Abstract

Food waste such as fruit peels is often found in domestic waste. Fruit peel waste can produce eco-enzymes that have many benefits and do not harm the environment. The utilization of eco-enzymes can be carried out by empowering the community from production to branding. Branding training is conducted to assist the community in improving their quality of life. The methods used in the training include lectures and discussions with participants who are residents of the Putri Aisyiyah Pucang Gading Orphanage. The training is a continuation of the previous community service activities related to the production of eco-enzymes using fruit peel waste in the surrounding environment. The success of the training is evident from the enthusiasm of the orphanage residents for the eco-enzyme and branding materials presented. Monitoring and evaluation are conducted periodically for the coaching of improving the residents' skills in the aspect of product branding. Similar community service programs need to be developed to help communities improve their quality of life.            Keywords: branding; eco-enzym; fruit peels

Abstract

Product marketing strategy in the digital business era need to utilize optimal use of social media platforms. According to the situational analysis, the target audience for community service was unable to create social media ads for teaching factory products. As a solution to this problem, the service team is committed to providing community service related to assisting in the design of teaching factory product social media advertisements for the target audience. There were 34 participants in this service activity consisting of students and accompanying teachers. The results of the service activities show that overall the activities ran successfully and smoothly. The evaluation results show that there has been an increase in the target audience's understanding of product design for social media advertising. Increased understanding can be seen from the ability to design product advertisements for social media posts by considering color composition, image quality, font size, typeface, and graphic design layout of social media advertisements. The success of implementing this service activity can also be reflected in the increase in sales turnover of teaching factory products.Keywords: advertising design; social media; sales turnover; products; teaching factory Strategi pemasaran produk pada era bisnis berbasis digital perlu memanfaatkan platform media sosial dengan optimal. Analisis situasi menunjukkan bahwa khalayak sasaran pengabdian kepada masyarakat belum mampu melakukan desain iklan produk teaching factory pada media sosial. Sebagai solusi atas permasalahan tersebut, tim pengabdi berkomitmen untuk melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terkait pendampingan desain iklan media sosial produk teaching factory bagi khalayak sasaran. Peserta kegiatan pengabdian ini sebanyak 34 orang yang terdiri atas siswa dan guru pendamping. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan kegiatan berjalan sukses dan lancar. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman khalayak sasaran tentang desain produk untuk iklan media sosial. Peningkatan pemahaman terlihat dari kemampuan mendesain iklan produk untuk postingan media sosial dengan mempertimbangkan komposisi warna, kualitas gambar, ukuran huruf, jenis huruf, dan tata letak desain grafis iklan media sosial. Keberhasilan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini juga dapat tercermin dari adanya peningkatan omzet penjualan produk teaching factory. Kata kunci: desain iklan; media sosial; omzet penjualan; produk; teaching factory

Abstract

The rapid progress of information and communication technology today can be seen in how easy it is for people to communicate and obtain information, even in the face of limited time and space. Advances in information and communication technology are increasingly being applied to various fields and aspects of daily life to provide efficiency and convenience in handling tasks and work related to humans. One area where many people have benefited from advances in information and communication technology is education. To overcome the problems raised, the general approach that will be used in this activity is to teach computer-based media creation to teachers in elementary schools. The one-day computer-based learning media development training was carried out in a structured, patient and comprehensive manner. In general, all participants were involved in activities with strong and consistent motivation. Training as teachers and principals of certain schools to strengthen learning capacity. Teachers need to convey and minimize the results of this lesson to other teachers.            Keywords: instructional media; technology; training

