Abstract

Suela Village is located in Suwela Subdistrict, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia, which has natural resource potential in the form of spice commodities such as ginger and cloves. However, the utilization of these commodities is still limited and they are generally sold in raw form, resulting in relatively low economic added value for the community. This problem prompted the implementation of community service activities in Suela Village with the aim of empowering the community through the development of ginger and clove herbal drinks as souvenirs typical of the village. This activity was carried out using participatory methods, including socialization, training, and assistance to the community in the process of processing and packaging herbal beverage products. The results of this activity were ready-to-drink ginger and clove herbal beverages that have the potential to be developed as Suela Village's flagship products. In general, this activity is expected to open up new business opportunities and improve the economy and independence of the Suela Village community

Abstract

Permasalahan pengelolaan sampah di Desa Pendua, Kecamatan Kayangan, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, masih dilakukan secara tradisional sehingga berpotensi mencemari lingkungan dan mengganggu kesehatan masyarakat. Namun, desa ini memiliki potensi lahan pekarangan serta bahan organik yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara produktif. Oleh karena itu, metode raised bed diterapkan sebagai solusi pengelolaan sampah terpadu sekaligus media budidaya tanaman. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui program KKN PMD dengan tahapan village mapping, analisis SWOT, sosialisasi pemilahan sampah, pelatihan pembuatan raised bed, serta penanaman bibit hortikultura. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah secara berkelanjutan serta optimalisasi pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan. Metode ini diharapkan menjadi solusi jangka panjang dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih, produktif, dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that requires proper management, including correct medication use. Early education for vocational high school students is important to build awareness about safe medication use. The purpose of this community service activity was to increase students' knowledge about the safe use of diabetes mellitus medications, including Beyond Use Date (BUD), insulin storage, and traditional herbal medicines. The method used was lectures and discussions with a pre-post test design. Respondents were 32 grade X students from SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru. Data were analyzed using paired t-test. Results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores from 73.98±3.13 to 87.04±7.47 (p<0.001) with Cohen's d=1.76. The proportion of students with good knowledge category increased from 3.1% to 81.2%. This education program was highly effective in increasing students' knowledge about the safe use of diabetes mellitus medications.

Abstract

Basic education in Korleko Selatan Village still faces challenges, particularly related to low student literacy skills, which are influenced by the socio-economic conditions of their families and limited learning support at home. This situation makes the children's learning process highly dependent on school and not yet fully optimal. To overcome this, PMD KKN students from Mataram University carried out intensive learning assistance activities while also providing informal literacy assistance facilities at the KKN post, in an effort to strengthen student literacy. This activity aimed to improve children's reading skills while also building interactive literacy habits, both in the school environment and in the village. The activity was carried out through reading guidance, interactive educational games, and a reading corner at the KKN post. The results obtained show an increase in reading fluency and student participation, thus supporting equitable basic education and fostering optimal learning motivation. Abstract

Dusun Repok Pancor di Desa Sigerongan, Kecamatan Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat memiliki potensi besar dalam budidaya perikanan, khususnya komoditas ikan nila. Meskipun demikian, para pembudidaya masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti pengelolaan pemeliharaan dan sanitasi yang belum optimal serta efisiensi penggunaan pakan yang rendah. Keterbatasan pemahaman mengenai standar Cara Budidaya Ikan yang Baik (CBIB) menjadi salah satu faktor penghambat peningkatan produktivitas dan keberlanjutan usaha. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembudidaya dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip CBIB. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, dan pendampingan langsung dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan demonstratif. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai perubahan pengetahuan dan sikap peserta sebelum dan sesudah program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan teknis pembudidaya, terutama terkait biosekuriti, pengelolaan kualitas air, penggunaan pakan yang tepat, serta pengelolaan limbah budidaya. Peserta juga memperlihatkan antusiasme dan komitmen dalam menerapkan CBIB pada kegiatan sehari-hari. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kapasitas pembudidaya dan berpotensi menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat perikanan yang berkelanjutan dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

Perkembangan yang cepat dalam teknologi informasi telah membuat media sosial menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari kehidupan anak muda. Namun, ketika digunakan secara berlebihan, hal ini sering kali berhubungan dengan berbagai masalah kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak penggunaan media sosial terhadap kesehatan mental generasi muda, terutama yang berkaitan dengan kecemasan, depresi, dan rasa percaya diri. Dengan metode tinjauan pustaka, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fenomena ketakutan kehilangan informasi (FoMO), perbandingan antar individu (social comparison), dan penganiayaan di dunia maya (cyberbullying) adalah faktor utama yang menyebabkan penurunan kesehatan mental. Oleh karena itu, meskipun media sosial memberikan koneksi, dibutuhkan pemahaman digital yang baik untuk mengurangi dampak negatif yang mungkin muncul.

