2) organizational aspects, including the curricular with an eye group A and B lessons, co-curricular, extra-curricular with scouts and tahfiz of the Qur'an, as well as local content on information and communication technology (ICT) material, (3) implementation aspects, five days (Monday-Friday) effective learning days , Saturdays extracurricular activities with the person in charge of the teachers who have been determined, (4) aspects of supervision, including direct supervision by the school principal and school managerial supervisors, related to academic administration and services, and (5) evaluation aspects including a review of the achievement of goals and process of the learning system, so that curriculum implementation can be analyzed, making accountability reports, and recommendations for next steps.

Abstract

This study aims to explore forms of school cultural activities which are allegedly an effort to strengthen students' religious moderation values. Schools are considered as institutions that are capable of coloring and even changing the mindset, character and even behavior of its citizens so that from the womb of the school it is hoped that human beings will be born who reconcile, spread love and create national unity and integrity. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, namely uncovering phenomena or symptoms that occur related to strengthening religious moderation values through school culture. In this study, the research subjects were selected purposively, so the informants in this study were the head of SMA Y Palembang, the representatives, the teacher council, students, stakeholders and other relevant informants where data was collected by observing a number of objects related to research problems. and in-depth interviews with a number of informants and supported by data collected using documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is qualitative data analysis with three activities namely data reduction, display and verification.The results of the study show that the school culture developed at SMA Y is classified into two cultural groups, namely formal activities which include morning breafing activities, and collective prayer, core activities by applying methods oriented towards strengthening the value of moderation and closing activities which contain motivation and advice. In these activities, the values of religious moderation are strengthened, including the value of tolerance or tasamuh through morning briefings and joint prayers with school members and in class activities through the discussion method of strengthening values not only on tasamuh values but on the values of tatawur walibtikar or dynamic and innovative while in closing activities  in the form of motivation and advice by strengthening the value of tasamuh and  tawazun as well as tawasuth fellow school members. Furthermore, in the form of non-formal activities there are spiritual activities and candles where these two activities are religious study activities for Muslims and non-Muslims which in their implementation link tasamuh values. In addition, there are also field trips and social services that seek to strengthen the values of tawasuth, tasamuh and tawazun among school members. It turns out that schools with relatively diverse students through school culture are able to strengthen the values of religious moderation in order to create peace and harmony among school members.

Abstract

The learning process is carried out via online methods, such as IAIN Curup, to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Online learning has been used by SMP Negeri 20 Kota Tangerang since April 2020. The instructors employ a variety of online tools to facilitate effective learning while students are taking courses online. The goal of this study is to determine how well the Google Classroom application can enhance the educational experience of SMP Negeri 20 Kota Tangerang students during the Covid 19 pandemic. This study adopted a qualitative methodology, and its non-statistical methods of data analysis were qualitative in nature. Research information was gathered by observation, documentation, and interviews. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of learning with Google Classroom by using tactics including assignments and observations, problem-based learning models and field trips, evaluation in the form of questions, and product development. The ease of use, data savings for mobile devices, accuracy in task collection, and memory savings offered by Google Classroom are only a few of its benefits. Meanwhile, the drawback is that communication is not well established.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the praxis of active learning in the Islamic perspective of the Educational Psychology course with the application of educational technology with the dimensions of students and lecturers at IAIN Kudus, as well as describe the impact and accompanying the implementation of learning. This research with a qualitative approach is Class Action Research (CAR) by adopting the Kemmis and McTaggart stages in the form of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The social situation of this research includes Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) Teacher Education students Class of 2020 with learning process activities. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and questionnaires as triangulation. Active learning in the student dimension describes (a) the courage to express opinions, thoughts, feelings, and the courage to take part in lectures and assignments, (b) effort and creativity, freedom of innovation making exposure equipped with hyperlinks, interactive videos and individual learning games and group collaboration. Active learning in the lecturer dimension illustrates (a) efforts to foster and encourage students to increase enthusiasm, and participation by providing opportunities to function resources and creativity (b) carrying out functions and roles as innovators, motivators, and dynamic actors through e-learning, (c) inspiring actively exploring the sites and sources of knowledge needed, (d) providing opportunities for students to facilitate differences of opinion, (e) the ability to use a variety of strategies teaching and learning with a multimedia approach. The impact that describes the implementation of learning is the fundamentals of Islamic 5i (internalization, correction, substitution, addition, and fixation).

Abstract

Pedagogic competencies are urgently needed by teachers, but unfortunately, learning in tertiary institutions is not fully capable of forming these competencies. There are several problems that are often experienced, but several universities certainly have their own efforts to overcome them. This study aims to analyze the problems of pedagogic competence of prospective PAI educators, efforts to establish pedagogic competence of prospective PAI educators, and success factors in efforts to establish pedagogic competence of prospective PAI educators. The research was carried out at the PAI STAI Sumatra Medan study program using a qualitative research type based on a case study approach. Research informants, namely study program leaders, lecturers, and students of the PAI study program, The results of the study reveal that: (1) the problems of pedagogic competence in PAI educator candidates, namely the distribution of subjects that are not dominant in pedagogic competence, learning is not yet fully practical or field study in nature, prospective educators master the material but it is difficult to manage learning, prospective educators often apply style classical teaching, domination of mastery of western-based pedagogical competencies; (2) efforts to establish the pedagogic competence of prospective PAI educators are carried out in four steps, namely updating the curriculum, establishing a laboratory tsanawiyah madrasah, skill-based learning orientation, forming an integration-based academic culture; (3) the success factor in the effort to establish competence can be seen from the positive student response to the various steps implemented by the study program leaders, especially the establishment of a laboratory tsanawiyah madrasah.

