Abstract

Smoking is a bad habit that danger the smoker and the non smoker. In SMKN 2 Bandar Lampung, some students have started smoking. Therefore, it is urgent to conduct socialization and found anti-smoking agents. This research is aim to identify knowledge level after education of smoking cessation efforts and peer counseling skill level, and also strength of relationship between knowledge level and peer counseling skill level. The research used cross sectional method with one group posttest design about smoking cessation efforts and peer counseling skill. Sampling technique was total sampling. The research was carried out in May-June 2017 at SMKN 2 Bandar Lampung. Sample consists of 21 peoples. Data was obtained from knowledge questionnaires and skill checklist of peer counseling. The result showed that the majority of student had good knowledge (86%) and skills (90,5%). The result of bivariate analyze obtained p value=0,014<0,05 which means there is relationship between knowledge level and skill level. There was a significant relationship between knowledge level after education about smoking cessation efforts and peer counseling skill level in SMKN 2 Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a non-communicable disease with a global incidence of 415 million cases in 2015 which has increased 4 times compared to the 1980s in the adult population. The increase in the number of DM in the world in line with the increase in the number of DM in Indonesia in 2018 compared to 2013, which was 1.5%. The increase in the incidence of DM globally causes an increase in various DM complications, one of them is microvascular complications of nephropathy diabetic with an incidence of 20-40%. Increase complication of nephropathy diabetic in people with DM caused by various factors, one of which is an unhealthy lifestyle by consuming a high intake of fructose found in various carbonated soft drinks. Consumption of fructose that is safe for the body no more than 5% of consumption per day. High intake of fructose in carbonated soft drinks increased the greater risk of complications of nephropathy diabetic due to excessive use of ATP in the process of fructose metabolism in the body. The products of fructose metabolism in the body are fructose-1-phosphate and uric acid. Increased fructose-1-phosphate and uric acid will cause hyperglycemia and hyperuricemia which can cause oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, and glomerular dysfunction by activating one of the inflammatory mediators inflammatory transcription factors (NF-κB), increasing the production of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and macrophage activation. Oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, and glomerular dysfunction will induce various inflammatory mediators such as cytokines (IL-1, IL-6, IL-18, JAK, STAT and TNF), chemokines (CCL2), and adhesion molecules (ICAM1, VCAM1 ) which causes kidney infiltration of inflammatory cells (monocytes and lymphocytes) which play a role in the pathogenesis of nephropathy diabetic.

Abstract

Menopause is permanently cessation of menstruation for at least 12 months in women with a median age of 51 years. The incidence of chronic diseases will be increased in menopause women, so that it affects their quality of life. Changes in estrogen levels during menopause are associated with an increase in body fat. This is an alarm sign for women's health because it causes an increase in blood pressure, insulin resistance and dyslipidemia. These changes can contribute to an increased risk of metabolic syndrome in menopausal women. Black cumin plant is a spice plant belonging to the Ranunculaceae family and grows in various regions of the world. Black cumin seeds and oils are usually used as traditional medicine for various diseases. The main bioactive substance in black cumin, thymoquinone, has a major influence in improving metabolic syndrome in menopausal women, especially in controlling lipid and blood sugar profiles. The mechanism of hypolipidemic action of N. sativa based on research caused by an increase in the regulation of LDL molecules through receptor-mediated endocytosis, and several other mechanisms. The hypoglycemic effect of N. sativa is by maintaining the integrity of pancreatic β cells, causing an increase in insulin levels.

Abstract

Hubungan Masyarakat (Humas) di lembaga pendidikan memegang peranan strategis dalam membangun citra positif dan mendukung keberhasilan lembaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran humas internal dan eksternal di SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Kepahiang dan memberikan rekomendasi strategi optimalisasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen di lima sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun beberapa sekolah memanfaatkan media sosial dan menjalin hubungan eksternal, pengelolaan humas belum optimal karena keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, kurangnya strategi komunikasi, dan minimnya penggunaan teknologi. Penelitian ini menawarkan rekomendasi yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi setempat, seperti penguatan komunikasi internal melalui forum rutin, optimalisasi media sosial, dan peningkatan kapasitas staf humas. Penerapan strategi tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan citra positif sekolah, meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat, dan mendukung tujuan pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to describe: (1) the ideal triple helix model (THM) partnership for implementing an outcome-based curriculum (OBC) in the era of disruption from the university's perspective; (2) the level of THM implementation according to the university's perspective; (3) the THM ecosystem implemented by the university; (4) the level of university role implementation within the THM framework. Method: This study employed both quantitative and qualitative descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques included a survey and a focus group discussion (FGD). The research subjects consisted of four active lecturers from PTSP FT UNY who provided survey responses, and seven PTSP lecturers participated in the FGD. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, while qualitative data were examined through an interactive analytical model. Results: (1) The balanced triple helix Model (BTM) was identified as the ideal framework for implementing OBC, rated highly suitable with a score of 3.50, as it ensures a balanced role among all parties. (2) The THM implementation was mostly realized (score 2.80), involving industry, professional associations, and certification bodies. (3) The THM ecosystem was mostly established (score 2.84), with additional support from unlimited research and partnership funding. (4) The university’s role within THM was fully realized (score 3.02) through seminars, soft skill training, and certification programs. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, BTM is the ideal model for implementing OBC in the era of disruption. Furthermore, the implementation of the triple helix partnership model, ecosystem, and university roles is largely accomplished.

