Abstract

MSMEs in Indonesia are a potential basis for a strong national economy because of their large number, especially micro businesses, and their labor absorption capacity is very large. Sendangtirto Village, which is part of the Berbah District Area, Sleman Regency, DIY, also has quite large MSME potential. By knowing and mapping the potential of MSMEs in Sendangtirto and assisting by providing training outreach and mentoring on the digitalization of Sendangtirto MSMEs, it is hoped that it will advance and be able to develop MSMEs, increasing competitiveness with the integration of digital platforms. This service function aims to apply and disseminate the knowledge and skills possessed by academics to the wider community, as well as contributing directly to improving the quality of life and sustainable development. The results of data analysis from the questionnaire showed a significant increase in participants' understanding after the socialization. The participants' positive response to the benefits and ease of use of digital platform robots for ease in digitalizing MSMEs illustrates the success of this socialization.            Keywords: digitalization; socialization;potential of MSMEs

Abstract

The village of Margamulya Tj. Kait is one of the foster villages of LPPM Ukrida. From the results of interviews and direct observations, there are several main issues faced by partners, including: limited access and dissemination of financial information and village profiles to external parties as well as to the villagers themselves. Community service is conducted by utilizing technology to develop a digital village community ecosystem where social media-based platforms serve as everyday communication, socialization, and collaboration tools. The implementation method is carried out through: (1) development of social media platforms; (2) training on platform usage. With the developed social media platform program, the target output is achieved through the evaluation of activities, where the benefit of interaction between village officials and villagers, as well as the dissemination and access to important information, becomes easier. Keywords: digital platform; village digitalization; digital village; margamulya village

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students. The method used in training is through lectures, discussions, assignments, questions and answers. The presenter delivers psychoeducation about careers to open up insight into the benefits and importance of careers for students, self-awareness to increase self-awareness, Johari window to increase knowledge about oneself, set the goals using the SMART method, reveal one's potential through SWOT analysis, and personality analysis through the RIASEC test to determine the suitability of personality with the desired career. Measurements were carried out twice. The first measurement (pre-test) is carried out before implementing the program to determine the initial conditions for student career decision-making. The second measurement (post-test) is carried out after students receive career training. Next, the results of the pre-test and post-test data were statistically analyzed using a paired-sample t-test using SPSS 23.0 for Windows. The results of the PKM activities carried out show that career planning training is able to increase the career maturity of MA students. Students' understanding of themselves will help them determine their career plans in accordance with their interests and talents.Keyword : career maturity; career training; students

Abstract

This village is famous as Kampung Pancasila Village. However, the problem in this village is the low level of awareness about how important education is in the future. This is because parents have busy activities all day long and when they get home they are tired, causing them to pay less attention to their children, so they sometimes ask their children to work together to earn additional income for the family. So to solve this problem, the PPK ORMAWA UNA service team provides knowledge and information services on non-formal learning based on community needs in the form of books and non-books in literacy corners, equipped with information technology devices, providing information services from sources. access to information to the public related to 6 basic literacies. The methods used in community service activities are conducting initial surveys, identifying regional potential and problems, analyzing community needs, forming programs with the community, determining target audiences, formulating indicators of program success, implementing programs, socializing and publishing them to the community, providing library materials and corners. literacy and providing non-formal education service facilities. The results of this activity resulted in 9 literacy corners in Air Genting Village which developed non-formal learning based on community needs and the operation of literacy corners with different programs and management.Keywords: reading corner, literacy, Air Genting Abstrak: Desa ini terkenal dengan Desa Kampung Pancasila. Namun yang menjadi permasalahan di Desa ini adalah rendahnya tingkat kesadaran tentang betapa pentingnya pendidikan di masa depan. Hal ini disebabkan karena padatnya aktivitas orang tua sehari penuh dan setiba di rumah sudah kelelahan membuat kurangnya perhatian terhadap anaknya sehingga terkadang meminta anaknya untuk bekerja bersama mencari penghasilan tambahan keluarga. Maka untuk  menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, Tim pengabdi PPK Ormawa UNA menyediakan layanan pengetahuan serta informasi pada pembelajaran non-formal berbasis kebutuhan masyarakat berbentuk buku ataupun non- buku yang ada di pojok- pojok literasi, yang dilengkapi dengan perangkat  teknologi informasi, menyediakan layanan informasi dari sumber akses informasi kepada masyarakat yang berkaitan dengan 6 literasi dasar. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah melakukan survei awal, mengidentifikasi potensi daerah dan masalah, menganalisis kebutuhan masyarakat, pembentukan program bersama masyarakat, menetapkan khalayak sasaran, merumuskan indikator keberhasilan program, melaksanakan program, mensosialisasikan dan mempublikasi kepada masyarakat, menyediakan bahan pustaka dan pojok literasi dan mengadakan perlengkapan fasilitas layanan pendidikan non-formal. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menghasilkan 9 pojok literasi di Desa Air Genting yang mengembangkan pembelajaran non-formal berbasis kebutuhan masyarakat serta beroperasinya pojok-pojok literasi dengan program dan kepengurusan yang berbeda-beda.Kata Kunci: Pojok Baca, Literasi, Air Genting

