Abstract

This study aims to determine inclusive education policies and systems for stakeholders in order to create justice and equal distribution of educational benefits for each student. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using narrative interview techniques. The results of the study concluded that there were efforts to improve the quality of education, however, the education system still faces significant problems and challenges, one of the challenges experienced by school administrators and the government is the controversy related to special education standards which are considered discriminatory against students with disabilities. The government and school management are also required to provide adequate medical rehabilitation facilities, where these facilities are expected to focus on improving the quality of individual students and overcoming social and environmental barriers. Another result of the study is that researchers identified that regular schools are currently still struggling to implement the principle of inclusivity in its entirety. Policy and cultural transformation is expected to change mindsets and guarantee the rights of students with disabilities and achieve effective and inclusive learning designs.

Abstract

The aim of inclusive education is to ensure that every child, including those with special needs, has equal opportunities to learn. In this article, we emphasize the importance of social support in creating an inclusive educational environment. It is identified that an important element in providing appropriate support to students with special needs is social support, including emotional support, appreciation support, instrumental support, and informational support. This social support helps to deal with emotional problems, boost motivation, provide practical help, and provide useful information. This social support is vital to helping them thrive and maximize their potential in an inclusive learning environment

Abstract

This research was based on research observations during the third internship at SMK Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli, which so far was still classified as low learning outcomes influenced by the mental health of students. This research aims to determine the influence of mental health on student learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli. This type of research is a quantitative associative strategy method. The data collection technique instrument uses techniques in the form of open and closed questionnaire questions which are distributed to a number of respondents. The data analysis technique uses parametric statistical methods with the help of the SPSS v program. 25 for windows, with a total sample of 32 students being research subjects carried out randomly using a simple purposive sampling sampling. Knowing that the influence of the mental health variable (X) on the learning outcomes variable (Y) is 45.3%. We can see from SPSS data analysis that mental health has an influence on student learning outcomes, and vice versa, the higher the student learning outcomes, the better the mental well-being of students. compared to individuals who have low/poor mental health or have no motivation at all to achieve more optimal academic achievement

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in the digital era faces the challenges of globalization and rapid technological advancement. The multiliteracy approach emerges as a significant innovation in teaching methods to address these challenges. This approach integrates various types of literacy such as digital literacy, media literacy, visual literacy, and critical literacy to enhance the quality of learning. Through a literature review, this study explores the benefits of the multiliteracy approach in Indonesian language learning. The review results indicate that the use of technology in learning can increase student engagement and enrich their learning experiences. Students who use technology in learning show significant improvements in their literacy skills compared to conventional methods. Furthermore, the role of the teacher as a facilitator is crucial in this approach, where the quality of teaching, the feedback given, and student engagement are key factors influencing learning outcomes. Moreover, digital literacy skills are closely related to communication skills. Students involved in collaborative projects using technology show significant improvements in their writing and speaking abilities. The multiliteracy approach also helps students develop more effective and in-depth communication skills, which are highly needed in the 21st century.

Abstract

Globalization has a significant impact on various aspects of life throughout the world, including in the field of education. The current era is characterized by the rapid development of information and communication technology, influencing how education adapts and evolves. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 brings profound transformation in the economy, industry, and education with the adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing. Education must adapt quickly, introduce digital technology in learning, and integrate the 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity) to prepare students to face future challenges. Apart from that, the industrial revolution 4.0 also has impacts including the development of learning methods, faster and more efficient learning services, new challenges and opportunities, changes in ways of learning and teaching, skills expected from teaching staff, changes in assessment evaluation, and challenges of equal access. This research uses a descriptive approach with quantitative analysis to understand the impact and use of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in current global education. Discussions on the integration of digital technology in learning, digital skills development, and global collaboration highlight how education can improve the accessibility, personalization, and quality of learning in an increasingly globally connected era.

Abstract

Globalization and modern technology have greatly affected most aspects of human life. Language and culture are two of the most affected aspects and the age group which is vulnerable to this change is the youngsters. This paper will elaborate the relation of language, culture, and identity through the Hall’s point of view and it will also explain the relation among the three with the Indonesian context, particularly in Javanese. The factors affecting the language shifting usage from Javanese to Indonesians will also be elaborated further. Those factors include sociocultural, socioeconomic, and educational factors. This paper suggests the integration of technology in language learning to enhance the status of the language itself and to improve the students’ interest in studying their local language.

Abstract

The development of billboards in the city of Bandung presents a significant challenge in optimizing public space. One of the factors that needs attention is the linguistic form used in creating billboards. The linguistic form in billboards can affect the effectiveness of communication and the public's understanding of the desired message. The purpose of this study is to analyze the linguistic form of billboards in public spaces in the city of Bandung and to determine how these linguistic forms affect communication effectiveness. This research uses a qualitative method by collecting data through observations on the city of Bandung's protocol roads where billboards are located. The results of the study show that the linguistic form of billboards in the city of Bandung can be in the form of verbal linguistics and there are several factors that influence communication effectiveness, namely linguistic form, typography, linguistic patterns, and language structure.

Abstract

Technology plays an important role in our lives, and has brought humans into the digital era. This change certainly has an influence on lifestyles that cannot be separated from electronic devices in everyday life. In fact, this change in civilization is aimed at making it easier for humans to carry out any activity and work. However, it turns out that this has an impact that is not only positive but also has a negative impact as well. The positive impact is that we can easily access learning resources and can get various information quickly. Meanwhile, the negative impact is that our children will see and be influenced by various sources of bad information, for example pornography, acts of violence, bullying or even narcotics. This of course must inspire all groups, including the government, parents and educators, to immediately become aware and pay more serious attention to the impact of this digital transformation. The more sophisticated the development of digital technology, the greater its influence in various fields, including culture, economics, politics and security maintenance. Education as one of the main pillars of national progress certainly plays a very important role. With the spirit of togetherness in building the nation, of course we can all direct this technological transformation to make it better and more useful.

Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between sports coaching students' knowledge of the dangers of sun exposure and sunscreen use behavior. Data were collected through a knowledge test and behavior questionnaire conducted on 38 students through purposive sampling technique. The results show that students have knowledge about the dangers of sun exposure with a mean value of 7.74 and a mean value of sunscreen use behavior of 52.61. The linearity test analysis results showed a significant linear relationship between knowledge and behavior (p = 0.949). In the partial test (t-test) the result obtained is a significance value of 0.760. Therefore, it can be concluded that 0.760 > 0.050 which indicates that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, meaning that the independent variable (X) has no significant relationship with the dependent variable (Y). Through the coefficient of determination test, a value of 0.003 was obtained, which means that the relationship between variable X (knowledge of the dangers of sun exposure with variable Y (behavior of using sunscreen on sports coaching students) only contributed 0.3%. While the remaining 99.7% is another factor not examined in this study. The findings in this study suggest the need to increase education to increase student awareness of the importance of protecting themselves from UV exposure.
