Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) use in education is growing, especially in creating Deep Learning-based learning instruments. However, using AI is often not accompanied by an adequate understanding of educational ethics, especially among secondary school teachers. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' ability to integrate educational ethics values in using AI to develop learning instruments. The activity was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tapung Hilir, Kampar Regency, involving 34 teachers from various fields of study. The implementation method was a practice-based workshop with a collaborative approach between lecturers and teachers. Data were collected through AI literacy pre-tests and post-tests, observations, and analysis of learning products. The activity results showed an increase in AI literacy of ±20% from an initial score of 3.5 to 4.2. More than 80% of participants could produce AI-based learning instruments that met the criteria of academic validity and educational ethics. These results emphasise the importance of an ethical approach in applying AI technology to ensure the sustainability and humanisation of the educational process.

Abstract

The cattle farming sector plays a strategic role in improving the rural economy. However, low attention to livestock health is often a major obstacle to increasing cattle productivity. Sengkol Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, is an area with significant cattle farming potential, but still faces livestock health issues due to a lack of knowledge about health management and disease prevention. This Community Service Program (KKN) aims to increase livestock farmers' understanding and improve the health of their cattle through health education and health injections. The methods used include field observation, livestock health education, and hands-on practice of administering vitamins and deworming to cattle. The results of the activity indicate an increase in livestock farmers' knowledge and awareness of the importance of maintaining livestock health, as well as an improvement in livestock condition, as indicated by increased activity and appetite. This activity is expected to have a sustainable impact on improving the health and productivity of cattle in Sengkol Village.

Abstract

The tanning industry is known as one of the sectors that produces hazardous waste due to the use of chemicals such as chromium and sodium sulfide, so the application of safer and more sustainable technology is needed. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of environmentally friendly technology in the Settebello tanning industry in Italy through direct observation focusing on the principles of green chemistry and Best Available Techniques. The results show that Settebello has implemented digital process control, a recirculation-based water efficiency system, and the use of enzymatic tanning at the dehairing, bating, and degreasing stages to replace harsh chemicals that have the potential to pollute the environment. The application of this technology has been proven to be able to reduce the pollution burden, improve the consistency of skin quality, and reduce health risks for workers through reducing exposure to harmful substances. In addition, chromium recovery and integrated waste treatment contribute to improving resource efficiency and strengthening the sustainability of the production process. These findings confirm that cleaner tanning technology can be effectively applied in industrial operations and has great potential to be adapted by the tanning sector in Indonesia as an effort to support the improvement of environmental performance, process efficiency, and national industrial competitiveness. The application of these innovations also opens up opportunities for the development of advanced research that focuses on process optimization, emission reduction, and expansion of sustainability standards for the tanning industry in the future.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat melalui pelatihan diversifikasi produk pangan lokal dan pengembangan desain kemasan inovatif pada kelompok ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Kelurahan Matabubu, Kecamatan Poasia, Kota Kendari. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui dua tahapan utama, yaitu tahap persiapan (koordinasi, sosialisasi, dan identifikasi potensi lokal) serta tahap pelatihan dan praktik (demonstrasi teknik pengolahan dan pendampingan langsung). Fokus kegiatan diarahkan pada pemanfaatan bahan baku singkong yang diolah menjadi produk keripik sebagai bentuk pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis potensi daerah. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam melakukan pengolahan pangan, penggunaan teknik produksi yang higienis, serta penerapan desain kemasan yang lebih menarik dan bernilai jual. Program ini memberikan dampak positif berupa tumbuhnya motivasi berwirausaha dan terbukanya peluang pemasaran produk lokal secara lebih kompetitif. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini efektif dalam memperkuat ekonomi keluarga dan mendorong terwujudnya usaha rumahan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan dengan sistem kolam kurungan batu merupakan salah satu bentuk kearifan lokal masyarakat Desa Kampoh Bunga, Kabupaten Konawe Utara. Namun, sistem ini memiliki tantangan kesehatan ikan yang cukup tinggi akibat rendahnya penerapan biosekuriti, kurangnya pemahaman terhadap parameter kualitas air, serta minimnya penerapan imunostimulan berbahan alami (fitobiotik). Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pembudidaya dalam manajemen kesehatan ikan melalui edukasi dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan biosekuriti dasar, manajemen kualitas air, dan demonstrasi fortifikasi pakan menggunakan fitobiotik melalui metode re-pelleting. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan pembudidaya terhadap aspek biosekuriti, pengelolaan kualitas air, dan pemanfaatan imunostimulan alami. Peserta juga mampu mempraktikkan fortifikasi pakan secara mandiri menggunakan bahan-bahan lokal.