Abstract

Learning media that are in accordance with the needs of learning activities will create effective and efficient learning activities. The purpose of this activity is to train students to compile interesting, concise, and easy-to-understand teaching materials in the form of pocket books. Mentoring is conducted to ensure that the products produced meet students' needs and contribute to the learning process. The design of the pocket book related to the covers made by each group is not restricted, all groups are welcome to explore their abilities, the content or number of pages made is also not restricted, the important thing is that all the materials that are their duties are summarized in the pocket book, The method used in this assistance is the discussion and question and answer method. The results of the assessment of pocket books made by students in terms of format, content, and language used showed that most of the groups were in the good category. It can be concluded that the creation of pocket books gives students experience in developing teaching materials that are interesting, concise, and easy to understand.

Abstract

North Lombok Regency has 19 TPS 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) waste management units; however, the majority are not operating optimally. One of the active facilities is TPS 3R Jenggala Mandiri in Jenggala Village, Tanjung District, which faces a primary challenge related to the absence of household-level waste segregation at the source. This condition limits the availability of organic feedstock for compost production and increases the operational burden on facility managers due to additional sorting requirements. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen waste management practices through educational and technical assistance focused on source-based segregation of organic and inorganic waste. The implementation was structured into three phases: (1) a preparatory phase involving coordination with TPS 3R management; (2) an implementation phase comprising community outreach, practical demonstrations, and the provision of composting equipment (composter bags, buckets, EM4 bioactivator, and molasses); and (3) an evaluation phase conducted through post-activity monitoring and follow-up. The outreach activities were attended by 52 participants from Nurul Huda Hamlet, during which 25 buckets and 22 composter bags were distributed. The results indicate a positive behavioral shift, as several households initiated independent segregation of organic waste and began producing compost. Nevertheless, full community participation has not yet been achieved. Key constraints identified include limited technical understanding regarding the preparation and mixing of fermentation agents, as well as institutional instability due to changes in TPS 3R management. Overall, the findings suggest that structured education and intensive mentoring can enhance community awareness and promote household-level waste segregation practices. However, sustained institutional support and continuous technical assistance are required to ensure long-term effectiveness and optimal operational performance.

Abstract

Gunungsari Village, West Lombok Regency, possesses significant agricultural potential; however, household yard utilization remains suboptimal. This community service program aimed to enhance community capacity through training and mentoring in vegetable, mushroom, and catfish cultivation based on household yard optimization. The program applied an andragogical and participatory approach emphasizing 85% practical activities. Results indicate improved knowledge and technical skills in vertical farming, hydroponics, aquaponics, and small-scale catfish cultivation. The program strengthened household food security, reduced food expenditure, and created additional income opportunities. The integrated yard-based cultivation model demonstrates strong potential for sustainability and replication in similar rural contexts.

Abstract

Program MBKM-Mandiri Asistensi Mengajar merupakan salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan penguatan kompetensi mahasiswa calon pendidik melalui keterlibatan langsung di satuan pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Program MBKM-Mandiri Asistensi Mengajar di SMAN 1 Lembar, dengan fokus pada peran mahasiswa dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler, ekstrakurikuler, supervisi pembelajaran, serta penguatan wawasan wiyata mandala. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta refleksi kegiatan selama pelaksanaan program yang berlangsung selama empat bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa berkontribusi signifikan dalam peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran melalui penerapan berbagai model pembelajaran inovatif, penyusunan perangkat dan bahan ajar, pendampingan praktikum, serta penilaian hasil belajar siswa. Mahasiswa terlibat aktif dalam pembinaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, program lingkungan sekolah serta kegiatan pembiasaan dan penguatan karakter siswa. Program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa, keaktifan dan motivasi belajar siswa, serta penguatan mutu pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah. Program MBKM-Mandiri Asistensi Mengajar berperan strategis dalam mendukung sinergi antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah mitra secara berkelanjutan.
