Abstract

A school allows children to play and enjoy their free time. Learning to count, read, and understand ethics and aesthetics are some of the free time activities. The resources and educational goals of a school determine the size and type of school. According to Law No. 14 of 2005, teachers are professional educators who are responsible for educating, guiding, training, assessing, and evaluating students in early childhood education, including primary and secondary education. This study will examine all public and private high schools in Bali with the 2023/2024 academic year, even semester with the formulation of the problem, namely how the application of the K-means Cluster method can be used on data on the number of students and teachers of high schools throughout Bali in grouping based on the number of high, balanced and low data for each number of students and teachers in high schools throughout Bali. In clustering or grouping teachers and students from 164 high schools throughout Bali. And from the 164 high school data, it is classified into 3 clustering. The result of this analysis is that there are 2 teacher and student data in cluster 1, namely, 50 teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the implementation of the Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun (PAKEM) Learning Model and student engagement in the Fiqh subject in grades VII, VIII, and IX at Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Ulum. A quantitative approach with a correlational method was used in this research. Data analysis was performed using correlation coefficients to measure the strength and direction of the relationship between the two variables under investigation. Data collection was conducted through classroom observation, where the PAKEM learning model was directly implemented, followed by the administration of a questionnaire to students. The results of the study show that the implementation of the PAKEM learning model increases student engagement by 53.6%. This finding affirms the effectiveness of the PAKEM model in encouraging active student participation. In contrast, if the PAKEM model is not applied, student engagement is predicted to decrease by 53.6%. The analysis revealed a significant relationship between the PAKEM learning model and student engagement, with an R square value of 0.553, indicating a "moderate" effect. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient of 0.743 shows a strong relationship between the two variables. These findings confirm that the PAKEM learning model has a significant impact on student engagement in Fiqh learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of emotions in the learning process of students. The method used in this research is a literature review. In this literature review, the data sources used are derived from academic journals, articles, and research reports published in the last 10 years, from December 2014 to December 2024. The search in this study utilized one database, Google Scholar. The search keywords used were "role of emotions", "positive emotions", "negative emotions", “the learning process” and "learners" to obtain relevant academic journals, articles, and research reports. Based on the analysis of several reading sources and previous research findings, it shows that the variable of emotion plays a crucial role in enhancing the learning process in individuals.

Abstract

Keragaman yang dimiliki oleh Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia mencakup beraneka agama, etnis, bahasa, budaya, dan status sosial. Perbedaan yang paling sering menimbulkan perpecahan di Indonesia adalah perpecahan antarumat beragama. Topik keagamaan dalam permasalahan sosial adalah salah satu permasalahan yang sering mencuat ke permukaan publik saat ini. Kasus intoleransi telah ditemukan di berbagai lini bahkan terjadi di lini pemerintahan. Para pemangku kebijakan juga berpartisipasi dalam meningkatkan aksi-aksi intoleran yang ada di Indonesia. Sejumlah kepala daerah di Indonesia menerbitkan kebijakan-kebijakan yang anti dengan toleransi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan implementasi sikap moderasi beragama di sekolah homogen dengan karakteristik kesamaan agama seperti MA MINAT Kesugihan. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa dalam implementasi sikap moderasi beragama yang dilaksanakan di MA MINAT Kesugihan dilakukan melalui beberapa cara, yakni: Pertama, Implementasi sikap moderasi beragama melalui program-program sekolah. Abstract

