Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management strategies of curriculum development based on local wisdom at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda Magelang, focusing on the formulation, implementation, and evaluation mechanisms of the curriculum. Employing a post-positivist qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews with key institutional figures, and document analysis. The study found that the curriculum development at MDT Nurul Huda Magelang was formulated in alignment with national regulations and local needs through a SWOT analysis. Curriculum implementation was carried out through three approaches: strengthening core Islamic teachings within a local context, internalizing values through local traditions, and developing skills rooted in cultural practices. Curriculum evaluation was conducted comprehensively and participatively, resulting in graduates who not only master religious sciences but also embody the character of rahmatan lil ‘alamin—civilized, moderate, and nationally minded individuals. This study contributes to the development of Islamic Religious Education curricula that are more relevant to the needs of students and society. The findings of this research can serve as a reference in designing MDT curricula that instill Islamic character values.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a virtual reality application based on kodular and sketchfab called SIMUJI, as a medium in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) grade 5 SD on the material of the pillars of Hajj. The importance of this topic is in the need for students to improve their understanding of the Hajj pilgrimage, which is often only taught theoretically, resulting in a gap between knowledge and real experience. The method used in this research is Design & Development (D&D) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The findings show that the SIMUJI application can increase students' interest and understanding of the material on the pillars of Hajj, as well as provide an interactive learning experience. The conclusion of this study is that the use of VR technology in learning about the pillars of Hajj can overcome shortcomings in traditional learning methods, as well as provide an innovative alternative to improve the quality of Islamic religious education in elementary schools. This application is expected to be a reference for the development of other learning media in the future.

Abstract

Background: The issue of environmental degradation has become a major challenge around the world, as human-induced damage to ecosystems continues to worsen. Pollution, deforestation, species depletion, and weather changes are signs that environmental awareness in society is still low. This research aims: The purpose of this study is to understand the values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that relate to protecting nature and the environment as a religious and social responsibility. To find the ways in which Islamic Religious Education values are applied in the effort to protect the environment by various educational institutions in Banten Province. Creating strategic suggestions for developing an environmental education model based on Islamic values, so that it can be well integrated into the education system at the local and national levels. The method applied in this study is naturalistic qualitative, which focuses on naturally occurring circumstances in educational institutions (schools). The findings of this study show that Islamic values related to nature protection, such as tawhid, amanah, rahmatan lil 'alamin, and khilafah, have been incorporated into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials, especially on themes that discuss the relationship between humans and nature. In this case, PAI teachers function as drivers and supporters in instilling Islamic values related to the environment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze teacher role modeling from the perceptions of both teachers and students. This study employs mixed-methods research, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. Research instruments included questionnaires administered to 25 teachers and 72 students as samples. The results indicate that teachers highly understand the importance of role modeling but feel less emulated by students. Conversely, students perceive teachers as good role models, despite some negative behaviors. This disparity arises from differences in perception between teachers and students, as well as the influence of social media. This disparity is analyzed through social perception theory and its relationship with the concept of social learning in Islam. Impact of this study shows that the effectiveness of role modelling is complex because it is influenced by several factors, including teacher-student interaction and the environment. Keywords: Teacher role modeling; Student perception; Disparity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' ability to develop teaching modules using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Recitation models. This study uses a non-experimental correlational quantitative method, which aims to identify and describe data related to the research variables. A sampling technique was used with 40 respondents. Data were obtained and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, and ANOVA. The results of the study determined that the average ability of students in developing teaching modules was 60.35 with a standard deviation of 7.614. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed with a Skewness value of 0.020 and Kurtosis of -0.775. The ANOVA test yielded a significance value of <0.001, indicating that the PjBL and Recitation variables significantly influence students' ability to develop instructional modules. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.439 indicates that the independent variables together explain 43.9% of the variation in the dependent variable, i.e., the ability to develop instructional modules, with the remaining 56.1% influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The development of the digital era has brought major changes in the way people access and consume media, which has had a significant impact on the sustainability of conventional media, including radio. Radio Raka Swara, as a local broadcasting station focusing on Islamic preaching content, has attempted to adapt to these dynamics in order to maintain its existence amid increasingly fierce competition from digital media. From the perspective of Islamic education studies, religious radio plays an important role as a means of non-formal education that can expand public access to Islamic knowledge and values. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the adaptation strategies employed by Radio Raka Swara in maintaining the sustainability of its religious programs while building audience trust. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation study. The results show that Radio Raka Swara has successfully utilized various digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, and its own mobile application. The use of these platforms allows broadcasts to reach a wider audience, including international listeners, and to present da'wah content that is more visually appealing and interactive. Other strategies implemented include the use of traffic data for program evaluation, two-way interaction through live streaming features, and content adaptation to cross-generational characteristics. The implementation of these strategies is evident in the development of social media integration with radio broadcasts, training broadcasters to master digital broadcasting, and collaboration with online da'wah communities. Despite facing limitations in resources and promotional funds, Radio Raka Swara has proven that radio remains relevant if it transforms in line with technological developments and audience needs. Further research is recommended to examine the long-term impact of digitization on the da'wah consumption patterns of the younger generation, as well as to explore in greater depth sustainable business models that can truly support the financial independence of da'wah-based radio media in the modern digital era