Abstract

Everyone who is capable and able to communicate, however, is not necessarily skilled at speaking in public. This limitation occasionally leads to communication misunderstandings. The IAIN Metro Community Service Team studied the English Training and Gathering (Estage) Language Education Institute, which implements the English system in a Metro City - Lampung area as a forum for improving the speaking skills and quality of members from elementary to advanced classes, supported by gathering activities that encourage students to dare to speak in public. The service training activities were given to helpg students at the English Village Estage understanding the elements and processes of public speaking. Participant skills in public speaking, such as the ability to think on the go, develop vocals to have a microphonic voice, and get used to speaking without primarily relying on text, some participants were found need ongoing preparation and adaptation to public speaking. The main ways of becoming prepared for public speaking were to help the participants develop courage and self-confidence, as well as to increase their knowledge and comprehension by continually practicing.            Keywords: english; estage; community service; public speaking

Abstract

Having problem of reaching the tested aspects of TOEFL particularly on achieving target score of TOEFL set, participants needed to be provided an intervention with TOEFL preparation class before encountering the test. For that reason, this community service activity highlighted the impact of TOEFL preparation class on the non EFL learners’ achievement. One class was used as the sample of this activity in which it consisted of twenty students coming from different major in one of private universities in Palembang, southern region of sumatera. Descriptive analysis with experimental design was used. A test was administered to see whether or not there was a significant improvement on the non EFL learners’ TOEFL-like score achievement. The results revealed that achievement level of the participants were in the elementary and intermediate category. Besides, statistically there was a significant improvement on the EFL learners’ TOEFL-like score intervened by the provision of TOEFL preparation class. Thus, it could be further concluded that TOEFL preparation class was impactful on the non EFL undergaduates’ English achievement. Keywords: TOEFL preparation class; Non EFL Classroom; Non EFL learners’                  achievement

Abstract

Kinematika adalah cabang ilmu fisika yang fokus pada pemahaman gerakan benda, tanpa mempertimbangkan gaya yang berpengaruh padanya. Hal ini sering menjadi materi yang rumit bagi siswa di tingkat SMA, karena memerlukan pemahaman tentang konsep-konsep seperti kecepatan, percepatan, waktu, jarak, dan hubungan antara mereka. Universitas Andalas memiliki Program Studi S1 Fisika di bawah Departemen Fisika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Setiap semster Departemen Fisika selalu mengadakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sesuai dengan salah satu Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Salah satu pengabdian yang rutin dilakukan Departemen Fisika setiap semester adalah membina SMA di lingkungan Sumatera Barat. Pengabdian tentang pengayaan konsep kinematika di SMA dapat menjadi salah satu upaya yang sangat penting untuk membantu siswa mengatasi kesulitan dalam memahami konsep kinematika.  Pengabdian ini melibatkan mitra SMA N 1 Gunung Talang yang berada di Kabupaten Solok, Provinsi Sumatera Barat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang Konsep Kinematika di SMAN 1 Gunung Talang. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, kegiatan inti yaitu penyampaian materi dan evaluasi proses pengabdian. Hasil menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang materi kinematika berdasarkan pembandingan hasil pre-test dan post test yaitu sebesar 33,3 %.

Abstract

The village website is a medium for the disclosure of various public information by the government. In line with this, Sumber Baru village, Seputih Banyak District, Central Lampung has a village website that the government can use as a communication medium for village programs, but its management is still not optimal. The aim of this service is to provide assistance to village operators to manage websites, especially in terms of writing articles, taking photos and managing website interface. The method used in this mentoring activity is the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method. This mentoring activity will be carried out in September-October 2023 and consists of 5 stages of mentoring, namely coordination, socialization, training, mentoring and evaluation. After completing the mentoring activities, the results of the mentoring can be seen directly on the village website and show that there has been an improvement in website management, such as an increase in the number of news/activities in Sumber Baru Village that are reported on the website. It is hoped that mentoring activities like this will be further increased to improve the quality of village human resources which will have an impact on improving public communication by the village government.            Keywords: mentoring; public communication; village website

Abstract

This article discusses the use of Fun Books as a measuring tool to increase students' creativity at elementary school level in mathematics and language learning. This service is carried out with a focus on measuring students' creativity levels before and after implementing the Fun Book as well as evaluating how to stimulate students' creativity in both subjects. The target of the training is selected students, namely SD Negeri No. 010246 Banjar. The students selected were 16 Grade 2 students. The problem seen at this school is that students are still passive in learning, students are not yet creative and have difficulty answering questions asked by the teacher during each lesson in class, there are even 50% of students who are sleepy when taking part in class lessons. The impact of this training was that 13 students were able to use Fun Book media. Evaluation is carried out at the end of the training by distributing questionnaires to measure the participant's level of understanding. The questionnaire contains questions related to the respondent's identity; general questions related to mathematics and language learning and specific questions related to Fun Book media. The calculation of the questionnaire used the Guttman scale. The evaluation results showed that 89.84% had increased knowledge seen from the calculation of the questionnaire per individual and per question asked and the participation and enthusiasm of students during activities using the Fun Book.Keywords: Fun Book; creativity; student

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Fingermathic method in forming students' independent learning character. This method is applied in mathematics learning in elementary schools with a focus on the use of fingers as a tool for visualizing arithmetic operations. The research involved students as test subjects who were assessed through an evaluation questionnaire on various aspects of the characteristics of independent learning. The results of the analysis show that the Fingermathic method can increase students' learning initiative and self-confidence, although more attention is still needed on the aspects of setting targets, overcoming difficulties, and evaluating learning outcomes. The conclusions of this research provide a basis for further development in designing learning strategies that support the formation of students' independent learning character at the elementary school level.            Keywords: student character; learning independence; fingermathic
