Abstract

Organizational commitment is a form of employee loyalty in working in an organization. Recently, the phenomenon of turnover among private teachers has occurred frequently, especially after the government made a policy of hiring civil servants with work agreements. This study aims to examine the effect of job satisfaction and work motivation on organizational commitment in private schools in Bantul district. Through a quantitative approach, data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to teachers, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that; 1). there is a significant effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment of 57.2%; 2). there is an effect of work motivation on organizational commitment of 26.2%; and 3). there is a simultaneous effect of job satisfaction and work motivation on organizational commitment of 71.9%. The suggestion from this study is that school principals need to maintain the commitment of teachers, especially those working in private educational institutions by increasing the job satisfaction factor.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the principal's strategy in realizing madrasa competitiveness through an analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Ponorogo. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study research design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Source triangulation and technical triangulation were used to ensure the validity and reliability of the data. Data analysis was carried out by referring to the concepts of Milles, Huberman and Saldana; data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the head of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Ponorogo has implemented well strategic management in achieving madrasa competitiveness. This is proven by the achievement of madrasa targets in accordance with the prepared plans. Apart from that, it can be seen from the results of the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis through detailed internal and external factor analysis in the Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) matrices. The results of the matrix shows that Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Ponorogo is in quadrant 1. This position shows that the madrasa is in development and growth position. Therefore, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Ponorogo is advised to use a progressive strategy by utilizing the internal strengths of the madrasah to take advantage of opportunities so that the madrasah's global competitiveness is realized.

Abstract

This research focuses on student management in realizing effective and efficient educational governance at SDI Darul Qur'an (Prioritas Tahfidz) Kanigoro - Kras - Kediri. All components in this institution must be managed properly, including students. The student management adopted by this institution is a program of semi-islamic boarding school activities. Starting from the student recruitment process which does prioritize the student readiness factor. The process of learning activities is supported by qualified educators in accordance with their respective fields. The whole series of activity programs has the aim of being able to equip students to be independent and skilled in life in the future because they have experienced the learning process in this institution. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive qualitative approach, as well as with data collection techniques through interviews. Through the process of analysis of the entire series of semi-islamic activity programs shows that students can have multidisciplinary abilities. It is proven from positive attitudes and behavior patterns as well as students' critical thinking methods and are able to apply their knowledge at school and in the community through habituation of activities at school every day.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the development of Islamic PAUD institutions carried out by TK ABA Majapahit Kalierang Bumiayu Brebes in the perspective of blue ocean strategy. This research is a naturalist qualitative research. Data were collected using interviews, observation and documentation. Then the data were analyzed using the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the steps taken in implementing the blue ocean strategy to develop PAUD institutions in TK ABA Majapahit were: (1) Creating a canvas for the development of Islamic PAUD institutions; (2) Create a framework for Islamic PAUD institutions; (3) Create three levels of non-customer Islamic PAUD services; (4) Create a framework for six paths for the development of Islamic PAUD institutions; and (5) Creating the value of innovation in the provision of Islamic PAUD services.

Abstract

A brand is an image as well as an identity for an educational institution. Thus the brand becomes one of the aspects that can encourage students to choose a school. The local cultural curriculum is one of the strengths for a school in building its uniqueness and identity. So it is common for educational institutions develop their school brand using local wisdom as a object. This study aims to narrate how brand management through a local culture-based curriculum at SMA N 1 Sokaraja is worked. A qualitative approach is used in this study. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies. Research subjects were selected using purposive sampling method. Principals, vice principals for curriculum and subject subject became participants in this study. The results of this study indicate that brand management is realized through Pendidikan Berbasis Keunggulan Lokal (PBKL) at SMA N 1 Sokaraja. The presence of PBKL as a brand identity has succeeded in forming a brand image by presenting symbolic benefits for students. This research can be used as a reference in creating a school brand development model in Banyumas.

Abstract

The principal’s strategy in shaping student character, especially leadership character, is very important to create a generation of leaders with quality and integrity. With the right strategy, principals can direct students to develop their leadership potential, motivate them to take responsibility, and teach important ethical values in leadership. This study has the objectives of (1) Knowing the principal’s strategic planning to develop student leadership character at SMP Alam Mutiara Umat Tulungagung (2) To describe the implementation of the principal’s strategy to develop student leadership character at SMP Alam Mutiara Umat Tulungagung (3) Knowing the evaluation of the principal’s strategy school to develop student leadership character at Alam Mutiara Umat Middle School. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of case study research where in this case the researcher fully understands the phenomena that occur and in maintaining the authenticity of the data, the researcher is actively involved and goes directly to the field. Data collection was carried out by means of semi-structural interviews, observation and documentation. Respondents who were used as data sources were school principals, deputy heads of student affairs, deputy heads of public relations, deputy heads of curriculum and deputy heads of infrastructure. The data that has been obtained will be processed using the process of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The credibility of the data is done by checking the triangulation procedure of data sources and techniques. The results of the study revealed that the principal’s strategy for developing student leadership character at Alam Mutiara Umat Middle School, Tulungagung Regency was: (1) The principal made a plan by establishing student leadership character development programs (2) in implementing the principal’s strategy optimizing the leadership character development program students through forum meetings (3) Evaluation of the principal’s strategy for developing student leadership character by way of performance appraisal to find out whether the program being implemented can develop student leadership character.