Abstract

The lack of ability to operate advanced mapping technology such as drones creates limitations for village communities in Pemali District, resulting in low community participation and contribution in the planning and management process of village areas. In fact, active community participation is very important to ensure that every development program is in accordance with local needs and conditions to achieve regional development planning as stated in the 2020-2024 RPJMN. For this reason, it is necessary to use drone technology to provide solutions by providing fast and accurate spatial data, as well as improving the technical skills of village communities in mapping and managing areas. Through drone training, it is hoped that village communities can be more independent and actively participate in development planning, as well as opening up new opportunities in the field of technology that can improve their welfare and quality of life. Meanwhile, the method used in community service is in accordance with POAC or Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling. From all the activities and evaluations that have been carried out, the results and conclusions obtained are that training and outreach on the use of drones through community service is considered effective and useful in developing community capabilities and increasing insight into the Pemali sub-district.Keywords: community service; drone; pemali district  Abstrak: Kurangnya kemampuan untuk mengoperasikan teknologi pemetaan canggih seperti drone membuat Keterbatasan Masyarakat desa di Kecamatan Pemali ini menyebabkan rendahnya partisipasi dan kontribusi masyarakat dalam proses perencanaan dan pengelolaan wilayah desa. Padahal, partisipasi aktif masyarakat sangat penting untuk memastikan bahwa setiap program pembangunan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi local untuk mencapai perencanaan pembangunan kawasan seperti yang tertera pada RPJMN 2020-2024. Untuk itu perlu peran penggunaan teknologi drone dapat memberikan solusi dengan menyediakan data spasial yang cepat dan akurat, serta meningkatkan keterampilan teknis masyarakat desa dalam pemetaan dan pengelolaan wilayah. Melalui pelatihan drone, masyarakat desa diharapkan dapat lebih mandiri dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam perencanaan pembangunan, serta membuka peluang baru dalam bidang teknologi yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kualitas hidup mereka. Adapun, untuk metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masayarakat ini sendiri sesuai dengan POAC atau Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling. Abstract

This service aims to improve services and use of social media as a sharia-based camping ground promotion in Twin Lakes, Solok Regency. The service method includes initial identification and analysis of the application of social media carried out by sharia-based camping ground managers on the Twin Lakes, preparation of improvement plans in accordance with the characteristics of sharia-based camping grounds through social media, training and assistance for camping ground business managers, as well as evaluation and monitoring to measure the impact of implementing improved services, social media as promotion, it is hoped that the management of the Twin Lakes sharia-based camping ground can improve services and optimize the use of social media. The results of this service can help managers increase interest in visiting, increase visitor attraction, increase promotion of sharia-based camping grounds. Feedback from managers will also be evaluated to assess the success of the service. It is hoped that through this service, Management can have a better understanding of the importance of improving service quality, optimizing effective and efficient social media in promoting sharia-based camping grounds. Abstract

The problem discovered during interviews conducted between the principal, deputy principal, and lecturers at the Shanti Bhuana Institute was that when the SMPN 1 Teriak school was searched on the internet, no complete identity regarding the school was found, for example history, vision and mission, school excellence and school activities. both academic and non-academic. Based on the problem identification carried out at SMPN 1 Teriak school through interviews and observation methods, the principal hopes that there will be a website that the school can use as a medium for information and promotion. The solution offered by the Shanti Bhuana Institute lecturer was to develop a web profile for the SMPN 1 Teriak school, Bengkayang Regency using WordPress. The school's web profile was designed and developed by lecturers at the Shanti Bhuana Institute. The design and development of the web profile has been socialized and simulated to the school. This web profile can be used by schools to provide interesting content in the form of news about school activities, videos of school activities, and photo galleries of school activities. There are many things that the school can share through its web profile so that SMPN 1 Teriak, Bengkayang Regency can become better known to the public and can become a developing school with advantages that can be enjoyed by both teachers and pupils.            Keywords: Community Service; Web Profile; WordPress; SMPN 1 Teriak; Bengkayang Regency  Abstrak: Permasalahan yang ditemukan selama wawancara yang dilakukan antara kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, bersama dosen Institut Shanti Bhuana adalah ketika sekolah SMPN 1 Teriak dicari di internet tidak ditemukan identitas yang lengkap terkait sekolah, misalnya seperti sejarah, visi misi, keunggulan sekolah, dan kegiatan sekolah baik akademik maupun non akademik. Berdasarkan identifikasi masalah yang dilakukan pada sekolah SMPN 1 Teriak melalui metode wawancara dan observasi, kepala sekolah mengharapkan adanya suatu website yang dapat digunakan sekolah sebagai media informasi dan promosi. Solusi yang ditawarkan oleh dosen Institut Shanti Bhuana adalah memgembangkan web profile untuk sekolah SMPN 1 Teriak Kabupaten Bengkayang menggunakan Wordpress. Web profile sekolah dirancang dan dikembangkan oleh pihak dosen Institut Shanti Bhuana. Perancangan dan pengembangan web profile tersebut telah disosialisasikan dan disimulasikan kepada pihak sekolah. Web profile ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pihak sekolah untuk memberikan konten yang menarik berupa berita kegiatan sekolah, video kegiatan sekolah, dan galeri foto kegiatan sekolah. Banyak hal yang dapat pihak sekolah share melalui web profile sehingga SMPN 1 Teriak Kabupaten Bengkayang dapat semakin dikenal oleh masyarakat dan dapat menjadi sekolah yang berkembang dengan keunggulan yang dapat dinikmati oleh guru maupun siswa/siswa.Kata kunci: Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat; Web Profile; Wordpress; SMPN 1 Teriak; Kabupaten Bengkayang.

