Abstract

Peatlands play a crucial role in supporting human life, storing carbon, and maintaining environmental balance. Their economic potential, through peat-based products such as charcoal, rattan, and medicinal plants, is significant. However, their utilization is constrained by market access, funding, and technology. The objective of this study is to examine the role that stakeholders play in the establishment of MSMEs based on the data in the city of Palangka Raya. The research employs a mixed-method approach with prospective analysis using Mactor software. Data was gathered through in-depth interviews and field observations. The findings show that the Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda), financial institutions, MSME actors, and the Trade Department play strategic roles, while WWF focuses on environmental preservation. Challenges such as inter-actor dependency and a lack of effective collaboration need to be addressed. This study recommends optimizing collaboration, policy support, as well as the incorporation of economic and environmental goals to support the sustainability of peat-based MSMEs.

Abstract

The increase in divorce cases has raised concerns about the psychological well-being of affected children, with the risk of anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders. The purpose of this writing is to find out the impact of divorce on children's mental health. The method used is a systematic literature review using databases from PubMed and ScienceDirect. The search was carried out using the keywords children, divorce, marital dissolution, mental health. Article screening used the PRISMA method and 8 articles were found that were in accordance with the research topic. The results showed that divorce increased the risk of mental problems such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and decreased academic performance. In addition, children from divorced families face a higher risk of mental disorders. High parental conflict exacerbates negative effects, while good social and emotional support can reduce those adverse effects. This study highlights the importance of paying special attention to the mental well-being of children post-divorce to prevent adverse long-term effects. It is hoped that the results of this study can deepen the understanding of the impact of divorce and help develop support strategies for children who have experienced parental divorce, in order to reduce the risk of long-term mental health disorders. Abstract

The transwomen group is a marginalized gender minority, excluded from various aspects of life, including politics, economics, society, and culture. This marginalization is further exacerbated by the fact that access to public services now requires an electronic ID card (e-KTP). To fulfill their civil rights, transpuan people must network and mobilize collectively. This study examines the communication efforts undertaken by the transpuan community in Yogyakarta to gain access to the e-KTP. The research was conducted through focus group discussions (FGDs) and interviews with members of the transpuan community in Yogyakarta (IWAYO). The findings indicate that vulnerable groups, such as transpuan communities, must establish cross-issue coalitions to create a collective communication network. This collective action becomes a source of strength for marginalized groups to achieve their goals. The community also engaged with government institutions, academics, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to advocate for the empowerment of community members and the fulfillment of their civil rights. Internally, IWAYO fostered communication using various strategies, including establishing sub-communities at nine community locations across Yogyakarta, holding social gatherings (arisan), organizing pesantren (group prayer), and conducting regular meetings.

Abstract

In the context of digital marketing of Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Palangkaraya, this study investigates the influence of ethics, trust, and user experience on corporate image. PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling), implemented with Smart-PLS version 3.2.7, was the quantitative methodology used. The research sample consisted of one hundred randomly selected people. The results showed that trust has the most significant influence on corporate image (path coefficient 0.387, p-value 0.001). Ethics, on the other hand, has a positive but statistically insignificant effect (path coefficient 0.145, p-value 0.289). In addition, user experience has a significant effect on corporate image (path coefficient 0.282, p-value 0.007). However, user experience does not serve as a moderator in the relationship between ethics and trust in corporate image. This study suggests that Bank Syariah Indonesia should prioritize building customer trust, providing an ideal user experience, and applying ethical principles in digital marketing to improve its corporate image.

Abstract

Based on interviews with the second-grade teacher at SDN 1 Tambang Ulang, Tanah Laut Regency, it was found that students there have difficulty understanding the application of the content of a story, which leads to challenges in applying it to their daily lives. The learning process so far has only focused on identifying intrinsic elements of the story without linking them to the development of character traits relevant to students' everyday lives. This study aims to investigate the application of intrinsic elements of children's story texts in shaping student character at SDN 1 Tambang Ulang. The research uses a qualitative method. The informants in this study were the school principal and the second-grade teacher. Data collection tools used were observation and interviews. After analyzing the collected data, the findings show that the teacher applies two methods—repetition and individual approach—to help students who have not yet grasped the story's content. Additionally, the teacher encourages students to adopt positive character traits from the story and connect these traits with their daily habits at home.