Abstract

The relationship between the quality of services provided by higher education institutions and consumer satisfaction is very close. This quality can motivate students to form a strong bond with the university and build loyalty towards it. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of service quality on student satisfaction and loyalty. The subjects of this study are graduate students in the Islamic Education Management Department at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. A quantitative method is employed in this research with a sample size of 76 individuals determined through the Slovin formula and purposive sampling method. The results of the study indicate that service quality significantly affects student satisfaction (Y1). Service quality, as the X variable, also significantly influences student loyalty (Y2). Further understanding of the positive correlation between service quality and student loyalty can assist universities in designing student retention programs and building a committed community on campus. These implications support efforts to enhance the quality of higher education services and establish a sustainable relationship between universities and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the learning management of Majelis Taklim Al Huda Mundu Cirebon Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. Information was collected through observation, interviews and document studies. The results showed that the leader of the taklim assembly determines the plan by compiling a curriculum, identifying the books to be studied by adjusting the needs of the students, starting from the statute to the continuation. In its implementation, there are 3 age categories in the learning process at Majelis Taklim Al Huda, including children, teenagers / adults and parents. The teachers deliver the material with various methods such as bandongan, sorogan, memorization, and lectures. As for the recitation of parents, it is carried out with lecture and question and answer methods. The evaluation stage is carried out where children and teenage students are asked to explain back the lessons that have been learned previously. In addition, through memorization the student deposits the memorized memorization. The evaluation is carried out every day before and after the learning process. However, the learning evaluation does not apply to parent category learning. This is because the target of majelis taklim for parents is intended for knowledge and education about Islam.

Abstract

This research is motivated by two things. First, theoretical facts state that every religion carries a mission of peace and salvation for all (rahmatan lil alamin), upholds human dignity, balance, justice and humanity. Second, the development of science and technology has led to an increase in human ability to understand religious texts. This research aims to find out, analyze and describe strategies, supporting and inhibiting factors in fostering attitudes of religious moderation in Islamic Religious College students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Type of qualitative descriptive research. Data was collected using interview and documentation methods. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation. Research findings show that there are three strategies for fostering religious moderation attitudes of UIN Raden Intan Lampung students. First, the outdoor-indoor activity strategy is implemented in the form of moderation camp activities and outreach to strengthen religious moderation. Second, the modeling strategy is carried out by selecting student figures who are active in student organizations and UKM and have exemplary potential. Third, a holistic education strategy, carried out by providing coaching material referring to PMA number 93 of 2022 and studied from various scientific perspectives and real experiences in society. Supporting factors include the support of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, the high commitment of the leadership of UIN RIL. Inhibiting factors include resistance from some senior student organizations who want balanced representation of participation in activities for all internal campus organizations. This is not in line with the available budget capabilities. The number of UIN Raden Intan Lampung students is quite large, and the majority of them come from general secondary schools, causing the implementation of the religious moderation development program to take quite a long time. Likewise, students' different religious understanding backgrounds require varied methods, a balanced number of resource persons/instructors/coaches/mentors with adequate religious moderation competence.

Abstract

School curriculum development management is a process that involves planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising a curriculum that meets the needs and objectives of education. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the curriculum development management in SDIP Masyithoh and SDIT Quantum Mulia. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data collected were analyzed thematically. To improve the validity of the data, the researcher used triangulation. The researcher ensured that this study complies with the applicable research ethics. SDIP Masyithoh and SDIT Quantum Mulia are two Islamic schools that have different approaches to curriculum development management. SDIP Masyithoh emphasizes on strengthening Islamic values and the development of academic skills, while SDIT Quantum Mulia emphasizes on the application of technology in learning, integration of subjects, and the development of students' global competencies. These different approaches are reflected in every stage of curriculum development management, starting from planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating. SDIP Masyithoh approach emphasizes on strengthening Islamic values and the development of academic skills, which can help students become intelligent, faithful, and virtuous individuals. Meanwhile, SDIT Quantum Mulia approach emphasizes on the application of technology in learning, integration of subjects, and the development of students' global competencies, which can help students become intelligent, creative, and leadership-minded individuals.