Abstract

Kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia terus meningkat seiring dengan pertumbuhan populasi, perkembangan industri, dan pembangunan infrastruktur. Namun, ketergantungan pada sumber energi fosil yang semakin menipis serta dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan menuntut adanya solusi energi alternatif yang lebih berkelanjutan. Energi matahari merupakan salah satu potensi energi terbarukan yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal di Indonesia, mengingat letaknya yang berada di wilayah tropis dengan intensitas radiasi matahari yang tinggi. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan energi terbarukan melalui edukasi serta pemasangan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) untuk penerangan jalan umum (PJU) di Kelurahan Sambirejo, Semarang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi awal, sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat, pemasangan PJU panel surya, serta evaluasi keberhasilan program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai energi terbarukan, serta keberhasilan instalasi PJU panel surya yang berfungsi dengan baik dalam menerangi jalan warga. Keberhasilan program ini membuktikan bahwa pemanfaatan energi matahari dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam mengurangi ketergantungan pada energi konvensional. Diharapkan, program ini dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi masyarakat luas untuk mengadopsi teknologi energi terbarukan guna mendukung kemandirian energi dan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of differentiated learning in Islamic religious education at State Elementary School 07 Rejang Lebong using the Merdeka Mengajar (Independent Teaching) platform. It aims to describe (1) the planning, (2) the implementation, and (3) the evaluation of the differentiated learning model in IRE. Using a qualitative descriptive case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that teachers planned learning by assessing students’ needs and preparing modules. In implementation, teachers used the platform to vary content, process, and product based on students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles. Activities included calligraphy, creative projects, and flexible learning environments. Evaluation was conducted through reflection and adaptation, using the platform as a reference to improve instructional strategies. The study concludes that differentiated learning, supported by digital platforms, enhances the relevance and effectiveness of Islamic religious education instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen sistem pendidikan di pesantren dengan pendekatan riset kepustakaan (library research). Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari sumber-sumber literatur yang relevan, seperti buku, jurnal, laporan penelitian, dan referensi lain yang mendukung tema penelitian. Tahapan penelitian mencakup pengumpulan bahan pustaka, membaca, pencatatan, dan pengolahan informasi yang telah terkumpul. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis konten (content analysis), yang memungkinkan penarikan kesimpulan yang akurat berdasarkan dokumen dan sumber tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pengajaran di pesantren terbagi menjadi dua bentuk utama: sistem pembelajaran klasikal dan non-klasikal. Sistem klasikal mengadopsi model pendidikan modern, di mana santri dikelompokkan berdasarkan jenjang kelas dan tingkat kemampuan, meliputi Madrasah Ibtida’iyah, Tsanawiyah, Aliyah, dan I’dadiyyah. Sebaliknya, sistem pembelajaran non-klasikal dilakukan melalui metode sorogan dan bandongan, di mana santri mendapatkan bimbingan langsung dari kiai. Kurikulum pendidikan pesantren secara garis besar terdiri dari kelompok mata pelajaran utama: fiqih, hadis, Al-Qur’an, tauhid, bahasa Arab (Nahwu dan Sorof), tafsir, akidah, dan hadis. Setiap mata pelajaran ini diajarkan melalui kitab-kitab yang telah ditentukan sesuai jenjang kelas atau tingkat kemampuan santri, mendukung pembelajaran yang terstruktur dan mendalam

Abstract

Writing skills are very important for students, but basically writing skills in schools are still low and are always underestimated by students and educators. Everyone can write and there is no need to focus on writing skills. Therefore, writing learning activities in educational units do not run as expected. During writing learning activities, students find it difficult to focus and students are less motivated to do writing activities. This explanation is because students do not get enough impact in learning to write and students assume that learning Indonesian is easy. The research carried out aims to review the impact of the non-example model on poetry writing skills in class V SD Negeri 1 Latihan SPG Ambon. This research uses a quantitative approach in the form of experiments. Based on the research that has been carried out, it was found that the results of applying the non-example model to poetry writing skills in class V SD Negeri 1 Latihan SPG Ambon. This is proven by the results of the t test with a significance level of 5%, obtained t-table 2.01 while t-count = 15.98, because learning using pictures is sequenced logically which can open students' schemes and ensure students understand the learning presented with the help of media. visuals, students are also stronger in memorizing and reading by connecting using images.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' ability to develop teaching modules using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Recitation models. This study uses a non-experimental correlational quantitative method, which aims to identify and describe data related to the research variables. A sampling technique was used with 40 respondents. Data were obtained and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, and ANOVA. The results of the study determined that the average ability of students in developing teaching modules was 60.35 with a standard deviation of 7.614. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed with a Skewness value of 0.020 and Kurtosis of -0.775. The ANOVA test yielded a significance value of <0.001, indicating that the PjBL and Recitation variables significantly influence students' ability to develop instructional modules. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.439 indicates that the independent variables together explain 43.9% of the variation in the dependent variable, i.e., the ability to develop instructional modules, with the remaining 56.1% influenced by other factors.