Abstract

In the trigonometry course, the learning achievement achieved by students is not optimal because many students get scores below 70. Researchers find out the causes of these problems, one of which is that the teacher still uses the lecture method and assignments in the learning process. This causes students to only listen to the material without going through the process of trying and finding themselves. The researcher gave the treatment of the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model so that the purpose of this study was to determine the difference in learning achievement of Mathematics Education Study Program students at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who were treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model. The population of this study was all 1st semester students of the 2024/2025 academic year of the mathematics education study program at Palangka Raya University. Before conducting the analysis using the t-test of two independent samples, the prerequisite test was carried out: normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test with Levene. The results of this study are that there are differences in the learning achievement of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who are treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and the conventional learning model. Furthermore, students in the experimental class using the Project-Based Learning learning model obtained an average achievement of 81.379, while the control class using the conventional learning model obtained an average achievement of 72.008.

Abstract

Mass demonstrations are a form of expressing aspirations that are protected by the constitution in Indonesia. However, these actions often have the potential to disrupt public order, especially if they turn into riots or anarchic actions. The Mobile Brigade Unit (Brimob) of the Indonesian National Police has a strategic role in handling these situations to maintain the stability of security and public order. This study aims to analyze the role of Brimob in handling mass demonstrations, the strategies implemented, and the challenges faced. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, involving data collection through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study indicate that Brimob plays an important role in controlling the masses, securing vital objects, and taking action against situations that have the potential to be anarchic. The strategies implemented include a preventive approach through intelligence, layered security, and proportional use of force. However, in its implementation, Brimob faces challenges such as mass dynamics, public pressure, limited resources, and coordination between agencies. This study recommends increasing Brimob's training capacity, strengthening operational equipment, and developing a humanistic and collaborative approach to support success in handling mass demonstrations. With these steps, it is hoped that Brimob can carry out its role more effectively, professionally, and in a balanced manner in maintaining security and order amidst the dynamics of society.

Abstract

The Dayak farming system in Central Kalimantan is not just an agricultural activity, but also part of a socio-cultural system that is passed down from generation to generation. This practice reflects a harmonious relationship between humans and nature and has strong economic, social, and cultural values. This study aims to analyze farming as a socio-cultural system, explain the challenges faced by the Dayak community in maintaining this practice, and identify the adaptation strategies they carry out to survive in changing conditions. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, involving participatory observation and in-depth interviews with farming communities, traditional leaders, and village officials, as well as documentation studies from various sources related to agrarian and environmental policies. The results of the study indicate that the Dayak farming system socio-culturally functions not only as a livelihood but also as a symbol of cultural identity. Customary rituals, the cooperation system (handep), and belief in forest guardian spirits are still an integral part of farming practices. However, traditional farming practices face major challenges, such as the prohibition of land burning, land conversion to oil palm plantations, and the decreasing interest of the younger generation in farming. To survive, the Dayak community has developed various adaptation strategies, such as modification of farming techniques, livelihood diversification, legal resistance and land rights advocacy, and strengthening communities and social networks.

Abstract

Self-harm is a behavior of deliberately inflicting injury upon oneself, driven by overwhelming pressure. Uncontrollable stress can lead to fatal consequences, including death. Final-year university students are among the individuals vulnerable to self-harm, often due to the pressure to graduate promptly. Furthermore, self-harm can be triggered by factors such as gender, feelings of loneliness, abandonment by loved ones, strained family relationships, and discrepancies between expectations and realities regarding lifestyle and economic conditions. This study aims to describe the psychological dynamics of final-year university students who have experienced self-harm. Employing a descriptive qualitative research methodology, the study involved three subjects: final-year students from the Guidance and Counseling study program who had engaged in self-harm within the past four years. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings revealed the following: Parental influence plays a significant role in the occurrence of self-harm through acts of physical violence inflicted upon the subjects (A, B, C); Self-harm was triggered in all three subjects by conflicts with parents, friends, or romantic partners; The forms of self-harm exhibited included the consumption of generic drugs, ranging from one to three pills, inducing prolonged sleep, social withdrawal, head-banging against walls, hair-pulling, self-hitting, scratching, and biting of body parts.