Abstract

Zakat education in Islamic boarding schools is an important instrument in fostering religious awareness and reducing social inequality through the fair distribution of wealth. However, the potential of zakat in Indonesia is still far from being realized, including in Islamic boarding schools, which have a large Muslim community base. This study aims to analyze the role of zakat education through the persuasive communication strategies of the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) of the Darussyifa Al-Fithroh YASPIDA Islamic Boarding School in Sukabumi in increasing the interest of muzaki. The research method used a quantitative approach with a field study design. The research sample consisted of 63 respondents determined using the Slovin formula from a population of 168 muzaki. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and then analyzed using significance tests and determination coefficients. The results showed that the motivation dimension had a significant effect on the interest of muzaki in paying zakat (p = 0.004), while the communicator's ability dimension was not significant (p = 0.127). The R² value of 0.931 indicates that the persuasive communication model can explain 93.1% of the variation in muzaki interest. However, the message relevance (45.1%) and follow-up motivation (50.7%) indicators are still relatively low. These findings confirm that emotional factors are more dominant than technical skills in influencing muzaki interest. The practical implications of this study encourage the optimization of peripheral pathways in the Elaboration Likelihood Model through emotional narratives, inspirational figures, and mustahik testimonials. Further research is recommended to explore the role of digital media, audience segmentation, and visual storytelling in strengthening the message of zakat.

Abstract

Student delinquency is increasingly prevalent and has an impact on conflicts between students and teachers. This is evidenced by the many cases of teacher violence against students who commit offenses. This study explores the teacher's approach strategy in dealing with delinquent students through an examination of the story of Prophet Moses. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. The purpose of this study is to identify the educational principles and approaches of Prophet Moses that are relevant in dealing with students' negative behavior, analyzing how strategies adapted from the story of Prophet Moses to help teachers approach unruly students. This study found educational strategies based on educational principles taken from the story of Prophet Moses, namely, a gentle and wise approach, teaching with patience by giving students the opportunity to experiment to feel failure, exemplary approach, firm but fair attitude, strengthening prayer and hope. These principles can be applied through various learning strategies, including active listening, project-based learning, differentiated learning, coaching and mentoring approaches, discussions, case studies, and reflection. The findings underscore the importance of appropriate approaches by teachers in dealing with students' negative behaviors to create a more conducive learning environment, build positive relationships, and help students' character and academic development.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of the local wisdom of sipakatau, sipakalebbi, sipakainge into the curriculum at PTKIN. The focus of this research is the weak design of local wisdom implemented in formal curriculum documents. The author used a qualitative approach with explorative case study as the research design. In-depth interviews, participatory observation and document analysis were the data collection techniques used and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the value of local wisdom has existed in campus social interactions, but has not been formally outlined in the curriculum. The results of the analysis reveal that there are major challenges, namely a lack of balance with institutional awareness and the assumption that local values are the antithesis of the demands of globalization. On the other hand, there are great opportunities through intersectoral cooperation, strengthening the competence of lecturers and reforming curriculum documents based on local wisdom. This research introduces a three-stage implementation model, namely: alignment of the vision and mission of the institution, formulation of learning outcomes based on local wisdom values, and lecturer training.