Abstract

The use of natural resources for the implementation of development is closely related to the environment and spatial planning. These two things have so far tended to be unplanned and unsustainable, the result of which is a decline in the quality and function of the environment, including the natural resources within it. Environmental problems are increasing day by day, this indicates that environmental policy has not been successful. The community service activity was carried out on Friday 26 July 2024 at the Subak Sibang Kaja Abiansemal Hall. The problem formulation in this report is firstly, What is the form of community synergy to realize sustainable development in environmental management? and secondly, what are the inhibiting factors in realizing sustainable development? The aim of this report is to find out the synergy of society in realizing sustainable development in environmental management and what factors are obstacles in realizing sustainable development. Abstract

Coconut fiber or coir is the outer part of the coconut fruit that is often considered as waste after the meat and water are extracted. Without proper processing, discarded coconut fibers will accumulate in the surrounding environment and creating a number of environmental problems. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the students through training in processing coconut fiber waste into cocopeat using a chopping machine. This cocopeat product can be used as an organic planting medium. This training was held at the Al Mimbar boarding school in Jombang, East Java, which can create an alternative source of income for the boarding school and foster environmental awareness among students. The methods used in this training include socialization and hands-on practice in making cocopeat. The results of this activity show that the students are increasingly aware of the environment, are able to process coconut fiber waste into quality cocopeat, and understand the economic value of the product as well as the market potential that can be utilized by the pesantren to get additional sources of funding from the sales of cocopeat. Thus, this program can be the first step for pesantren in developing sustainable environment-based businesses, as well as making a positive contribution to improving the local economy.Keywords: ecopreneurship; coconut fiber; cocopeat Abstrak: Serabut kelapa atau sabut kelapa adalah bagian luar dari buah kelapa yang sering dianggap sebagai limbah setelah diambil daging dan airnya. Tanpa pengolahan yang tepat, serabut kelapa dibuang akan menumpuk di lingkungan sekitar sehingga menciptakan sejumlah masalah lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para santri melalui pelatihan pengolahan limbah serabut kelapa menjadi cocopeat dengan menggunakan mesin pencacah. Produk cocopeat ini dapat digunakan sebagai media tanam organik. Pelatihan ini diselenggarakan di pondok pesantren Al Mimbar Jombang Jawa Timur yang dapat menciptakan sumber pendapatan alternatif bagi pesantren dan menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan di kalangan santri. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini meliputi sosialisasi dan praktek langsung pembuatan cocopeat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa para santri semakin sadar akan lingkungan, mampu mengolah limbah serabut kelapa menjadi cocopeat berkualitas, dan memahami nilai ekonomis dari produk tersebut serta potensi pasar yang dapat dimanfaatkan pesantren mendapatkan tambahan sumber pendanaan dari pendapat penjualan cocopeat. Dengan demikian, program ini dapat menjadi langkah awal bagi pesantren dalam mengembangkan usaha berbasis lingkungan yang berkelanjutan, serta memberikan kontribusi positif bagi peningkatan perekonomian lokal.Kata kunci: ecoprenuership; sabut kelapa; cocopeat