Abstract

Giri Madia Village, Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency, has the potential for non-timber forest products in the form of sugar palm, which is managed by the Giri Madia Forest Farmers Group (KTH) under the Community Forestry (HKm) scheme. Although processed sugar palm products such as palm sugar, palm sugar, liquid palm sugar, and other derivative products have high economic value, their development still faces limitations in the marketing aspect. This community service activity aims to strengthen market access for sugar palm products through event-based marketing assistance. The implementation method is carried out in stages, including preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Marketing assistance is carried out through participation in several public events, namely Car Free Day (CFD) on Jalan Udayana, the opening bazaar of the 126th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) at Dasan Griya, and Sunday Morning activities at the West Lombok Regent's office area. The results of the activities show that event-based marketing is able to increase product visibility, expand consumer reach, and increase the capacity and confidence of KTH members in marketing sugar palm products. In addition, the diversification of processed sugar palm products also increases the product's appeal in the market. This activity is expected to become a sustainable marketing strategy to support the economic empowerment of the Giri Madia Village community based on local potential.

Abstract

Digital technical drawing competency based on AutoCAD proficiency represents an essential requirement for students pursuing construction-related vocational training to successfully transition into professional practice. This study reports on a community service intervention implemented at SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam, designed to systematically enhance students' competencies in digital technical drawing through hands-on AutoCAD training. The program engaged 26 Grade XI students specializing in Building Construction Engineering over a single training day. The instructional methodology integrated pre-assessment, instructor-led demonstration, structured laboratory-based practical training, and post-assessment evaluation. Comparative analysis of pre-test and post-test performance scores revealed substantive improvements in students' mastery of fundamental AutoCAD operations, 2D technical drawing procedures, layer organization protocols, and the application of technical dimensioning and annotation conventions. Qualitative feedback indicated that participants perceived the training as beneficial for their academic coursework completion and preparation for professional competency certification examinations. These findings substantiate the efficacy of intensive, hands-on AutoCAD training as a time-efficient and pedagogically sound intervention for advancing vocational students' technical competencies in digital drawing applications.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini berupa pelatihan menggambar konstruksi bangunan gedung menggunakan software autoCAD untuk siswa SMK Negeri 1 Nganjuk. Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat penguasaan keterampilan siswa dalam menggambar bangunan gedung berbasis AutoCAD. Metode pelaksanaan PKM terdiri dari tiga tahapan yang terdiri dari tahap pendahuluan berupa kegiatan koordinasi kegiatan dan survey lokasi PKM, tahap pelaksanaan berupa kegiatan penyusunan modul pembelajaran, pelatihan dan pendampingan peserta melalui demonstrasi, praktik, pre-test, post-test, dan tahap evaluasi yaitu kegiatan menganalisis hasil pre-test dan post-test serta antusias peserta. Hasil kegiatan yaitu modul pembelajaran membantu siswa memahami dan menguasai menggambar bangunan dengan AutoCAD, adanya peningkatan pemahaman terkait gambar teknik bangunan gedung, kaidah-kaidah gambar teknik beserta elemen-elemennya, setting satuan ukuran gambar/unit satuan, perintah dasar, dan notasi AutoCAD, dan pemahaman pada plot gambar. Hasil post test menunjukkan siswa mampu menggambar bangunan dengan AutoCAD hingga menghasilkan gambar teknik format digital yang sudah diplot.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the local economy through the application of a circular economy approach by utilizing agricultural and livestock waste as organic growing media. The program was conducted in Sintung Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, where agricultural activities generate abundant waste such as cow manure and rice husks that remain underutilized. A participatory-descriptive approach was employed to actively engage farmers, livestock breeders, and local communities throughout the implementation process. The activities included problem identification, socialization of circular economy concepts, hands-on training in producing organic growing media, and continuous assistance to ensure community independence. Data were collected through observation, short interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively to evaluate community participation, knowledge improvement, and potential economic benefits. The results indicate increased community awareness of waste utilization, the successful production of functional organic growing media, and potential reductions in agricultural production costs. Furthermore, the program demonstrates opportunities for developing waste-based products as alternative sources of household income. This community service contributes to sustainable rural economic development by integrating environmental management and economic empowerment at the village level.

Abstract

The management of household organic waste in rural areas remains an environmental problem, including in Denggen Timur Village, Selong District, East Lombok Regency, where most waste is still disposed of without being processed. However, organic waste has great potential to be reused as valuable products, one of which is liquid organic fertilizer (POC). This activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills in processing household organic waste into POC as an alternative to environmentally friendly fertilizers. The methods used include a preparation stage through field surveys, an implementation stage in the form of socialization and direct practice of POC production, and an evaluation and reporting stage. The activity was carried out with the involvement of the Sopok Kena Farmers Group Association (Gapoktan), the village government, and resource persons from the West Nusa Tenggara. Province Environment and Forestry Service. The results of the activity showed an increase in the community's understanding and enthusiasm for organic waste management, as well as the participants' ability to independently produce liquid organic fertilizer. The POC product that was produced has undergone a fermentation process and was distributed to the community to be applied directly to plants. This activity contributed to reducing organic waste, increasing environmental awareness, and supporting community-based sustainable agriculture in Denggen Timur Village.