Abstract

Idealism plays a significant role in the world of education. Education is more than just trying to achieve learning outcomes; it is also about how to obtain results or learning processes in children. Thus, in education, there must be a balance between the process and the learning outcomes. An ideal education is thought to be capable of serving human growth in all aspects, including spiritual, intellectual, imaginative, and scientific growth. The Qur'an is a guide for Muslims that contains guidelines for living in the world. Al-Qur'an is a book that can answer all of the world's problems, including educational problems, which are also explained in it. Surah Luqman verses 12-19 contain many of these educational values. Educational values based on Surah Luqman form the foundation of education and should serve as a guideline for all Muslims. The authors conducted library research in this study, which focused on library books and other literature. Based on the research objectives, it includes basic research, i.e. research to broaden and deepen theoretical knowledge. The study's findings show that the idealism of Islamic education in the Qur'an basically directs humans to know their true identity and function in accordance with it. Educational idealism focuses on five important issues in human life: monotheism education, worship education, ethics or morals education, mental education, and life management education. Thus, it is hoped that humans will be able to develop themselves optimally in order to achieve happiness in their lives both now and in the future.

Abstract

Understanding the interpretation of the Qur'an as the basis for the life of Muslims is very important. This refers to the rules and regulations that apply the Islamic religion to all aspects of Muslim life. Several steps that can be implemented in understanding the content and interpretation of the Qur’an are using an independent method by reading various literature recommended or written by commentators, or even following studies on the interpretation of the Qur’an, both formal and non-formal, that have been carried out in various forms, both in writing and orally. These efforts are not only about reaching certain targets among the common people; they must also be among the elite and community leaders, so that they will not only be recipients of knowledge about the Qur'an but also presenters and givers. This effort must be developed and increased again in the future in order to make the Qur'an a source of nur, huda, and dhikr for the people as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program with the subject of Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK), in order to create an educated generation who master science and technology (IPTEK) and have Islamic character at the Faculty of Islamic Religion. Religion (FAI), Makassar Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh Makassar). The research method used is the research and development (R and D) method, in which researchers attempt to produce a particular product and test the effectiveness of the product. In this research, a product was developed and produced in the form of guidelines for the implementation of MBKM in Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan subjects. There are 10 steps carried out in development research according to Sugiyono's theory, namely (1) Potential and Problems, (2) Data Collection, (3) Product Design, (4) Design Validation, (5) Revision Design, (6) Product Trial , (7) Product Revision, (8) Trial use, (9) Product Revision, (10) Mass production. The results showed that: 1. MBKM in Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan subjects can be implemented well, based on the results of a survey conducted on lecturers and students, 2. MBKM in Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan subjects in its implementation need to prepare supporting documents first, in this is the AIK MBKM guidebook and SOP, 3. MBKM in the Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan program needs to be socialized in stages to all Muhammadiyah Makassar University academics and campus partners, and 4. MBKM in Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan subjects can be implemented in various forms of programs , namely: Internships, Thematic KKN, and Research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengeksplorasi peran pemikiran Az-Zarnuji dalam sistem pendidikan abad pertengahan, studi analisis kitab Ta’limul Muta’alim. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan pendalaman teori dan Analisis Isi pada suatu pustaka, baik dari buku maupun jurnal yang berkaitan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menggaris bawahi bahwa Az-Zarnuji Penulis kitab Ta’limul Muta’alim memberikan banyak panduan bagi para murid atau pelajar. Bimbingan tersebut meliputi pemilihan guru dan teman yang dapat menjadi guru dan teman untuk berdiskusi dan mencari solusi terhadap masalah-masalah tertentu. Selain itu, pengarang juga memberikan beberapa cara untuk menghormati orang yang berilmu dan yang berilmu. Singkatnya, Az-Zarnuji menjadi referensi yang dapat diandalkan bagi para pencari ilmu. Az-Zarnuji hidup di masa pesatnya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan untuk itu kitab ini dapat menjadi penyeimbang akhlak bagi para pencari ilmu pengetahuan agar bisa menjadi orang yang berilmu tinggi dan berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the marketing of education services by educational institutions which are now facing a lot of challenges in this global era. The marketing of educational serviceis is a strategy to increases school interest for students at this time, which is the most important element for the quality and development of education in an educational institution. The paper will discuss more specifically how marketing is applied in MAN Insan Cendikia Bangka Tengah as a strategy to increase the quality of its education. Furthermore, it look at how widespread marketing of educational services has departed from the original concept of the school as a non-profit institution which is not a business area in the world of education. Schools as providersof educational services need to study and high spiritsto increase school interest for students, becasueeducation is an ongoing teaching learning process.