Abstract

Many vocational college graduates got difficulties during job interview process. Therefore, this community service activity aims to enhance vocational college students’ English communication skills, especially in public speaking, during the job interview process. It was done online through a Zoom meeting, which was opened for vocational college students in Madiun City, East Java. The activity was done in May 2024, starting from the preparation, implementation, and evaluation process. It ran well and benefited vocational college students by equipping them with and broadening their knowledge regarding the job interview process. The participants’ feedback was positive, in which the survey results showed that the community service activity improved their public speaking skills and confidence. The participants also provided a rough description of the job interview process through mock interviews. It is hoped that a similar activity will be carried out continuously in the future.            Keywords: English, Public Speaking, Training, Vocational College, Vocational Students Banyak lulusan kampus vokasi yang kesulitan saat menjalani proses interviu kerja. Untuk itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi bahasa Inggris mahasiswa vokasi terutama pada public speaking di proses wawancara kerja. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui Zoom meeting yang dibuka bagi mahasiswa vokasi di kota Madiun, Jawa Timur. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2024 yang dimulai dari proses persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar dan bermanfaat bagi para mahasiswa vokasi dalam memperlengkapi dan memperluas wawasan mereka mengenai proses wawancara kerja. Umpan balik dari para peserta menunjukkan nilai positive dimana hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini meningkatkan kemampuan public speaking para peserta dan rasa percaya diri mereka. Para peserta juga mendapatkan gambaran kasar mengenai proses wawancara kerja melalui kegiatan mock-interview. Abstract

Digital-based learning is the biggest obstacle faced by partner schools. This has an impact on the accessibility of learning materials and limited information. Therefore, this PKM aims to develop a prototype website for elementary schools to improve the quality and accessibility of education in partner schools.  The research method used is a design-based research approach consisting of two semesters. The first semester is used to design and develop a prototype of the school's website, while the second semester is focused on analyzing and testing its effectiveness. The limitation of this study lies in creating a prototype school website that can support the teaching and learning process in schools through digital-based teaching media. The results of this development research are a prototype of a school website that is ready to be tested. The prototype of the school website developed is expected to be a valuable medium for schools, students, and parents to support a more effective and efficient learning process. Thus, this research is expected to open the door to a more inclusive and quality education for all children in Parepare.            Keywords: Digital-based open media; Design-based research prototype; Learning effectiveness; Basic education;  Web-based school;Pembelajaran berbasis digital menjadi kendala terbesar yang dihadapi oleh sekolah mitra. Hal ini berdampak pada aksesibilitas materi pembelajaran dan informasi yang terbatas. Oleh karena itu, PKM ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah prototipe website untuk sekolah dasar sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan aksesibilitas pendidikan di sekolah mitra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan design based research, yang terdiri dari dua semester. Semester pertama digunakan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan prototipe website sekolah, sementara semester kedua difokuskan pada analisis dan pengujian efektivitasnya. Batasan kajian ini terletak pada pengembangkan prototipe website sekolah yang dapat memberikan dukungan terhadap proses belajar mengajar di sekolah melalui media ajar berbasis digital. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan ini berupa prototipe website sekolah yang siap untuk diujicobakan. Prototipe website sekolah yang dikembangkan diharapkan dapat menjadi media yang bermanfaat bagi sekolah, siswa, dan orang tua dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan efisien.