Citizenship Education (PPKn) is a subject that has the aim of developing the attitudes and abilities of citizens in terms of skills, knowledge and attitudes. Providing material to be taught in Pancasila Education learning makes teachers try to adapt and create active learning, namely by using learning media. The results of interviews with class teachers and observations in class IV of SD N Podorejo 03 showed that in Pancasila Education lessons, students seemed less interested. This is reflected in their low activity and involvement during the learning process. During the open discussion session, only a handful of students showed enthusiasm for asking or answering questions. So we can see that the application of concrete learning media can improve students' understanding of the historical material on the formulation of Pancasila as a whole compared to the use of digital media in the form of learning vidios. This is because the implementation of learning using learning vidios is still hampered by learning facilities, so that not all students can watch the learning vidios well. The material coverage in the learning vidios is not yet comprehensive, some information is still incomplete. Apart from that, the level of student focus must be considered so that the information displayed in the learning vidio can be conveyed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional independence and family social support with the career maturity of high school students in Jayapura. The hypothesis proposed in this study is the relationship between family social support and career maturity of high school students. The subjects of the study were taken using Cluster Random Sampling as many as 100 people. The characteristics of the subjects were 15-18 years old and attended high school in Jayapura. The data collection method in this study used the scale method, namely the family social support scale and the career maturity scale. Data analysis in this study used simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed: a positive relationship between family social support and career maturity, indicated by a correlation coefficient of R = 0.515 and a determination coefficient of R² = 0.265 (p <0.01).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Quizizz media in improving learning outcomes in Pancasila education subjects for class VB students at SD Negeri 47 Palembang, especially in the material on the application of Pancasila in everyday life. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The subjects of the study were 30 class VB students, who were tested with a pretest before the implementation of Quizizz media and a posttest after cycle 1 and cycle 2. The pretest results showed that the average student score was 60 with 40% completion. After the implementation of Quizizz media in cycle 1, the average posttest score increased to 75 with 70% completion. In cycle 2, the average posttest score increased again to 85 with 90% completion. These findings indicate that the use of Quizizz media significantly improves students' understanding of Pancasila values ​​and their application in everyday life. Therefore, it is suggested that this interactive media be applied in learning other subjects to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes. Thus, the study can conclude that this Quizizz educational game-based learning media not only makes it easier for teachers to deliver learning materials, but can also improve students' learning outcomes and their understanding in classroom learning for students.

Abstract

This study highlights the importance of integrating entrepreneurship into the high school curriculum in Indonesia to prepare students for the increasingly complex challenges of the workforce. Integrating entrepreneurship into the curriculum offers significant opportunities, such as enhancing 21st-century skills, fostering collaboration with the business sector, and enabling students to create economic opportunities through independent ventures. However, its implementation faces various challenges, including limited resources, time constraints, and insufficient teacher competencies. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing existing education policies and findings from interviews with teachers and practitioners of entrepreneurship education. The results emphasize the need for policies that support the integration of entrepreneurship into the national education curriculum and allocate resources for teacher training to enhance the quality and effectiveness of entrepreneurship education.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to provide educators a deeper understanding of how to apply ethical theories in practical classroom settings to help them make morally sound decisions. The author uses a literature study approach. The author carries out the analysis process by exploring the application of various ethical theories developed by prominent philosophers such as Immanuel Kant, John Stuart Mill, and Aristotle in the context of education. Ethical decision-making in the classroom is a key element in education that has a long-term impact on the development of student character. Ethical decisions made by teachers, whether based on deontology, utilitarianism, or virtue ethics, influence a learning environment that is not only fair but also supports the formation of students' morals and character. An educational philosophy that integrates ethical principles provides teachers with a solid foundation in dealing with everyday ethical dilemmas, both in the context of assessment, discipline management, and interactions with students. Therefore, the role of teachers as moral guides is very important in creating an environment that not only prioritizes academic results but also the moral character of students, which will guide them in their social lives (Jones & Brooks, 2020; Smith & Thomas, 2021). In order to create more equitable, inclusive, and humane learning environments, we need to further research on the application of educational philosophy to ethical decision-making in the classroom (Tatum, 2022).

Abstract

Language and society are intrinsically linked, with every society having a distinctive vocabulary. This study investigates the varieties of the Batak Simalungunese language, focusing on dialectal and idiolectal variations between Pematang Raya and Saribu Dolok in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations and interviews with eight native speakers aged 35-50. The research reveals significant linguistic variations between the two regions, manifesting in dialectal and idiolectal differences. Notable variations were found in vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammatical patterns. The study contributes to the broader understanding of language diversity in Indonesia and provides insights into the rich linguistic tapestry of the Batak Simalungunese community. These findings highlight the importance of studying regional language variations and their implications for cultural identity and communication within multilingual societies.
